Their websites says they have all this stuff then after you stay they cant help you. They are the McDonalds ice cream machine of hotels. The pool/gym was closed, chauffeur service up to one mile has been gone fore 3 years. The rooms were clean but after getting a shower the humidity would never leave the entire room even with the A/C running. For what I paid Ive gotten better service for sub $100 hotels. Save your money and find a better hotel.
Very nice but p r i c e y. Everyone has been very helpful. We are here for an event which is close walking distance, and parking garage is under the hotel. Dont think we could have done any better.
Beautiful hotel. Excellent staff. I really enjoyed my 3 night stay. The restaurant inside was a different story completely.
We thought the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and the restaurant attached had really good burgers. The rooms had small beds but were clean.
Positive: The staff was so nice and helpful. They have late check-outs as late as 3pm at no extra charge. Parking is easily accessible. Negative: The hotel room could have been slightly cleaner for the Proce. Additionally, parking was accessible but requires that you pay a different fee each time you leave and return your car (there is no way to just pay for the entire day) which was costly.
Positive: Great downtown location. Easy walk to Andy Warhol museum and PNC park. Negative: Parking was $24 a day but that¿s pretty standard.
Absolutely amazing environment. We stayed a week. Enough time to experience the gym which was quite extensive cardio and weight wise. Housekeeping was available as needed and the front desk staff was extremely helpful. Shoutout to Chad who guided us with not an ounce of impatience or irritability. Planning on being back in a few months and staying at this very location 🌟
We stayed here for one night on our way from Vermont to Texas. Laura or Linda checked us in and she was simply delightful. Full of suggestions of things to do before we left the city. Our room was very clean, on the top floor with a great view. The bed was extremely comfortable with a lovely duvet and great pillows. Rain shower head with a wand In he bathroom. Adjustable thermostat that got as cold as wanted it. Great experience after a long day of driving. The elevators were the coolest I have ever seen. You choose your floor before getting on, and then it tells you which carriage will take you to your floor. Then it’s just you, flying up 26 floors! Super cool!
Positive: Friendly staff and location is great. Hotel is very nice to stay. Very clean and comfortable. Water bottles are free unlimited. Negative: Double beds should have been more spacious. Little tight for two adults.
Positive: The Westin is centrally located to downtown Pittsburgh. The restaurant stayed open to accommodate the guests that were in attendance. Every staff member I encountered went above their duties to see that my needs were met. Negative: The Starbucks is on the other side of the building. It would be nice if it were located in the huge lobby area.
Positive: Easily accessible to everything. Very nice rooms and the staff was very friendly. They were able to accommodate our early check in request. Negative: No, everything was great!
Positive: It was very nice. Hotel was clean and kept up with. Staff was very nice Negative: Nobody informed us that their parking garage is low and that a normal size truck couldn¿t fit into it.. (even when I called the hotel and asked specifically about parking) we got there at 1130pm after a wedding to find that we couldn¿t park there
These comments were posted on Westinghouse website.1. I asked for room service that never happened. Towels and bed.2. There is no fresh air ventilation.3. The bath exhaust was not working. (Toilet sheet test).4. The sink top was dirty (grimy) around the faucet.5. Cosmetically, wallpaper seems were coming apart on the FAU wall and bathroom tile and caulking were poorly installed.6. (Not noted on their survey) poor draining tub and the slowest flushing toilet I have ever witnessed.
Positive: The Westin has heavenly beds and pillows. Hotel offers a great location. Convenience in everything.
Unfortunately, I paid for insurance in the hotel and they have not gave it back to me yet. I don’t know why!!! I have checked out early???
Stayed here for wedding. Staff from entrance to front desk were so friendly and accommodating! Room was clean and bedding so comfy.
Positive: I loved the view but it¿s hard to say that¿s the best thing because we really were very impressed with everything and enjoyed staying here so much that I have friends who stay in Pittsburgh for business and I will gladly recommend this hotel to them Negative: The only thing that I would say wasn¿t perfect was the parking situation. Having to park in the garage that wasn¿t part of the hotel, but the only option I had and there¿s no validation for parking as a hotel guest was some what of a disappointme
Positive: The fact that it was right in the city was great Negative: There were some holes in the sheets and there was a parking fee. They had no rooms available below floor 8. My wife has vertigo and we had to take stairs up 8 flights because rooms on 5th floor were not cleaned .
