Every time I need something altered or a tear closed up on a shirt or pants, she always does a great job at fixing everything and her repairs last a while. I have been going here every time I need something done. She is great and will not dissatisfy. Would highly recommend.

Wifes dress was altered correctly to fit, and what was quoted was paid. Not worth the trouble though. Not done on time, was handed a completely different dress when came to pick up initially. Dress was balled up when it was ready for pickup, experienced multiple other customers complaining of similar issues during pick up.

My dress was done very well and I could tell she put time and effort into it… BUT she told me to come back in two days after completing the first part of the alteration so that she could work on the length. I called on my way there and she said she didn’t have it done as I was already halfway there with my baby in the car. She asked me to come back 5 hours later. I asked her how much I needed to bring because she only takes cash, which is kinda sketchy in my opinion. She told me $150!!!!! It was a hem and a middle section needed to be shortened. I understand I’m not a seamstress but it seemed VERY steep. I got my wedding dress altered for $150 at a different place, but this is a bridesmaid dress that didn’t have very complicated fabric. I only paid $50 for the dress itself, so having an alteration that was triple its price was super hard to swallow. I asked her to tell me how much each job costs but she couldn’t really tell me which was another problem. I will not be returning here for future alteration jobs.

!!! Do not use this lady!!!!! My wife needed alterations on a dress that was 2 sizes too large so we found this woman who wasn’t able us an actual itemized price before she botched our wedding dress making it too small 3 separate times not to mention the zipper fell off after she was done. She sent the brand new dress in for unnecessary cleaning supposedly, although no differences were noticed except her seem lines. She charged 650 for alterations since she had to use extra fabric to make up for her mistakes then 150 dollars to clean a brand new spotless dress. She had our dress for months and was still alternating it mere days before our wedding!! Days!! Not to mention when I called to discuss the situation she hung up on me 3 times and then refused to answer my calls. This place is obviously a scam run by a super rude unprofessional hateful woman but hey if you’d like your grandmother yelled at for pointing out how it doesn’t fit by all means enjoy the head ache that this lady calls a “business” would give negative stars if possible and she should be looking forward to a lawsuit in the future.

I had jeans that were two sizes too big. So she took in the waist, thighs and the calves to keep the style of the jeans which were straight jeans. She charged me 45$ but they results were amazing! You couldn’t tell they were altered without looking too close the jeans. The stitching and her method was professional looking and subtle. Also she was able to finish it in a week. Btw she accepts cash only.

Highly recommend this seamstress. She is very professional and friendly. Her work speaks for itself. I have had several pants hemmed and tapered here. Im pretty particular, and she never fails to impress.

I bought a beautiful dress for my daughter but it was just a little to big on top. I brought it in and Jinu put a couple pins in it as measurements and told us to come back in a week. My daughter was at school when I picked it up but she assured me it would fit right. When she put it on it was too tight and a strap broke, I was able to sew it back on but soon a clasp on the back broke off. I brought it back in to be fixed and she asked me to give her two weeks. I called after three weeks and it still wasnt ready because she had alot of prom dresses to work on. I gave her three more weeks and she said it was ready. When we went to pick it up it fit exactly the same and there was still a missing clasp. IT WAS CLEAR SHE DIDNT TOUCH THE DRESS. Not wanting to leave it with her any longer we just left. I will get it fixed somewhere else.

Do not leave your wedding dress for her to alter. She literally takes it to some storage unit without your knowledge. When I went to get my dress back from her she told me to come back in a few days because it was not there. When I went to pick it up a few days later she had it hanging without the cover and dragging on the floor. She was also beyond rude and mad at me because I decided to use a different wedding dress. Absolutely crazy lady!

Jinu is my go to person for all alterations. She is wonderful and reasonable in her pricing. We just picked up my 2nd daughters wedding dress that she had to alter alot by hand due to the lace and she did a beautiful job!! Jinu has done both my girls wedding, prom and special occasion dresses!!

Jinu is truly talented. She has a gift for determining how clothes should fit the person to make them look their best. She is more of a tailor and seamstress as opposed to someone who just does alterations. She is equally skilled at mens and womens clothes. She may be a little more expensive than your run of the mill alterations, but she is 100% worth it. Cash only.

Jinu Alteration is by far the best tailor around. Ive been to numerous tailors around Indianapolis, and none has done nearly as good of a job as she did. She is thoughtful, caring, and meticulous with her work. I will definitely be going back to her with any other alterations and recommend that you do as well.

Looks like I was not the only one taken advantage of. I needed my $180 wedding dress that I got a great deal on altered. I needed it to be raised as it was too long. She said it was a complicated process and I was willing to put as much as I paid because I got a really good price for it. She would not give me an estimate and said she would have to see how long it took. Red flag. I should have taken it elsewhere. This was the first time I had something altered and I didnt know what to expect. Maybe prices given at the end was normal? I went a couple times afterwards for fittings and asked for the price and she still wouldnt give it to me. I wasnt too concerned as I did some research on fitting prices and felt it would still be within my range. Well on the day of she charged me $480, more than double of what the dress costs. I was shocked. I was completely taken advantage of and this woman knew this was my first alteration. And come the wedding day, the dress was still too long.Jinu is a crook, dont go there. If there is no contract at the beginning, then there is no guarantee what you will be charged.

