I like staying at Courtyard. The service was amazing, check in & out was easy & quick. We did valet which was perfect to avoid looking for parking even though its a little bit pricey( its around $30 per day). The hotel is very close to many restaurants which are walking distance. The rooms were clean wish it had a view. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Great Rooms and great location with lots of bars and restaurants right out the front door. The vibe was so welcoming. Manna and Chance at the front desk were so incredibly helpful and friendly. I was so impressed!

Hotel location was great, lots of resturants on the block to choose from and valet parking guys were awesome....called from my room and car was always there by the time I got down stairs. It was a little disappointing that I couldnt use the 3 rd floor outdoor area, they were a ton of 10 to 12 year kids for some hockey tournament that took it over every time I tried to go. Front desk staff also did a great job helping to print out tickets, buying food from small store by front desk easy.

Really nice modern hotel. Walking distance to convention center, PNC stadium and lots of restaurants. The only issue was that it was hard to find a spot to park to check in, other than that everything was great!

Recommendations for where to eat, park etc given. Would definitely stay again!! Negative: Trash (receipts and empty bottle) from NJ. Im from DE. Left a bad taste in my mouth. MGR apologized and sent housekeeping up to service AND give me a new umbrella, gratis, for the rainy days. It was handled but makes you wonder what else did they forget!

The physical hotel experience by itself was worth five stars but I had to take a star off because I had three issues, two of them rather serious with the hotel. The first issue was really wasnt a big deal, but I was in the room for about 2 hours and myself my husband and our 2-year-old were just dying of heat. My husband is an HVAC specialist and did his best to try to fix the room temperature but we ended up having to call the front desk and have their engineer come up and apparently the air conditioning just wasnt working in general so they did switch our room and we ended up in a rather nice room actually nicer than the first one which was great. The next issue was more serious and actually I still havent really got resolution to it yet but the card I put on file for incidentals when I first checked in was my debit card, and the front desk according to my account had tried to run my card five times for different amounts all adding up to over $120 and I had to physically turn my card off because 120 was deducted from my account by Marriott and for no reason. The manager up front really was not very helpful and gave me the runaround in regards to the unauthorized transactions and I really didnt like it. Something was definitely fishy and still is about that situation. The third issue was completely unacceptable especially for a marriott. When we woke up in the morning my husband noticed that our 2-year-old daughter had a disgustingly crusty and dirty sock in her hand that did not belong to either of us or her. So he decided to look around the room to figure out where I came from and in the linens on my daughters bed it was the matching pair to that sock, equally as crusty dirty and disgusting and stinky as the one my daughter had in her hand and on top of that located in the closet there was a equally dirty disgusting and stinky pair of jeans that did not belong to anybody in our family and were way too big for anybody in our family as well size wise. Upon checkout in the morning, when I brought all of my issues up to the manager, I would have expected to be offered some sort of compensation immediately without hesitation and with no issue, but I was not offered anything by the manager she just said she was sorry and that they would have look into my claims. Seeing as how this was a Marriott, Id really expect to be treated a lot better than I was. Just as an example, when I stayed at the comfort Inn, our room flooded and they gave me a 50% discount on my stay, whereas the Marriott didnt offer me anything. I had to call corporate and then call this website that I booked the room through to finally receive a full refund which I havent received yet but Im going to give it a few more days. Im a loyal Marriott customer, a member and Ive had a Marriott credit card for years. I spent so much money staying at Marriott hotels that Im thoroughly disappointed with this experience. The only nice thing about the experience was the actual hotel itself it was beautiful minus the crusty clothes in the room.g

I stayed for one night. I was super impressed with how clean everything was. It was very quiet. I felt very safe. Staff was very kind. The little shop items were expensive but I understand its priced that way because its convenient. I did have an issue with them putting holds on my bank card but I was able to work with the front desk and the bank to gets the holds removed. Overall I would definitely recommend!

Check in and check out was very quick and efficient. The room was clean, and in great condition. But, please make sure guests rooms are nice and warm upon check in during the cold winter months. Due to the size of the room, and humongous windows, it took a while to warm up. Id recommend warming the rooms in the morning before check in. Other than that, the Hotel, and courtyard is beautiful.

The hotel is well designed and the room looks rather fashionable. My only complaint would be that the bathroom is a bit lacking in amenities and some components look like a mix between old and modern designs.

