I reserved a car rental 2 weeks in advance. I was called 1 hour before the reserved pickup time to tell me they didnt have any cars available and could not offer anything from another location either. Stay away from budget/avis.
My rental truck was damaged and there was a leak during the rain, which damaged a lot of my furniture. When I told the staff here he said Okay the proceeded to talk to fuss at someone else without ever acknowledging my issue.
Literally just moved here & my first impression is this grumpy guy at the front desk. Didnt catch his name. He got the job done, but was most unpleasant.
I have rented vehicles from this location for a couple of years, and i recommend this site for anyone that appreciates GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. They gave me a car with damage, then when I realized, and had to swap it for a working vehicle, customer service was terrible. And now they’re trying to bill me for the damage for which I had to turn in the car! This is not worth your trouble, trust me. Go elsewhere. And do not use Budget/Avis.
DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION or even Budget in general. I had a moving truck booked a month in advance of my interstate move. The day before my move at 4pm I get a call from this location telling me that my truck isnt available. They also said theyd call me the next morning to update me on my reservation. Never got the call. Couldnt get in contact with anyone that morning. Set my move back by 2 hours. Then, I got charged $50 for a no-show fee. Eventually got it refunded a month after the move. This location and its people dont care about customer service or you. Dont waste your time. U-haul on the North Side really saved my move though. Go there!
Very bad customer service. There was cigarette smell all over the car And that was very annoying. Also the car was not clean fully clean. To be honest it was the worst car rent experience I ever had.
I got a good deal on the rental by using my Costco membership. Got caught car on time. Car was good but they sneaked accidental benefit and emergency services benefits fee in the charge without my request. I signed on the papers without looking as I declined all extra items orally. Never happened with me in the past when I rented from other companies like Enterprise, Hertz or Avis. Be careful when you rent from here.
My car was not available so had to go to other location to get it but pickup time was not adjusted and fuel was still my responsibility. Also, was told there would be a toll pass but there wasnt so had to pay higher cash tolls. Finally, the car was bigger than what I reserved so I was forced to return to different location than what I chose. No apologies, no adjustments, and customer service supervisor didnt help either. Avoid this place if you can.
Exactly as other people were complaining, there were no cars at the location at the time of pick up. Ive reserved an SUV 10 days in advance, and waited there for 4 hours at the day of reservation until I had to cancel and go to the airport by taxi ($45), take a smaller car for a higher price ($40 more for a smaller car, excluding taxes and fees), pay higher taxes and fees, and I had to return the car to the airport and ride back (another $50). And the reason I had to go at the airport - there was not a single car on Saturday afternoon anywhere around (and by that time I supposed to be in Michigan already). So, overall, Ive lost 6 hours of my weekend, and paid ~$150 more for the car, including all of the transfer costs, and price and fees difference.Customer service promised me they will reimburse car rental from any other company. But when Ive sent them my reservation for reimbursement, they highlighted the fact that they so generously FULLY REFUNDED (!!!) my first reservation (as it was something exceptional).Although we realize we cannot make up for a disappointing experiencesuch as this, we do appreciate your feedback. - their response.You would think they will fix that after many negative feedbacks, but that was very optimistic hope.Think many times before you come here, and after that think again.
Good prices & policies r leaniant
I had some bad experiences with budget since they merge with Avis but this location is kinda new plus it was very easy to get to I had no issue or rudeness at all. If you call them on the phone an ask if they take debit cards they will say yes, but they dont. Not speaking about this location but there overall customer service sucks plus I think it way to many insurance option to pay for it was more than the car rental fee.
Rented cars and truck several times from this location. Staff was very helpful and efficient each time. Very good experience and personnel.
Efficient quick friendly service
I had a car reserved for 8 a.m. They had NO CARS in the lot. The employee told me they were being delivered from airport and would be there shortly. THEY ARRIVED AT 10:30. I shouldve been 3/4 of the way to Sandusky by then. I had family waiting on me. When the manager, Angelo, showed up, he was a complete A-hole! He didnt even apologize for the extreme inconvenience. He was rude, condescending and has NO BUSINESS BEING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you rent from here, dont say you werent warned.
Staff was pleasant, but service was marginal.
Came to drop off car within business hours and door was locked with no one on-site.
Rented cars on 2 occaisions and both times, with no other customers at this location I had to wait for the car to be delivered from another location. Why have a pickup time if you cant honor it?
I rented a truck in a friendly place and was worried about the problem of chasing the car. It was open, so I left the car and went to tell him in the morning. He kindly told me that he did well 😅 Thank you manager 🙏