I bought a Brooks Brothers suit for a wedding and it was a little big (even though they fitted me before ordering it). Brooks Brothers didn’t have a tailor in due to COVID, so I went to Jinu. She was able to finish both of my suits that I brought in before the wedding! They looked great and professional!

I had a very difficult fix, when a snap on my jacket broke, and I was missing the snap side. She worked her magic and completely saved my jacket! I’m so thankful because it wasn’t cheap, and was somewhat new. I highly recommend her services, as we have been dealing with Jinu Alterations for more than 10 years!

Jinus does excellent work at a reasonable price. There were actually alterations I didnt know I needed that she suggested per my pants and blazer fits, and I cant believe how great they fit when she was done considering how odd a shape I have. Will return for certain for any future alterations.

Very nice, fair pricing, wonderful work, and my items were ready in a few days. I felt safe leaving my items with her. She also sewed some patches on my boyfriends leather Harley vest, and did an EXCELLENT job. She does not overcharge.

I took a dress to her for an estimate and she couldnt give me a price that was my first inclination but a dear friend recommended this facility. So I left the dress to be altered. Did the two fittings and suppose to pick it up this week. However when she gave me the price then added $90.00 to it that she claims she forgot i was floored. I paid $100.00 for the dress and very little alternating done, but I know this is a special gift to be able to work with this type of material and such. But honestly I could have just bought a fancy dress for what I am being charged $480.00 I am not happy and will not recommend this. My friend had a dress totally redone and it was only $280.00 so I was expecting about that much or less. I am even more upset because I asked for an estimate or a ball park figure and she couldnt give me one but kept saying very reasonable. But did make comment at first fitting that If didnt pick up the dress she would take us to court. Another red flag. Not happy and feel that when someone says wedding the price goes sky high and ridiculous.

This 1 star is being extremely nice. Jinu was completely overpriced. I gave her my bridesmaids dress with 4 weeks notice. Since I’m pregnant, she waited to do the alterations until the week of the wedding by HER choice. I was charged $185 for shortening my straps and length and expanding my underneath slip to accommodate my belly. I questioned her and her response was not reassuring. She couldn’t itemize how she charged me either. I was completely taken advantage of. I have never been charged this much for ANY alteration. I’m not sure how she has that many stars but I will not be back nor would I refer anyone I know to see her.

This was my second attempt to get a dress altered for my sons wedding. She set a price then tried to charge me $50 more. When I went back to pick it up the Thursday before the wedding, it fit great but had little grease marks all over it from her fingers, Im guessing she was eating when she was working in it because when I went in for the first fitting, she was eating and I noticed a mark when she was pinning up the hem. It had to be sent back out for dry cleaning. When I picked it up Friday before the Saturday Wedding it finally was ready. She did pick up the dry cleaning. And the dress turned out beautiful. A friend of mine was quoted 300$ for alterations on a dress and then she wanted to charge 900$ when it came time to pay. Cops were called and he said HE HAS BEEN THERE MULTIPLE TIMES FOR THE SAME ISSUE. DO NOT go here for alterations.

She’s great with men’s clothing. She has helped me keep my suits fitting. She’s also great at quality hems, including my golf pants.I also highly recommend them for young/teen boys alterations. She perfectly fit my oldest son’s prom tux and delivered an expertly tailored suit for my very lean 14 year old son. They both really like interacting. She’s very friendly and she makes them comfortable with what is a pretty unfamiliar process for guys.

Been a client of Jinus for about 10 years. My alterations needs arent to difficult, hems and making long sleeves short. She does great work. Recently, my wife bought a dress to wear to our daughters wedding, custom ordered. We eventually took it to Jinu to get it fixed, the place that originally made it just didnt have the time or the skill, I believe. Jinu came through, the dress looks awesome !!!

I needed a new zipper put in my work pants. She was able to fit me in the same day with a last minute notice. I didnt mind paying extra for my work pants because I had looked for a new pair of pants for a few weeks.

I came to Jinu with a wedding dress emergency. Jinu was such a sweet lady with good customer service and I was so pleased she accepted the task. My wedding dress was a terrible fit. The dress was too big and too long among other things, and it needed to be altered in less than a week. I ordered my dress online and it took forever for me to get it, so I knew I had no time to send it back to swap it for a smaller size. I couldnt afford all the alterations that Jinu suggested, but she came up with an affordable alternative to fix the most important areas that would flatter my shape. Very Bad Experience !! I got yelled at by the owner, Unbelievable!! Save your time & money and find another alteration. Was given one price when I dropped off my items and had to pay a surprising extra $55 since it took her too much time than what she quoted me originally. The owner started screaming and yelling at me for negotiating the price and telling her that is not what she quoted me. The place stinks badly too. Very unprofessional lady!! Will never go back!

