This is my first time renting from this airport. The vehicle i got was a great deal however upon returning it, i was charged more on gas than what the vehicle actually uses. I was filling up the vehicle with $15 and upon returning i got charged $53 and some change not to mentioned all the other additional charges which I was not aware of and/or notified.

The worst experience

Car was good nice but service was very bad. It took an hour to get the car from the airport. I booked the car 3 days before and when i wen to pick up the car found out that car isnt ready yet, they sent someone to fill the gas in and that took an hour, i had to go to the counter for 3 times everytime i go they say someone is going to bring the car that someone took 1 hour to give me the car.

Truck was great. Was not told there would be no one in the garage or at the rental counter at 10:21 am for a 10:30 am return on a Monday for neither dollar or thrifty at the airport of all places. I didn’t have a pen. Had to go inside and borrow one from another rental company agent to fill out after hours form. Also had to use after hours drop box to return the rental and now can not get a customer service rep to find out when I will be charged for the rental. Not a good time in this world to be this frustrated and not be able to even get someone on the phone due to no option to speak with someone. Will rent from someone else next time.

Nice car. Easy pic up and drop off. Lady at counter rude and had no personality. The lady I turned the car over to was great. They need her in the main office. 200 security deposit with a Credit card .not a debit thats crazy. Ill be going to enterprise from now on 50 deposit. One good thing was when I returned car My 200 was released asap.

The blonde chick at the front was absolutely miserable from the second i walked up. My card declined due to wrong address and the fact that she had to enter a different address again basically ruined her day. Of course she hits enter and It doesn’t work, again. She tells me her system won’t let her run it a third time. Meanwhile my reservation is fully paid for this is just the $200 hold. Instead of saying she’s grabbing the manager she simply walks away and I’m left staring at her coworker. I asked if she could get the manager and she told me that’s who she went to go get.... guy comes out, runs the card and it goes through no problem.

Car (Toyota Highlander) BRAKE was awfully SLOW. You should NEVER give car with such a loose brake on rent if you really care about safety. Apart from this everything was good. When car going over 60 on turnpike and such a brake did put family over a risk and so taking away 4 stars.

Ive never used Thrifty Car Rental before, but it was a great experience. Everything was so fast and smooth. The Staff did a great job and were very professional and friendly. I was extremely pleased and will use Thrifty Car Rental Gain. Joanne M.

Twice now we’ve had to wait for a car, despite having previously reserved for the specific pick up time. Every other rental agency will give whatever vehicle they have that’s ready but not Thrifty. The manager is awful.

I was upgraded to a bigger suv, and they were timely and efficient. The only downside is when picking up the car the agent asked a million questions where I was going, whom I was visiting etc. I would have just went to the local police station if i wanted that hassle...

Paid for car rental over a month ago. Thirty closed had to go to sister company Dollar Car rental and they waited another 200.00 deposit and they system can not read the chip. Mind you we live in Utah and this was in Pittsburgh. All they could say was sorry. WOW

We left an item in our car. Cant seem to get a hold of any humans to help us with recovery. If there was any customer service, would consider a higher rating, but after a few hours of getting passed between departments and talking to recordings, it is clear that this is just a loss. This will be my last rental with the company.

Worst company, I rented a mid-size SUV few days ago, but they wanted to give me a car. I didnt accept it. They call other agent for a SUV and I waited 45 minutes. They gave me Nissan Rouge. Now I checked their web site, Nissan Rouge is a compact size SUV!!!!!

Thank you ladies at Thrifty for saving the day when Enterprise tried to screw me. Nice people and good customer service.

I would rather walk than use Thrifty again.Terrible experience with Thrifty at the Pittsburgh Airport. Not advising customers about the $300 cleaning fee for smoking in the vehicle. Instead, hiding the notice in small print where no one would ever have time to read it. Not Customer Service - Corporate GREED.Charging customers an additional $15 for every time they use E Z pass on the PA turnpike in addition to the toll charge. $45 Service Charge to use the PA pike for just a few miles to get to Ohio.In the future I will fly into Cleveland rather than Pittsburgh. Or better yet, forget the rental car and just use Uber. Very let down in Thrifty’s management!

