National is normally quiet efficient with a nice selection of rentals. Due to the pandemic, I assume, the selection has been significantly reduced. I understand this, however, on my most recent rental I was a bit disappointed in an additional charge that was added to my bill.I do not select the LDW/CDW optional insurance, however this was added to my most recent bill. This addition was not apparent until my receipt was emailed to me. Upon receipt, I contacted (email) their customer service (twice) and have yet to hear back.Update: National got back to me and resolved the issue. They refunded the cost of the LDW coverage - Thank you. Ill upgrade my review to four stars (it would have been 5 if not for the initial charge).

Rented a car in Pittsburgh and the entire process was seamless.As a member I was able to skip the line, go straight to the cars, pick one and check out in under 5 minutes.The return was just as simple. Pull up, they scan the car, check the gas and even helped me get things out of of the car.Check in was under 3 minutes.1000% recommend doing business with National.

The last couple of times I rented from National has not been a good experience. I used to love renting from them, I NEVER had any issues but since there was a change in staff like 3-4 times I have been having issues. I reserved a premium SUV months in advance, called a week prior to make sure they would have what I reserved due to past reservations where I was told that a certain vehicle I reserved for was unavailable and I could take a vehicle in the executive aisle. The rep I spoke with said she left a note for them to make sure it would be available. I went to pick up the SUV and was told none was available. I explained to the guy that I booked the SUV months ago and I needed the SUV for a family trip. He asked to see my reservation on the app on my phone which they NEVER ask me to see and I felt like he thought I was lying about it. I show him my reservation and then that’s when they started scrambling for an premium SUV. I was told it would be down in 5-10 mins, I ended up waiting 45 mins for them to bring it down. I will be reporting to corporate about these issues I have been having with there service at Pittsburgh International Airport.

When we got the car, the car was very dirty and I had to clean it myself before we could get in it. There was sand all through the back, half eaten cookies in the door, empty drink cups on the floor. I had to vacuum myself and throw everything out that was in the car, then sanitize before letting anyone in. I would think during this time the car would be cleaned better. Very disappointed as I use National for work, but may be rethinking that for myself and my team

I will start by saying I am a long-time National Car Rental customer and will continue to be. I really like the Emerald Aisle concept and usually have had great experiences. I have one complaint to share with a recent rental experience. I flew into Pittsburgh late on July 4 (actually, we arrived very early on July 5). Because the hours of operation showed that the airport location closed before we were scheduled to arrive, I called National and asked if there would be someone there to make sure we could pick up our car. They assured me that since I put my flight information on the reservation, it would not be a problem. You can probably figure the rest of the story - when we arrived, the place was closed and no-one could help us. We had to take a taxi to our hotel and Uber back the next morning to pick up our vehicle.On the plus side, when I arrived the next morning, the on-site person was great - he compensated me for the cab and Uber fees and we had a good rental experience for the rest of the trip.If there was a way for me to speak with the people on-site ahead of time, I could have avoided this nightmare, but whenever I tried the local Pittsburgh number, it went to the national call center and they said they had no way to get in touch with the local people. This is a big hole that National should fix!

I had to reserve the car for an addition day. Calling in to do that was a painfully slow process. No one could find my current reservation, and finally I exclaimed that if that was the case, I should just keep the car since no one at National knew I had a current rental. I shouldnt have called, and just returned it a day late and had them figure it out on that end.Also, the check out at Pittsburgh Intl Airport took forever. I simply asked for a printed receipt thinking that the attendant could print it from the handheld device. Most National locations have those. This one didnt. The attendant told us to wait, and while we did, she continued to help multiple other customers, and moved several other vehicles before finally realizing we were still waiting. She then had to walk all the way to the kiosk to get a printed copy.Typically National has been on their game, but this time...not so much.

Loyal National Customer. Booked a full-size at PIT for access to Executive Aisle. Upon arrival, only two cars in Ex Aisle. Neither full-size. Neither very nice. I took the Hyundai. Higher miles than what you normally see from National. Stains on seats. Faint smell of cigarette smoke. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience. Hopefully this is not the new normal. I have always had very good luck with National.

