I like the lighting, and there seems to be a lot of people that are taking their workouts serious not just posting how cute they look on social media. And the staff is pretty helpful. Im not really fond of the Saint Petersburg location because they dont have the VIP in a couple other amenities that the largo one does

Love the staff and dedication to quality here. They make sure you feel welcome and confident! Jacqui is my trainer and I couldnt be happier with the support shes given me. Been going for almost a year now and I cant recommend her enough. Youre awesome Jacqui! Also the gym itself is always kept super clean and while it gets packed during rush hour, Ive never had to sit and wait for equipment. Everything about this place screams quality! Keep up the hard work guys 💪

If a machine is broken, expect a couple months for the machine to be repaired. Don’t get the VIP access because it’s not as advertised. Most of the benefits are completely null after a certain hour anyways. The gym is 24 hours but you’ll have a hard time getting inside because the reader does not work at night you need to shine a light on it for it to scan. It’s not bad but it gets annoying after consistently dealing with it. If you have an issue don’t go to the staff, they don’t know how to handle these problems and they are more than happy to blame the customer than fix their problems. That being said DO NOT GO HERE

Loved training here. Very good mix of novice to advanced athletes working out. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Nice Equipment, good value. Music way too loud and it’s always the same rap. Seems like the exact same song and music video playing all day.

It’s nicely kept and clean. Mostly cardio and static (non-free weight) machines for upper body. Only 4 squat racks and one full cable machine. That area is SO cramped though so don’t come planning to do cable kickbacks or anything with a large range of motion. No real space to do anything likes abs on the floor or mobility / stretch. Cramped even for being a large space. Not terrible, just not what I’d recommend if you’re focusing on free weights or compound movements. This is more of the traditional “club” gym.

Love this gym because how clean they keep it. The staff is great and I really enjoy Caden my trainer. He is Very knowledgeable and down to earth when it comes to helping me learn how to work out. It is also nice to have such a great, 24 hour gym so close to my house.

Equipment is nice and new: however, at the Tyrone and Pinellas Park los many, many active members have been and still are experiencing key fob issues and are unable to get in to gym before 9 a.m.. Staff tells members to just come I after 9 a.m. when staffed and has never remedied their key fob matters. Also, I endeavored to downgrade to the single-location membership, but without having to pay the $25.00 fee. I was told that they cannot do that, so I cancelled as that was free. Bottom line is that the equipment is newer and nice, but they dont care at all for active, paying members at all. Not recommend.

This is a great gym with just about everything you could ask for. The only downside is that it gets really busy during the day. To the point that I would almost prefer a lesser gym, because I would have no problem getting the equipment I want for my routines. But, I have become a night shifter, and it is perfect for the hours I hit the gym now while most are sleeping.

Let me start of by saying this… stop bashing Amped for fees and everything. When you sign up they clearly state which membership your getting wether vip or standard. They tell you everything. The facility is awesome, machines are great. Wish it was just a tiny bit bigger because it can get tight with a lot of people. There are many machines it’s not like your not going to get your turn. Don’t really see much staff there other than up front. Also the smoothie bar is a little confusing to me. I wanted to get one after my workout and no one was there. Also I am a VIP member and it’s a little confusing which people are actually VIP or not. Overall this gym is very good and I would recommend it.

2 mins away from where I live I can ride my bike there and the customer service is wonderful the place is clean I love it maybe I’ll have some photos next year ha ha

Today I went in to cancel my training and the manager was terrible. I loved my trainer Jackie but due to health issues I had to cancel. I handed my medical papers to the manager and she began picking them apart and asked me if I have cancer and where the tumor was. This was so uncomfortable for me especially in a front desk public setting I agreed to pay a 250 cancelation fee even though I had 7 credits. This was handled very badly.

Gym is nice, make sure you read the agreement thoroughly however before you sign up.There are also some borderline aggressive and misleading sales tactics by some of the staff as well; to try and get you to allow them to become their personal trainer for additional fees. But its not too difficult to dodge that.Additional services/plus membership are/is nice, and at $21.39 a mo. (if youve ever worked out at any other gym) this is pretty consistent with other models.Its worth the money if you ask me for the extra services. (However with an additional $42.78 charge for those extra services after the first month.)Nobody explained that additional fee to me ofcourse and I almost promptly cancelled my membership following that charge. However it is noted in the agreement.Cancellation also must be done by certified mail or in person.Again, just be sure to read the fine-print before signing up.On another note it might be in Ampeds best interest to address these concerns, as it seems theyre a common complaint among members. Other than that, its not bad! The facility is nice!

The assistant manager Andrew was disrespectful and rude when my girlfriend tried to cancel her personal trainer. He lied and said she would have to come back because he had a client and then proceeded to sit there on his phone and do nothing for the next 30 minutes. It was all to make sure she got hit with one more billing cycle because she canceled on the first. I then canceled my trainer due to the disrespect and they didn’t even ask why. The gym has decent equipment but is way beyond capacity so good luck getting a machine. There are other places where you can spend the same amount of money and not have to put up with the people who run this place.

