Called to verify if they had a notary the guy on the phone said yes sure I’m here til 6pm come before then. I arrived about 30-40 min to the store and the notary guy was on the phone when another worker greeted me. I explained what service I needed and the guy on the phone whom was the notary rudely started saying “oh no oh no Im on a phone call come back in 1 hour, Im on a vey important phone call. I would never come to this up’s location again I’m baffled at the treatment I received as a customer!! Would give 0 stars if I could but the other worker politely apologized.
Dear Mr. ParkJust wanted to take a moment and comment on the outstanding service we received on 01/02/2021 at the UPS Store you manage. Even though the line to get service was literally to the door, both gentleman at the counter worked efficiently, getting us to the counter in just a few minutes (with the amount of customers, I assumed it would be a much longer wait). The young man that helped us, Conner, exemplified what I consider to be a model employee. He greeted us as we approached the counter and helped us through the myriad of on-line screens to generate 2 return tags, all this while being extremely patient explaining what we need to do in order to return our items.As I work for a company that requires this type of customer service, I typically measure other businesss with that standard. Conner exceeded those expectations with flying colors. And because of his level of attentiveness, there will be no doubt as to where I will take my business when I require the services you offer.Thank you for employing such a quality individual, knowing he represents your establishment well.

I frequent this location. Staff is friendly and always recognizes me the moment I walk in the door. I have often times passed up other ups locations in order to do my business here. Anytime I go to this location they make it impossible for me to do business with them, John the older guy that is always there will not do what he supposed to do. One time I went with a package that needed to be packed and he did pack it and charged me $8 for parking and then told me he cant ship it for me I have to go to the post office to do that, why didnt he say that before he packed it and charged me the $8? Saturday I went with 2 amazon packages (2 shirts) I should him the 2 rq codes but he wanted me to buy envelopes to be able to send back to amazon. Amazon and UPS costumer service both told me I didnt need to pack them, ups will do that for me. I am done with this location,
I will never go to this location again. I am a mobile notary and visit a UPS Store a couple times a week to print documents. I am always able to send a pdf to the store and they print them with no issues. I always pay .10 for letter and .14 for legal. This store charged me .35 per page and could not even figure out how to print legal size, Gregory was rude and not helpfuland claimed that they charge more if they are printing versus copying. WHAT? Why would it matter? It comes out of the same machine? The UPS Store is supposed to assist business and be a Print Center. This location is not and I will have to drive out of the way to avoid this location in the future.
I stopped by this Plainfield location to mail some documents for my brother’s trucking company. I was met with nothing short of rudeness, ignorance and disrespect by the manager John. It was my intent to rate the store with zero stars. Unfortunately, that was not an option. John was beyond rude when communicating with me. I informed him that I would like to mail documents and receive a tracking number. He asked for my phone number. When I asked if the number needed to be mine and whether or not the number provided would be used in the tracking, he was dismissive and responded with “whatever”. I asked the question multiple times with no response given by him. As I asked other clarifying questions, on at least 3 occasions, he continued to ignore me. So much so that Each time I asked a question and was ignored the younger worker had to step in and say, “John, she is asking you a question.” The coworker used the same tone and volume that I used, but miraculously, John responded when called by his colleague. John acknowledged him by saying “yes” and looking up from the computer. But when told that I was attempting to get his attention, to my utter disbelief, John, wearing the name tag “ store manager” even dismissed his colleague and continued typing the information into the computer, without responding to me or my question or asking if he could further clarify anything. This was BY FAR the most UNPROFESSIONAL experience I have ever had. His behavior was unwarranted and deplorable. Under no circumstances should this behavior be tolerated by or be representative of UPS, on any day. Please address John’s actions through appropriate means to ensure that your business is represented by and through the service provided by your customer service staff.
As stated in other reviews the staff here is rude and unhelpful and that is putting it nicely. I had a large package (auto parts) to return to a company who sent the wrong items. They sent me a return shipping label via email while I was standing in the store and I emailed it to the email address provided on the managers card and he then refused to open the email. He wouldn’t print the label and demanded that I do it myself pointing to a public computer which is unsecured. He didn’t want to hear it and walked away in mid conversation going to the back area. I had to haul the box as tall as me back out to my truck and call UPS to just send the driver to my house to pick the item up. I would drive an hour to another store if I had to before ever using the services at this store. Extremely unprofessional. Not sure how he even manages to stay in business. Only thing he’s got going for his store is a convenient location so that gives him half a star out of five. Not even the one star I had to give to write this review. There is another UPS store just East on Caton Farm near Essington on the right hand side or South on 59 to Jefferson make a right and there is one on the left hand side right before River road. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 5 minutes because you’ll save time and frustration later.