That remátales car company have competitive daily rates. Other companies have similar cost per day and just in case the customer want to rent the vehicle, beyond one moth, in the 2nd moth, the customer have to be careful about the next month cost, because the renovation is subject to changes, and the next month the daily rates will be very high even when continue using the same car. In that case you can go and rent a car at other car rental company and choose the most convenient.

I have been renting from National for over 2 years. I have yet to have a bad experience from National. The staff is amazing in the Pittsburgh International airport. They are always willing to make your experience a rememberable one. There was a rental company who tagline was “We Try Harder” well National tries harder and delivers every single time. I don’t know if I would use any other rental company other than National. Keep up the amazing work you have a customer for life or when I can get enough rentals to become Executive Elite.

The manager at National in the Pittsburgh airport, Christina, did an outstanding job in customer service. What I love about renting from National is the flexibility and variety of vehicles that you can obtain from the Emerald and Executive aisles, including large vehicles. Being able to use the rewards days for one way trips with large vehicles is also a great benefit.I realize that COVID has significantly impacted the fleet size and variety at most if not all rental car agencies. After visiting a few Aisle locations, its true that the variety of vehicles from the Aisle has gone down since COVID hit. So, it wasnt a total shock when I arrived and wasnt able to find the vehicle I was hoping for from the Emerald or Executive aisles.On my first visit, the manager saw us hanging around trying to figure out what to do since our desired vehicle wasnt available. She engaged us in conversation and after I explained what I was hoping for, she took my contact details and said she would call if something opened up. They were tight on large vehicle reservations so they werent able to help on my first visit. But a few days later on my second visit, the manager recognized me and was able to come through with the vehicle we were hoping for at the Aisle rate. I really couldnt ask for better service and a better rate. Even though I wanted to keep renting through National, I almost had to switch to another rental agency because of the limitation on vehicles. But National and the manager Christina came through at the last moment. I intend to keep renting through National as long as theres a National office where Im renting. Ive spent many years renting from National, and this experience was similar to the others. Customer service is absolutely OUTSTANDING. What is surely subpar is the cleanliness of the vehicles. I had to stop at home just to clean the INSIDE of my 2020 Q50 before taking a road trip through weather at night. It was that bad. Youd expect with so many less cars being rented that they would have time to clean them properly between rentals but that just isnt a priority here.

So for context, I travel about once a week and utilize National often. I have what they call “Executive Emerald Club” status. This means all my information is on file. At most airports, I can just walk to the garage, pick out a car, show my license at the exit and leave.On Monday of this week, I did that very thing in Pittsburgh utilizing my temporary drivers license as I just renewed. Thankfully, I had no problem renting the vehicle. However, on Wednesday when I decided to use two of my reward days (free days you accumulate for multiple rentals) in Birmingham, I was informed by National Employee Tameesha that National cannot rent vehicles to people with paper licenses. I politely informed her that they have a copy of my permanent license on file with my Emerald Club profile and that I had just rented in Pittsburgh with the paper license two days prior. She said “well you ain’t rentin no car here“. Further efforts to plead my case fell on gleefully deaf ears. It really seemed like she relished the opportunity to turn me away. My 20 yr old daughter was with me and asked after the interaction “why do you ever use that company?“ I was forced to respond “you know, I’m really not sure.“Guess it’s time I start exploring other providers. As an Emerald member, I enjoy the convenience of bypassing the desk and selecting a vehicle from the isle. On this particular evening there were only 3 cars available. There were two compacts and one economy vehicle to select from. Typically there are midsize to choose from in the isle but this was not the case this evening. I was fine the model selection but when we approached one of the available vehicles, we noticed that there was fast food garbage in the back seat. So we moved on to the next available vehicle. I walked around the vehicle to look for any damage as I normally do. There was a couple small door dings and the bumper cover on the passenger side rear was loose. I made note of them and let the attendant know about them as I exited. The next morning, we noticed in the daylight that the interior was filthy. The back seat had either what looked like a coffee or ice cream stain. Also, the driver and passenger door pulls were covered in black grime against the gray interior. I dont expect a rental car to be perfect but it doesnt appear out of the two cars we viewed that there was any effort put into cleaning the interior before making them available.