If youre looking for hidden fees, this is the company to go with. I was charged a $35 fee because when I filled up to return it, the gas station was 11 miles from the airport, and their policy says it has to be done within 10 miles. There are not a lot of gas stations near Pittsburgh international. Avoid at all costs.

I was overcharged and the car I received had remnants of adhesive from duct tape that had held all doors, the trunk and the hood shut... dont know what that means or if it helped explain why the car ran like it was about to stall out the entire time I drove it... overall, I was extremely dissatisfied and Thrifty had earned their place as the last resort for all future car rentals. It would take some effort for another company to provide worse service or provide a car at a lower value.

Unethical business practices at this location. I will elaborate on the review after the case is resolved, but this location is not like other car rentals, they will lie, cheat and hide information from you leaving it for you to discover after the fact. If you choose this company proceed with caution as you wont actually be saving any money.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I rented from them a few weeks ago. I was travelling with a small child. When I was leaving I noticed a tire pressure light was on. Of course theres nobody at the exit. So I park the car with several folks behind me to look for a lot attendant. After a while I located him and he came and looked. He kicked the tire and said its fine. Its likely low from speed bumps. So, I took his word and drove off. Within 15 minutes we were stranded with a flat. The car had no spare tire. So, I waited on hold almost an hour for roadside assistance. They finally answer and tell me it will be an hour wait for the tow truck. So, I wait with my small child whos weary from travelling, hungry and generally scared. An hour and a half later no one has arrived and its getting dark. I call back and wait forever. They tell it will be another hour. Im now at 9 pm with a am all child who hasnt eaten since breakfast. The person on phone tells me I can ride back with my small child on the tow truck when it arrives so I can get another car. No. Thats not happening I said. So she said I could arrange for my own ride. Leave the keys in the car and my contract would be cancelled. Surprise!!! I get a bill for the full rental several days later. I made a call to ensure this was a mistake. It has. Been several more days and the charge is no longer pending but permanent. Im calling my bank tomorrow to file a dispute. This is not only reckless and neglectful, but its a slap in the face to get a bill after three assurances I wouldnt. Dont ever rent from these jerks. Ill get it resolved, but I felt strongly that people should know what type of shady operation they run. UPDATE: There is no way to get someone on the phone. I tried using Justins method below to no avail. I did get a person or not on Facebook instant messenger who wouldnt give me a name or gone number to a manager either. I plan to tell every person I know and encounter as a frequent traveler to avoid these people at all cost. They dont care about customer safety at all, and theyll charge you for their unsafe cars. RUN, UBER, etc. AWFUL. AWFUL

Interior of car had a smell like someone had been smoking. Paper work was not ready at airport so had to wait in line.Vehicle was in good shape and the rental was good.

BEWARE of charges not ordered!I rented a car from the PIT airport Thrifty for (2) days July 17-19. When I picked up the car I declined the fuel option stating the I would bring the car back full. I also put my initials beside this waiver. When I returned the car I was charged a $111.48 fuel charge. When I noticed this mistake I returned to the front desk and requested a refund. Luckily I had plenty of time before my flight. There is no doubt that they were hoping I wouldnt notice this $111.48 mistake. As for the car it was ok. no better or worse than other cars Ive rented from other companies. Upon checking reviews for the PIT airport Thrifty after the fact I noticed that there were a lot of people who have been overcharged - maybe someone like the Better Business Bureau needs to look into this especially when so many people have been overcharged.

Asked Thrifty car rental manager after they screwed up my rental cost regarding Pittsburgh PA turnpike fees and he stated that I would get billed for the cost of the Turnpike fee only because the car had EZ Pass installed. I got billed $1 for turnpike and $15 for admin fee from Thrifty. This was a complete lie from Thrifty regarding fees. DO NOT TRUST THIS RENTAL AGENCY FOR FEE QUOTES OR ANY OTHER INFO>

I travel often - first time using Thrifty - never will again - their abject admin fees cost three times the cost of each toll on the Turnpike.
