I’ve been coming to Camelback Barber Shop for nearly 20 years. Even after I moved across town I drive all the way back here to get my hair cut and even when my two sons started getting their hair cut they’ve been coming here with me. They’ve had barber changes over the years but all have been terrific and friendly. Nick has been my go to barber most of those years he’s always friendly and gives great hair cuts. I can’t recommend this business enough it’s always something to look forward to.

Nick and his son Emmanuel are great barbers! Ive gone to plenty of barbershops but this is the most consistent place and theyre very nice people. I get the best fades from them. Definitely recommended.

Been having my hair cut here since 2008. Always excellent service. One of the few barbers that uses a straight razor for the final trim and gives a hot towel treatment. Highly recommend this shop. Ask for Nick!

Great little traditional shop in Central Phoenix. I come here because traditionally trained European Barbers understand my hair (I have an Eastern European wave in my straight hair that confuses a lot of barbers) and Ive always been well taken care of.

Great place for a haircut. Been coming here for 16 years since its been open. Everybody is great and wonderful here. Highly recommended place.

Please Read! #urgentWent to the head barber, aka first chair, and received an overpriced bad haircut. I was charged 30 dollars for a haircut when the barber cut my lip with an electric razor and the haircut was also not symmetrical. While my lip was bleeding the barber made jokes about it. In the middle of the haircut I gave the barber a tutorial on how to comb multi ethnic hair. I had to go back into the barber shop moments later so that the barber could fix my uneven hair line. Definitely would not recommend to a friend to go to this barbershop.

The best haircut place ever. After going here a few months back I will no longer go anywhere else. They take awhile with haircuts but thats because the barbers actually know what theyre doing and do a great job. Love this place!

Ive been coming here since 2006. Elmira has been my barber since she started working there. Before that, it was Maria. There are plenty of shops near where I live but I will always make the trip to Camelback Barber shop.

Not a barber shop. It’s a salon and not everyone is good here either. They CANT Do fades AT ALL but they try and fail anyways. Used to go here until they DESTROYED my haircut.

Tragic. I was greeted by some woman waving her hand from the back of the store to come to her. The woman asked two questions the entire time and I could barely understand her accent. Constant slamming of combs, brushes, towels on the counter (and my credit card). The haircut last less than 10 min and looked awful and she actually asked where her tip was when I didnt leave one. Now to find a place to correct this mess

Damn that women in there ruined my long hair, I stated I wanted a high taper with nothing off the top, what does she do? Chops off half my hair on my left side killing about 9 months of growth, btw the cut was less than 10 minutes no passion at all very dark inside and obliviously not experienced. Avoid this place if you want a fade or for that matter if you take pride in youre appearance. Overpriced as well $20

Let me preface by saying I am newly relocated to the area by way of Florida and I am a black male which is relavant because I understand that every barber is not familiar with how to cut and style my texture of hair (fair enough). I was staying at the Homewood Suites-bitmore and went to this shop because it seemed the closest. This shop is very pricey for the services provided. I came to the shop with $25 assuming that would be more than enough to cover a trim on the top with a shape upon my beard and mustache. In Fl my old barber as well as other barbers I have gone to charged me $15 for everything and I always tipped $5 to make it an even $20. So I only brought $25 as precaution not knowing what to expect but feeling confident that it would be enough. When I got to the shop, I noticed that the prices were much higher than I expected ($17 for a regular cut + additional 15 for beard and mustache...cool. Immediately upon sitting in the chair, I notified him (Steve I think) that I had only brough $25...his first reaction was utter disgust as if I was trying to get over. Ha! needless to say that was not the case. My regular cut consisted of a short trim on top and fade on the sides...light work for $17 I thought..but whatever the prices are prices. I at least expected for the cut to be on point. Got back and combed my hair...it was very uneven my edge wasnt straight and the fade was sub-par. Im looking to move downtown but wouldnt go back to this shop even if I live next door! Plus had the customer service been better I might have considered giving them another shot despite it being out of my way...scratch that!

Went in asked for a certain haircut guy tells me he dont do those kind of haircuts. Every other barber i had seems to do it. I settled for a fade and he completely ruined my hair just rushed like he had somewhere else to be wont be coming here again im not gonna pay $20 for someone rush and ruin my hair