We had a hotel booked, but it cancelled on us without notice. The Courtyard Marriott was readily available at a great price! The staff was immediately accommodating and the rooms were spotless. We will now choose this hotel any time we make the trip back to Pittsburgh!

11/20 I cant say enough great things about the employees here. From the initial arrival, to each time I walk through the door. So why 1 star? Because employees = quality in the service industry. Marriott posted a $100 million profit, while many of the people that make my life on the road tolerable are laid off. They returned to profitability at the expense of employees and customers. They put shareholders ahead of us. No other hotel has cut back like marriott and their franchisees. Bring back your people and restore the services your most loyal customers have come to rely on!

The staff was excellent and went out of there way to accommodate me.

We just stayed here for 1 Saturday night and didn’t get a chance to explore the hotel much. The room is neat and decent as shown is pictures. The view of all the buildings in downtown from my 8th floor room is amazing 🤩. The location of this hotel is very good as it is walkable to most of the restaurants, offices, Point State Park. The basic necessities in the restroom are good(especially shampoo, conditioner and body wash ❤️ Soo relaxing).It’s advertised as Starbucks is served but I didn’t see any as the cafeteria is closed(probably due to Covid situations). But luckily there is a cafe named - The Standard which is a part of this hotel (I assume as we need to enter from the Hotel) is very good. I am used to Starbucks and never liked coffee in other places, but I ordered cappuccino with caramel and its so good 😊.The only small thing I didn’t like was - there is no body lotion/shower cap which is usually provided in other locations(I’m aware as I stayed at Courtyard by Mariott in other cities/states).I would surely recommend this place for the location, cleanliness and price.

Staff was very friendly. Everything was clean. The vote was very empty when we were there yet we were still stuck into one of the smallest room with absolutely no view. When we asked to be changed we were told there was nothing they could do. So disappointed. And the king size bed is a city king aka a queen.

If you are considering a place to stay in the Downtown Pittsburgh area, I could not say enough about the Courtyard Downtown! The staff is amazing here. So personable and they work very hard to make sure that your needs are met! Right next door to the Conference Center. Restaurants right across the street are excellent. I travel a ton for work and this was one of the BEST, attentive, friendly staffs I have ever encountered!

The hotel was so nice, the staff were the sweetest. We want to move to the area and our plans got cancelled but the staff was more than accommodating. We would defiantly come back to stay in the area. The hotel was very clean and cozy! We loved the high ceilings too!

Staff was very friendly and efficient. We lost a room key and were able to get replacement keys quickly without fuss. Super secure, clean and accommodating. Location is awesome! There’s a little strip of patio dining right out front. I’m sure it was even better pre-Covid, so we’ll want to come back once it’s passed.

We travel to Pittsburgh often, and over the years have tried various hotels in Downtown. We have always come back to the Courtyard on Penn Ave! Their service has been consistent and welcoming, checking even in the chaos of Tekko has always been manageable, and they take wonderful care of my care in Valet. It sounds silly, but the added big bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are an awesome new addition, too! Well always be back, theyre the best!

My sister and I attended The Messiah at Heinz Hall and I wanted to stay downtown, instead of driving to Monroeville or back to my home in Altoona after the concert. This hotel was very reasonably priced for all of the amenities and other creature comforts that were provided. We enjoyed the whole experience, from the valet service to the desk check-in and departure. The room was very, very attractive and my lemon/blueberry ricotta pancakes for breakfast were a wonderful first-time treat. When I attend other concerts in the future, I will most definitely stay at your hotel. Five stars from a first-timer at Marriot!

This hotel is great. Its very large, the ceilings are so high you feel you can breath!! the valet service is superb and the location excellent. And to make matters even better their toiletries offered are first class, great brand and perfect size. Loved this hotel, wish they were all like this.

Pretty old facility

It was nice to be so close to the convention center. Hotel beautiful and comfortable met all our needs. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food at restaurant good. It would of been nice if they opened at 6 on weekend as made us rush for our event started at 8 and a lot of others also waiting to eat.

This facility is where my family has stayed in the past 3 years for our granddaughters dance competition, despite the competition being held at another hotel. The desk personnel have always been friendly, helpful and courteous! Housekeeping is always kind and available. There is a snack/ breakfast area in the hotel and the location is also near numerous restaurants and the Convention Center giving us an option of activities in down time. Then with the convenience of a shuttle, we visited other nearby attractions. I highly recommend this Marriott property!

