West Coast Dental surpassed my expectations! My scheduled appointment was met with a very reasonable waiting period. My exam and X-rays were completed by a very experienced technician who was also warm and kind. One individual that stood out, Francisco, provided exemplary care! He was patient and calming during my procedure as he explained his progress. My dentist showed kindness and professionalism and swiftness in correcting my dental issue. The team that checked me out in the payment process were efficient and stood my their offer in providing me a whitening home kit. Thank you ALL!!

This has place ruined me. Last 2 years Ive been dealing with a tooth infection from a filling that cracked from eating a peanut butter jelly sandwich. A year later they do a partial root canal and I just had to wait for the authorization. Authorization goes through but they give me the run around until it literally expires. The crown was already paid for too. Now no one wants to touch it because they dont know what was done! This infection has weakened my immune system so much that I cant even get a fever... I vomit almost daily in the mornings for years now. The spread has affected my ears, sinuses, heart, blood pressure, and last week it was in my kidneys which lead to an enlarged spleen. At this rate I am going to die and no one is willing to do anything unless I pay thousands of dollars which I dont have. I just want it taken care of so my daughter doesnt have to grow up without a mother like I did. The fact that it was a peanut butter jelly that cracked the filling is also suspicious. This place is money hungry so if you are low income go somewhere else before something like this happens to you. I just want to be healthy and live my life the way I should. Oh yeah and the infection is in my bone so I might lose part of my jaw too. Overall the way this office works is bs. Almost everyone is rude, they make random and unrelated appointments without your consent. DONT COME HERE!

Rude receptionists cant explain or provide clear information. Had to ask for details on the contracts and forms signed which they had to make copies of the policies for me to take home and read AFTER all was signed and done.After the first visit, I was billed for the treatment because they submitted to the insurance a charge from a provider that was not in the network and was not who I was supposed to see.Then I was approved to get a deep cleaning treatment by the insurance and they gave me a very regular treatment that didnt take 5 min to be done. No numbness nothing deep. I was wondering if they charge the insurance for a more difficult type and just give an easy one so they get the big bucks and pocket them aside.Let me not forget that the wait is over 1 hour after the appointment time.They also want to charge me for another treatment saying that the insurance wouldnt cover without even requesting it. Needless to say that I changed provider as soon as I could.Never going back there!

I absolutely loved my experience. I haven’t had great experiences at the dentist so I was nervous. I really liked how Dr. Martinez explained a few things to me, even though she didn’t spend much time with me she still answered my questions. However, I truly enjoyed my time with Gloria, the registered dental assistant. She real spent time with me to educated me, more than any other dentist has. She taught me things that I never knew before and showed me how to properly floss my teeth. You can tell she really enjoys the work that she does! Plus she did an awesome job cleaning my teeth! I would 100% recommended this location.

This place is all about money the dentist came in she didnt even sat down to talk to me she checked my mouth standing up didnt asked me any questions n right away all she was saying she needs 3 crowns 2 implants etc etc wasnt friendly or polite when I told her I had no money due till im not working she just walked out of the room n didnt see her again I walked out very dissapointed I asked if they could do a teeth cleaning n I was told no not today i wouldnt recommend anybody there is all about the MONEY the staff is not polite either I would definitely contact my INS.

I had an appointment at 9 AM, apparently the first appointment for the day on February 23, 2021. I was the first person to sign up on the sign-up sheet. But, waited for at least 6 patients to be called into the treatment area. I waited in the reception area for about one hour. I waited another hour and 15 minutes to have x-rays, check up and cleaning. For the first person in the office, I don’t think it should take more than one hour to complete this minimal service. Very poor service. Each portion of the treatment were excellently done, But not the front office.

Staff is friendly and professional only thing is the wait time be prepared to wait to be called in at least 40-60 min. Depending on how busy they are & they are always busy. I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled & I have anxiety & the staff helped me through it with very minimum pain.

