We’d just moved and set up a rental to use for after we returned the U-Haul truck. My mom - a very capable driver - pulled into the parking lot to let me hop out and get the rental. Before we had the chance, an angry man came out yelling at us for pulling into the parking lot in a U-Haul (we didn’t come close to the cars). We tried to explain the situation, but he would talk over us in a condescending tone telling us to just leave. We cancelled the reservation and don’t intend to work with them again.
Worst rental car experience that I have ever had. The employees of this location are shady people that have no concern to share empathy with others. A loud rambunctious blonde haired woman asked me for a credit card and ID. She hands my cards to his rude, dirty, sweaty, male worker with black glasses that tell me how the Uber program works with Avis and how I would have to run a credit check. I agreed that I understood how the program worked. He then illegally attempted to charge my card for the full price of the rental, a card in which did not have the needed funds to process the full rental. After declining, I was upset that he attempted to charge me before informing me. I instructed him that I need to move money into the card “account” before he could process this whole transaction. He then told me that he could not run my credit card for 24hrs, so, “come back tomorrow”. Cowards work here, stay away at all cost.After being shewed out the door I was approached my a man and woman that had overheard my interaction with Avis employee. They could tell clearly that his employee cannot work a gas pump let alone manage a rental store, the credit/debit card rules are written crooked in sharpie on dirty paper. This place just reeks cringe. Anyways, the couple asked if they could help me out given how I was treated, I thanked them but turned their offers down. They left.This dirty, sweaty, toll of an Avis employee stands in front of me and attempts to belittle me for speaking to “his” other customers and making my problem his fault. “You didn’t have enough money to cover your rent, how’s that my fault?” At this point, I could have walked outside with this fella and taught him a lesson. Regardless, avoid this Avis and Budget at all cost. Dirty employees. Dirty story. Dirty company.

We picked up our car from Avis Hilton in Lake Buenavista in Orlando and the lady that helped us there was really nice and very helpful. We returned the car in Miami and didnt have any issue. Well definitely use avis again in our next trip.

When I arrived to pick up my One-Way rental to Chicago there was nobody at the desk. So I tried calling the number at the desk and nobody picked up. I tried again and somebody did finally pick up. The guy said that he would be back in 5 minutes. I later found out that he was outside taking a smoke break. Very unprofessional in my eyes. The pick up only took a few minutes because he was very short. He didnt even tell me what car I was getting. The only thing he told me was what spot it was in. When I got out to the SUV it was a SUV model that was very basic and not to my liking and on top of that the Santa Fe Sport was filthy. Inside it had ashes all over and crumbs everywhere. Outside was even worse because it had bugs all over the windshield and overall was very dirty. I was not going to drive 2,300 miles in this car. So I decided to head to MCO and exchange the car. Which pissed me off because I had to take 2 hours out of my trip to go exchange it at the airport. Overall this is the worst AVIS location I have ever rented from. I do not recommend this location to anyone..5 stars
Hassle free and great price
I just called and someone named Angelo picked up. He abruptly hung up on me. I called back another 10 times after. No answer. When he finally picked up, he had the worst attitude and tone. I told him how many times I’ve called, that I was hung up on and that I was interested in getting renting a vehicle and he said “well that’s why we have customer service”. I felt truly disrespected and that was the WORST experience I’ve had with a car rental company. I would not recommend because they will truly treat you like scum and they make your business fee unwanted.
I was given a rental that needed service: bald tires, worn windshield wipers, no windshield wiper fluids, alignment was off. In addition, was told they had to speak to the manager to see if I get a refund for an already paid week. Not good business. I will spend my money somewhere else. Safety is paramount and bald tires in snow is dangerous!
Recieved car it was dirty inside & out. Clearly not washed, vacuumed or sanitized. Found bra in trunk, bluetooth speaker in center console. Car was not on premises when we arrived.
The car i was renting for Uber broke down and was rowed on March 13th I called Angelo on Monday to inform him and to get a refund for 11 days they played games saying the car isnt at the airport so I cant get a refund until the car is located. Today is March 31 and still no refund but they located the car last week.
Agent was very helpful and accommodating. Car was new, clean and works well.

