We had them out twice for when we had a leak coming from our attic. We used them because they were sent by our home warranty company. Never again will we use them. If our home warranty tries to send them I will request a new company. They couldn’t even figure out what the issue was they said first that if it was our condensation pipe they would have to reroute it which would be a large job. They also said it was a plumbing issue which was completely false because the only plumbing that was in the area was the drain pipe for the tube to leak into. We ended up on our own figuring out the drain tube had come out due to the company that cleaned our vents. Also out condensate pipe had insulation damaged. However I got a second opinion by an actual reputable company and another from a pipe fitter. Both told me to go to Menards and get some insulation tape to wrap it myself for the savings! I did this and I fixed the issue for $30 myself. Tony the manager at eagle air basically stated said call them back if it leaks again and they will be out again. They were out twice and both times didn’t know what they were doing. Avoid this company. I am glad I got a second opinion because I was able to fix it the same day so insurance to could pay to fix the leak damage.
Eagle Air was assigned by American Home Shield warranty and the experience with them from start to finish was top notch. They came out promptly and determined what the issue was (evaporator coil / leak). They needed additional approval from AHS, but once that happened, they promptly scheduled another visit and the team showed up on time, went right to work, and problem was resolved. Glad I was able to get things taken care of before the weather warmed up. The whole team was great to deal with -- dispatchers, technicians, etc...
Our home was covered by American home shield (AHS). When our 21 year old ac suddenly went out I was skeptical about the process and the reviews of eagle air didn’t seem encouraging. So I went out and got quotes to replace the entire ac and furnace system. After 5 eye-gouging quotes, I decided to pay the $100 fee to use AHS/eagle air.Brandon from eagle air showed up. He immediately knew what was wrong and fixed it in 15 minutes - it was a blown capacitor on the condenser. After fixing the issue he went on to check the health of the other systems. Very professional and experienced. I have no idea what the other reviews are about…maybe the negative reviews are for AHS process instead.
This was the company my home warranty company (American Home Shield) assigned for my furnace (failure to launch) problem on this very cold February Friday in Westmont IL.I was positively impressed by Eagle Airs responsiveness, and Brandons efficient and correct service. My experience:(1) My initial anxious call was received by an answering service, not an answering machine. Very Good.(2) The call-back was prompt, and positive, in scheduling a service visit for just hours ahead. Excellent.(3) Best of all was the service provided by Brandon who assessed the system and correctly analyzed the failure in the launch system. A capacitor was replaced, the system tested, and the furnace operation is now normal. Rejoice.I sure do appreciate this experience. 2/22/2021
I would strongly discourage the use of this company. Extremely dishonest and argumentative. We called rhem for an annual service/cleaning. They sent a tech who claimed that the Run Capacitor was malfunctioning and recommended that we have our waranty company put in a claim for the repair, since it is a $300 part. We said we would. He also claimed to have cleaned the unit thoroughly. We then called our Waranty Company. They sent out a different company that we had called out previously. This tech was straight forward and showed us everything before he even thought of doing anything. He advised us that the Run Capacitor was NOT malfunctioning and that the unit had NOT BEEN CLEANED. we were shocked at how filthy it was. The previous tech did absolutely nothing and charged us for it.Then when I called to speak to the manager(Tony).. he was very hostile and argumentative. He refused to offer any attempt to rectify the situation.
This company came out to fix our 20-year-old HVAC system 4 times in the span of a few weeks. Each time, it broke down within the next couple of days. We spoke with our home warranty company who said that is very odd and they need to be held accountable to do their jobs.On the final time they came back, I requested to speak with the head person, Tony, and asked him at what point do we replace the HVAC system? How many bandaids do we put on it?Tony proceeded to set me straight, asked me what do you know about the service industry?, what education do you have?, and said Im disrespecting his company. I said that I expect them to do their jobs and fix something – if its not fixable after 4 times or so, then it clearly needs to be replaced or theyre not doing their jobs. After exchanging expletives he then hung up on me.I feel terrible for his employees that Tony is creating such a toxic environment for everyone around him. Absolutely do not trust Eagle Air.
I would strongly discourage the use of this company. Extremely dishonest and argumentative.
Anthony was excellent. He showed me exactly what the issue was and what was needed to resolve the issue. Very friendly. Eagle Air also kept me informed on when they were arriving. No issues with Eagle Air.
Eagle Air is by far the most unprofessional contractor I have come across. After several attempts, Tony, never returned my calls. They all were working like a headless chicken without having a clue about the problem they are trying to fix at my home. They quoted me the job will take upto 9 hrs for replacing the Furnace whereas the contractor I got the work done did it in about 2 hours with 100% accuracy and efficacy. will NEVER recommend Eagle Air to anyone.
