Worst experience ever! They charged me 300+ dollars to fix my car cause it was overheating and I had to bring it back 8 days later for a different problem (allegedly) then charged 600+ for that a week later my check engine light came back on and I couldn’t pass emissions I contacted the shop and they had the audacity to try and tell me it must be a different problem how would I have problems arising weeks apart from each other and then the owner OFFERED to waive the diagnostic fee since this will be my third time having to bring the car in and I’ve paid about a 1000 in repairs and the owner called back to tell me he wasn’t gonna waive the fee because “the chk engine light was on when they finished the wk” that is correct but it came back on 10 days later so what wk did you do ?these people are crooks they are taking advantage of people who aren’t educated Bout car maintenance and repairs I’ve recently contacted the BBB and Attorney General cause I feel robbed I’m a single mother of 4 and I don’t have money to continue throwing away this isn’t right

My sons car was practically totaled. Raul did an amazing job putting it back together and working perfectly. The job came on on time and on budget. No issues.If you have an electrical problem, this is the place to go. Raul is an expert in diagnosing engine and electrical problems.Excellent customer service is always on top of his list.

I gave them my quote from firestone, and they gave me the same price without even looking at my car. I Ended up going to Mighty Automotive instead, and they told me half of the stuff on my list was bogus up selling and the parts were fine. They might do good work, but Ill never know.

This shop was a great pick for me. I had just bought a Jetta and I replaced every suspension piece attached to the wheels. After I preformed the work I needed to get my alignment adjusted. I got in touch with John at the shop and he had everything set up and ready to go. In less than two hours the car was complete and ready for pickup. The pricing was more than fair. I paid $70 for the alignment. They handed me the computer diagnoses. I had no idea what I was looking at. They got the tech whose name is Chris to help me understand the diagnoses. He was very nice and well informed. Last but not least, the best part of the shop are all the classic vehicles they had in the garage. Beautiful vehicles.

My husband and I were in Phoenix on a Saturday and Sunday for business. We drove in from Boulder City, Nevada. Not far from Phoenix Friday night we noticed a vibration in the car that wasnt right. We asked at our motel desk about a local mechanic and were referred almost next door to J&R who were already closed for the evening. We went over Saturday morning and they were already booked solidly for the day but said that they would work our car in to look at it and give us an idea about what might be wrong. They called us back within a couple of hours with a list of problems and the total fees for the various repairs and the urgency or lack of same for each. We had to leave town the next day so there wasnt time for them to do the most important repair, but if there hadnt been a time constraint, we totally would have used this company. The service and professionalism was outstanding. While my husband was in his meeting, I went back to get my car and Robert showed me on the undercarriage and under the hood exactly what the problems were and gave me a list of the repairs to take home to my local mechanic. The time and care explaining these things to me was indicative of superior service and honesty. All of this time and service for under $50. This was the best deal in Phoenix in my book. I wish I lived there just to be near these guys.

John & Raul are outstanding guys. Not only did Raul do excellent welding work on our car at short notice, they gave us a Military discount, and helped us out in a pinch while the car was being worked on. Highly recommend this shop. Check them out first; you won’t be disappointed.

I just walked back my 1 star review and changed it to 4 stars. While I had to return because the part put in my car was faulty, at no fault of J&R, they replaced the faulty part of course free of charge, but then went above and beyond that and replaced the worn cables leading to that part, free of charge. Thats awesome and my car, by the way has over 500,000 miles on it, is still going strong. Thank you J&R for redeeming yourself in my eyes. I do still think, as it was in the past, that any charge for diagnostic should go toward the repair. Something you may want to clarify from the start. Raul is the best mechanic in town, without a doubt. As he cant be everywhere, I trust he hold his entire shop up to his high standards. Thanks again J&R for keeping my old girl safely on the road! I was very happy with the way I was treated by John, one of the owners. He talked me out of paying 95.00 for Diagnostics because he didnt feel I needed to spend that money if only the :wrench light was coming on and the car was running well. He stated that Raul, the other owner and the main mechanic, has extensive knowledge in the care of domestic and foreign autos that, he will be able to tell what my car needs by checking my car out and using his extensive visual experience to see what is needed.Anthony kindly drove me home while they got to my car and stated they would also pick me up to get my car.I was extremely happy with the care and attention I received. Being an older woman and disabled, I appreciate very much having a mechanic I can trust. I know they are the ones I will always go to for the care of my car. I highly recommend these auto specialists: especially to women who are tired of being treated less than a man and that need to trust someone in the care of their vehicle.

J&R Auto is the best shop I have ever delt with. Their quality of work speaks for itself and is even better than taking a car into a dealership.I have been taking all my vehicles to them for work and have had the best quality of work every time. I highly recommend this company to anyone.

I had to suddenly find a new auto tech for my 2000 ford ranger. I love my little truck and have taken excellent car of her since I drove her off the lot. In return, shes been equally loyal, so she deserved someone trustworthy. I had driven by JRs since they opened in this location, so I realized from the array of historical/collectable cars in his lot, that this might be the place. Afterall, whos going to spend big money restoring their cars, only to turn them over to an...(inappropriate word).They have met my expectations.

I was going to write a long statement of thier horrible service but I will just make a list.Lost all my information after talking to the owner John.Rude demenor when I arrived.Called me to tell me what was wrong with the vehicle and was pushy to get me to get it fixedAfter I told them Id call him within 30 minutes he called me back first..When I picked up my vehicle he was SMOKING inside the lobby where there was a child present.The main issue is he said I needed 1600 worth of work with the main repair being around 1000 . Ive had two other shops look at it and I DO NOT need that repair on my vehicle. What a scam.

A Rip off!! I went to go get my brake pads replaced and they said it was going to cost around $500 to replace. So instead they charged me $100 just look at my brake pads!! They didnt even care to replace the brake pads at all!!! This is some B.S!!!