I dont normally write reviews but I have to for this hotel. We stayed here last weekend for a long weekend + Browns/Steelers game and the hotel is perfectly located in downtown Pittsburgh! The lobby area is huge and so clean. The room had high ceilings, spacious, and so clean - loved the see-through fridge! The big reason why I am giving this hotel 5 stars is because we checked out/checked our bags in while we attended the football game. We returned and retrieved our luggage bags + car from valet, but we missed one of our bags that was filled with our laundry from the weekend. We realized this when we got home in Columbus, Ohio (about 3 hours away). I called the hotel and they were able to locate the bag AND they said they would ship it to us without any charge. Not only was the bag sent to us in 2 days, they WASHED OUR CLOTHES. Our clothing arrived dry cleaned, folded and everything. SO unexpected but SO appreciative on our part. They went out of their way to take care of our things! We will definitely be staying here when we return - we visit Pittsburgh every year! And we DEFINITELY recommend staying here!!

This Hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s an easy walk to PNC park. It was a lot of money for one night stay however everything was perfection and the rate is compare to all the other hotels downtown and at PNC park. The valet service was so convenient and I definitely recommended using it (even at an up charge) we will definitely go back to stay at the Marriott again! I also recommend if you are going to eat breakfast in book your room so it includes breakfast.

Stay here was good. Though i got the room which opened its windows to another wall, I was here for one night only and they had an excellent service. I would recommend them to take care of Internet accesss not asking guests to purchase a pack every day. The cellular connection was poor in my room as well. But it was a convenient place to stay if you’re looking for a place close to everything around pittsburgh.

The Courtyard Pittsburgh Downtown is a haven in the City. The customer service is outstanding. I had the pleasure of being checked in by Justin, he was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, minutes from Market Square and so many choices for food/drink. The rooms are beautifully renovated, modern but yet warm. The cafe serves up a great selection for breakfast, they are quick and kind. Highly recommend grabbing a bite before heading off for your day.

The people & location are worth the 5 stars! Bed was comfy & room was clean. It’s feet away from the convention center in heart of cultural district. The only problem was no body lotion was in bathroom.

We stayed here for a convention. The proximity to the convention center is very convenient, yet the street is narrow and paved with brick. You can walk to major attractions or to get necessities. The rooms are renovated, clean, bright and have nice kitchenettes for leftovers and cold drinks. The fitness center was clean and bright as well with a view to the courtyard. I highly recommend this stay.

I had the most wonderful, pleasant desk attendants anyone could have ask for. They were so polite & always smiling. They even fixed my reservation l had for the night, l somehow made for the following week. They changed it without any problems & let me know where l could park if l needed to leave my car longer without getting towed or a ticket. Thanks guys!

The stay was very relaxing. I know it was going to be great by the way we were treated by Chance. I was so impressedwith him that I asked to speak with the manager and he said that he was:) So I waited so see if there was someone in a position a level up from him so that I can just share his outstanding customer service. All of the people that he interacted with seemed to be crazy about him. His peaceful personality is memorable. He even remember my name and created me whenever I walked back into the building. The two women at the Bitro was also outstanding. One again, when I asked to speak to a persons supervisor, the young lady told me that she was. She was incredibly sweet and attentive, I did see the GM on Saturday past to inform him of the aforementioned.

Its a great location within walking distance of Heinz Hall and other cultural venues as well as several restaurants. Rooms are modern and well kept. Priced Right.

We traveled to Pittsburgh to take in a performance of Les Miserables at the Benedum Center. The Courtyard by Marriott Downtown was ideal for a 2-night stay.The property is within easy walking distance of the theatre, Market Square, a variety of restaurants and downtown attractions. Our guest room, as well as the lobby, cafe and common areas, were spacious, comfortable and clean. Hotel staff that we interacted with were friendly and eager to be of assistance.

My husband and I stayed here for Pittsburgh’s Light Up Night. This hotel is newly updated and a great location in the city, close to restaurants/bars and cultural district. Staff was friendly and rooms were spacious and clean. Would definitely return to this location in the future.

