Carlos at Platinum Fades took care of us after hours. Me and my friends were here from out of town and we didnt walk in to start our hair until almost 8:30 and he did it haircuts with a great attitude I had a great experience. Would recommend Carlos if you are looking to get hooked up

This place has a great staff. Their prices are fair and Ive gotten my line up by almost everyone there. Never left dissatisfied. Id include some before after photos but you all dont need to see my mug:) check em out.

I called to set an appointment for a low fade and a guy told me to come in and ask for Alex. When I got there the guy was no where to be found. A different barber told me they can’t get ahold of him and maybe he forgot or something. I waited 15 mins after my appointment time and he still never showed up. Maybe because I’m a female, he thought it was waste of his time. I’ve been getting fades for years and wanted to try someplace new and I regret even going there. What a waste of time and super unprofessional. I seriously wish someone else had answered the phone who actually cared about their job.

I have been giving this place so many chances. This was the last one. Cuts are terrible and waits are unreal. Just sat here for 2 hours after being first on the wait list. No one addressed us, and after watching 2 others walk out I was done. Tried to keep local barber shop alive after covid craziness, that was a mistake. Taking my money else where, and you should as well.

Great service here. All about the customer. Relaxed vibes. HUGE barber shop as the expanded their shop taking over the other building next to them ( looks amazing). TVs and music played in the background to keep you entertained as well. I get so many compliments on my haircuts from this place. Always leaving the shop satisfied and feeling fresh. 10/10 stars if i could.

Unprofessional, had an appointment and the guy didnt even show up and nobody else would cut my sons hair. It was his first haircut, total disappointment. Had to take him to Ace of Fades in crest hill. I shouldve went there to begin with!

Got haircut from who seemed to be someone new and did not do a good job then they charged 30 dollars for a haircut which is really pricey

Very helpful! I went with my son for his first time at a barber (vs. Great Clips or comparable) and I told them I didnt know what I wanted specifically. Took time to show us pictures and checked with me throughout the process to make sure I was okay with the cut. Very satisfied!

Went in today and They F&$#$@ my fade up. Very poor blending. Not going to put anyone on blast just make sure whoever cuts you knows what a good blend on a skin fade looks like.I still gave dude the Money (even though I could have drilled a hole in his chest and ✌🏽) because kids have to eat lol, People mess up I aint tripping you live and you learn. He will get better Plus all the guys seem like decent people.DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU. You might get fooled.#Beware

This is by far the best barbershop in the Plainfield area! They always do an amazing job at fades and lining up my beard. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area searching for a new barbershop. Always on point!

You want to get a great haircut. Come here to this location. But keep in mind they close at random. Sometimes two hours early. Which is inconvenient. They inconsistently take debit cards. So bring cash to be safe.The service area of the shop needs to be improved. Such as the greeting when you arrive. I understand they are all busy, but they should at least follow their sign in sheet and call the next person on the list. It’s inconsistent with those employed there. People walk in after me (with out an appointment) and they get taken first to get their hair cut. And if you do decide to “reserve” for a haircut appointment, they charge you more for holding that appointment. As well as not honoring the appointment. They can be busy with someone else and they make you wait.These are some of the complaints I have. They definitely have skill here, I’m just writing this so they can see it and improve, and others know what to expect as of now of the writing of this review.

Then he told me “we have been here since 7:00 A.M “. Like how is that my fault I just wanted a hair cut, very unprofessional staff!!!!!!

Gives great Haircuts always up to date with the Styles, but it deserves Three Stars since it closes 1hr 30mins before the set time.

Called in advance. They said I needed no appointment, just come in. Traffic slowed me down but I made it there an hour before closing. They closed at 7pm. Instead of any one of the 5 barbers there taking my 10 year old son...1 of them in particular, a lady barber said she was done for the day and she nor anyone there could help me... (I had my 2 year old niece on my hip so it was already a strenuous day), they told me to book an appointment or come back tomorrow morning (on a school day mind you). Needless to say, I WONT BE COMING BACK 🤦🏾 How hard would it have been to cut my sons hair...we were 1st time visitors and you turned us away.God forbid you had to stay 30 minutes past closing or your shift because I was misinformed of the availability and drove the distance for naught 😒

Horrible customer service. Took my two boys for a haircut no appt but 2 people in front of us not a big deal to wait a little. 1 hr in a half later no haircut yet. I noticed they cut a client hair then go on a extended break and not just one of the barber but about 4 at a time. A waste of my time. Highly disappointed!!!

Gio, Tony plus all the other cats at this barbershop shop in Plainfield work hard and are great at what they do. Everytime I leave this place I feel so fresh and so clean. Their so good at what they do that they do get pretty busy. So Id suggest calling ahead of time and making an appointment. Good lookin out!
