Just wanted to give Nolan at Mad Macs a huge shout out to thank him for his help and professionalism when I came in last week. He got my problem diagnosed in a matter of minutes and was so great to work with. Thanks, Nolan! Five stars and three cheers to you and Mad Macs.
Took my 9 year macbook pro for updating-- $150--They did not warn me it would slow it down-I have wasted countless hours watching the rainbow wheel--Then they offer to sell me increased RAM-Also updating made it so I couldnt load photos direct from my photo library but instead had to click and drag--They couldnt figure out why that happened with updating. My daughter solved that problem in less than 5 minutes Maybe they should hire my daughter as a consultant-Obviously other people have had good experiences. The owner did just reach out to me after reading my critical review so they get another star for customer service
Went in for a phone/watch problem. I didn’t realize they do business by appointment but they were able to see me, fix my problem, and teach me some stuff for a very small fee. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place for all your apple product needs!
The best! Fast and efficient and trust worthy. I’ll never take my laptop anywhere else.
Excellent service. The place to go for service for your macs in this area
Wonderful team ! Very informative all around nice guys that work there ! They know their stuff and try to save u money if they can !! A++
Only $17 and 20min to fix a broken iPhone charging port (turned out to simply be dirty connectors). Good customer service. Located conveniently next to BigLots. Accessories available for in store purchase.
When you walk into the store, you see a wall of Apple Service Awards since 2011 (I believe). They called me once they found out the issue with my computer and I was able to pick it up THAT DAY. They are fast and easy to work with. They also tell you all of your options with prices up front. Also, they have Apple accessories. I picked up a new charger while I was there! Overall, Mad Macs should be your go to store for any Apple servicing or purchases in the Berkshires. Highly recommended.
As an firm user of all things not apple. Scott has been fantastic to work with! I highly recommend Mad Macs!!
Left my badly smashed iPhone with them and got it back in only one day. Can’t say enough good things about the attitude and abilities of their staff - dedicated, helpful and professional. Can’t ask for more.
Theyre the best!I thought there was a serious issue with my IPad. Ten minutes after I lefy the store, t recd a call. It was just a minor settings issue. They charged me $10. Very honest and professional.
Super helpful anecdotal joy
Ive referred business to Mad Macs many times over the years and have always been impressed with their responsiveness and professionalism. Ive also been a customer and have purchased IPads and accessories from their store which is always staffed by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Mad Macs is also very involved in the community. They make the Berkshires better by all they do. Highly recommended!
Extremely helpful, friendly, communicative, and knowledgable! My go to when I need something fixed.
I broke my phone and was unable to get it to connect and backup to my computers! Had 2 years worth of photos that I didn’t have backed up😯 so many pictures and memories! Within a day they were able to get my photos off of the phone and onto a flash drive for me!!!So grateful for their knowledge and expertise!!
Fast service, fixed a problem caused by another store, didnt charge me.
Very helpful. Solved a minor problem quickly and without charge. I would definitely go back.
I have gone here twice for hardware problems while under my applecare warranty and have been very pleased with their service. they seem to go out of their way to get you the right stuff and make sure something is done right or take preventative measures. very glad to have them in town!
My Macbook Air had bad problems (shutting off when unplugged, turning on but giving me weird screens, eventually not turning on at all), so I took it in for a repair on a weekend. The guys diagnosed the problem as something expensive, which I agreed to. They called me back a little while later to let me know that, upon further inspection, the problem was something else and the repair would cost much less than the original estimate. I appreciate the honesty and the effective, very reasonably priced cost for parts and labor. I dont miss having an Apple store in the area, and I plan to buy my next computer here out of gratitude.
As a small business owner I always try to do business with local companies as much as possible. My first experience with Mad Macs was with the purchase of an Apple Mac Book Air a little over two years ago. My son accompanied me as he has experience with Apple products and also to give some guidance as this was a gift for my wife. The staff was very helpful and took the time to inquire about her primary needs and use. We selected a 13 notebook along with a protective cover and Apple Care product. She loves using the notebook and has used it everyday without one issue. My second experience was with the purchase of a Desktop computer about a year ago. We have primarily used windows based desktops and this was our first time looking into an Apple Desktop. We have a special needs son who has relied on a computer throughout his life and since he is very familiar with his Apple IPad this seemed like it might be a logical choice. Again, the staff was very friendly and helpful inquiring about our primary use. After sometime going over the different options and models we selected a 27 5k Desktop with the Retina display and 1TB Hard drive. We also added the Apple 2TB Time Capsule and 3 year Apple Care Warranty. As a bonus we received the Super Drive at no additional cost. We additionally took advantage of the zero percent finance option. This setup had turned out to be absolutely correct for our needs and again we have experienced flawless performance. The bonus thus far is not one single virus to be concerned about along with a very clean and simple setup without all the wires. With the time Capsule all of the Apple products back up automatically which is a very big convenience for us. The bonus in our family is that our Special needs Son easily transitioned to the new Desktop. If there was any learning curve, it was with myself personally as this is my first experience with an Apple Computer. I still use my windows laptop for my business needs, but use the Apple for personal use and do enjoy the experience with each continued use. I can well envision the transition to Apple in time for myself as well.So overall, anyone who is in the market for a computer I can highly recommend Mad Macs for your needs and as our family needs further Apple based products we will look to them as well in the future.
