John at Elliotts is great. I took my Chrysler 300 to several mechanics including the dealership with NO answers. John had my car diagnosed and repaired within the same week it was dropped off for a lot less than I planned on paying. Friendly, professional, they get it right.

My first real job as a kid 45+ years ago was at Jerry Boyd’s Chevron and later Exxon pumping gas for full service customers and helping with car repairs. If a customer bought gas, they got all their fluids checked, tires aired and windows washed. Jerry always had around 6 full time highly experienced mechanics with more work than they could complete because people knew Jerry was honest and his crew did good work at a fair price. When we had a problem we couldn’t figure out, we took the vehicle to Elliot’s to resolve it. I’m glad Elliot’s is still going but sadly my feeling is they’re just hanging on because all these big shop chains where many of the mechanics are “so so” and many managers are ticket and dollar driven dot Cave Creek Road nowadays and COVID-19 certainly hasn’t helped. These guys work on anything including cars from the auction block and vintage any car. John is a straight shooter. Sometimes they have to keep my cars longer than I’d like but they just fixed an emission issue (2000 Camry) nobody and I mean nobody in 8 years was able to repair. They rewired the burned wiring from a failed/shorted headlight switch (1977 Porsche 911) which is a lot of wiring for under 2k. I hope I’m wrong about them “hanging on”. Support this business. These guys service my 2009 BMW 328 and they have served me very well. My car has performed very well since the last tune up. James is an excellent mechanic and John is a knowledgeable and friendly auto consultant to review what needs to be done and to keep you posted on progress. James and John won’t let you down! Most recently, they installed a new bumper on my car that I ordered from elsewhere and had painted elsewhere. I’m very pleased with their work!

Took my 01 Silverado to three different shops before taking it to elliotts they had it fixed three days later and charged me 1/8th of what any of the other three shops charged me and they actually fixed it. Highly recommend

Do not take your car to this facility. We had brought our vehicle in to take care of warranty work from a previous repair done. Three weeks later the vehicle had not been touched, no communication regarding status and reason why. Finally decided to pick up the vehicle because three weeks was to long, and the battery was dead. Sad place of business, you were warned!

This shop specializes in electronics. They helped me fix my Lexus alternator problem. They were able to identify issue and offer two solutions right way. Thank you for your help.

They wanted to charge us $700+ to install a computer that we found for $225, that is located on the sidewall and easy to replace. When we went to pick the truck up they tried to charge us $190 for the diagnosis they originally said would cost $110! Be careful it seems they may be a little shady!

I very rarely write reports on a company but I was so dissapointed with the job done / not done, I decided to share the story. We took our SUV in because the battery kept dying . Id bought a new battery and was still having the same problem. They UNFORTUNATELY Could not find any problem. They kept our car for a few days and charged us $290.00About a week and a half later the car battery was drained and would not start. This time I had it towed back to the shop. This time they kept it for over a week, they decided it was a problem in the rear a/c causing a drainage and took every thing apart to get to it. Then they decided it was not the A/C problem it was the main control panel on the drivers door. They were very GRACIOUS this time and took two hours labor off from the first visit where they were unable to locate the drainage problem. This time I only had to pay $461.00. When I went to pick it up I received the sad news that the drainage problem was fixed but the a/c compressor was out . They offered to fix it for a mimimum of another $700.00 plus dollars. I opted to take it to another mechanic for $400.00. Then we discovered that the air is blowing constantly in the back and the control switch does not work. I called back admittedly quite upset. I took the car back again and was told they would correct the problem (which I believe they caused) . The next day I was told the car was ready, I called back and asked if it was fixed now? I was told no its as good as we can do without replacing the actuater if you woul like us to replace that part it will cost approx. $300.00. I asked if the A/C was at least blowing in the back and was told no we left it disconnected. So kind of a long story but here we are. I had to request that they reconnect the back air. And now I will pay someone else to fix it. I must say they are very polite about everthing but if you need even a relay switch better take a few thousand dollars with you, heaven knows what will happen to it UNFORTUNATELY while in their posession. GOOD LUCK

Theyre great at what they do

Do not go Elliotts for auto electric repair. They are uneducated and dishonest. My car was there for over 3 months, had to take it back from them because they didn’t know what was wrong, and I got it back in worse shape than it was delivered. They also lied about the cost and I paid thousands for diagnostics.The mechanics are unable to troubleshoot the simplest Chevy 350 issues. It turns out that I know more about cars than they do. I saw them calling other shops for advice every month I came in to check on why my vehicle wasn’t fixed. They broke my locks (delivered working) they blew a in line fuse to fan (delivered working) and the temperature sensor was switched with the knock sensor. And they set the timing at -20 Degrees! Chevy 350 timing is supposed to be approximately -10!! No wonder it would not run!And they chipped the brand new paint (that I haven’t even had time to sand a buff )because they broke the door locks and used a jimmy to open the car every day. So unprofessional!Save yourself a lot of money and go to real professionals somewhere else.