Became an online Merchant 3 months ago and ship 15 - 20 boxes per week with various weights. Have dropped off prepaid boxes for delivery to this store on many occasions. They didnt have to do anything as I printed and put the labels on myself. They just had to scan them in... and put them on the shelf for the UPS driver who stops by a couple times a day. Never extremely friendly..but was just dropping off, wasnt concerned. My last visit I had 5 or 6 heavy boxes and the owner and person behind the counter started to give me grief. The owner started off joking that he should charge me extra dollars for anything over 2 boxes like they do in the city...huh? I do all the work here...you do nothing. Scan them in and put them on shelf. The other person said they only make $1 on each box and the real money is when they pack stuff. Like I care. He suggested I just have UPS come pick them up for me or try another location. Seriously? When I have come in with multiple boxes...they seem perturbed to ask for the ONE old cart they have where the handle comes off as you pull it. I have had boxes fall off cart more then once...they definitely could care less. The kicker was when the owner jokingly said he should charge me $5 to use the cart. No worries...I had had my fill. The next day I decided to switch to Fed Ex across the street and had a total different experience. 4 newer carts available...friendly staff...checked in in seconds...felt like they appreciated my business. Maybe because they are a corporate store and the UPS is a franchise store with an owner that feels like hes doing the public a favor by accepting packages rather then customer service. I get the impression his/their goal was to have me stop dropping off packages. If that was the case you win! Irregardless...the one star reviews I had read about this place are pretty much spot on. Am now a happy Fed Ex customer
I dropped off a package that was being sent back because it was brought to my house damaged. The staff and there is very rude and very unprofessional they made me call Amazon and have them send a new printing label. They also had to tape the box they said they would not accept it. They wouldnt even offer me any tape they were being rude to me in there so I said I had to buy tape and tape the box myself. They didnt even offer to help me to bring the box in the store I had to carry it in all by myself. I will avoid the store and go to other UPS stores that would be better for me and treat me with respect.
Fast and easy service. Ive been here numerous time to ship out returns from Amazon and once to return an internet router. Process was fast and the staff are friendly and helpful. Glad to have this UPS near me.
Very rude. Entered store without a greeting from anyone. Looked for a cart and was told you have to ask to use it.It should be easily accessible to public. I wasnt going to steal it.Going to different store from.now on.Wont be back EVER !

My wife and I just got back from the UPS Store about an hour ago, it is Jan 31rst the coldest day of the year here in Joliet. As bad as the weather is outside and as short staffed as many businesses are today due to call offs we where very happy with the service and attention that we received. The elder gentleman who also provided us with Notary Service was quite patient and attentive. Will definitely be making this my store for our future shipping needs. Thank You.

Shipment From Plainfield, IL to Clarendon Hills, ILI been doing these shipments for the last two year (1-2 shipments per week) from this UPS store and had some hick ups here and there when owner did try to charge me for it next day air, but when he got to know me as a customer there was never questions asked besides for my ph # and where to shipI caught couple times when I did send my family member to mail my documents charges where 25-28$ and it claimed to me next day air. So twice I did overlook those charges but yesterday when I actually send my husband to do shipment John again charged for next day air my point you know now me as your costumer and you acknowledge me each week by special hellos why are you trying to do wrong because you know this shipment is 30miles shipment ??? and i am pretty sure John knows there is no next day delivery by air available for 30 miles distance.... so disappointed, and to make it worse I made a ph call and asked him why he did such a thing and he got quite offensive.... wont get much in conversation but I shall say was unprofessional .If you treat your customers like that who is actually loyal customers and come to your business location every week why dont you be a little bit nicer.I was at least trying to get an apology but that did not happen at all. Shame shame shameSir John you took my $ for service that does not make sense and then did not have balls to apologizeGood luck to you Sir, and in my case I have another ups store here not to far that I can use
Staff is very rude and not accommodating at all. Would not recommend coming to this location if you have a lot to ship. They are not the most knowledgeable either.

Called at 4:30 and asked if they had notary, was told yes. Asked when the notary was there until, was told 7. Arrived at 6:30 and was told the notary had left. I asked why I was told 7 on the phone, he couldnt answer