Got a suit altered for a wedding here. Pants hemmed, sleeves and shoulders altered. Total cost was around $120. It seemed like a bit much for me at the time, but I have no idea what other places charge, and I was pleased with the result. Will probably shop around next time, but if the prices are competitive, Ill come back here.

I highly recommend Jinu Alteration. She has been my go to for many years now. Quality work, from the detailed more difficult jobs to the quick and easy jobs. She can do it all, and she is so kind. Wish I could do it myself, but I cant..so I love supporting her business. Also quick turn around time can be accommodated when needed.

Didnt have it ready when I was told it would be.When I picked it up the zipper is so tight I cant hardly zip it up and down.I also thought it was a little pricey.

We have had this lady do work for us in the past and she has always did good work and been on her estimate within a couple dollars, so last week we dropped some clothes off the have a couple things done and came to pick them up today and she gives me a 285$ bill for a zipper and altering a couple other peices, I was in shock when asked what each item cost she started rattling off and stated I gave you a package price but a few moths back had more clothes done and it was only 130$, make sure you have a good understanding with her because if she gets the opportunity she will get what ever she wants price wise and when I came on to read these reviews I’m not the only one that this is happened to. I’m going to have to find a new alteration person as I cannot trust this place anymore

Great service, quick turnaround, alters many different things including sewing patches on my leather motorcycle vest. A little more expensive than I had anticipated, however, quality work & worth the price.

I dropped my belle dress off yesterday for it to be tailored, I needed it friday for a wedding and upcoming conventions. She took it in without hesitation on such a short notice. We had a very good conversation and she was so kind. Once I pick up my dress Ill be writing another review.

I had a bridesmaid dress and mother of the bride dress altered here. Let’s start off with part of this is my fault. I did not ask how much it would be before I left the store. But went in today to pick up the dresses and the total was $280!! The bridesmaid dress was only a HEM!! Now, it did have 3 layers but total only took off about 1.5 inches. And mine was a hem and taken in at the shoulders. When I asked for an itemized list she said she doesn’t do that. So she couldn’t tell me what she charged for each hem. Finally got her to say that the alterations on the bridesmaid dress was $110 plus $25 for pressing the dress. And mine was $120 plus $25 for pressing. Comparatively, other bridesmaids had theirs done elsewhere and were not even close to this cost. I know there are different prices for things, but I personally think $110 for a hem is outrageous. After complaining, I did finally get her to refund the $50 for pressing since I had not asked for this. Honestly, I was extremely disappointed. Also, I had used her before for prom dresses and always thought prices were reasonable. I will not be going back and would definitely recommend getting a cost up front!!

I had my sports uniform altered to fit over my equipment and you can barely even tell that’s not how it was made, it looks so perfect! definitely a new go-to!

Long story short We Had to call the cops on her. She went off on us. She Took the altered clothes out my sisters car. She held hostage my sis money and my clothes then she closed the shop. Cops had to come to get her to open up and give me my clothes. What sucks more? not all the clothes had been worked on.Going to go ahead and call her a liar and a cheat.Plainfield police will have a file on the occurrance feel free to investigate before going to Jinu Alteration.Lets summarize...1. She didnt give a cost till the day I needed to pickup my clothes. Which turned into major overpriced.2. She didnt have my items ready when she was suppose to.3. Was rude and went off....I mean off on us.4. We had to call the cops.

My daughters prom dress was covered in sequins. She was able to alter it and make it fit my daughter beautifully. I would recommend her to alter anyting.

I really thought this nice lady was going to be the one to alter my daughters wedding dress. I gave her a top of mine to do before committing to the wedding dress. The top did need a lot of aktering, however I didn’t really pay much for it but was charged $65. I felt it was ridiculous and very high for altering. I paid it, however once I got it home to wear to an occasion, I found my sleeves were not functional to use. Once I confronted her about it, she said I was wrong and that I didn’t know how to wear my sleeves. This angered me, cause now I have a top that is difficult to wear and I paid a ridiculous amount for it. I left her shop while she was attempting to find a top to show me “how to wear my sleeves”. I know how to wear my sleeves....I have plenty like this one. Just not sure I will be back for my daughters wedding gown alterations. I would like to have a partial refund and my top fixed the correct way...and we know that wil never happen. Sure glad I didn’t take wedding gown there yet.

Jinu always does a fabulous job on all my alterations; shes repaired my pants, hemming, draperies, repaired my comforter, and just recently resized a gown for an upcoming holiday party. I would not go anywhere else.

Jinus Alterations was amazing. She was very easy to work with to find the perfect fit. I have recently lost several pounds, and she was able to alter my suit pants from a 38 to a 34. I would say pass on this place. I took in three pair of jeans to have the hem moved up. When I went in a week later to pick them up as scheduled, she hadn’t even started on them. I think I got a rushed job because each pair of jeans has something wrong with them.The hems on two jeans are misaligned and one is on backwards.