They did what 4 other shop couldnt. My car would not stay running and after spending $3000 at other places to not fix the problem my car was transferred to Elliotts. They found the problem within a few days (wiring harness issue) and fixed it quickly. Its been 2 months and my car is still running like new. Life savers and pocketbook savers.

Fair and honest. Even towed my el camino back to their shop when I had an issue shortly after picking it up. I am so pleased with their work I have my sons Mustang there now. Highly recommend Elliotts!

I must say they try to talk me into a $3000 job that I had fixed for under $400 I believe I was missed lead and I would not recommend them I feel like they were trying to price gouge me and I would’ve done business with them for years to come I feel like they were just trying to make money rather than build a good relationship with a good customer

I had a hard to fix motorhome with wiring damage from an unwanted 4 legged resident....These guys handled it with precision and professionalism. My RV was returned in working order and the exterior clean of the signature fingerprints around the hood that accompanies most auto repairs. They treated my older vehicle like it was their own - hard to find these days. Their attention to detail is what will have me coming back to Elliot Auto Electric for all my mechanical and electrical repairs!!! Fair Price and Fixed Right!! Great Job Guys!!

Big place, looked like they get lots of return business and have been around a while. Checked reviews here first, lots of mixed stories. Decided to take a chance. Long story. They butchered my van, didnt put it back together correctly, still finding holes where screws should be, wires hanging from out of drivers seat now. They had my van for almost a month for what was supposed to be a simple and quick job. Paid about $500 as a ransom just to get it back, not because the job was done right and necessarily ready for pickup. I would never suggest these guys to anyone. Disaster. The reason why there are so many vehicles parked there is because they cant fix them. Theyll take a job no problem but then just keep the car there because they cant fix it but want the money. Manager lied repeatedly about it almost being done, saying that they were right on top of it. Then I drive by and the van is parked in the same spot with no change. Go anywhere else.

Stay away from these crooks ! They had my car for 2 weeks waiting on a part that never came. Then they had the nerve to charge me over $130 with out doing any work. The man at the counter said is that your signature? You agreed to pay even if we didnt do any work I Do Not Recommend Elliotts !!

Best place in the valley for anything electrical period dont debate me about it. Fix my challenger from uk light conversion to usa standards.

Got my Cadillac passed emmissions. Did me a solid on the work and all the test driving. You gotta pay for these guys time and I would gladly do it again.

My Lexus was there over 1 month but nobody even attempted to diagnose my vehicle for the entire duration of period that the shop had my car for. I was even more upset when I had to pick up vehicle because they couldnt figure out the problem, then when I got my car I noticed they destroyed my intake & stole my window visors off my vehicle while it was in their possession, john should be fired he doesnt know his job well enough to be employed there. DONT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP AT ALL!!

Great Work! I have brought several of my cars to Elliots multiple times over the years. Many times it has been when others were not able to identify the problem, and Elliots has been amazing at finding out the issues and taking care of them. Even other dealers have referred me to them. I know car problems are not fun and not always easy, but Elliots has always taken the time to work with me and find out what my car issues are. Darren and crew are my heroes!

Brought my 72 Olds 442 to Elliotts. They had it for 3 months. Requested that they repair my wiring harness and a short in the dash. Also had a hard starting problem when warm and slow power windows. Also had non working radio They choose to repair several other things that I did not request. My ignition switch, my turn signals (they worked fine when I brought it to them) and my tail light (which they broke by running it over while fixing the light bulb) I didnt mind as I was excited about getting all the other things fixed. I picked it up on 12/8/15 and they did not fix the radio, the windows are still slow and the starter still does not crank when the engine is hot. I was fooled by the constant bright note every time I called. Before I could say a word the person who answers the phone always listed the exciting progress they were making. I brought it back twice during the 3 month period to fix the things they did not fix. I finally gave up because they leave these nice cars out in the weather and did not want my car sitting outside any longer. Elliots may have been a good place to go at one time but now the old skill seems to be gone. The place is a mess with all the car bays full of junk instead of cars, forcing them to work on cars outside. rather than have them keep it for several more months, I requested a partial refund. I never heard back.I spent 2k and the car has all the same problems it did when I brought it to them. I know a lot about cars but was getting lazy about my own repairs. Looks like Im back to fixing it myself. I would avoid them at all costs.