I always use National anytime I am flying. It is so easy to just walk up, jump in a car and go. They are very easy to work with, which is always appreciated. They also have a great selection of vehicles. They are my go to when traveling.

Our flight to Pittsburgh was delayed three hours and we did not land until shortly after midnight. After retrieving our bags we headed to the rental garage and selected a vehicle. It was then that it became apparent that National Rental car was closed for the evening and we could not get out of the garage with our rental. We were stranded at the airport, even Uber could not find a driver for us. Fortunately we were able to call the hotel and they were able to send a van to come get us. In the morning we had to go back to the airport and get our rental car.Very disappointed that National had nothing in place to handle people with reservations whose flights were delayed past their closing. Poor customer service.

Emerald aisle was easy in and easy out. This was my first rental since I retired from my employer, and did not realize the price difference of the vehicle I took from emerald aisle vs what I booked, as usual I just looked on the aisle and did not think about the choice costing more and it was. That was more my fault, but I would think that it should be obvious to the customer.Tolls in Pittsburgh were opened but not manned. I only took 5 short toll roads, but there is a photo of the license plate and I do not know when I will be billed for that. More communication would have helped.

Car selection was very limited. I had a coworker with me and finding a car that 2 full size luggage fit in the trunk was a challenge. Ended up with a Chevy Malibu for 2 weeks. Nice car, but low to the ground and difficult to get in and out.Also, carrying 2 big key fobs in your pocket isnt any fun. I understand the reasoning, but you should be able to come up with a better solution than that.Otherwise, I love the ease of being in the Emerald Club.

Size car I reserved was not available. They upgraded me complimentary to the next size vehicle. Once I returned the vehicle, I found that they charged me $957.00 for a 3 day rental on the vehicle. I questioned it as it was supposed to be complimentary, they acknowledged it and said they would fix it and I would se it in the email receipt. I got home and it was not fixed. I called National, again they ackowledged it but said they cant do the refund, it has to come from the station in Pittsburgh and they would call them and have them fix it and call me back. I have not heard back from the station despite two phone calls with of whom said they would look into this and call me back, neither of which was aware of any communication from central reservations and could see the problem but were not authorized to resolve and would forward to management. 10 days later still nothing. I was an Executive Elite member at one time but this has happened so often I stopped using National and only used them this time out of convenience for the first time in over a year. Same results, be sure to not leave the rental place until your bill is fixed, getting it fixed after the fact is impossible.

I have used National forever and this was by far my worst experience. The rental was outrageously expensive even though I booked way ahead of time. Upon arrival there were only 2 cars to choose from in the Emerald Aisle at PIT. Ive lost my Executive Elite status thanks to no travel from Covid. No one was around. I had to walk down to Enterprise to find anyone who could confirm those 2 cars were it. Why they were hanging out at Enterprise gabbing I dont know. I guess the world is upside down in 2020 and so is National. I got a car to drive. That was the good news. It was nothing special. No choices. It was super expensive. No customer service. No more going like a pro, eh? Ill look for another car company that can handle the upside down world of 2020 and beyond.

Have to say, nothing but a positive experience with National. My Uber dropped me off at the service area for the rental vehicles, and Nationals manager, Chelsea R. was nice enough to drive me directly to the rental area and get me set up. The young man at that desk, Stew A. was also very helpful and pleasant.There was a slight mix up with my reservation, but again both Chelsea and Stew were helpful and accommodating.Hope others have a similar experience to the experience I had there.

The final fee and the price quoted were not aligned. They charged me twice as much as quoted when I received my bill. I did a pick up in Pittsburgh and dropped in DC. I only drove the distance and did not add any additional miles yet they charged me $400 more for the miles? They should have quoted that prior. Won’t be using them again.