Confirmed reservation, but did not have any cars available when I got there. Completely unacceptable.EDIT:I had spoken to corporate and they said they were sorry, but no cars were available in the city or at the airport. Apparently this was happening to other customers as well. I wasted half of my day and the time of 2 other people who were going to help me. I emailed corporate today, we will see what they say.
Everyone I interacted with here was friendly and helpful. My car was nice and well maintained. The location was easy to find and access for an off airport rental location. The process of picking up the car and dropping it off is not as easy as a rental location at an airport but it was head and shoulders above the experiences I’ve had at other off airport locations in other cities.

I placed a reservation for a car and paid in advance. They didnt have any cars there when I went to pick up the car. I was forced to change my reservation pickup location to the airport and then customer service tried to charge me an additional 50 dollars for this reservation modification. Thankfully I called corporate customer service to complain. They waived the additional charges and honored my original price. All in all I felt like I was in that Seinfeld episode where Jerry tries to rent a car.
I went to pick up my Ultimate Test Drive as scheduled with the intention of buying the car if my garage said it was okay. Did not see the car in the lot and was told at the desk the car was not there. Only told there was an issue. What issue? Was it wrecked or had some serious mechanical problem? Called the number on the confirmation. Was told they think the car had not be returned yet. There are no similar Avis cars in this area. I think Avis should bring a similar car from another location. This inconvenienced me, my driver, and my garage which was going to inspect the car.
This place is a scam. Will try to take your money do not use this business. All their rules are written on a sheet of paper with marker so you don’t know what the rules are until you go to pick up the rental, nothing like the website. They also try to charge you double the rental price as well once you get there.

It is a difficult time but lack of communication on changes that waste time of customers should be addressed. Rented a car and showed up and was told I would need to wait an hour after the time I was given. I suggested calling customers in this situation in future. Then at drop off the Avis desk was closed two hours early. Again communication would have been helpful. Even an email.
I rented a car 3 weeks ago for the first time (and the last time) with this company. I paid everything online. When I went there to take the car I asked more than one time if everything was included and they confirmed me that. I returned the car in perfect conditions as always, with the tank full (and the receipt of the gas station, as they asked me). After few days I found 39.57 dollars charged on my credit card, without any motivation. They charged me also the tolls separately, as expected. I called immediately Avis to ask about these 39.57 dollars. A girl said to me that was an error and in 24/48 hours the manager would have canceled this amount. Nothing happened. I called again few days ago. Same answer. Same conclusion. I called 4 time and then I decided to come back personally to the rental. Once there they asked me the contract, the receipt of the fuel and my phone number. Same answer, but I was a little bit more optimistic. Nothing happened. I called again this morning and I spoke with a rude man that tried to put me in hold for a long time, continuously giving me the same answer as always.Its a big company, I thought it was a serious and professional company. Its not true. Ill be back again to the rental to ask again the motivation of this amount.

