George was amazing! It took less than a minutes to hear the cut that my husband wanted and it was done quickly and amazing. He was polite, humorous and very professional. He was very pleased with the his hair when we left. Its family friendly, we had our 10 month old baby and it was clean and quiet. There was a younger boy in as well and it was safe and wonderful for the needs. We are talkers and he didnt complain and handled it in the best way. Will definitely come back!! I highly recommend! When I moved back to Phoenix a couple years ago, I knew it was going to be hard to find a good barber. After all, I moved here from Seattle were barbers are king (not tooting Seattles horn but the facts are...Seattles got some crazy good barbers).Anyhow, on my first venture out, I stumbled across Paradise Valley Barber Shop on Tatum and Shea where George used to work. Wasnt expecting much but HOLY COW! HIT THE JACKPOT ON MY FIRST TRY!George is an amazing barber--like totally amazing! In the two years that Ive been here Ive changed my hairstyle 3 times and he has kept up with each one. He tailors his cuts to what you want and delivers with the skill and precision of a master barber.My husband and I both to go George and we wish him success now that hes branched out into his own space; Elegant Gents Barbershop. We were there this weekend and that place is super nice and clean. And with a friendly, happy, and skilled barber like George, getting a haircut is something you look forward to getting.Hip hip hooray for George!Donald

I moved to Phoenix over 11 years ago. Tried several different barbers the first couple of years. Finally found George about 9 years ago and have been going to him ever since, including following him to his new shop. George is a true professional and does a great job at a fair price. He truly appreciates his customers. Always an enjoyable experience to have him cut my hair.

This place reminds me of the classic, authentic barbershops that are dying breed these days. George gives me a high quality, consistent haircut every time. Laid back atmosphere. I always come in on weekend mornings and I’ve never had a long wait. Conveniently located right off the 51 at the Cactus exit. If I lived on the opposite side of town I’d still probably make the drive. It doesn’t get much better than this. Skip those wildly overpriced wannabe “old-school” barbershops in the mall and come here for the real experience at a great price.

Yesterday I was in the shop and wanted to change things up. I had a picture of what I wanted. George took one look and got it totally right. Came to the Valley 8yrs ago and luckily George was reffered by a friend of mine early. Have moved further and further away since I first went to George, and living all the way out in Santan Valley. There is still no question that I will be driving an hour once a month to go get my hair cut. His cuts are flawless, and he gets them done fast. He doesnt talk to other customers or barbers while he works, will talk with you if you want or cut in silence if you dont feel like talking. Whichever it is he is always focused on your hair when your in his chair.