1st time there and everyone from when I first walked in to the dentist and dental assistants were great!! Very friendly and the dental assistant that cleaned my teeth was so very patient and concerned about my well being, plus gave me great tips for brushing and other tips. I definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for a professional dental office!! 😊

Communicating about the wait time after checking-in is really poor. Waited in the lobby for almost 3 hours(arrived 15 mins before the appt time) just to get the xrays and needed to come back for cleaning. I have been asking them how many more minutes every after 30 mins of just sitting,...they only said, theyll check. Communication and Service for people who has appointment must be improved.

If only I could give Dr.Martínez a negative 10 that would work. I took my sons 3 weeks ago. Never in my life have I witnessed a person let alone a profesional talk to their staff and stare them down like she was ready to fight because of a small mistake.. now the way she talked to me is a disgrace to that office, she insulted me by say they need high end work that I acan’t get. They need too much work, if they can’t stay still I can’t do any work. My son said wow when he saw the dental pick an she walked out of room with out a word. She talked down on me and my sons and she was actually lucky the son I was with does not like confrontations and I respect that, other wise I would probably would of been arrested. I cried of anger and unbelief a “profesional” had an office. Now the park was not being done for free. I have double coverage. I WOULD SAY STAY CLEAR OF OFFICE- but the office staff is great they explain any questions tu have the dental assistant is fenomenal and great with question and concerns.Office manager did apologize foe the dentist behavior. I have taken my business else where.

Friendly staff members but very unorganized. Go here if you want to have your precious time wasted more than once. No, not because theres long wait times after you arrive for your appointment, although it has happened which is understandable now and then. My sister made an appointment on two separate occasions for the same teeth. Why the same teeth, you may ask? Well the first appointment dated for May 24th at 10am wasnt very successful. We head to the location and I was her designated driver, both called a day off work and she called some recovery days on top of that. I arrive at the location with her only to be told that the appointment has been cancelled 30 minutes before her appointment time (the drive is roughly 25 minutes with no traffic) both work day were left unpaid and we drove a total of 50 minutes to and back for no reason. Thats fine, my sister rescheduled with the receptionist and verifies the date and time on her phone (June 14th at 9:00am) clicks save and off we go.It is now June 14th! Its time to brush your teeth extra clean this time to please the Dentist! Lol. Its a nervous day, we got her soft foods the day before and her wisdom teeth removal process is about to begin. Time of arrival is 8:50am and we see them unlocking the door and opening up. My sister walks in and theres around 6 people. Seems like a busy day! Glad we have an appointment! The person in front of her wasnt very happy though, saying something about how Why would you call me to come today if I dont have an appointment Its my sisters turn in line now, she goes up to the counter and shes asked if she has an appointment. Yep! 9:00am! Shes told that theres no appointments available under her name and has been refused yet again! More gas money wasted and more unpaid work days that were called off (calling off that often isnt an easy task) she politely left but was extremely frustrated and more sad than anything at the fact that it happened to her again. Shes not the type to complain about that so she felt like she was taken advantage of.If its an issue with staffing or unavailability of a person, tell us that. Dont go around canceling customers appointments making them go back and forth all over the place, its extremely unprofessional. Honesty goes a long way and today she doesnt know if she lost trust in West Coast Dental of Pico Rivera or simply two consecutive employee errors. They were nice enough to offer to reschedule for next week but no more days could be called off that close to each other and she didnt want to be let down yet again.

This is a terrible dentist, they say they have Saturday appts, they schedule you and a day before and sometimes the day of, call you to reschedule you. Reasons vary from dr had an emergency, funeral or diff dentist can see you however it’s not covered under your dental plan and you will get billed for it. They have done this over 5x to me and I’m not exaggerating. Other times you show up on time for your appt and they tell u they are short staffed and you will wait an hr before being seen. Don’t go here! Find a different dentist, I chose this one cus it’s the closest to my house but for my children’s ortho I will being going else where.