I rented a Ford Explorer from here last week, would rent again. Angelo was polite and provided excellent service. I wanted to drop the rental off earlier than expected, and Angelo had no qualms about me parking the car overnight and dropping the paperwork/key off in their drop-off slot. If you want a rental car at reasonable rates, Id recommend this place.
I have rented almost 20 times from this Avis/Budget location and they always go out of their way to take care of me. They usually end up giving me a better car than I reserved. Location is convenient to Oakland and Squirrel Hill.
The initial excitement of renting a car, so close to the hotel, quickly wore off when I received my bill at the end of the trip.I rented for one day. I called back on the day I was to return to inquire about the cost of keeping it 2 or 3 more days. The man who answered the phone, at the Avis counter in the Disney Hilton in Lake Buena Vista, was the same one I rented from the previous day. He assured me over and over, because I asked 3 times for clarity, that there would be no charge. I asked are you sure? He said sure. I made clear that I was going to keep it for 3 more days and he said that was fine. I asked how much would it cost and he said t wouldnt.Then I said well, if its not going to cost anything extra, miracle, then let me ask how much to return it to the airport. Not a problem, was the response. Let me be clear, there is no charge for me to keep the car 3 more days and there is no charge to return it to the airport. No maam.When I got to the airport, my receipt, when turning in the car, told another story. The man at the Avis counter in the Hilton at Disney, straight up lied.I tried to escalate and no one ever called me back no matter how many times I called them. They wouldnt even try to compromise on the price that was charged. I get it, I had the car, there was a charge, but due to huge communication errors, theres no way it can be reduced? I wasnt even trying to get it for free, just not the whole bill. I guarantee I wouldnt have kept the car if I would have known, ahead of time, that it would have cost that much. It wasnt in the budget.It soured my Disney experience a little bit. I should have gotten a new contract printed. Cant trust the word of anyone anymore.
I got Hyndai Elentra 2and time on 12 Mrach 2020 to drive with Uber,I just turned on air but its not working.32000 Miles on car.
Staff was friendly. Other than that, not much good to say. I rented a car to drive Uber for the week and the car was filthy. I had to scrub it down before I could let anybody in. I returned the car 3 days early and was notified it wasnt a prorated amount, it was a flat rate for the week. I would never rent through them again.
Avis had a special going on for a full/premium car, i was able to get it. However when i went to pick up the car they were out of full/premium car, so instead they gave me a BMW 5 series, made my vacation perfect. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Had to pick up the car at this location so paid the taxi over $60 from Orlando Airport but it was well worth it.
Guys there are fantastic. Really helpful during the whole renting process. Great collection of rental cars in very good condition. Last time I had trouble renting my desired vehicle at their place due to my credit card issue in the system. They went extra miles ( literally) and drove me to another Avis location to pick up another vehicle so that I can pick up my family at the airport on time! I really cannot thank them enough! I have tried other rental car company in the area, and they are the best!
I had a wonderful experience with both this Avis location and the one where I dropped off my rental. I wanted to get on the road in the morning as soon as possible for a trip home for the holidays, and even though I arrived before opening time expecting to wait until 8:30, they were not only open and ready, but the paperwork process was extremely simple and I was on my way out of the lot by 8:15.I also dealt with lost and found, as I left my eyeglasses in the vehicle. The staff was very helpful and I got the glasses back quickly. I will definitely consider them for my future renting needs!
The online experience was good and the car performed well. It was also a hybrid.. which I requested.
Brand new cards and great service. Everytime had trouble with something, they were right on fixing it. That being said, I recommend taking pictures as proof of anything you need to report immediately which helped me many times.
This was a pleasant experience this time. I give Budget rental car high marks. Its Avis I dont like. The way the handle things I dont know why they merge together
When renting the car, I was not made aware of the hidden fee in using the toll. I was charged 50$ for tolls that I did not use. When trying to receive a refund, the customer service representative was EXTREMELY rude and not helpful whatsoever. I would NOT use this service again and would not recommend this to anyone else. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Super nice ownership who know how to tell a good joke
When I wasnt able to pick my car up until the next morning, they kindly accommodated my delay (even though it was the height of the season, and cars were hard to come by). I would say that I was in and out in less than five minutes, the counter service was exemplary. Dropping off was just as easy. Happy, happy happy!
This was a good experience. We got the car we requested in a reservation, the car was clean and full of gas. The gentleman th as t helped was friendly and not pushy for add-on extras.

Positive experience. Rented a new Kia for a 2-day rental. The employee was very friendly and helpful. I would rent from this location again. If you are renting at the last-minute, you should call the location to see what vehicle categories they have available for your rental day. This is a neighborhood location that does not have the same inventory as an airport location, but they can bring cars in from the airport location for your rental.
I got overcharged and hit with a 76 dollar fee for a rental xharge I didnt agree to really upset with them just taking money without approving it from me.
Quick, easy, and they dont harass you to buy extras. I had requested a car seat and they had it waiting for me at the desk. Got a nice car and the checkout process was quick and painless. Not a fancy facility but Id go there again, just because they made it so easy. Knocked off one star because the car wasnt washed. Other than that, a good experience.

Hands down the best customer service at ANY car rental location! I can go on and on about how Angelo really gets to know his customers and puts customer service above all, but I would run out of room. The short is, if it is within his control, he makes it happen. Please note there are some things that are outside his control and Avis bookings do mess up. When that has happened, this location works swiftly to do what they can to make it right even when it was not their error.Good people, good service, good location. I look forward to renting from them every time I need a car, van, truck, etc. Thabks for always going above and beyond!!!