Decent fitness center.. better than the typical big box. Extremely crowded most times and not the best selection of leg/back equipment

As previously stated: I was told ZERO FEES for any membership change. I was told I had to sign your paper. I was lied to and then charged $25. Amped Fitness lied. If they actually cared then you would do the right thing and refund my money.They charge you $25 to change your membership. I was told you could change at any time with no fees when they signed me up. I was intentionally lied to and I will not recommend this gym anymore. You cant use the sauna before 9 am ....which is the only reason I was chose this place over anytime fitness. NOT WORTH IT!

If you ever move. Good luck trying to cancel. Word of advice to cancel before you leave.I moved and was told I had to pay another month. Paid another month. And was told I’d be transferred to the cancellation department.Got transferred. Just to here to same commentary that I had to come in and cancel or send by “certified” mail. (No such thing as the cancellation department)Never had a gym have such an inconvenient cancellation process. I’ve always been able to cancel online or by phone.

My husband and I joined Amped fitness couple months ago and its the best gym for the money, and 24 hour access. All the equipment is brand new and they have everything you need. They have shakes, tanning and aquamassage. The staff is very nice and helpful. We are so happy we made the switch.

Reasonable price and a good gym, but the high pressure sales pitch on the super expensive personal training plans is super off putting. They try it when you sign up, randomly by calling you with a question about your account, and even use your birthday as an excuse to call and harass you about it.

Only gym where I don’t feel judged about having a mask on or off. The equipment is awesome, prime machines are top of the line. If you don’t like their mask policy (not having one), find a different gym/rehab center/ workout outside. 99% don’t wear mask in this gym (thank goodness) - Don’t blame others for your insecurities and beliefs, making them feel bad about working out like an LA Fitness. Some of us have normal lives to live and Amped I thank you for supporting that!

About 1 week ago I walked into this gym prepared to sign up for a membership. I had done my online research and knew what level I wanted. The atmosphere was up beat and was a place I could see myself meeting my fitness goals. Unfortunately this is where the pleasant part ends. I was approached 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time by a sales person trainer. This man cared soo much about the add ons that he completely discouraged me from joining. I wanted the $20 a month membership however he was pressuring me a add on services making my total monthly gym payment $100. When I told him I was not looking to spend that much he told me that not getting the nutrition and 2 meetings a month with a trainer I was not going to meet my goal. I was also told it would be wasting my time . I walked out of this gym without signing up. A couple of days later I gave a different gym a chance and their professionalism was a large improvement. I now happy to be a member of another gum where I feel like Im cared about and my goals will be met. The best part is there was no cold sales person to deal with.

Gym is a gym.. but you guys SERIOUSLY need to upgrade your water fountains to bottle stations. Great workout, only to get killed mid way through waiting an hour to fill up a water bottle.

Suppose to be zero fees but yet not only was I just charges for a 10$ monthly membership rate but also a 42$ Guarantee fee?? What is this,? I never authorized this payment to be made by yet amp went ahead and charged me it. Maybe because I just cancelled my membership because I do no like this gym. And this is not a new membership either. This place if a jokeAddition- make sure after you cancel your membership that you Check whatever account you had it charged to. Still having issues with amped charge me when I’m have cancelled two months ago.....shady company is what it sounds like to me!!!

It pretty upset I had to cancel my account to billing company over charges me for I have proof and bank statement every month payment was paid til one month the billing company returned and charge me fee for 15 something already pay then 2 month later I get email I have past bill payments and fee to I call billing and amp tell me there is nothing wrong on there end there was no help from anyone I believe the billing company is a Scam not amp fitness..anyone fo there better check the bank statement every month . It suck I have leving I joy that lifestyle gym.

Let me just say the gym looks nice. Yes.But let me warn you... none of the employees were wearing masks and most members walking in werent either. I understand while ppl are working out you dont need it on but anyone else should be wearing masks.Also if youre not comfortable working out at your stereotypical meathead type gym this is not the gym for you. Very intimidating place in my opinion. Between that and the lack of covid precautions being enforced I would not feel comfortable working out here.

I think the facilities are great. The employees that answer the phone should get in the habit of asking their coworkers to help answer questions that they dont know the answer to instead of guessing or simply saying they dont know.

Great management and staff! You cant beat the membership price. Very large floorplan with all the major categories of equipment. Restrooms, showers and heat sonas are clean. Open 24hrs with recorded video surveillance. The owner/operators maintains a great facility! I work for a service company and have visited the East Bay and downtown locations on a few occasions, my opinion on them is the same as mentioned above.

Ive been with Amped; Pinellas Park for about a month now. I can not say enough about this place. The place is HUGE first off. Lots of machines compared to other gyms & super clean! The staff is welcoming and is always available for its members. Just the other day, during my workout one of the trainers, Jay came up and helped me fixed my form during a squat that i wasnt familiar with.. He was super nice about it and just went about his business. I found it to be sweet and shows that they care. Bad form can definitely cause injuries so it was refreshing to have the help. The more I go, the more I get to know the staff and they are becoming friends. Easy to talk to. Friendly and they dont make you feel stupid if you dont know how to do something and ask for guidance! Looove this place & the people in it!