I am a new patient to this facility, the person who took my ex rays was very rough when taking the pictures, she did change after I asked if she was having a bad day and was a little more gentle . The doctor -I think her name is Dr. Martinez seemed to take it as a personal insult that I did not want to consent to paying for a root canal and crown or pull my tooth. She told me she would give me no medication ( i assume pain since I was already taking antibiotics} because I would not consent to any extensive dental work. If I had regular insurance I would not use this dental facility at all, I dont think they have good bedside manner and I dont think they truly care about their patients. I actually wanted to give 0 stars but I could not post this without giving them at least 1 star.

This was my first time at the office and the staff was so nice!! From the front desk to the X-ray tech and the hygienist. They were all amazing and answered any questions that I had. The dentist though was unfortunately not as great as them, I don’t know, maybe I caught her at a bad time but my experience wasn’t that pleasant with her. Other than that the office was great :)

I was told to come for an emergency appointment. I informed them I had just been out of the ER from how severe the pain was on this tooth so they were aware. I came and I checked in and was told to wait in my car and theyll call, cool. After almost 1.5 hours I decided to call just to know the wait time to which they said oh uh, just come in now which was strange. They got me straight back and upon taking x-rays she couldnt get the angle and I was in excruciating pain. I have a sensory processing order, which I made sure to list. For my pain I began to shake and cry and tap my hands, legs to cope with the pain. A worker passed by and loudly asked is that a child to which the lady with me scoffed no and laughed. Another worker informed me that I am older than her. After a grand total of 3-4 minutes of trying and me beginning to cry more they informed me they have other patients to see and I need to leave, my insurance probably wouldnt cover it anyways even though they confirmed it would cover prior to me even coming into office. I will be filing with corporate and BBB for the treatment and discrimination I received. I hope nobody ever experiences this. If you have any kind of mental health or processing disorder, run.

I don’t write bad reviews but this office definitely deserved one. You shouldn’t have to have some dental background before coming Into this office so they don’t take advantage of you, they should treat you for your needs not try to sell you things you don’t need so they make money off you. First visit, they started setting up for two procedures but after I decline a service I would pay out of pocket for they asked me to reschedule for the other procedure the insurance covered when they could have easily done it that same day. I gave the office another chance and went back for an oral surgery consultation and the procedure i had rescheduled for. When taking x rays, the assistant didn’t use the protective shield on me and she didn’t have anything to say other than “sorry”. After, Brenda Debora sat me down in a room that I later realized was dirty and found blood on the suctions. Then, office manager Yessenia Gomez didn’t apologize but rather said they could clean it and sit me back to get the procedure done. After seeing how their infection control was so bad I left. Both Brenda and Yesenia have a bad attitude and shouldn’t be in management positions. Giving two stars because the general practice doctor was gentle and informative. If you care about the cleanliness especially during a pandemic and radiation safety you should avoid this office

It was great, I need a lot of work done. I did a monumental amount of damage to myself, when I was doing drugs for over a decade, meth and heroin. So my teeth are ruined and Ive been to a handful of dentist and this is the only office that heard me and saw me and got down to business in the best way possible. I took and and MJ before going in and discovered I didnt even need it. Am going back for surgery on April, went in for exam on March 27. Im so happy I found them. My hubby did actually. One night when calling around trying to get an emergency appointment for me and theyre the only ones who replied the quickest. They are great, I will update after my work is done. If I dont just assume it was 10☆!

I did not like the service that was given to me by the Doctor. I think her name is Victoria not sure because she went in and did not say a word to me. Didnt even introduce herself, rude! Said I had cavities didnt even show me where I had them. Didnt explain anything to me, assistant came in and said she was only doing 2 fill ins and I would have to come back. Doctor came in numbed me did the fill ins then walked out with out even doing my cleaning assistant came in and said I was good to go I said but she hasnt even done my cleaning and she said oh she didnt so she walked out and told the doctor. The assistant ended up doing my cleaning.