I had went to this location for returning the car, the person asked extra $25 for returning at different location. I was not told about this extra $25 while picking car.So I called to the place from where I had picked car. The other person was kind and he helped me.

I have been renting cars from AVIS for about 18 months, working with a consulting firm. They are uniformly courteous and attentive, in all this time I have never had any major issues with any rental. That kind of consistency is a big plus for me!
Horrible wont even return phone calls
Reserved and paid in FULL for a rental car a month before departing for a vacation. Arrived to pick it up and and they said they needed a credit card for deposit so gave the attendant, Bacler, a different credit card(because the original one we paid with was frozen and replaced because of fraud) he said it was declined. He said he could only run a card one time and that we can’t take the car that we already paid in full for AND that we had to file a claim for a refund. Called customer service to find out he tried to run card on file which we told him was frozen. I will never ever use AVIS again. They ruined our vacation.

Im on the theyre the best side of the coin. Switched a few years back from Enterprise to this Avis location for work and personal rentals. Always pleasant, helpful and quick service, cars are always in good shape. No dramas!

When I made reservation it did not indicate a per mile fee. Confirmation letter had estimate of $85. However mileage charges applied making total fee $185.

AM ADVISING PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, It was my first and last time using this company, if you think it might be cheaper then other companies at times, but its not worth the 3 hour wait and the worst customer service that you get and ruin your whole day. I had to wait in line for 3 hours to get my car, they had 3 employees ONLY, and when you look around the other companies have at least 4 or 5 so they have no lines what so ever, I tried to call the company to address my situation and That I would like to cancel since the problem is from their end and I shouldnt have to wait 3 hours. The worst customer representative said there is nothing he can do and asked for my name 3 times not remembering, also not answering me when am talking and would not transfer me to speak with someone else. I have never seen such outrageous attitude from a company that obviously could care less about their customers. I will tell everyone I know and advise them that this is the worst company to deal with and not worth the time. You guys need to get it together! Really!

As an Avis Preferred Plus, I was very satisfied with the agent and his handling of my car return. It was quick, accurate, and he provided some good information for future rentals at this location and MCO airport. Sad to see the criticisms of others and their unfortunate experience, but what Ive noticed is that many are only one-time customers of Avis (or rarely) or they have no idea (or theyre a millennial..yes, that generation! ). If you dont subscribe to Avis Preferred, youre missing out on a lot of benefits. (What you should know is that Ive rented from Avis at 10 major airports and 4-6 non-airport locations, having had more than 40 rentals w/Avis over past years. This Hilton one does a good job considering its resources, location, and capabilities. Yes, no one was at the desk...it was lunchtime, but the agent arrived within 5 minutes, he went outside to checkin my return, and closed out the rental & final charges. All done in less than 10 minutes from time he appeared, so no big deal!)
Easy way to grab a quick car while staying near Disney properties if you need to get out for a bit. Service is acceptable for a hotel outlet.
I was completely satisfied by the service and the vehicle offered to me by Angelo and Johnna Deiulius. They were very friendly, attentive to my needs, and made car rental a pleasurable experience. The Elantra that I rented was very clean and it performed superbly, with no problem at all.
Dont rent here, they will charge you for a larger vehicle than you ordered, give you the customer service run-around for an hour, then tell you theres no difference in price (probably rightly assuming that your time is worth more to you than the amount they overcharged, and that you wont press the issue any further). Bad business. Oh well!

After going in-person 2 days in advance to confirm that my truck would be available for pick-up, I got a call at 7:45 AM moving day that my 9 AM rental would, in fact, not be available and was instructed to call Customer Service. Customer Service wasnt open for 15 more minutes, and the CSR for Budget corporate was horrendous - even asked me You cant change your move-in day? after THEIR screw-up. It took the inventory manager over 2 hours to call me back with an option of another truck, further outside of the city, well after my scheduled pick-up time. Bad business, bad customer service - just a mess all around. While some of this wasnt the fault of this particular agency, I dont understand how it becomes my problem on the morning of my scheduled and confirmed pick-up that they dont have the truck needed. Shouldnt it be their responsibility to track it down? Use this company at your own risk... you may wind up running around the day of your move trying frantically to find another rental.