I had an issue when checking out a rental and after complaining to a employee when asked on my return they were concerned enough to say call customer service. I called customer service and they said this should not of happened and they thought a manager should know. So far great concern by an employee and customer service to tell my story. The manager then called me to say that employee who checked my rental was having a bad day. This manager had zero concern about the CUSTOMER (me).She also promised to send me an email ccing her regional manager.That never happened! Do not expect proper customer service at the Pittsburgh Airport because its not about the customer!!! I thought it was all about customer service, as everybody has the same cars, same location for the same money. What makes National better than every other car rental.Just hope their not having a bad day.

Car rental prices at this airport for National are extremely too high. Even for a intermediate vehicle I was averaging almost 70 dollars a day. I wont be renting anytime soon because of the inflated prices. Ive rental in some of the larger cities Miami, San Francisco, Chicago and paid far less ona weekly basis.

I rented a car on 14 August at Pittsburgh, PA airport and dropped it off at Erie, PA on 16 August. I used the Executive Aisle and the selection of vehicles was good and the service attendant was very pleasant and helpful. Overall, it was a good experience and I look forward to my next rental from National.

Very easy to use. Reserved a full size car. Checked in on my phone, got to the National area in the parking garage and there were not a lot of options left in the Full Size category, so they told me to pick whichever car I wanted. Ended up in an Executive level car for the price of a full size. Return was very easy, and receipt was emailed to me immediately. Seamless experience.

Arrival and departure were brilliant. Easy and fast as always. More and more however, Im finding vehicles are not maintained and/or cleaned well. I was fortunate to receive a luxury car on this last rental. As grateful as i am, the experience would have been much better if I were able to see out the back window and if the grime on the center console had been cleaned. Additionally, the oil change light was on.

The facility is not organized. The driver of the bus told everyone to go inside to counter. After standing in line for 15 minutes I got to countervto ne told your exuctive isle just go outside and see the guy out there you dont have to stand in line. I suggested they have their drivers change the message they give people when dropped off. They acted like it was no big deal. Went outside to find there were no cars ready and another 10 minute wait. When dropping car off no one welcomed you back or even approached car. They were busy chatting with each other. This is hands down the worst national location I have been to.... i would suggest not using it amd also Alamo amd Enterprise are all the se counter and location.

Got a great deal on their “Emerald Lane”. Paid less for a beautiful SUV than I was quoted for a “mid size” (read small car) by others.Key was somewhere in the car as it started but I couldn’t find it and neither could the National People. But they were so helpful and apologetic that their maintenance people had not been careful where they put it. Stuff happens, but I rate companies on how they handle issues and these people were great.I used to rent almost weekly when I traveled on business but not so much anymore. National is now my first choice, especially in Pittsburgh!

I avoid leaving negative feedback Especially after I have had so many positive experiences with national car rental.This feedback ONLY applies to my last experience at the Pittsburgh PA location. I was really unhappy that I could not return my rental to a different location. I rented a car, then had a job come up on the other side of the state. They told me that I would have to pay $1400.00 to drop it off in Allentown. That is ridiculous. I’ve been renting a lot of cars from National for years.

I was greeted by a woman standing outside the booth when I got to the National lot, she was very friendly and had a great smile. She asked if I needed help and directed me to the Executive selection. Checkout was quick and I was on my way.I did use reward days for this rental. When I booked it would only let me use 2 days based on the time frame I needed the car. However, I knew I was going to go over and would be charged for an additional day. When I called National the kind person on the phone added the free day and I only paid what I was expecting.National is my preferred rental car company. I compare everyone else to them - in the unfortunate event I have to rent from another company. The cars I get are always clean, have a full tank of gas and dont look like they have been beat to hell.