Positive: The room was very nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff was very courteous and professional. Negative: The only negative was the parking garage over night rate of $24. However the rate is only $8 if you check out before 4 a.m.
Positive: Great value. Had a great visit with the exceptions below. Walking distance to the river parks. Bring a bike or you can rent one steps from the hotel. Negative: This is a convention center hotel. Apparently when there is no convention, there is no place open for a meal, and it was tough to find breakfast in the area. (Many places closed.) Pool and weight room were closed.
Spacious and well appointed room. Very comfortable bed and a River view. Parking under the hotel. Clean and safe hotel.
Was convenient to everything, very walkable, easy access to the center. But the beds and pillows were too soft for me.
Positive: Absolutely nothing this was NOT a 4 star hotel whatsoever. Negative: This is a terrible deal, this hotel is NOT in the same class as the Omni William Penn or the Kimpton. The hotel was absolutely disgusting, there was still food left all over our room and the bathroom was not cleaned. I will never stay here again
Positive: Good elevators. No crowding with other guests. Negative: Only restaurant in hotel is a burger joint. There are numerous restaurants in walking distance.
It was absolutely stunning. Our son got married August 21st and we stayed the whole weekend. Fabulous!
Positive: We only stayed one night but the hotel is beautiful- staff is friendly and helpful. Great location to walk across the Roberto Clemente bridge to see the Pirates play.
Positive: The front desk staff was super helpful in finding a restaurant for me and my family. I also really like that the elevators have a key pad that you just press your floor before entering so we had just ourselves in the elevator very safe
When a power failure occurs the safety of the people in the building should be paramount. On August 1st 2021 (7thflr) it was not. I could not believe the hotel did not send someone to every floor to direct traffic. The hotel was near capacity. Do you not have a generator backup? Isnt there a plan in the case of this event? What about disabled or the elderly? I was a bit stunned by the hotels response to the situation. The staff was seemingly unprepared. Things happen but this should be prepped for and reaction times quicker. If you want to book out the hotel make sure you are staffed otherwise like a restaurant with short staff blocking off sections in response to the short staff a hotel should do the same.
Im a big believer that guests should NEVER pay for parking, especially when its above average in price compared to the places around it. That said, staff was good, room was great, view was great, whole hotel was very clean with decent upkeeping. If parking was free (even if the room was $30 more as stupid as it sounds), this would be a five star review easily.
Positive: Close to lots of nice restaurants with outdoor seating. Clean rooms and helpful staff. The parking on-site is convenient.
Be cautious when placing a reservation with this hotel, you will have 24 hours to cancel or they wont refund any of your money. Even though they say they are taking Covid seriously, you will have to provide proof from your doctor that you cant travel. It is pure insanity that a person would be out over $800 because they were forced to cancel a trip.
We were next to the elevator... not the most pleasant. Room was spacious but dated, bathroom was nice, including an awesome shower! Glad I booked on hotwire, I would have been very disappointed if I had to pay full price. I was pleased with the value for what I received.
This is a GRAND and WONDERFUL venue for a wedding or event. I love the staff, they are all exceptionally professional and kind. The high ceilings make for a very dramatic and beautiful event. I love working here!
Positive: The location is great. The rooms are well-appointed and clean. The staff was helpful and offered an extended check-out experience. Negative: it was difficult to understand the parking
Positive: My room had a wonderful view of the city and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was very helpful as well. Negative: No
Positive: Overall comfortable. Negative: The tub drained a little slow. We didnt have any washcloths either. (And didnt notice til I was actually showering, lol.)
Beautiful Hotel, rooms are very nice, I can stay in this bed all day so comfortable and cozy..
Room had an excellent view staff was great the feel of the entire place was something else I couldnt explain. Very much enjoyed the stay
Positive: The hotel is attached to the convention center and is located right in the heart of downtown. Very close to restaurants and walking distance to PNC park. Negative: The hotel is rated 4 stars but I didn¿t feel like it felt like a 4 star hotel. Room had things left on the floor and in the mini fridge from previous guests. Noise could be heard when other guests flushed their toilets and open and closed their doors.
