I purchased a 7-Day Trial for this Gym and boy was I impressed! Firstly, this is the oldest gym in the Phoenix area and hope they continue their successful business. The owner, Kathy, has created a welcoming/positive culture within her gym that makes you want to come back. Half of the machines and equipment are still from the 80s, 90s era but each time I came in to workout, I found the layout was easy to build a quick routine. The staff and trainers are friendly, positive, and helpful with anything you throw their way. Two things that kept me from continuing my path to buying a membership: the location. While I live in North Scottsdale, I just cant reason with driving one hour to get a workout in. Also, the mens locker room had an awful stench to it.. Im not sure if its due to old piping or sewer water but this needs to be addressed. If you are in the downtown Phoenix area and need a new gym, go take their trial membership for a ride. I recommend it!
This is a great private upscale gym. The atmosphere is great and you never have to wait for a certain machine or wont be pressured to hurry when using one. All the trainers here are certified and know what theyre talking about when they educate you on proper exercise and diet.
I have been going to this gym for 15 that should tell you that its a very good gym and I would highly recommend it for anybody
I really do enjoy this gym. It is really hard to find if you do not know where you are going. You have to park in the parking garage (bring your ticket they do validate) then walk to the next building and go down the elevator. It is a great place if you do not want a crowded gym. They offer a variety of different services. Also if you are a fan of Wallyball if you know what that is! Almost like a private area just for that.
Ive been a member here for several years. Nice equipment and never too crowded in the hours I like to come here. Always have the game up on the televisions so I can watch while doing my workout.
Great gym.... I joined in 1998 and have been a member since. They have everything you need: towels, workout clothes, showers with all the condiments. Even shaving cream for men. Lockers for your own equipment so all you need is you. Very good equipment that is kept clean!! Heavy duty workout rooms for your heavy duty workouts. Racket ball and basketball courts They have hot tub, cold plunge, steam room, dry sauna, lap pool with water aerobic classes 3 days a week. Yoga classes too!! Steve and Kathy are great owners and the PTs are just great too. Bob and Patrick are two that I worked with and they for sure will give a great workout and help you get into shape!!
I’ve been working with them for nearly two months. I’ve trained with many trainers before also in other gyms, but none satisfied me.But, this gym is nice and different. These guys design an exclusive training plan to help you create the area you wish to work on.
Outstanding executive boutique workout facility in Central Phoenix. Great way to avoid many other overcrowded ghetto gyms.
I love the salt water pool and the fact that this gym is not overcrowded like the other ones I have been to. Free parking and its covered and with security . We really hope that in the near future some of their equipment gets repaired. Such as their small, freezing cold pool. Update their web page and monthly calendar . If a class is cancelled please let us know. It would be great to have more of a variety of fun excercise classes . Such as dance fitness, easy yoga, & a water Areobics instructor who would be a bit more creative.
Besides having friendly owners and staff, the gym has more of a relaxed atmosphere to me. There is a salt water pool, steam room, dry sauna, raqeuette ball courts, free weights, variety of weight machines, and on site massage by appointment.
Fantastic staff and a full complement of trainers. Plus the old school full range facilities : weights cardio and training room, PLUS sauna, steam room, laundry service, etc
Best Gym ever, older equipment with great upkeep, the owners actually care about the members. No one is mean, theres no gym goons. Love this place.
I enjoyed my time at this gym. Older crowd. Never packed. Fun place to work out. Free parking. Free towels.
Beware!! They have a very tricky contract that sounds like its not one. And theyre very aggressive in trying to collect but are unwilling to work with you to resolve it. The owner Kathy is a condescending insufferable person to deal with. Join with extreme caution. Additionally, the facility is questionably clean and extremely dated. By dated I dont mean design, I mean old and worn. I overlooked a lot when joining because theyre close by. In hind sight the convenience cannot compensate for the poor facility, poor staff, poor contract, and poor treatment on ending said “non-contract.”
Locally owned, friendly staff, clean environment with a decent selection of fitness equipment.
BEWARE! Kathy, the owner, will give you a hard time if you want to cancel your membership. She charged us with unreasonable high amount for cancellation.
A convenient place to work out with great hours, equipment, courts, and a pool
A great place to workout. The staff is friendly.
Kinda dirty and dingy, but the only good gym in the area!
Good neighborhood gym with a lap pool
Hole in the wall. Old school gym. 3 lane lap pool. Little hard to find, but worth it.
