I made an impulsive decision to go from blonde to a darker hair color. I’m not originally from Pittsburgh so I looked very carefully for the perfect place to get my hair colored & cut. I called Oliverio to get a quote and went in the next day to meet Ron. Upon arriving for the consultation, Ron had picked out the perfect color combination solely from my description over the phone. He was careful to go over my color decisions with me just to make sure we were on the same page. In a similar way, when it was time to cut my hair I explained what I wanted and Ron repeated the instructions to make sure he heard me right.I am extremely happy with my hair now and I’m SO glad I chose Oliverio! Would recommend 100%!

Great place for college students who need haircuts/waxing etc. Ive been going to Ron for eyebrow waxing for the past two years and he always does a thorough job! Ive never been disappointed with it. The place is very clean and comfortable as well and very accommodating for last minute drop-ins in case you dont have time to make an appointment.

I chose Oliverio Salon because it was one of the few places conveniently open on a Monday, but I didn’t know that I was about to get the best haircut of my life (literally). Ron knew exactly how to cut my hair and do highlights to get the look I wanted. And he showed me how to keep it looking great. My hair has always been unmanageable and frizzy, but now it’s so easy to take care of. The curls are soft and my hair looks beautiful, hip, and effortless. Ron’s knowledge about hair and style is extraordinary, but he wears his knowledge lightly. He’s very caring, thoughtful, and kind. I’ve been back there since and, again, love the results. I had my eyebrows waxed for the first time here the other day by Ron and I absolutely loved them! I have been to numerous places and I think this is the best job anyone has ever done. Before he started he showed me in the mirror exactly what he would be doing and taking off and asked if that would be okay, which I appreciated because many places dont do that! I was taken almost immediately after I walked in, the chair I was waxed in was extremely comfortable, and the price was very affordable. Altogether, a good experience and I will definitely be going back!

I have had two great experiences here. Both times for a trim and a color. Ron was very attentive to what I asked for and did an amazing job. I am very happy with the style of the cut and the color. I will definitely be back!

Oliverios on S Craig Street is a wonderful salon and Im so glad I found it. I always feel that Im in capable hands with Ron (the owner) and hell always take the time to work with you in achieving the result you want. I know that when I describe what I want, Ron listens and then gives me the look I want. I find it easy to get appointments that work with my hectic schedule and Ive even just walked in off the street for a last minute cut with no problems. I value a hairdresser that takes the time listen to a customer. I highly recommend Ron and his salon.

I have super fine, straight hair, and have been getting my hair permed by Ron for over 20 years! ( I dont know what my hair and I would do without him! ) Unless I out myself, almost everyone who knows me thinks my hair is naturally curly - His perms are THAT good! These are not the dreadful 1980s frizzy perms, but soft, natural looking curls. Ron is friendly and professional. He takes the time to listen to your hair concerns, and tries to give you a result that you will be happy with. Prices are economical, and scheduling is always flexible and accommodating. Its almost impossible to find some one who knows how to perm hair these days, and Ron is the best!

Been going to Ron for years! Hes a great guy and I regularly look forward to going into the shop. Very good at his craft and recommend him to any of my friends who need a cut. Much better than the one size fits all cuts that you get in other locations across the city.

In town for a bodybuilding show and came across this awesome place - Ron was great and did exactly as I asked! The salon was very clean and was very comforting - would highly recommend and now I may be forced to drive 2 and half hours for a great cut! Thanks Ron!

Been coming here for the last 4 years now and have never been disappointed. Ron is the nicest guy and will go out of his way to make sure youre happy with your cut. It costs about as much as SuperCuts and is honestly more consistent anyways! Plus if its your first time, you get $5 off. Theres no reason not to try it!

I have had many eyebrow waxing and Ron turned my caterpillers into beautiful brows. I usually make an appointment and never have to wait long. my stylist moved from the area a year ago and I have had Ron cut and color my hair. I have been happy with thee results. the attention to detail is what sets this salon apart from the others.

My haircuts here have been fine, but I convinced my girlfriend to go, and she came back visibly distraught. They ruined her hair - it was chunky and visibly lopsided. Barber was rude to her on top of that.

I had my hair done twice for our annual fundraising gala for work and was very pleased both times. The styles were elegant and lasted throughout the entire event.

It could not be worse!!!The person who cut my hair has no sense of style whatsoever! I had a long hair with nice layers and only wanted to make it shorter for the summer. I asked him what his suggestion was? In response he said: how short do you want your hair? I showed him. He cut all my hair to the same length. Closer to the end of this cruelty, I asked him: do you have other plans after this or this is it? He said: oh! did you have something else in mind?!!! I said yes in shock: yes, perhaps some layers! Then he started throwing things on the table in anger and made my hair even worse. And then charged me $34 for this vandalism!!!I have never been disappointed this much after going to a hairdresser!

Ron has been cutting my hair every few weeks for over 15 years. Great place, nice staff, convenient and predictable. Pretty much exactly what Im looking for in my regular trim.

I have always had my haircut done in the same place back in my home country. I decided to try Oliverio and it has been great! Now I am worried that when I go back to Spain I wont be able to get the same quality.

This was a hard one. I went for nails. The stuff was very kind not super smiling but kind always asking if I was happy before moving on to the next step.I asked for shelak/ gel but was told she didnt have time. Wish this would have been explained before appointment but I guess I didnt ask as Im not use to needing to. They are a very small salon. Feels like a whole in the wall pub which isnt necessarily a bad thing as I tend to like those kind of places. But for this experience it kinda was bad. Dont expect anything fancy here. I didnt even get a hand bath, no scrubbing under the nails and she used an electronic round nail sander to work on my cuticles which made them extremely dry and didnt really get rid of all the dead skin. However she was very kind to my daughter and I.Pedi, no massage chair. The gentleman did take his time but your just not going to get that finish you might be use to here for nails.Eyebrows waxing I was very happy with.Hope my review helps gauge expectation so you leave happy.

My hair needs are uncomplicated - simple cuts for the hair I have left. that said, ron has been great. he is very accommodating about appointments, and always goes out of his way to make sure teh job is done right.

I visited to get hair colored. the owner/ hair stylist did an awful job. not at all professional. in addition to that, while washing the hair, he drenched my entire back and sprayed water directly into ear and entire back. This is the first time I ever had such an experience at salon. I wish that I had done more research before visiting this place. Pls save urself the ordeal, its waste of money and time! Moreover Ron was not at all abashed or sorry that he drenched me. I caught cold after that since i didnt had a spare shirt to change. Moreover he didnt follow the basic rules of coloring.

I took Bens advice and he was right.This is an asian college student.I had a haircut mostly with scissors.It was suppose to be $26, but Ron gave me a student discount, which is $5 off.(As of now, the price for guys haircut seems to be vary from $20 to $26.)Overall, I am satisfied with the service and will probably use this salon for the rest of my pittsburgh life.

Olivierio was able to fix a tragic haircut i had gotten six months prior from supercuts. I didnt think that it could be fixed without cutting off alot of my hair, but somehow the haircut was fixed, my hair felt healthier, and I lost hardly any hair. He took his time and put in alot of care into my visit where I had never received from all my visits from supercuts. Never again supercuts, Ill be frequenting Oliverios and reccomendimg to my friends as well.

I asked him for a 2 to 1 fade. Turns out he didnt know what a fade was and thought it was just a two. When I asked him to make the bottom shorter like a 1, he became upset and said I asked for a 2 when I said 2 to 1 fade multiple times.
