Great place but they make you sign up for their insurance for the first month. Fine it’s only $12. They will also raise your rate by 10-20% in the first year which usually happens after 6 months which is not discussed.

Rented in the North Phoenix location. Great rental rates and nice place, but they dont tell you about needing to bring proof of insurance with you in order to get the unit. They they try and up sell you their insurance at $12 per month, unless you can get your agent on the phone and get the declarations page immediately. Seems like they could/would have mentioned this when setting up the appointment. Quite a revenue driver Im sure. I sat on the phone with State Farm until they emailed it over, what a pain. Other places pull the same stunt, not very customer friendly in my opinion.Otherwise outstanding place.

This review is specifically for Angel. Every time I have had to come into the office or had a question, I have always been met by Angel, I’m pretty sure he works all the time. Every time I have met him, I am greeted by the upmost smile and kind faces I have ever met, and he goes above and beyond in every instance.On Wednesday of last week, I had a flat tire on my trailer and needed it changed. Angel was great! He explained everything to me concerning the different units and then took the time to show me each one. The facility is bright and clean. Angel did not complain about me trying to price match units and locks. If you need a unit storage place this is the place to come.

We have 4 large units weve rented for the past 19 months. This year alone we have had 4 price increases totalling $60+ each. The manager says pricing reflects the current market conditions and all pricing is handed down from corporate and he can do nothing to help. Its a super nice storage facility and everyone that works there is nice but as often and as much as they go up Im very close to not be able to afford staying.*YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED*

You realize CubeSmart is a real company not just a small outfit running a few garage units as soon as you call or walk in the door.. April as well as the rest of the staff have all the professionalism to meet your needs. Long or short term. We liked them so much I even asked April to let me know right when one of their hard to secure professional office suites becomes available. They do these too. If you have a storage need go see/call April (now at the Surprise location. However she can help you with all the other location too) for help. She will take care of you with no problems attached!

I moved here in Nov from Illinois and found this unit that was climate controlled which is great considering how hot it will get. When I was ready to move out they were very friendly and closing out my account went smooth! If you are looking for a storage facility I would definitely recommend this one!

We have had a storage unit for quite some time here and it is fantastic. Whole place is super clean and I love that in the summer I can pull my truck inside to the air conditioning to unload whatever I have. We just switched to a bigger unit and the staff was very friendly and helpful as usual. Would recommend cubesmart to everyone.

Nice clean facility, the cleanest, unfortunately they doubled my rent for a little 5x5 from $29 to $60. When they found that my contract did not have that increase clause, they corrected all the charges and returned my rate to $30. If you are clear as what to expect with rates and how they might change, this is the best storage around. I highly recommended this place.

The staff were extremely courteous and thorough. I needed to be reminded several times about the security codes, gates and elevator. They were patient with me every time. During a routine walk thru, one staff member realized that I had not properly locked my unit. She immediately called, notified me, and kept an eye on my storage unit until I arrived. Quality customer care!!

The establishment itself is nice and clean and it appears to be secure as you have to type in a specialized code to enter almost every door. What turned me off about this place is all the costs were not up front. I reserved my unit online and was given one price. When I got there the day of move in I was told that I needed rental insurance and I had to buy one of their specialized locks for the unit. This isn’t explained anywhere on the website or the reservation receipt. The wrong unit was also registered to me when I got there resulting in a higher monthly. I was told this was going to get rectified, but I have a feeling I’ll need to follow up with that.

Think twice!!! CubeSmart claims to be friendly and customer oriented. This is not the case. The staff is rude. The district manager is incompetent and doesnt even answer his phone or voicemail. The building used to be good but now it is dirty and not maintained properly. They have had 3 break-in issues in the past 2 years. Ask management, but dont expect a friendly experience.

Reservation was easy to make and didnt require credit card information. Angel was extremely nice and personable. Facilities are clean, well lite and safe day or night.

I am extremely frustrated with the lack of service. Of course, all they offer is excuses. NO EXCUSES!! Staff your desk and answer your phone, DURING BUSINESS HOURS. Its that simple!!!

I had a scheduling issue with my online order. When I failed to received a confirmation email, I called the facility and the manager, Paul Wagner took care of it for me. He took advantage of the opportunity to explain the benefits of their facility. It all sounded great; but with any long distance reservation, you never know EXACTLY what youll get until you get there!We then drove 7+hours in a 26 truck packed to capacity and arrived early afternoon on a Friday. Kevin Boylen was working the desk at the time. He found my reservation and toured me through the air-conditioned facility to inspect the unit. He shared pros of each respective unit and identified an over-flow space in close proximity, should our items exceed one unit. The tour and associated paperwork obviously took some time to complete; and in the interim, Kevin ensured we were able to move the truck into the air-conditioned loading area while our order was being processed.The facility is everything promised and then some. It is clean and well lit. The elevators are large, in an uncongested area, and operate at a fast pace. There are abundant industrial strength carts available for free. At the time of our move in, there were 3 trucks being unloaded and CubeSmart provided sufficient equipment for all. Our move in was fast and efficient. There were clean restrooms available and cold water was repeatedly offered. Overall, an EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE.

Facility is understaffed. I arrived at 10am on a Saturday morning only to find the doors locked while the onsite manager was working somewhere in the building. I waited 30 minutes in the parking lot for the onsite manager to open the office and rent me a unit. Very frustrating. Then I am told there is a $12 dollar/ month charge for insurance which was not previously disclosed. You cannot decline this insurance, even if your homeowners policy covers the storage unit. Other storage places (Uncle Bobs) will let you decline this insurance if you provide a copy of your homeowners policy but not at Cubesmart. And by the way, the Cubesmart brochure states that you are not required to buy insurance, but when I pointed this out, the manager said she didnt know why it said that, but that buying their insurance was mandatory. Not good.
