I was quoted 1300 for a thermostat replacement from 3A auto care off Hatcher and 15th Ave.. I was shocked at how much the cost was. I called around and found a thermostat replacement was no more than $375 at North Mountain Auto Repair and Fleet. The second the phone call was answered I knew this was the place to take my car. Nicole was extremely informative, Gave money saving tips, and assuring that service I would be getting there would be nothing less of quality… i brought my car in today and Service was fairly quick, price was 3 times less than what I was originally quoted for with at 3A Auto, and the quality of service surpassed expectations. No upselling, no trying to tell you that you need something at the moment that could be fixed another time. No wonder why this place has a 5 star rating. You tracked down an oil housing unit (for our Dodge Caravan) on a huge backorder and fixed the DVD player, among other items. The van is running like new, the kids are happy and so are we. This place was recommended to me and I wasnt disappointed. Everyone super friendly. My first service was a replacement of both bumpers. Philip (owner) did a full inspection and sent me everything to review (included severity levels, pictures, quotes, and authorize/deny service) on my phone. Price was less than the insurance quote (good because I ended up paying out of pocket vs insurance claim) and I was really impressed with how well a mechanic shop did on the body work and paint matching considering the car is 6 years old and red. My second visit was an oil change and tail light replacement and it was a really great price! Will definitely be back. Thanks!

After moving cross-country back to Phoenix, I needed some repairs on my C-RV. I decided on North Mountain after checking reviews and was very pleased. The first go-round, they take pictures of any issues and categorize how important any suggested repairs are based on your safety and how much more they honestly think you can get out of a part. I knew my car was a bit neglected after saving for a house and move, but the staff was very helpful in talking through which items they really thought should be repaired.Second time around, my check engine light came on with a new issue and they identified the solution quickly (needed new catalytic converter). I called before going back in and Phillip was really helpful with insights and numbers on repairing an aging car versus buying newer. They take an honest look at your vehicle and give you the best information they can to help you make a good decision about your car. Even when I had a higher quote the first time, they knew I probably didnt want to spend a lot of money and worked with me to identify what was needed now and what could wait.No shady pressure or sales tactics with this crew!

As a young female with limit resources in regards to auto repair it’s important to me that I have a mechanic I can trust. I had been to various places and hated the feeing that I had to double check all information and prices. That all stopped when I found North Mountain. I can call them with any issues and the owner will take time out of his day to show me the errors and wake me through all options. He will share his professional opinion when I ask for it but he always is transparent and never pushy. They have earned my loyalty and if you’re looking for a new shop there’s nobody I would recommend more.

Took in my Mercedes Benz Sprinter 2500 van camper. Philip was very transparent, told me everything that needed to be serviced/replaced and changed the fuel filter all in half a day. This shop will be my go-to if I’m ever in Phoenix again.

Phillip is the most amazing Mechanic you are sure to ever meet!! He is not only 100% knowledgeable at his trade but he is also kind and provides the type of customer service that is second to none!I drove from Prescott to the place I purchased my car from due to it having an issue. Before I arrived I had understood the work on my vehicle would be done within the same day unless it was serious, come to find out it would not be looked at until Monday. Phillip noticed I had my 8 month old and 4 year old babies with me and he instead put me at the top of his list and fixed my car right away within an hour. Now it drives like a dream!While we were there he put on a kids movie of my daughter’s choice and offered us water. He made us feel completely comfortable while he was working on our vehicle. As well as It was the cleanest and nicest mechanic shop lobby I have ever seen in my life. Even the bathroom was very clean! Phillip is more than a great mechanic, he is truly a kind person who is more than just helpful at fixing vehicles, he provides the level of customer service which one will always be remember. I love getting my car repaired here! As someone who doesnt really know a lot about cars, Ive always felt that Phillip explained everything clearly to me and never pressured me into getting super expensive repairs that my car doesnt really need (very different from my experience with the car repair place right next to my apartment, where everyone acted like an expert and tried to convince me to spend tons of money on replacing my struts, which actually do not need to be replaced yet). At North Mountain Auto they dont have fancy facilities, but they do have expertise and honesty, which matter a LOT more. I would seriously recommend this place to anyone. Also, they actually have books in their waiting room by Ray Bradbury and other great American authors instead of just magazines, which I think is awesome.

Outstanding service. North Mountain was recommended by a company that didnt have the tools needed to do what they said I needed done. When I contacted North Mountain I was impatient and fed up, having dealt with two different auto mechanics before them. They showed nothing but respect and patience as they did only the work I asked them to do. Even after it was found that the work I was so positive needed done was not the real problem, they showed nothing but respect. They not only were prepared to do the work needed but provided the means for me to be able to afford it. My 2003 Ford F150 runs better now than when I bought it 3 years ago and it costed nearly $2000 less than I was told by another mechanic. I will not take my truck anywhere else moving forward. Had my car towed here to have a diagnostic run. They gave me a very clear and detailed report on everything my car needed. I talked with phillip and explained i didnt have the money to fix everything on the car and he explained to me the work that was critical and what could wait. They do honest work and they work fast. Took my car their to have my alternator replaced. Philip, the service rep, greeted me and I told him what the issue was. He said he would check it. He was very courteous and professional. Philip takes the time to go over the whole vehicle, then sends a list of things (with pictures) that need to be fixed from small to large. The customer is able to choose which services they want. Ive never seen that any where else. He also follows up with repairs. Very professional shop!

I am so glad I followed the recommendation of an acquaintance and had my car repairs done by North Mountain! Phillip took care of all my repairs and I saved a few hundred dollars vs other places I received quotes. Its a small shop with very personalized service. Up to this point, I had always brought them to dealership service centers for maintenance and repairs. All I can say is that I am very glad I discovered North Mountain. Apparently a family of weasels took up residence inside my engine, and whenever I turned on the ac, they would get all caught up in the machinery & screech like..... well, like weasels caught in an engine block. So I drove without ac for a year, not because of my concern for the animals trapped under the hood, but just so I didnt have to hear that horrific noise.I had family recently visit from out of town, and they talked me into getting it fixed, even offering to pay for the repairs. So I brought it to Brandon after reading the good reviews hed gotten from satisfied customers. Plus he was within walking distance of my house in case I had to leave the vehicle there for an extended time while they got rid of all the weasels. Amazingly, there werent any weasels at all, merely a loose belt, which his tech tightened for me in 5mins. I spent more time chatting with Brandon than was spent working on my truck. It cost me little more than lunch for a couple people, and I now have cold air blowing in my face.And no weasels.Thanks B, Ill B back!

She was extremely helpful, professional, listened carefully and reassured me. When I brought my car in, I was impressed by seeing the mechanics very focused on their work. Nicole knew who I was and what I was there for. They gave me an estimate before doing the work and it was extremely reasonable. They even did a full inspection of my car. This is a rare find, an honest place, and excellent workmanship.