Great hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. We visited for a Cubs game and had a great experience. I made reservations on line and was quickly greeted at the curb by a helpful staff member. Check in was quick and the person working the desk was both personable and helpful. The room was spacious clean and very comfortable. We had breakfast there in the morning and was a little disappointed by the service and wait time for a small sandwich. Hotel great, skip the food.

Everything was great until there was a cockroach in my room. Was advised I would be comped in points for the experience, reached out twice and nothing became of it. Very disappointing.

This location is being renovated and the new rooms are very clean. The staff is fantastic valet was very easy as long as you dont have a stick shift vehicle. A big shout-out to the owner Jim! Thank you.

Best feature was the big screen TV in the room! Newly renovated but nothing special. Shower head was very high up so shorter people wont be able to reach to adjust it, but if youre tall you will love it. Absolutely no view from my room. Bed was very comfortable. Exercise room was being refurbished. Staff was very friendly. Nice restaurants right across the street. Valet service was very good. Front desk staff was friendly. Very clean throughout.

This hotel was fantastic. My wife and I had a great stay. Our room was newly remodeled and was very spacious. Bed was super comfy, shower was amazing and the TV was nice and big. Only complaint was that parking was a little tough but overall if youre in downtown Pittsburgh, you have to stay here at least once. Its a beautiful place.

The Courtyard by Marriott on Penn Avenue gets top marks from me. The hotel is modern, beautiful, and clean. The staff there is wonderful and eager to accommodate. This review comes after my second visit there while traveling for business and I wouldnt stay anywhere else.

This particular courtyard is in an excellent location within walking distance to so many restaurants, ppg arena, parks, museums, bridges etc... Well appointed with lovely decor appearing as if recently renovated. Pristinely clean and wonderful hospitable service from all. Highly recommend this facility and will hopefully return again in the near future.

The convenience of valet parking was exactly what I needed after a long drive. Check in was quick and I was off to my room. The room was gorgeous and roomy. The TV included NFL Network so I was pleasantly surprised and very happy to be able to watch Thursday night football. It was very quiet and I got a good nights sleep. Will definitely stay here again!

This trip was completely leisure. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, in the cultural district, and has easy access to most of the citys main attractions. Because of its location any night life or entertainment you are wanting is within walking distance or a quick Uber ride to what you need. I greatly enjoyed the hotel.

This hotel was quaint, in a perfect part of the city for my needs and plenty of shops and restaurants, if needed, around it. The staff was helpful and friendly, The valet was efficient and nerve calming. The Bistro had a great breakfast selection and the gym was clean with the right equipment. Excellent stay.

The courtyard is the perfect location for work and leisure. Parking is super easy: The hotel offers valet, but there’s also a parking garage right next door. There are bikes for rental nearby if you wanted to explore the city a bit faster. The hotel itself is in a really awesome location for anything! There are a ton of restaurants within walking distance on Penn ave itself. It’s also within walking distance of PNC Park if you wanted to catch a Pirates game or concert. The hotel itself is incredibly clean and the staff is very professional. I strongly suggest staying here over some of the local hotels based on price/location/quality.

Stayed one night in a newly renovated king room. While the renovations were just getting ready to end, I heard no disruption or had any service issues related to them. The room was very clean and provided the level of consistency that Courtyard and the Marriott brand has trained their customers to expect. Well done!

This hotel staff was awesome and accommodating! The room was small and the tv didnt work but we still had a great time!! It is probably one of the hotels in Pittsburgh that has the cleanest rooms and most comfortable beds. The cost is comparable if not cheaper than other hotels nearby.

I love this hotel for its proximity to the Benedum and Byham; we stay here and walk to the shows year round. It is not short on nightlife, yet feels safe. The staff are always professional, and usually outstanding. The breakfast is great here; I recommend the Healthy Choice sandwich and the smoothies. I stay here a lot and the hotel is consistent. My room is always clean, the internet never fails. Truly, its a great place to stay. Valet service is not optional; but since we walk everywhere downtown it works out perfectly. I dont have to worry about my car.

The shower was my best hotel shower experience in years. The water pressure was amazing and I took 5 showers in 2 days to take advantage of it. Otherwise its a great hotel. Clean, friendly staff and lots of places to eat within a block. The valet service was nice, no need to look for parking. Well stay here everytime we come to Pittsburgh from now on.