I have gone twice and both times I have had to wait at least 45 minutes before I get seen, even with an appointment. The first time I waited 2 hours. The doctors I have seen have so far been good as far as I know. The office just has to get a little more organized.

Good place and good practice but they waiting is horrible. They take forever to treat you. Had me waiting an hour outside when my appt was at 4pm I get called in at 4:55pm and then wait till 5:30pm while inside waiting on the chair they treat you. Only to tell me the specialist comes on specific days. Waste of time.

Terrible. Front staff is short with you. Nurse was nice but rough on the hands. The dentist, Karen Martinez, is extremely cold, short, rough with her hands and stand offish rather than making me feel at ease for a First time patient here. Would never recommend coming here if you want to treated as a cared for patient and be surrounded by understanding staff with no judgment, especially from the Dentist.

Stay away from this place. I had my apt at 4pm. They took my X-rays around 5pm. Around 5:25pn Yesenia Gomez tells me, all of a sudden, my insurance will not cover me at 100 percent. My copay was $60. Why did they even take XRays? How come they wasted my time. They should have told me as soon as they checked my insurance before taking Xrays. I know my insurance would pay 100 perfect. Yesenia Gomez you don’t know how to operate an office . You don’t do this to people. I wonder how many people you’ve done this to. I’ve been here before and have never paid a copay. Why did they wasted my time?

Very nice staff but super long wait time. I was asked to make a decision about my teeth and procedures based on insurance without speaking to a dentist first which I requested before I made a decision. The young ladies at the front desk and the young lady who did my xrays were very pleasant. The dentist seemed very stand offish and wasn’t the best at communicating she seemed like she was rushing they were very busy but a patient should never feel like they aren’t important or having to ask tons of questions to get answers out of you. My assessment was very quick, I got a second opinion from a trusted old dentist and they had a lot more to say when it came to my dental exam. Makes me feel like I wasn’t a priority at west coast dental

I went in for an emergency and all they did was take x-rays and give a consultation on what I would need done. The end result is they told me I needed extractions and bridges. And it would cost around $12k for everything, that was with insurance. I shared this info with my mom and she thought that was outrageous, so I went to her dentist and their results were far better and saved me thousands. All Western Dental truly cares about is money and will give you results that end in you owing them thousands. I would recommend not seeing them and see if anyone you know could recommend a dentist they trust.

I found this dentist with 1800-Dentist. To present I have been very happy with their service. Its in all women office which Im very impressed with. The work they provide is very satisfactory, the office is clean, and the customer service is very nice. I would definitely recommend to others 😊

Waited 2 over two hours to be seen even though I had an appointment. I made an appointment for fillings and it seemed like none of the staff knew what was going on. Dentist was was very rough and poked my lip with instructions by accidents 3 times. Extremely disorganized.

I had treatment done and they told me how much my insurance would cover and how much I would have to pay. I dropped almost $900 in my own money and months later theyre demanding me to pay about $500 because my insurance said I didnt need a certain procedure. Its been 9 months since my treatment and Im still dealing with the dental office that keeps saying theyre sending appeals but my insurance says otherwise. My suggestion go somewhere else

SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT COME HEREI was told I needed 4 crowns on my top front teeth. I was told Medi-cal DOES NOT cover this and I would have to pay almost 4000$ out of pocket. They ran my credit and everything!!!! Thank goodness I went for a second opinion because I was told Medi-Cal indeed does cover crowns for the front teeth. After calling the insurance to complain I was informed they never even put in an authorization for coverage for my crowns. This is something they probably get away with often!Save your money people!!

