I had a horrible and rude experience with Alma, I thought for sure she would take care of me while on the phone with her 3 days prior, when I got in there it was like night and day as far as the contrast in my experience with her. Which surprised me because I thoroughly explained my situation on the phone and we were on the phone for a good 10 minutes so it surprised me when she seem to judge me and my tax situation after looking at my numbers on my taxes, she even used offensive words saying if you get audited your screwed omg... WHAT? And I had ALL docs and proof if she would have given it at least 5 minutes.That comment wasnt for a part time rideshare driver. She just was very rejecting after taking one look at me and my documents, this is without looking through everything thoroughly or asking me any questions, and she ended it with Im not going to put my name on this this as in filing these documents. What a horrible and Very rude experience. She really needs to get her soul in check.

Been a costumer since 2000, every year I apply for emerald advance and I pay that money back it comes out of my taxes return every year never had a problem, few days ago I went to apply like Ive been doing it, I got denied, they mention that my credit was the factor, I been having bad credit my whole life and never got denied for a emerald advance not till now, I dont understand what happen, but definitely I will go to another tax preparers company Im not dealing with H&R Block anymore I was hoping they could help me out and try to do the emerald advance but there was no second try, I feel terrible and sad because I was counting with that money so I could have a great Thanksgiving with my kiddos, but I would not let that ruin it.Good bye H&R BLOCK.

The tax preparer, Carolyn Murray, was one of the nicest people I have ever met. She was very knowledgeable about tax preparation, and went above and beyond to do the extra tax preparations I needed. She was so polite and a joy to talk with.

That was my feeling of the service I received, and thats was what thought they deserved....

Spyros was friendly and professional. The appointment was on time.I have every confidence in him to prepare my tax forms with accuracy.

I sat with the accountant and read all the numbers off my spreadsheet which he input into the software. I had to repeatedly ask him to update the figures which were incorrectly input on my return and on my husbands return. There was no effort in reviewing the figures to ensure they were correct and the onus was left on me to ensure they were correct. If I didnt know anything about how accounting worked it would have been submitted incorrectly. This has been happening since 2010 when I joined H&R Block. They process seems always so painful and what hurts more is what I have to pay when Im constantly correcting the work which is input incorrectly.

H & R Block made this easy, plus very we enjoyed a very personable and professional interaction with Susan Little.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews (I work in the service industry and I know a bad review can ruin someone’s day) but I’m just so upset after my experience here, and I’m legitimately just hoping to keep others from making my mistakes.They will charge you up the wall for their services and not tell you until it’s too late. I was unaware that they charge per form (and that some forms are more expensive than others) and with 3 jobs and student loans and some stocks and bonds, I had a LOT of forms. The website made it seem like I would be paying about $60 give or take for the convenience of someone smart and capable doing my taxes for me. I ended up paying WAY more than that (I’m a little to embarrassed to admit how much) and the person doing my taxes did not seem ANY more capable than I was. Possibly less.I was not informed about the price until everything was done, and I had no choice but to pay. When I questioned her about it she pointed to a sign on the wall listing the forms and their prices which I missed. I realize this makes it somewhat my fault. But there was absolutely no communication and the service was bad. No one seemed sorry about it they just wanted my money.I encourage anyone reading this to have the confidence to do your taxes on your own. Go to TurboTax. They’re great. Don’t make the same mistakes I did.

Literally the worst experience ever. I had scheduled an apt with a master tax advisor and the day before they called and told me the master tax advisor was too busy and they were putting me with Harriet. I asked if she would be qualified to file my taxes with the forms I had and they said yes. So I get there, and after sitting with her for almost 2 hours watching her struggle to file my forms, I knew that this was going to be a problem. At the beginning I had told her I moved in to AZ in the middle of the year.. she was so flustered because she didn’t know what she was doing that she forgot to input that I was only in AZ half the year. At the time I was unaware and she said I owed 3500 in state taxes. So, I paid them. Once I left she called me about 20 minutes later and said she made a mistake and was going to file an amended return and it would be ready the next day. I go in a few days later to pick up the return and it wasn’t ready. I sat with Harriet while she tried to amend it and eventually she just told me to leave because she couldn’t concentrate with me there. So I had to come back a 3rd time to pick up my taxes. Supposedly the state actually owed me $95 so I was expecting to get a check back from the state for $3595. When the state only sent me a check for $95 I can only assume she filed my amendment incorrectly. Horrible service, and I’m now out $3500 thanks to Harriet. Do. Not. Come here.

H&R Block is the worst tax company to use. Their tax preparer didnt include a W2 that I gave her during the appointment. I paid for Peace of Mind $40 extra. H&R Block refuses to refund the total tax due because of their error. John Broad from this location was as rude as rude can be. Ive submitted complaints with BBB and reviews elsewhere. BE WARNED, Peace of Mind means nothing to them. You will be left holding the bag because of their errors. Their Peace of Mind guarantee is a SCAM.

An unexpected $219 service charge, which I still do not understand. It was just 1 added income, with Casino earnings I had. Wish i was told the charge up front, i would not have gone through H&R block. All other times i was charged maybe 50 bucks. And her service only took about 30 min. Never again.

I wish they gave negative stars because this place deserves -5 stars. They are very disorganized. Tried to tell the lady that with Turbo tax I wouldnt be penalize for not having health insurance and she got an attitude. I will tell everyone to never ever go with you guys and turbo tax is the way to go. At least then I get not attitude because I asked a simple question on to why I would be charged with one company but not another.

VERY LOUSY TAX PREPARATION!I choose H and R block hoping that they know what they are doing but apparently they have no any idea! Not only this tax preparation was extremely expensive but they also forgot to include a depreciation on rental property which is greatly reduces the amount of taxes I have to pay! This is ridiculous. They also tried to sell me a bunch of worthless services but I said no to every one of them. This is the worst tax experience ever! I will never do the business with them again! Ever!

I showed up for an appointment at this location with Ruth Gerling to do my taxes. I explained to Ruth that I had done all of my taxes through their online application other than my schedule C. She scoffed and said well I dont have access to that, so were going to have to enter it all over. I told her that was fine. Then she asked me for my tax documents and I told her they were all organized on my USB drive which I had with me. She condescendingly told me that she could not put a USB drive into the computer in front of her. When asked why, she couldnt come up with a reason and finally exclaimed that it was company policy. I immediately walked out and took my business to a different company. I am appalled at the condescending attitude and complete lack of customer service offered by Ruth at this company. Do yourself a favor and get your taxes done elsewhere.