I would strongly recommend using a different company. My experience with Eagle Air is way less than satisfactory. This company has rude technicians and owners. In my case, they failed to correctly address a repair a few months back and potentially hundreds of dollars of coolant leaked out of my AC. When I confronted the on-site technician, he lied and said the last time they came out, it was just a check up call and claimed that I declined to get a leak repaired. This was a blatant lie. Why would I decline service when my call was covered by a home warranty? When we challenged them on this, the company refused to stand behind their work, blaming us, making more false claims, and abdicating any and all responsibility for the error. If you use Eagle Air, prepare for shoddy workmanship, expect to be called a liar, when you try to discuss the matter expect them to talk over you, and then expect to be hung up on you multiple times. Then, to make matters worse, they refused to issue a refund in connection with a warranty that they sold me back in May 2020, saying that I was lying about paying for it. I not only have the invoice, but also have the cancelled check for the payment.
Horrible experience. Came out to our home 3-4 times as our upstairs ac unit was not cooling, and each time they did one thing quickly and said the problem was fixed and left. I dont understand why they just dont take the time to do the job properly in one go. Waste of our time and their time. This most recent time, the technicians called the boss Tony to double check something and I overheard Tony talking about our family in a vulgar, disrespectful, and unprofessional manner. I am one to support local businesses, but I would strongly avoid this place.
Tony from Eagle Air is great. He listened to our concerns and investigated the equipment with impressive diligence. He was very thorough with his explanations of the problems and solution options. We have owned 7 homes throughout the years. Our experience with Tony at Eagle Air has been the best so far.
Set up through my home warranty, they installed a new ac unit and fixed my furnace. Everything is working great!
Eagle Air was absolutely great. Not only did they come out and repair my furnace the same day, but Angie the girl in their office kept calling us to update the technicians arrival from previous jobs. When he arrived he was able to get the furnace working temporarily while let went to get a new part and then came back and replaced it the same day. All of this on the coldest day ever.THANK YOU EAGLE AIR !!!!!Denise Spires
Eagle Air is an awesome service group. I have a home warranty and Eagle Air was assigned to my need for repair. They responded quickly to the request made by the home warranty company. Their customer service staff was friendly and attentive. I was told I would receive a call 30 minutes prior to the service persons arrival and this happened. Their service tech Anthony was extremely polite and efficient. He identified the source of the malfunction of my furnace and explained the steps that would have to be taken to gain approval from the home warranty company and complete the repair. The following day I spoke with Tony who confirmed the repair was approved, the part was on order and repair would be made on Saturday. Again, 30 minutes prior to Anthonys arrival I received a call saying he was on his way. Anthony completed the repair and in simple terms explained the malfunction. He also gave me advice on proper filters, how to inspect the filter and the frequency of changing the filter. Anthony even wrote on the furnace how to properly place a filter in and what size the filter should be. Eagle Air Inc of Plainfield Illinois is a company I would highly recommend.
Do not use this company! My moms home warranty company referred this company to come in and do work. They are ruining her equipment and causing future problems on purpose! And I am not assuming this, my husband RUNS and HVAC company in the area and called to speak with the owner. He TOLD my husband his plans to mess with her furnace and when my husband told the owner what he does for a living and was asking questions about WHY he would do something like he described all he said was for my husbands company to go in and do it then. It doesnt matter that the home warranty is for Eagle Air. Also, there is a very big possibility that the heat exchanger is cracked and causing carbon monoxide to leak into her home and the owner said he refuses to check it. DO NOT use them!! Now we are back to square one and fighting with the home warranty people for a new company that isnt going to endanger others.
My furnace was down due to a faulty blower motor. I called ahs and they assigned Eagle Air Inc. They were quick to schedule and kept me very informed. Tech Anthony came out, diag the problem, and within an hour he was done and my furnace is blowing strong with no noises. Great job and thank you for what you do!
Update 2 days after service...I would like to retract any positive thing I said about them.I now have an issue with flickering lights and power surges after the technicians left my home.2 days later I am trying to work with Eagle Air to send techs back out to my home to check furnace for loose connections or something that can be contributing to this issue that was non existent until the techs from Eagle Air serviced my furnace. They are being totally uncooperative and refuse to help. Said I need to call out an electrician.I now have to spend additional money to fix an issue they caused.HORRIBLE company. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND to anyone!!!!They are only getting one star so I can post this review !Awesome. Thank you! The techs, Anthony & Ed, were in and out in an hour. They were knowledgeable, professional and polite. Found the problem, fixed it, and didnt try to scam or sell me a bunch of unneeded extra parts or services.Would and will definitely recommend Eagle Air Inc. to everyone!
Stay away from this trash company. The problem with my cooling system was that it would not go below 80 degress in my house and would work very hard just to get to 80. The first time the technician came out he said it was my capacitor. I had done some research before having the tech come out and knew that the main function of the capacitor is to start and keep the AC unit running. I had zero problems with my unit starting and staying on which is why I have no idea why he swapped out the part but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I asked him if my freon level was low and told me the freon was perfect. Swapping the capacitor did not improve anything so he came out a second time. This time he told me that my freon was low by at least one pound. I asked him why he told me that my freon level was perfect the first time he came and he couldnt answer me. He charged me $100 for the pound of freon and helped my AC get down to 78 degrees for about a day. After that my AC was at the same status as before. The tech came out a 3rd time and said that there was a design flaw because I only had 5 intakes for the 11 vents. I asked him why he did not do a full system test to tell me this the first time he came and again he just had a stupid look on his face that could not answer me. I strongly believe that it is not a design flaw because the house is only 30 years old and the prior year my cooling system worked perfectly. I am currently in the process of getting my $100 refund and working with my home warranty to send a different company. It is very obvious that this company deserves the horrible rating that it has. What this company is doing is criminal and should not be in business.
