Warning to potential renters and current renters. My catalytic converter was stolen from my car on the night of 8/15. I do park in the paid parking garage. I tried posting on the apartment’s app “Henri” to alert other tenants to keep an eye out for suspicious activity. I tried to post 3 separate days in a row and on the fourth day they deleted all the pending posts. I feel unsafe living here knowing that they won’t allow communication that involves safety to be posted on the app. Please consider this before you rent here. The garage door has been broken since 8/13. When the door is broken it is left open so that everyone can enter/exit. To date (8/27) it has not been repaired and no updates have been given. There is only 2 cameras in the parking garage, at the entrance and exit. When i spoke with the front office assistant manager, she was not empathetic to the situation only stated “we are not liable.” They have not made any attempts to make it safer, only stated they will let their security know to keep an eye out. I have not seen an increase in security since the incident and I have not seen them drive through all the levels of the parking garage. It would be helpful if they place more cameras in all areas of the garage to help in events like this but they have not made any notion to do so. So again, keep your safety in mind before you rent here.
Very disappointed in management. They restrict information between residents by keeping people from putting up informative posts on our community site that relates to our safety. They don’t like when it reflects poorly on the Astor even if it’s true. The garage door is broken often, multiple car break ins and no cameras. Last week there was a fire in the building in the middle of the night where the fire alarm was blaring for 2 long hours while the fire department put out the fire. But the worst part is that management refuses to inform in its residents as to the source or reason of the fire stating that that is Mark Taylors policy. Their only statement was an email saying that safety of residents is their top priority. If they withhold facts that we as adult residents need to make our own informed decisions that is unacceptable. I have been here less than one year and everyone that was working in the office at the start of my lease is now gone. They are not responsive at all and they censor residents posts. I’ve seen multiple security breaches in the building with homeless people getting in. Missing packages all the time. Dirty carpets and property. Dirty backed up garbage chutes and trash rooms. Hot water heater that runs out of hot water pretty quickly so don’t expect to take a long hot bath. There are other issues but these are the worst. I would not recommend living in a Mark Taylor property and especially not the Astor. The only plus is that’s it’s next to Sprouts.
Move in date is only 10 days away and I am so excited! Chris, kiley and Ashlee have been wonderful and have made the application process so easy! They are all very attentive and have answered every question I’ve had. I will definitely recommend this property to family/friends . Can’t wait till move in date which has already been explained and sounds very easy!
We toured this property and it is very nice. The layout of the apartments was great and the finishes were high end. What we didnt like and why we would not lease here is hidden fees. On top of the rent and tax they also charge $100 for a parking spot and trash removal. Then if you would like a second parking spot its $50-$75 additional dollars. Most couples in Phoenix have two cars. These fees should be built into the rent not added to it so the property can advertise lower base rent then tack on fees at the end. Another problem was the lack of a hot tub which may not matter to some people but for those who enjoy soaking in the hot tub in the winter its crummy to not be able to do that. A high end property should have a hot tub. If the fees dont bother you I would say lease here and you will have a beautiful apartment home, but beware of these fees before you tour. And be ok with them. We wish we knew ahead of time so we are writing this review to warn others.
Very professional and courteous staff. All issues have been taken care of expediently. High quality living that lives up to the Mark Taylor brand. Amenities are top notch. Central location places you within minutes of entertainment options. Overall; very happy with my decision to rent at the Astor.
Moved in 2 weeks ago. Everyone has been very helpful in the process. I have been very impressed with the quality of the apartments and amenities. The kitchen is amazing, there is so much counter space and brand new appliances! the location is also right next to sprouts which makes grocery shopping easy and convenient. We toured many apartments during our search but this was by far the best.
A beautiful place centrally located with walking distance to great restaurants, parks, and every day needs. Management team is great!
AMAZING place. The staff works hard and is quick to respond to anything. Beautiful complex... not one complaint.
Chris was amazing the moment I stepped into the building. His customer service is something to be desired. The fact that he was willing to answer all of my thousand questions, without issue is what made me return less than 30 minutes later.I love how modern everything is, and the amenities are amazing.-no more dog hair in my shower; as there’s a pet station downstairs.I’m still learning the area, but all of the staff have been helpful when I’ve inquired about places. Everything important (to me atleast) is relatively close. Loving my new living space thus far!
I am very pleased with my entire experience here. From the initial process, Ashlee made it a very smooth transition. Every interation Ive had with the staff in the front has been welcoming and genuine. As well as the maintinece team, Robert was professional and always ensured that my requests were completed promptly. All the staff is great, which makes a great community!
Great place to live. Timeless modern design with a variety of floor plans to fit my needs. This is the best place to live in midtown Phoenix.
It is great place to live, everything is conveniently close and the staff is very friendly. Amenities are sweet only thing is that the clubhouse is always way to hot and the pool is supposed to be heated but it really isn’t.
Moved in a week ago. The apartment and amenities are fantastic. Came to Phoenix from Virginia, and the team at The Astor made the transition really smooth. Love, love, love!
I moved in recently, but so far, so good! Every staff member I have interacted with has been very genuine and helpful.
Love living here with my wife, everything is easily commutable and the staff is very friendly!
Chris in leasing office was friendly and very helpful.
BEAUTIFUL PLACE A RESORT RIGHT AT HOME!
Love this complex! Love the amenities and the staff is awesome.