The car pickup on the Emerald Isle was fairly easy, thou there was no assistance personnel available. The car was clean, mechanically very good, and our rental period was without any problems. HOWEVER: when we returned the car, I had filled the gas-tank 11-miles from the return point. I told the National Agent who checked us in that the tank is FULL; he acknowledged this, saying Yes, I checked.... None-the-less, we were charged $39.70 Fuel service.... This will require a call to customer support in the hope we can get this charge reversed.

The process to pickup was nice, as usual. However, I am VERY upset with how the process went to turn in the vehicle. My confirmation stated that I would pay an estimated $172.59 for 3 days (Nissan Rogue). Upon return, I was forced to pay $785.53. I explained over and over that there was no way that I would have rented a Nissan Rogue for that price for 3 days...I even showed my confirmation. I was told more than once that the representative knew that the charge didnt make sense, but there was nothing that could be done about it and I had to be charged. I ended up clocking out from work to communicate with customer service on a different day and, after a full investigation, I was eventually reimbursed for the over payment. My concern is that why would a customer be forced to have to take those additional steps when the representative is clearly stating that he knew that the charge was wrong? It doesnt make sense. As a long-standing Emerald customer, I did not feel valued on that day.

The Dodge van was exactly what I needed for the trip from Pittsburgh, PA, to Charlotte, NC, and return to Pitt. However, Ive never been given a car that was still dirty inside from the previous renter. I had to clean the car prior to our departure. As the van had come from Texas (low mileage car with Texas tags), I had to spend additional time cleaning bugs from the windshield, headlights and hood. When loading items in the van while in Charlotte, the rear hatch froze in the up position. The owners manual did not cover this incident and it took time to slowly coax the hatch closed. That happened twice during our rental. The change oil light flashed the entire time I had the van, but I did check the oil to make sure the engine had the proper oil level. When we called to have the Sirius Radio connected (we did this several weeks before on a previous rental) the rep said he could not do it. As he was hard to understand (a foreign representative) we ended up calling a local National Car Rental number to have the radio connected.My current rental could not have been better! Clean Dodge Charger, wonderful to drive from Pitt. to Fla. and return. Everything about the car was perfect - - tire pressures were perfect as well. Looking forward to this weeks rental for a trip to Wash., D.C.

Was given a toll pass that did not work at toll booth stops. During return was told that someone from National would call me. Never got a call and was still charged for toll device that did not work.. Emailed and got no response. Called and was transferred to 3 different people who each had no idea why I was calling. Said the same story over and over. One of the worst customer care calls in recent memory.

Happy to return as an Emerald Aisle customer, formerly a member in the 90s. Quick, efficient, and mostly nice staff. I was re-acclimating to the process and entered a dirty vehicle and greeted with What are you doing! Those are dirty! Ironically the vehicle I was redirected to was not very clean! Dust on dashboard. Smelled of smoke! Lint on seating! Please clean vehicles better! Can I help you? is a kinder customer service approach! People are tired from traveling, especially if across the country! I rented a vehicle in Pittsburgh, National forgot to put in an ice scraper. I made note to the local management, who apologized and admitted the error. I just wanted to ensure this didnt happen to anyone else.On my next rental from that location, the manager gave me a nice upgrade, and ice scrapper, to make up for the inconvenience. For people who don’t care to have a credit card. We’ll build our credit otherwise. It’s nice to be able to rely on National car rental, as we immerse our families together (Seattle/Pittsburgh) with our growing family. Bringing the older kids and new baby to see the East coast family, multiple times in a year, has been a lot easier. Thanks for making visiting her grandparents and family easy!!!!!!PS he loves your vehicles, always the latest and greatest!!

As an Emerald Aisle customer, my rental at the Pittsburgh International Airport was seamless. The vehicle was clean and well maintained. When I returned the vehicle a week later, I inadvertently left my new iPhone in the car and proceeded to the airport. The alert young attendant on duty who found my iPhone, came running up to the airport doors to hand over my phone! What a relief that was! I truly appreciate the honesty and the effort of this young man - kudos to National Car for hiring such honest and conscientious folks!