My sons headphone jack got stuck in his tablet they were quick and affordable.
They do a good job, and are friendly people. I do find you have to sorta be on them about communication or your computer might be fixed and you dont even know it!
I accidentally destroyed my MacBook and didnt want to go to the Apple store in the Albany mall to repair. Fortunately, Mad Macs is an official Mac repair store. The staff was knowledgable and friendly. My Mac was repaired and back to me in a fraction of the time that I expected it. The quoted repair cost was exactly what I paid - no hidden fees or charges.
Best service stop for anything apple or Mac
It is assumed that if you proceed to acquire expert services that such service provider would tell you what the problem with your machine is and how it will be fixed as well as cost and any other side effects if you will. Additionally, one would assume that an ordinary person is not as savvy as the technicians at this dealer, therefore it is absolutely crucial that the technicians explain all possible side effects to the machine. There is not one medical commercial on television that does not speak to side effects. Accordingly, MAD MACs technicians should do as well. Terrible mistake for not telling me of the possible lost product and for simply saying oops im sorry, it must have slipped my mind. Terrible act of professionalism. Fundamental mistake and lack of professionalism on not owning up to the mistake and making it right. Its not a simple oops. Its an Im sorry for the mistake and make it right. Learn how to be professional. Mad Mac JUST TERRIBLE
The owner is open to hearing feedback, as when I was given an outrageous price for MacbookPro service. Upon clarification (my being upset on this site) he re-examined the price quote, which apparently was in error. New price quote is in line with the AppleStore. Bottom Line: Willing to work with you and closely meets the price point of the Apple Store, however, you may need to clarify pricing, as needed.
Not much an Apple fan. But this store is neatly presented with professional, friendly, and helpful staff one day I stopped in for a friend to replace his lightening connector. Whats more is they offered to try and help another friend on an issue with his Android. Refreshing to see an Apple venue that doesnt stick their nose up in the air just because somebody doesnt prefer Apple for everything. Well I would never buy an iPod iPhone or iPad, a MacBook Pro has been looking like the practical choice for me for a laptop. This will be the first place I will stop when its time to buy.
I had my laptop there a few weeks ago because it wouldnt boot up from the grey screen and was charged $150.00 to reinstall high sierra.I called the apple store in albany today to get an estimate to replace the battery (which was $25 cheaper) and in talking with the tech while checking my laptop over the phone, he told me they could have restored it for free over the phone!!!!!!
The absolute best in computer help
I love the Williamstown store. They are amazing.
I brought my phone in for repair. The employees looked at my phone for less than five minutes and then told me that my phone could not be fixed and I had to buy a new phone. I’m so glad I disregarded their advice because I brought my phone else where and they fixed it within a few hours. I will not be visiting Mad Macs again.
I have gone to this store a couple of times in the past year + and have seen it grow from mainly service your mac here to full on certified Apple sales store. The store itself is small, but the space has been utilized very well. It doesnt feel cramped or crowded but there is a lot of stuff in the small space. Very well done. They have a great selection of all your Apple/Mac needs.... Every time I have stepped foot in the store, I have been greeted upon entry and offered assistance throughout my experience in there. I bought a magic mouse recently and intend on going back for a mac mini and wireless keyboard to complete my setup. I would recommend going here over any of the other choices (big box stores - wal mart, best buy, etc) because of the stellar service and the fact that its locally owned. They have earned my business (not like thats tough, but ill avoid your biz ike the plague if you dont say hi to me when I walk in the store) and I will continue to recommend the store to everyone I know. Enjoy!
I will go back for any problems I have with any electronics. The staff was great and concerned about your problems, and fast acting.
Honest, local people. great staff!
This store is straight trash if u want to get a question answered u must travel to the store because NOONE i mean NOONE will answer the phone. EVER. trash...
They charged me their base fee to diagnose my computer only to misdiagnose it. I took it elsewhere to have it fixed.
Fast service easy to deal with
Very helpful staff.
Best of the Best!
