I loved my two years at Carol Mary Apartments. Always clean and maintenance was always fast. But all good things must come to an end and one must move on to better things.

The property manager, Lisa is one of the most efficient and dedicated I’ve ever experienced.My wife and I feel safe in these apartments because the facility is locked at all times with doors automatically close behind you.The parking lot is close to the nearest gate so my wife feels safe coming home alone. The area is not amazing, but it’s not bad enough that we feel worried about safety. (No creepy strollers etc)Lisa is quick to respond to any needs of tenant and seems to always have our best interest in mind.Pool is ALWAYS clean and beautiful.Other tenants are kind and not creepy. Most of them probably enjoy the lower rent and many families also enjoy the property.Overall, my wife and I couldn’t have asked for a most perfect first home as we save up.

Im not sharing my experience as a resident but an applicant:A couple weeks ago I was applying to a lot of different apartment listings, Carol Mary was one of them. Things began progressing with another apartment I was interested in, however I had already applied to Carol Mary and there was a $300 fee built into the application that was processed immediately. I emailed someone from MEB, the property management Carol Mary is under, and let them know I was approved for a different apartment and would not be going further with my application to Carol Mary. They were very professional and understanding in processing my refund - I was in between apartment homes and let them know, and they were able to send the refund check to a friends address. The whole thing took less than a week and I was very relieved and happy to have this refund processed. $300 is a lot of money and it was a huge relief to have it refunded. I expected apartment companies and property management companies to be shady about this sort of thing, but the exact opposite happened. Thank you for the great service to someone who isnt even a resident!

It’s a great place to live. My only complaints are that is was often hard to get maintenance requests done, and there was a bit too much focus on unnecessary levels of security (towing away rental cars with no warning, locking dumpsters, etc.)

Pros:-maintenance man really nice-pool sounds like it’s raining outside and is relaxing-nice neighbors-AC blows extremely cool air and is great all year, only thing is it is very loudCons:-no communication from management when things break (plumbing issues, washer/dryers not working, etc.)-no warning of when things will be down (like water going down for DAYS) or when they will be turned back on-plumbing issues at least once a month and the bathtub in my unit filled up with sewage for a week and made the whole place smell-toilet unable to flush very often-leasing office at a different apartment complex and hours are pretty much 9:00-1:00 which leaves almost no time for people who have jobs during that time-bike rack unsecured and unsupervised so I had my bike stolen from there-cannot order any packages here at all (other residents steal packages when left by front door, mailman can’t get into locked gate so everything goes to the downtown ups where you have to pay to park to get a package)The thing I hated the most though was trying to reach the manager Salina. She NEVER answers the phone during business hours and if you leave a voice message she might possibly get back to you (a week later) and sending her an email is pretty much useless. No communication from her.Sadly she responds to Yelp reviews faster than she responds to the actual residents that live at the Carol Mary.Can’t wait to leave this place, I just hope someone sees this and doesn’t make the same mistake I did.

I would not reccomend . We ended our lease early because of the cockroach infestation. It was disgusting I hated living here. In our electronics, our cabinets, everywhere we would go there would be cockroaches. I can’t wait to move out.

Carol Mary was great! Perfect location and small to where it’s not overpopulated with tenants. Great spot!

Beautiful space. Very happy with neighbors and upkeep!

A well kept secret of downtown Phoenix, Carol Mary is a great place to live at a reasonable price!