This is my second trip to a West Coast dental office in 2 days. Yesterday I arrived for an appointment at the Gage office. I was utterly shocked when the finance coordinator advised me that based on my dental needs and insurance plan (Anthem Dental Net HMO) my co-payment would be $9,900. When I advised I could not afford this was then asked my salary and to apply for a payment plan- but this was after I explained I was unemployed due to COVID-19 and lost my premium dental benefits and dentist a few months prior. A loan is the last thing I need.I was there because a front crown was loose. I was trying to avoid the humiliation of being in public and interviewing with a missing front tooth!When I asked for an alternative was them given the option of paying $3,000 which included the removal of the front tooth- which by the way, their general dentist don’t perform extractions. The patient is referred internally to an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon travels between offices and next time surgeon was due at the Gage office was on 7/17. (This most likely is done so they can bill at a higher rate). While the extraction co-pay was only $115.00. The difference was the co-pay for a new partial.West Coast dental doesn’t work - at all with your existing partial; dentist advised they on work with partials created by their lab. My private dentist had made adjustments to my partial multiple times (and the partial wasn’t made by their lab)I thought I was doing the prudent thing and asked if the oral surgeon was available at another office.The financial coordinator made a few calls and found that the oral surgeon would be in the Pico Rivera office the next day. The out of pocket expense of a new partial was doable so I booked the appointment in Pico Rivera. When I arrived I was advised my file information had not been sent over and the office puzzled why I was there.They duplicated X-rays (I advised already had panoramic x/rays done yesterday) stating Gage office never sent and common. Will this office try to bill for a set of x-rays as well or better still bill me after the insurance company sends the denial?I was escorted to a room only to leave 15 minutes later. An office coordinator advised me that they obtained the referral from Gage and it was to do extractions only. However this office stated they sometimes work with an existing partial created from an outside lab (contradictory to information received at Gage) but they could not discuss or provide any alternatives for replacement with me since the eval was done at another sister office. When I asked if the two offices could coordinate services she advised this was not possible and that they were to merely extract the teeth and discussion regarding replacing teeth was between myself and Gage.Again I sit in a chair pleading for a viable solution to not be in public with a missing front tooth, again to be told not their problem.It’s clear that in the midst of a pandemic, and civil unrest the West Coast dental offices have zero concern for the dignity of their patients. Or perhaps just their African American patients?As a black woman I strive to look my best, from hair up dress to a smile. I took the necessary measures to seek treatment before my front crown fell out completely. But it’s clear there is little help for those now on partially state funded benefits.For a dental practice to extract a tooth- a front tooth and not even provide a temporary alternative is disgraceful.In addition to poor quality of care, refusal to coordinate care their offices are in significant breach of HIPPA laws. The office coordinators screen are visible to those standing waiting to be checked out or inquiring about questions. They also conducted insurance verification stating policy numbers and patient names in the open. Again, are these lack processes due to the fact these offices cater to minorities with state funded benefits and it’s assumed our privacy isn’t valued? In the meantime I will start all over again.

Tried very hard to like this dentist during the week. She is not very personable. The finance person takes forever to get back with you. Staff was great. Will be going to paramount west coast dental.

My experience was great for a dentist visit. I dont feel the prices are very competitive. The personal and very professional attention I received means everything. Everyone from the receptionist whos name I didnt catch to Mary whom I believe is the office manager the X-ray technician, Michelle the oral hygienists was very gentle and helpful with some important tips and recommendations. Overall you could find less expensive dental work but like everything you get what you pay for thanks for everything West Coast Dental. 😁

The staff is very nice. As a company, it seems to have no respect for your time. My 1st trip in, I was in the chair within 15 minutes of my appointment. For my 3 or 4 follow-up visits, 45 minutes to an hour after my appointment.

Please avoid this place. They will charge you for services you never recieve and make excuses for 6 months as they promise to refund you until they finally stop responding. Straight fraud here. They use the excuse that they need to charge you for everything the dentist might possibly need to do and then put you off every time you ask where your refund is. I even got the dentist herself to admit i never receiver those services but 6 months later still no refund.