The gym itself is really nice. They have a wide range of equipment, however, the staff needs some work. Front desk staff doesn’t follow through with freezing accounts. I had to go into the gym to get it done and ended up cancelling.

Love Amped Gym its open 24 hours. It is very clean and every kind of equipment you would ever need to meet your goals.

The facility is great along with the community but 0 professionalism with the staff. Three different times I came in they look at me then I was ignored for the first few minutes so people could finish sending a text message. Just plan disrespectful in a customer service industry and as an interaction.I will admit I did make a mistake and rules are rules but during a pandemic to not work with you just the slightest bit questions if they actually care about the customers who come in.It’s a gym so your reputation relies on staff and just terrible.Baffles me how you want to grow as a company but lack simple service aspects.PS- This is my first review ever, so if that doesn’t say something then I don’t know what does.

The music is kind a old, they should put more new and active music.

Staff is rude and pompas, weights are scarce and have to go looking for them, random late fees (never missed a payment), hard time canceling, personal traing bait is very unclear and non-refundable (lost $300) from the PT and that was the cheapest option. They dont care

Nice big gym with lots of new equipment, and good following of developed people. However the fountain water tastes like sewage, so bring your own if you don’t want to pass out from dehydration. I don’t understand why anyone would choose to run a heath business and allow their customers to drink anything like that.

This is one of my favorite gyms it has everything you need even an outdoor workout area Im always greeted properly and I love the water massage bed that they have a fantastic gym take it from a professional strongman.

First day here at Amo fitness. Moved over from planet fitness because it was closer to my house. Machines are better then planet fitness . Amp is crowded though and the crowd seems to be much younger.

Made it difficult to cancel membership. Charged me 70$ months later even though I put stop pay on them

Insensitive to member cancelations during COVID and only responsive to emails if it pertained to them getting more money out of you. Horrible customer service.In order to cancel, they also forced my husband to pay the following month (okay standard sure) and then an ANNUAL FEE. Just another way to scam their customers out of money. Avoid. Never had such a poor experience at a gym.

Was told this was a no contract and truth be told felt kinda pushed into there pt program, but went with it. I became unexpectedly pregnant and am high risk so i spoke with them about having to cancel my membership due to health reasons. I was told it was taken care of and canceled. Fast forward 6 months now they have reopened after the mandatory state shut down and i am being charged for the membership. When contacted them about this they told me i had to fill out a separate cancelation form which i did. Then was emailed back that this day would count as my 30 day notice and i will be responsible for another payment In the mean time. I have also been out of work myself due to covid 19 and pregnancy. This is my snarky salesmanship. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere

The gym has great machines and great clientele. The front staff is a little lacking in customer service in comparison to the other locations, thus one star off.

I posted a negative review after months of complaining to staff about cleanliness issues and received a message asking about the reason behind my review, i explained the issues i had been having that had been ignored and they apologized and i believed the issue to be over. THEN the next time i came to the gym i was approached by who i now know to be the manager and was told I am not allowed to workout here because of the review i had posted. I was told to take it down or i had to leave. I found the whole thing very intimidating and frustrating. I was told my complaints that lead to the review had been to the wrong people who are the wrong people if I am talking to members of staff? I am disappointed in myself that i deleted the review in order to be able to workout today and I left early feeling very uncomfortable and frustrated. Since when is it not okay to express feelings of negativity after months of complaints being ignored? Why was nothing actually done about my complaints except to wait until i showed up to approach me and tell me I had to leave? I am disappointed in myself for caving. I will not be returning as I do not feel comfortable there anymore.

Cheap price for customers & a low yearly fee, you definitely need to check this place out.Edit- Every free weight leg machine is bottoming out for me. So if you’re 6’4 & up you may have to find a different gym to do leg exercises.

Watch out. They charge things without permission and behind your back. Even when you aren’t a member. Last July, we signed up and paid both memberships in full. We didn’t renew. A month later (this morning) I see two emails with receipts for a $42.79 “rate guarantee fee”. Excuse me? What is that, and who gave you permission to charge that? Of course, I haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone so I will no doubt have to waste my time all day trying to get ahold of people, only for them to refuse to reverse the charges they had no permission to charge.

I recently went into the new Amped location because it was close to my job and I wanted to inquire about getting a trainer. I approached the front area to find Sarah talking to a customer. She went above and beyond to work with me and inspire me to start a daily regimen and i am more and more proud of my body everyday. Sarah is 100% the person to ask for if you go to this gym she is personable and you can tell that she is highly educated in her field and driven to help you get the best results.

Great value for the membership, the personal training is super pricey but I pay for it anyway because I absolutely love my trainer! It works out to be something stupid like $35 for only 30 minutes.

Not very clear on Day pass information. Have applied for it 10 times and have yet to receive email or text. Also if you have a day pass on the weekend can you go after 2 pm. I see staff is only 9-2 on weekends.

Have been unable to attend the gym since the coronavirus and these telemarketers call 3 times a day from an 855 number. I dont have a contract... Why are they compelled to keep calling in such a harassing manner? Im going to review every one of their gyms with 1 star.
