Matt was outstanding. He cleaned our fireplace insert and was very knowledgeable. We have a new unit and chimney liner, installed about 5 years ago (by a different company), but he reassured everything looked good. He asked us about 4 times if we had any questions.

Nice guys but I would shop around for chimney repair quotes. I paid for the inspection and was quoted $9,500 for liner demo, new liner, parge, and damper...just had the exact same scope of work completed for $4,020. I was also told it would take 2 workers 2-3 days to complete. It was completed with 2 guys in one day. Ive found that the Pittsburgh contractors prices in general are higher than the guys out of Washington County.

I have never had a more professional and respectful conversation with a contractor than I had with Dale. He does everything you want in a contractor coming into your home. Thorough inspection, friendly smile, patient and wipes his feet before entering your home..(I know this sounds minor but I cant tell you how many muddy contractors just come stomping in on your carpets). If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Will definitely use his business again and would recommend to friends and family.

Sometimes as homeowners we neglect certain things. In my case, I put off getting my chimney swept for far too long. Dale came out and swept my chimney clean and showed me before and after photos...BIG DIFFERENCE! Also, Dale was able to replace the crown of the chimney. I had no idea it was deteriorating, but yet again I’m not on my roof much. Highly recommend!

We used their services at my moms house and they were incredibly kind, professional, passionate about fireplace and chimney educating, tidy, and responsive to our needs. This is our first winter living in a house with a fireplace. Matt came to do an inspection on our chimney and had to come back later with Dale because of the difficulty in accessing our roof and chimney. In the end, they suggested we contact another local company thats better equipped for handling this size of job (our house is very tall and the roof is quite steep) and they didnt charge for the inspection. All the advice and recommendations they gave us were extremely helpful though and I feel like we got too much of their valuable expertise for free! They are so good at explaining things and really friendly, and Im kind of sad that we wont be able to use them for this work. I recommend them!

I had a number of different issues going on and for each one, they took as much time as I needed to completely understand. They sent me pictures and videos to supplement the notes. I had no idea where to begin converting my wood-burning fireplace into gas, but I knew I needed my chimney inspected either way. I cold-called this company and had an appointment booked the next day in minutes. They were simple, friendly, and got the job done quickly and effectively. He did a great job cleaning ours (it needed a pretty good scrub) and the bricks are now spotless. He gave us a ton of pointers along the way.This is a small touch, but one that I thought was so cool: Matt just so happened to find a red scrap of cloth inside our chimney - some evidence of Santas point of entry. First of all, I want to say that when I contacted this company, a really polite gentleman promptly returned my call and set up an appointment. My appointment needed to be scheduled out and to my satisfaction, Dale (the owner/technician), called me the day of and sent a text. He was able to arrive early and was so kind and easy to work with. I have recently purchased a house that is over 100 years old, and have many, many questions about home maintenance and repair. One of these concerns was that my hot water heater was not venting properly, and the chimney needed cleaning and repair. You rarely find business owners who are honest, do quality work and love what they do. The owner Dale was a breath of fresh air and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of any chimney work. My wife and I purchased a new midcentury modern home a month or so ago and before lighting a fire for the first time, we thought necessary to have someone come out and make sure everything was alright. We came across his listing due to the perfect 5 star reviews he received and after meeting and working with him I can see why. We gave him a call, which he responded on the first try and set up a date. From the very beginning I had a good feeling about him when the date we asked him for wasnt available and he was kind enough to make it work for us. First impressions are everything... Not only was he knowledgable in addressing all concerns and making sure you understand what needs to be done and why, he was extremely courteous and has great manners, which to me is a big deal. The first time he came out he assured us that everything looked to be in good shape with our upstairs fireplace, but due to some cracks in our lower fireplace, we could have some smoke intake issues when lighting our upstairs fireplace. He explained which type of damper system would need to be installed to correct this if we in fact wanted to address it in the future and didnt try to sell us what so ever. Low and behold, as soon as we lit our first fire upstairs, we noticed smoke coming through our downstairs fireplace. My wife and I texted him on a Saturday night, which he responded immediately and we set up a new date for him to come back out when the weather broke to have the new damper system installed. That was today. Once again he arrived on time, in a pleasant mood and it seemed like as soon as he said he was going to get started, he was saying he was done and began showing us the new setup. Im not someone who leaves reviews on a constant bases, but when I experience 5 star service I feel they deserve to be recognized for it. Thanks again for taking pride in what you do.

It is easy to communicate with Dale. Something died in my chimney. Dale cleaned the chimney & put a cap on to prevent reoccurrence. Unfortunately, he could not place a 2nd cap on since the 2nd stack has a family of chimney swifts. As promised, he came back when the swifts migrated to put on the 2nd cap. Cost for cleaning & 1 cap $285 & 2nd visit to place the last cap on was $25. I recommend Dale based on his easy going nature, professionalism & for coming back to finish a job.
