Don knew exactly what was needed and was available to consult and explain what needed done, then did it. When he finished our return he briefed us on what he did and why! We ll be back next year.

We really like our tax preparer, Madonna Crouse. We just feel that $400 for a fairly simple return is too expensive. We wish that their was a tiered pricing structure or hourly rate.

The Block Advisor, and (Brian) have always done a great job. I have been with Block for a long time, and they have always done a great job.

I see this location is closed now, but for the record: I had Madonna Crouse as my tax advisor using H&Rs Tax Pro Review in 2019. I saw previous reviews that said she was through, detailed and professional but unfortunately this was not my experience. After I submitted my taxes, I got a vague email from her saying there was not enough information but did not say what information she needed. I asked for clarification but got no response. I followed up once a week for three weeks, and then after a month of silence called her office. She claimed my file was with her manager and that she had not seen my follow-up messages. I find this hard to believe because these were in the internal system. Instead, she insisted I come into the office when I had already told her I didnt even live in her state (which was also clear on my taxes). She finally did submit my taxes, but without answering any of the questions I had sent on things I needed clarified, nor asking any normal questions Id expect in a real review. I was relieved when my taxes were finally submitted but obviously not working with her again. I have been an H&R review/Best-of-both client for 10 years and that was the worst experience Ive had. Interestingly, it is also the only one I never received a questionnaire/feedback form for afterwards. I recommend clients that do end up with Madonna start with her in February for risk of getting ignored for over a month. I hope she does not continue participating in this service if this is how she treats people needing to use it.