Short supply of cars during outside construction, yet was able to get one same-day (no bluetooth and a flakey aux input jack). The car was somewhat dirty (typical for Avis: front seat stains and food grime through the console). They run a credit check while many other locations do not. Id pick another location but they were open later on a Saturday than other Pittsburgh sites.

Terrible service. I booked a car online and went to pick it up. He asked for my international drivers license and card. I didnt have my card and thus wanted to use my husbands but they said the drivers license and card must have the same name, which is understandable. He also asked for my SSN#, which I gave to him.My husband had to go back home to get the card ( we live 35 min away) and when he came back we thought we were done. Surprisingly after he took all the information he found out that my SSN wont work because I am an international. So simply because he was ignorant regarding the requirements he messed up our weekend.I dont mind the rules. I only mind having people who work that dont know what they are doing. Very disappointed and will never deal with this place again.
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. They are lying thieves!!We arrived to LAX Avis having already prebooked and paid online for our car. When we arrived at 10pm, we waited in line for over an hour and a half to finally get to the front. Customer service agents were slow and rude. When we finally got to the front, I clearly told our customer service agent that we prebooked and paid and even produced a printed copy of our online car payment. Our agent, Gabriel, disregarded this payment and asked for my name, organising the paperwork. He asked us to sign and asked for a card. I confirmed again that I had already paid for the car and he said they needed a card for file only and no payment would be required. We later found out this was a lie. He also neglected to tell us about the hold of $250 that we will be charged!When we went to return the car, Carlos served us. He asked for a credit card again. When I asked what for he said it was for the payment of the car. I told him that it was already paid for online. He was rude and condecending and stated that just because we booked online doesnt mean we have paid online. I then showed him our payment receipt from online. He did not comment but did some typing on his computer. He then said we would need to pay the extra amount for our GPS we rented for $50. We said that was fine and gave him our card for the $50 payment.On our way to catch our plane we checked our account and realised he had charged us $291!! The complete amount of the car rental AND gps. THIS IS TOTALLY ILLEGAL TO CHARGE SOMEONES CARD WITHOUT THEIR AUTHORITY.We went back and spoke to the manager Aaron. He was also rude and condecending and was unapathetic to our situation. We had a plane to catch in an hour and he didnt even know how to authorise the refund. He asked for receipts for ALL PAYMENTS even though it would be in their records. When he finally accepted, after waiting another 20 minutes he said he refunded the payment.After 5 days the refund was still not processed so I called AVIS Customer Care. They stated that they could see i had been charged twice and that they would refund the amount because it had not been done yet. That means that Aaron had also lied about refunding our amount.What ridiculous service from a ridiculous company. All agents had lied and on top of that, ILLEGALLY TAKEN OUR MONEY.On top of this service, we had prepaid and booked a car at Orlando for our trip there. Even though we already paid online and paid the excess for being under 25, the company would not release the car to us without a credit card (we had a debit card), however on their online statement it simply says proof of return trip which we provided. On top of this, the customer service agent and manager here were unsympathetic and unhelpful, simply telling us to call Avis.I then had to call myself to get a refund processed - again wasting my time and money from my holiday savings!I will be following this up with other agents for legal advise, as we were without hundreds of dollars for our holiday because of this company!DO NOT USE!!
It took over and hour to pick the car up, the car wasn’t the one we booked (looked like a smaller version) and it wasn’t particularly clean - I will be using Enterprise again in the future

Had a confirmation code and took uber to location to pick up car but then they didnt have one available. Manager took the gas card home and wouldnt return it so all the cars returned couldnt be rented out. Needs new mgmt!!!!

The contract said we supposed to pay certain amount of money per day, but Avis charged us double, plus gas tank, that we filled before leaving the car. I am still waiting for the representative from Avis, 1751 Hotel Plaza Boulevar, Lake Buena Vista, FL, 32830 to call me. It has been 2 weeks since they said they would.
We returned a rental car to this location at the rear of the Hilton after changing our drop off location to within the Disney resort. It is a small location with a limited selection of cars (from what I saw) and no line at 9am on a Friday.