Upon arrival at the car locations I was told that the aisle did not have any vehicles. Within seconds I was offered three vehicles that were more than adequate. I took my choice and left. The experience was wonderful. Will continue to use National.

It takes a lot for me to post a review, but this Memphis location of National would drive anyone to the brink of insanity. Upon arrival, there were no cars. None. As an executive elite with a reservation this was shocking. I asked the guy working the counter where the cars were and he just shrugged. After half an hour waiting, I finally had a car pull around (not cleaned and with a cracked windshield). Another colleague of mine landed a few hours later and after an hour of waiting for a car, stayed the night in Memphis, instead of driving the two hours to our client site. The staff was dismissive, rude, and appeared annoyed by the line of people with reservations and no cars. Absolutely abysmal location and I would sacrifice status to rent from anyone else at this airport. Sadly, our clients all stated that Memphis National was notoriously terrible. Avoid at all costs.

The first car we selected had a significant problem with pulling to the right. It was apparent it was not mechanically ready by the time we drove to a local hotel. When we called the support site as indicated on the document we had on the national rental car site, they said we could wait 3 hours + to get a replacement arranged to us or take the car back to the airport. Since we were within a few miles of the airport we took it back. The young folks who where on site seemed to not know what to do - when we insisted we needed a different car, we were interrogated for 5 minutes about when we rented the original car (1 hour earlier!!) and what was wrong with the original vehicle. We finally selected another vehicle and as we were leaving, I asked if they ensured we would not be charged twice for a rental car since there was no rental agreement provided (only a receipt) nor was there any documentation provided about changing of vehicles. We finally left with the replacement vehicle (which proved to be quite satisfactory). The return was seamless - we returned the vehicle 1 day early (with no change in fee - which seemed odd) - and the next day (when the original plan indicated we would return the car) - we received an email saying that our rental car was due to be returned. I was chagrined at such an email. I feel certain we were overcharged (and I will pursue that issue separately). The attendants at the Pittsburgh site for Emerald Isle Service were seemingly not knowledgeable and certainly approached everything with a fast paced - get them in and out attitude certainly not a customer supportive or communicative attitude. I doubt if I will use National at this location again - and I am a very long term National Car Rental patron!!

Blonde lady working the counter at about 3:30-4pm on Thursday May 28th was an absolute disgrace. Being that my fiancé and I were previous employees at this exact location, we know how everything works especially reservations. We tried to book a reservation and she could not comprehend that we were using a debit card and had a departing flight itinerary. She refused to do it and sent us out to the manager who was the one who told us to go inside in the first place. There was a sign right on the desk says debit cards ARE in fact accepted with a flight itinerary. Thankfully the manager did the reservation for us outside and we drove out with a beautiful Jeep Wrangler! Everyone outside was so friendly and helpful. Cannot say the same for at the counter.

Left my sunglass case in the car after I turned it in. Went back to get it they already taken car to be cleaned up but one of the associates went to retrieve the case. I do have to say though the windows in the car when I pick up were very streaky, when the sun hit them was hard to see out of. This has happened to be before as well.

I rented an Altima at the Pittsburgh Airport. The pick up was very easy as was the drop off. And National even had a nice snow brush/ice scraper in the back seat, which was needed that week. The only major problem, and it was unsettling, was that the hood was not securely latched at pick up.I noticed the hood vibrating once I was on the interstate, and exited to get to a safe place to close and latch the hood. It was fine after that. I also had to add air to the back tires; they were down to 27 psi, and the warning light came on during the week after a cold night.

Picked up rental with a low pressure front tire and had a flat on a rear tire. In the rain no less. Had to pump up the front tire, was worried I would have a second flat without a spare. The front tire held long enough to get back to the drop off. Good thing the rental had a spare.....

Good, easy experience. But my rate from 3 months prior to reservation shot up $100 at time of rental. It was supposed to be $200 for Friday-Monday rental. Ended up being $300. They say on the email the rental rate is an estimate only, will vary slightly. A 50% increase is not a slight change in rate.