Positive: The location was great. Negative: The air conditioning was extremely poor. I woke up sweating through the night despite turning the temperature down several times.
Positive: Great view of the city. Negative: First night was uncomfortable as air conditioner wasn¿t working right. Came in the second night and the room had not been cleaned nor had towels been replaced. Seems they forgot to tell us they suspended daily room service. T
Negative: I got there for checkin and realized I left my purse and wallet in the car that dropped me off. I explained to the man at the front desk and asked if I could make a call to have my driver come back and he suggest I walk to Greyhound station 4 a pay phone.
The property is beautiful, great location and excellent staff. The room was a bit outdated not as nice as other Westins Ive stayed at. Rooms need some updating. 5 star property 3 star rooms.
The staff is very professional and attentive. My room was immaculately clean, well-furnished, and comfortable. They have terrific TV service that allows you to watch broadcast TV or take advantage of popular streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, etc. The parking is terrible... The garage is cramped, the ticket machines are finicky and you have to pay each time you leave... No in/out priveleges.
Positive: Great location, clean and nice getaway. Negative: The people who clean th we room was knocking on our door at 8pm. Not cool on a Saturday morning. You should warn people of this.
Positive: The staff was super nice, rooms were spacious. Negative: location. parking!
Positive: Belllman was super respectful and an awesome person¿
Positive: Convenience, layout, and view were excellent. Negative: Staff were helpful, but maybe not as warm as I would have expected. Not exactly snotty, but maybe more aloof.
Positive: Nice location. Right downtown. Negative: Stain on the floor. Parking is $24 extra a day.
Had a great visit. Friendly staff. Nice accommodations. Clean, quiet, comfortable.
Positive: Location and great views of city!!! Rain shower head in the shower was nice. Room was clean. We enjoyed our stay. Negative: Parking was $28 for over night. It is the city though. Breakfast was horrible. Expired yogurt!! It was super expensive for what it was scrambled eggs, has brown and sausage links. $30 for 2 people is ridiculous.
Positive: Beautiful lobby, very friendly and helpful staff. Awesome gym! Great location downtown right next to the strip district. Beautiful views from the rooms!
Positive: Bed was excellent! Negative: No.
The customer service of the front desk staff is top-notch!! Keep up the GREAT work!!!
Excellent location and extremely clean rooms. Staff is pleasant as well. Paying for parking stinks but is understandable considering location.
Positive: The location was excellent. Rooms were very nice.
Negative: The hotel itself was great. The loud people who were partying outside their door from 12-5am ruined the experience. We left early to go home and sleep.
Positive: Location, bedding, cleanliness Negative: Parking prices - no valet and if you wanted to move the car, you had to pay each time
Positive: Nice downtown location. Negative: $78 for continental breakfast for five. Ouch.
Positive: Location, cleanliness, staff friendliness Negative: Parking cost in the parking garage
Positive: Westin has the best beds by far. Always a good night sleep. Negative: As a pet lover I dont like it when people bring their barking dogs with them. Not a fault of the hotel though.
Positive: Quiet, clean, and centrally located Negative: Restaurants/bar closed too early and no breakfast available
Positive: Great room and elevator. Great location and restaurant in lobby was the best
Decent rooms. Location good. Sad that Pittsburgh still not fully open
Positive: The room was great and the staff was great for check in but checking out was a different story Negative: Checking out was ok until I found out my car was broken into in the parking garage and the staff didn¿t do anything to accommodate or even ask if everything was ok they handed me a phone number and said here call this number
Positive: Location, Food, Quality of Beds. Had a great night sleep. Negative: None.
Positive: the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable Negative: no microwave in room
Positive: The bed was comfortable and had a great nights sleep. Negative: the parking signs are a bit off..
