Very nice shop and great people. I went in looking to get a feminine cut, as Ive always gotten for the past 4 years, but got a butch cut. This was more upsetting because I specifically asked for a very soft cut and to keep my natural lining. Not only was all of my edges in the front cut off but my natural shape in the back was also altered/cut. The cut I received from Jay was very nice but was absolutely not what I asked for.

I moved out here from California a few years ago & took my son to hella shops in the west valley & never returned after my son left looking like a army recruit or a samurai warrior but since I hit this spot about a year ago I only bring my man here now. He’s had about 4 different barbers in this joint do his cut & his fade is always on point. Good vibe, good barbers👍🏾

I like the barber I had a chance to work with, Justin, he was polite once you had a chance to know him, I change my review due to the meet and greet. When someone enters your a establishment, you should always greet them. I know being a female you might be wondering why she is going to a male barber shop, theres a lot of talented men, so people shouldnt always be so quick to judge. I go where the reviews are great and add to so I can promote more African American owned business. Be a platform for our people. But overall I received a lot of compliments due to Justin at the barbershop he has long hair just so you know who it is you are looking for to hook you up. But yes everyone is good there just not as friendly.

I was thoroughly impressed with this barbershop. The atmosphere here is amazing. Makes it feel like you have stepped into a barbershop within the projects of Chicago with that earthy neighborhood feel with pop/soul music playing at just the right level. Although it has established itself as an African American cultured shop I felt at home. Everybody working here has that brotherhood amongst themselves and no bickering amongst them.Would I go again... for life! Awesome establishment and a special shout out to Trez my barber, awesome man with a feel for his gift in hair cutting. Not all barbers have reached his level, hopefully they inspire to.

Respectful barbers, They listened to what I wanted for my sons . They made my son feel comfortable. They are clean and chill.

Dude talked the entire time, which I expect, but then left from cutting my hair at least 4 times. It’s$25 a cut. I don’t recommend

The barbers didnt act all stuck up.The atmosphere was great the barbers where great and most importantly my son loved his hair cut. I was really impressed with my experience. Usually every barber shop I go to they charge me 16$ per haircut I went with my son and we both got regular haircuts like every other barber shop we been too and they charged us/waxed us for 50$ For both haircuts here, where somewhere else they would charge us 32$ for both of our hair cuts. They do a good job like every other barber shop we been too but very pricey for each haircut. How are they going to charge a 4 year old 25$ for a haircut!? That’s crazy! 3 stars for good haircuts but pricey. Won’t come here again unless it last minute resort.

My brother has been going here for I think 6 years and its an amazing place and the barbers are great.Plus its a very friendly environment. However the barber that I got my haircut from back in December seemed new(the cut was bad at first until Mike (the owner)helped him) so my first experience wasnt great but Im going in today and enjoying that haircut (hopefully).

Guess I chose the wrong barber to do my hair. I asked for my back to be cleaned up. I did NOT want a bald fade in the back nor the sides. Totally disappointed. If you dont know how to cut womens hair and keep it looking feminine, please by all means, DO NOT! Plus I got charged $25 as if it was a full cut. Never again!

For an old, bald man, I was greeted warmly at the door with respect from all of the young barbers busy with their clients. Gilbert was personable and awesome. I will be returning... I just wish I was 30 years younger with a full head of hair....These guys are up to date with todays styles.

I recently moved from Atlanta and have been searching for a barber. I went to another shop that messed me up. But this shop is awesome!!! Shawn did a great job. He really listened and did exactly what I wanted. I have found my new Barber!!

My 10 year old son has been here twice and Gilbert has done a great job. My son has Autism, and Gilbert is very patient with him. We really appreciate that. Friendly people and great music while you wait. :)

It’s not first come first served service. They serve who they know first. People will keep coming after you and straight into the barber chair without waiting. They should do a sign in sheet and go by that list.

Only issue I have is that they dont take card. Besides that, good haircuts. The cut was worth the price!

Gwest was the name on his card (I think his name is Gilbert), took his time on my sons cut and did a great job. So with that, we did spend a good amount of time there. Long wait, not the place to go if youre in a hurry. Then again, I dont think any barber shop is a place to go if youre in a hurry!

Wouldnt recommend. Went for a low drop fade, asked for nothing of the top and that i didnt want the fade balded. Even showed him a picture from Instagram as an example. Everything I said Went in one ear and out the other. This barber gave me a box cut and balded the fade. It doesnt hurt to say u dont know how to do something, than to do everything I just asked u not to do. There are plenty other barber in the shop who can easily do what I asked. Last time I ever go to this shop. Im so upset with my cut, that my hand is hurting from punching a wall.

I walk in right as they finishing their clients they greet me i sit down and wait for a barber to cut my hair I overhear the barber tell another barber that he was done for the night then another customer comes in presumably a regular he gets seated before me while I had waited 40 minutes for nothing

I went into this barber shop around 630ish and the website says it closes at 7pm, a guy that works there looked my 9 year old nephew and I like he was disgusted we came into the barber shop and said they closed at 6pm. It is a all African American barber shop so I don’t know if it was because we look white or if they are just rude to all their customers. I do not recommend this place to anyone, very sad they treated us like that in front of my nephew.

Great place to work if in a hurry please call ahead of time schedule an appointment. Any of the barbers will gladly get you in.