Everything in life should be this easy. By being an Emerald Level member, this is a completely frictionless experience. Straight from my plane to the lot, grab any car I want and drive out. No counter, no paperwork, no waiting. Ive driven National cars all over the US and never had a less-than-stellar experience.

Upon my flight arrival on 11/6/18 and proceeding to the Emerald Club parking to retrieve my reserved vehicle, I found there to be no cars available. To ensure I was at the right location I asked attendant for assistance who pointed me in the direction where there were no cars which is when the attendant became aware of the issue. Over the course of several minutes there were over 12 different reservations walking up (yes I counted). There was no sense of direction from the attendants to the customers and no attempt to organize the situation. Over time as the cars showed up one at a time and parked, all the customers uncomfortably looked at each other wondering who was to take the vehicle. We were all frustrated and stressed over the issue being that we had just spent the day traveling from all over the country/world. While we tried to stay pleasurable to one another it then became a constant, no you take it, no you take it, no you take it situation. A gentleman did eventually come up and apologize but still there was no effort to organize in what order the vehicles were to be taken. Perhaps a line by reservation time would have been an option. I love the idea of Emerald Club and use it often but this was the worst experience imaginable that can easily be created if the system is not managed properly. I witness an attendant and customer get into a heated argument over the way the attendant showed such a lack of concern for the issue and was not willing to explain the situation as the new reservations walked up. The customer felt as though the attendant was rude and disrespectful when the customer had made his initial inquiries over what the situation was. We would have all been better off had we not used the Emerald Club but instead had the desk attendant designate each vehicle per reservation.

As an executive for many years, I find the selection of vehicles seems to be the same as the emerald aisle. I would like to see more low mileage and higher quality vehicles. The service I receive is excellent. I have to ask for certain vehicles and then the service attendant will bring what I want up. Please stop putting minivans in the executive area. Put more Cadillacs and premium SUVs for us to choose from. Maybe an executive drop off area would be nice too. After all, we do spend a lot of money each year. A little more consideration would be nice.

I’ve been an Executive member for years. I picked up a car at the Pittsburgh airport and the tank was only 7/8 full. I alerted the woman at the gate who told me and my coworker, “that’s the way the new cars are made now.” She saw the look of disbelief on my face and then said, “no problem, just return it 7/8 full.” That upset me, because it’s not easy to gauge that distinct amount. Due to her poor customer service and the lack of follow-up, that airport has lost a customer. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Stay alert, fellow drivers.

Rented a Toyota 4Runner because I was driving from Pittsburgh to Buffalo during the winter. The vehicle had less than 9,000 miles on it. The inside was extremely clean with no odors.The outside was not washed; however there was a note inside the vehicle explaining that due to the extreme cold temperatures, they could not clean the outside for fear of freezing the doors and locks. The attendants were very friendly and offered directions. The price was a lot less than expected (same as a small SUV and nearly half what I would have paid for a small SUV at an off airport car rental company located less than 10 minutes from my house. It was worth driving 35 minutes to the airport.I have rented 100s of cars from National over the past few years. They are always clean, fresh and on the newer end. I dont think I have ever rented a car with ore than 20,000 miles (on 2 occasions I have rented cars with less than 500 miles on them). I have never had a bad experience with National. I have always been greeted with a friendly smile and treated well.

I rented a 7 passenger van in September, a Town and Country. The vehicle was well maintained and it functioned as expected on our trip. I have rented from National Car Rental for the past 20 + years and I believe they have excellent service and great cars. By using my Emerald Club I go directly to the cars choose one and drive to the checkout kiosk. It is very efficient and fast to check out. Great Job National!

Wow! Amazing customer service at this location. Doug and Jordan truly went above and beyond for me. I left something of value in the trunk, and the car had been rented out and luckily they didnt check the trunk. Once returned, Doug contacted me immediately! When my co-worker went there to pick up the 7 CASES OF WINE, not only were they stored and untouched Jordan personally loaded them into the new vehicle. Truly amazing!