The worst service ever, no integrity, not honest, try to sell you services for extra money, very rude. They came to my house after a service request to my warranty company. Instead of fixing the issue as supposed to, they did a temporary fix and told my tenant that it will break down again soon, and they turned the tenant against me. I called them to ask why they did not fix the unit for permanent fix if they diagnosed the issue, or if the unit is in extremely poor condition as they wrote on the invoice for the tenant, they would request a replacement though. They were very rude and disrespectful on the phone. I called a recall for the service per the tenant request, instead of being professional and return back a detailed report to the warranty company as we have requested, they said its been fixed for good and working and nothing wrong with the unit just needed cleaning. We have the statement on their invoice saying that unit is in extremely poor condition and will break down again. But they acted with no integrity, they just turned my tenant against me and lied to the warranty company when we requested the opinion they put on their invoice. And if they will respond to this rating saying after we talked to the owner, you should know first hand they are lying because I am not gonna answer their phone call anyway.
My saga began on Jan 31, 2018 when I found out my furnace had to be shut off due to a bad heat exchanger and exposure to carbon monoxide. I logged into American Home Shield (AHS), where I’ve been a customer for 5 years, and requested service. AHS assigned Eagle Air Heating INC in Plainfield, IL to make the diagnosis/repair. When I hadn’t heard from Eagle and the high temp to only be about 32 degrees and lows in single digit, I called Eagle to see what the plan was. I was told that the earliest that they could come out was 2pm on February 1. I explained my furnace was off after my furnace company shut it off due to carbon monoxide exposure and was concerned about my water pipes freezing overnight. Eagle had no sense of urgency or concern, so I told them that wouldn’t work and called AHS who had no sense of urgency either.Eagle diagnosed the problem on Feb 1 and confirmed that the heat exchanger had malfunctioned. The owner of Eagle told me that he was going to recommend replacement of the unit due to age, etc…Install date was finally set for Feb 20… you are probably asking yourself as was I, why did it take 19 days from diagnosis until install. First off Feb 1st was a Thursday. AHS tells me it wasn’t until Monday Feb. 5 that they were finally notified by Eagle of the issue and recommendation. Here is the next part of this saga. Unit finally ships and when it gets to the warehouse for Eagle to pick up, they tell me the wrong size unit was sent! Talk about a cluster….! Ok, so new unit is shipped and finally arrives on Saturday Feb 17. Guess what?? Eagle says the earliest they can install is Tuesday 2/20 because Monday is President’s Day! By the way, I am giving AHS updates all through this ordeal of my displeasure. I escalated my concern to a manager several times and always got the standard line… one will contact you within 24-48 business hours… by the way, that is their standard follow up line to everything!!!Finally Tuesday Feb 20 gets here for the install. Eagle shows up around 9:30 am and at approximately 4:30pm they decide it was time to turn the unit on for the first time to get me some heat. Obviously, after being without heat for this amount of time and in these cold temperatures, I am down there to witness this new unit finally generate some heat… when the technician flipped the switch I heard a popping sound and a flash, but the unit turned on and appeared to start heating.Well to make this long story a little shorter, they wired it incorrectly which burned up my humidistat and a piece was not installed initially. Eagle says that the missing piece wasn’t sent with the unit, but you can probably guess what I thought at this point. Finally after Eagle coming out on 2/22, 2/23, and again on 2/26 it appears they finally have everything working like it should. Although, I will tell you I still have some concerns with where else this voltage was sent when they wired it incorrectly. After all of this absolute fiasco, the only thing that was offered to help remediate this horrible ordeal was AHS gave me $125 toward helping me pay for the space heaters that I had to go out and buy. Eagle did put a new thermostat in our family room but I think that was due to their concern of what else they might have ruined when they wired it incorrectly and on 2/26 had no problem collecting the full $1125 from me for the things that had to be changed to match the new furnace (little detail for everyone to know… not everything is covered!).Since my contract was with AHS, I contacted them to see if they were going to step up in any way. All I was offered was the $100 fee for getting Eagle to come out in the first place. I even asked them to see if they could have a manufacturer’s representative come out to check the unit to make sure the unit was ok, and you know what they said… they could ask Eagle to come back out to check it!!! Therefore, I have cancelled my contract with AHS immediately and would never use or recommend Eagle Air Inc out of Plainfield, IL.
IncompetentUnreliableUnprofessionalDidnt do anything with the work order for 10 days and came back with ways to scam money out of my wallet.Crooks with a licence. Too many incidents on here, shouldve checked before letting them in my house.AVOID!!!!