Positive: How clean and nice was everything Negative: No, everything was perfect
Positive: Well maintained and beautiful hotel Negative: Nothing. It was awesome
We stayed here over my birthday weekend which also happens to be Valentines Day. I paid extra for the spread the love package which included chocolates and sparkling wine in our room, parking passes each good for one in and out, and an envelope of coupons good for restaurants around the city that you have to look up online.Their website doesnt say anywhere that their parking garage is under the building, we assumed it was the parking garage for the convention center next door but it is not. Their website lists that they have a spa even though they do not. And their website also said that they had room service available 24/7 which again, they do not.Upon check-in our original ticket from the parking garage was taken by the front desk and they gave us the prepaid ones. We tried to leave the parking garage about an hour later and it would not let us out of the parking garage. After backing out of the exit and finding a spot, taking the elevator and walking all the way back to the front desk, we were told to go back to the exit and just push the help button. Well the man on the other end of the help button was just as unhelpful as the front desk staff, but he finally let us out probably just because he felt bad for us.The room was really awkwardly designed, when I ordered a corner suite I figured it meant two windows and I could see two sides in the city. Instead you walked in the door on the corner and the bedroom was to one side and the living room was to the other and there was no way to get to each other except by walking back towards the front door. also they use a picture of a bathroom that looks absolutely nothing like any of the bathrooms in their hotel. The bathroom door smacked into the shower curtain every time you opened it and you couldnt even open it all the way.Lastly we were told we didnt need to check out until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, but at noon the TVs reset as well as my key card for the room. Luckily I took all my stuff with me because I realized that everything had reset. Still annoying though why would you tell somebody they dont have to be out until 3:00 but then reset everything?Overall, just a very subpar experience for the amount of money that I spent on our room.
Ok hotel, I feel like it could be better for the price paid. The staff seemed a bit lost but the one positive was the location to everything.
Tim the security guy, extremely rude, and very nebby. Asking inappropriate questions, that are very personal to guests that arrived late at night, when the first half of the group checked in hours ago. Insisting my friend get out of bed, come down the elevator and he see him in person. What kind of hotel is this? Thats not reasonable on any level. And those rooms are not worth the price. No more than $85 respectfully.
Extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at this hotel. I was double-charged for my stay because the system froze or had to be rebooted. The gentleman that checked me in didnt seem to care that I was double-charged and said because he does see it on his end but my bank removed the funds. The hotel does not do a good job of letting guests know of any additional holds that would be charged at check-in. Not only was check-in terrible now even after my stay I am forced to make calls regarding all the extra funds charged to my account.
What a beautiful hotel. Only issue was the price of parking, but we would definitely stay there again. Very clean, very nice staff
Great facility and great front desk people. We really liked the location in downtown and close the RV show.
I had a beautiful stay while here on work. I travel frequently for my tech sales job, and I greatly appreciate good Marriott locations. This is the best Ive stayed in so far. As a Gold Elite member I enjoyed the free upgrade to a beautiful and spacious corner suite on the 26th floor. The lobby looks great too, everywhere is clean, great gym with more equipment than most. Staff were friendly and helpful at every step. The bar is great too, I got beer and burgers there most days of my stay.I will need to be back in Pittsburgh for work (great city btw) and will choose the Westin again.
Positive: Very clean; wonderful staff Negative: Parking was not free; I had to pay $21 for overnight parking.
Positive: Staff was amazing excellent customer service. Negative: no
Positive: The friendly staff. Very helpful with late check out. Negative: Thought the room should have been a little cheaper.
Positive: Comfortable bed. Great location.
Positive: They had a Starbucks in the hotel. Negative: The room was very noisy. We kept hearing a door slam all night and the vent for the airconditioner was very loud. I hardly slept for 2 nights.
Positive: The hotel was clean, beautiful, and everyone was extremely kind.
Positive: Location and the overall ambiance (and smell-so good!) of the public areas. Negative: The rooms need a little updating.
Positive: Great location and everything was as expected.
Great staff and comfortable rooms.
Positive: Location Negative: Parking price
Positive: friendly and helpful staff, great location, dog friendly!

Positive: Parking ramp was attached. Negative: Room wasn¿t clean.
Excellent service! Very friendly staff!
Positive: Nothing. This IS NOT a 4 Star Hotel. Negative: NOTHING. NOT a 4 star hotel as described. OLD. Waste of Money.