One of the most professional pleasant experience Ive have ever had at any doctors visit. From Miguel Hernandez taking my ex -rays with a great attitude to my Dr. Martinez. She is a special person who from what I can tell works with her professional techniques but add her heart into what she does. The while staff made a scary experince one of comfort. This facility lacks organization. Too many patients serve in a time frame. Their either too busy or their forgetting orders as well as confusing names when there are several family members.Too many patience in the same times, requires more wait before and during treatment. Their too busy to ask what kind or a choice of treatment and orders you want. We had to return one order due to lack of choices in our orders. They also have so much orders that they forget to order or loose them. We spend coming back for future times or time during the day to get orders fixed.In addition, my sons have been called the other sibling’s name. I’ve confronted them several times about this to be careful because I don’t want them to confuse their treatments.Too much wait and too much confusion to serve patients. I am just waiting for ortho treatments to finish and I done with this facility. Besides, the facility is too small for the number of patients they serve especially during ortho days. Some ortho assistance have even been irritated and bossy when you go in due to lack of space.

I went here based on a recommendation, the first few visits i had here were not so great over booking, small sitting area and the front office staff was not so friendly. On a recent visit, the office told me my dental insurance did not cover the full amount of the work that needed to be done. I was quoted $625... I agreed, the office offered me a finance option, they told me the name of the company I was going to be financed with... well I started having issues 1. The office set me up for e-bills without telling me 2. The used 2 different companies to finance my amount, which meant I had to different Bills with out my knowledge. When I went to ask the office for help, since it was THEIR mistake.. the OFFICE MANAGER told me it wasnt there problem anymore, they got paid and I should have done more research before making a payment in full to one of the creditors!! I am now on my own trying to fix Their mistake! Horrible service!!! No customer service skills what so ever!!

5 stars for the dentists - esp orthosurg dentist. Very nice and friendly. Also for the dental assistant who was so nice!0 star for the lady at the desk who gave my appointment to come back. No smiles, blank face, looks so irritated when I interrupted her from whatever she is doing to ask for an appointment to come back. She did not bother to ask my name or what procedure I’ve been through. And goes “when do you wanna come back?” In a very unfriendly way. I did not wanna come back because of her. And I went on telling her what procedure I went through and my name.This lady totally ruined my good experience in this clinic. Such a bummer.

They dont explain what they are going to do so you can understand and they dont tell you the prices for each thing they are going to do. When get ready to leave guess what you now have a bill for 160.00 when the cleaning was just 40.dollers now your in for 160.00!!!!!!!!

Everyone is super friendly and nice. Good service and reasonable with prices. They dont try to sell you things you dont need. However, the waiting times are brutal. Sometimes up to 1 to 1.5 hours just to be seen.

What a scam...I’ve been to the sister office in east la and transferred to the Pico Rivera office because it was closer to work. First off, do not come on Monday’s because you will wait. Thanks to the staff who informed me, I now know that the orthodontists offer services on Monday and that can cause a setback. I forgot the name of the dentist who saw me but she was a Latina woman with curly hair; anyway, she was very rude to the dental assistant who was helping her and it made me feel uncomfortable. I visited the east la office in February and was told I only had one cavity that was fixed that same day. I also have teeth abrasions and the dentist from ela told me that I should not worry about it until after I got braces and did not pressure me to get a fill. This lady at Pico told me that I needed to re-fill 2 old cavities AND THE ONE I JUST HAD FILLED IN FEBRUARY because they’re “all old.” I told her that I found it amazing how in 7 months I now have 3 cavities and 9 teeth to fill...everything piling up to a grand total of over $1000 that my insurance would not cover. I explained to her that a previous dentist advised me to get braces first and then fix the abrasions because the braces would cause them to fall..she advised the opposite which only solidified my belief that they’re trying to milk as much money from u. Do your research and go elsewhere
