They are a no-kill animal rescue organization whose mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of adoptable homeless cats and dogs in Maricopa County They offer vaccinations and dental procedures for reduced prices. They have both staff and volunteers who are dedicated to help you and your pet(s). They are kind, welcoming and professional.

Such a great rescue. Great staff. Our kitten came to us competely healthy and ready to spoil. We had a small issue with the kitten we got there and they were quick to address the issue. I wouldnt normally mention anything, but the way they took care of us, months after the adoption, just shows their dedication to their mission. Will come back when we are looking to add to our family. PS, our kitten is doing great and we love her so much.

Its a wonderful place. A no-kill shelter with a wonderful staff. Everyone is kind and generous. I was able to spend as much time as I needed with my new companion Floyd. My husband and I adopted our little girl Frida (formerly named Dharma), on our 15th wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was so pleasant and helpful, and it is evident that they truly care about the animals in their care. Its an anniversary well never forget. Frida has adjusted to our home very quickly and is loving life.

I was nervous about the dental cleaning process, but everyone at Home Fur Good was so professional and patient with me. I couldnt have asked for anything more. They took really great care of my fur baby and he came home with a fresh clean smile! :D Thank you Home Fur Good!!

So disappointed in the inability to surrender my babies to a safe place at a time in my life where I myself have nowhere to go. Its either packed or too expensive. My pets are family and unfortunately I had to find alternatives. The City of Phoenix either needs to stop advertising help, or do much better at helping those desperately trying to do the right thing. Extremely hurt and disappointed

Ive only been there a couple of times for their dental clinic. I knew my dog would need work and boy she sure did. The vet and staff were very compassionate and helpful. The vet even gives you his cell phone if your pet has post treatment issues. If I didnt already have 3 dogs, I would adopt from them.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience, I mentioned multiple times I was very worried abt getting an aggressive dog and they said we can return the dog, within 24 hrs the dog started a dog fight with existing dog (meet and greet isn’t enough time). They really should implement a 36-72 hr trial w new family especially with kids and/or dogs….returned dog which was not a problem but later lady who called to let me know that they will take back dog but no refund was rather rude. I’ll chalk it up as a donation and hopefully the dog was placed with no kids and pets this time.

I adopted 12-year-old Ribbi from HFG on August 19. It is one of the best decisions Ive made in a very long time. I was following Ribbi on their website for several weeks, and finally decided I had to give this senior gentleman a new home. The staff at Home Fur Good could not have been more helpful. They gave me ample time to get to know Ribbi and gave me as much background about him as was available. They followed up with me after the adoption to see how things were going. I would highly recommend Home Fur Good for anyone wanting to adopt a pet.

I am very grateful to find Home Fur Good. My 16 year old dog, Sebastian, needed tooth surgery-they were able to help me get him in and saved me thousands! They were kind, quick, reasonable and honest. Home Fur Good is a wonderful rescue center, place to get vaccinations and dental cleanings. The volunteers there do great work and you can tell they love what they do. Thank you SO much! Shout out to Dr. Mel Pence! :)

Worked with Home Fur Good via email for my Aunts cat. They responded promptly and gave some very good advice. Very good impression.

I took my cat to a new vet and was told about a low cost dental clinic called Home Fur Good. I made the appointment and my 13 year old male cat had his surgery. He was in his carrier when I picked him up. I took him home and pulled him out of the carrier and saw his bottom canine was up over his top lip when he closed his mouth. You would think the vet would close the cats mouth to check the alignment of the teeth after doing the dental surgery. Also this clinic did not provide pain meds after the surgery. My cat was in terrible pain for weeks and had a hard time eating his food. After spending $320 on a teeth cleaning plus extractions and now I have a cat that can hardly eat his food and has a bottom canine over his top lip. I was not about to go back to this vet - since he definitely needs to go back to vet school to learn teeth alignment in cats. Why not just take out the tooth if you know its going to hang up over the top of his lip. Now I have to go to another vet and pay more money to get this tooth extracted and see what other mistakes may haven taken place. Thank God the previous previous vet who recommended Home Fur Good gave me pain meds for my cat before my cats surgery. I had to keep him on pain meds just so he could eat his food and the inflammation would go down. After my cats surgery I asked them for pain meds but the girl checking my out said the vet gave an injection. Injection - what a joke. Those injections dont last very long and if any animal has had extensive dental surgery they need pain meds at home for at least week or more so they can eat there food. My cat will only eat dry food. Now because of this botched surgery I have to go to another clinic and pay double. Im retired and on a fixed income, I had to borrow the money from my daughter to pay for this dental surgery. Now I have to pay twice!!!! Im just letting you know my experience and do not recommend this clinic for dental surgery. If you want a low cost dental clinic that does a great dental surgery, and gives you pain meds after surgery and antibiotics then I recommend North Phoenix Animal Clinic on Bell Road. I took my cat there previously and everything went great, no problems, they give you the meds, very professional, the vets are fantastic and the cost is the same. The only reason I went to Home Fur Good was because the vet I went to recommended them. So I thought well I just give them a try because I could get an appointment faster with them - than with Phoenix Animal Clinic (they are extremely busy - and book out quickly). So sometimes you have to wait weeks for an appointment. I wanted something right away because my cat was refusing to eat his food. He also was suffering from an extreme case of Feline stomatitis. Finally I took my cat back to Phoenix Animal Clinic and they gave my cat a large dose of steroids and antibiotics for his stomatitis to get it under control before his next dental surgery - which is scheduled for April 2nd. I also put my cat on probiotics, L-Lysine, and CoQ10 daily to help reduce his stomatitis. He is doing much much better and after he has his next dental surgery to get rid of that protruding tooth and he will be able to close his mouth properly - and he should be back to his normal self. Just wanted to inform you of my experience and I would never in this lifetime recommend Home Fur Good - send your vet back to veterinary school to learn teeth alignment!!!!!

We had been talking about adopting a kitten for a couple of years and when we moved to a bigger apartment this month, we knew it was finally time. We found this place on Google and they had a little 10 week old kitten. since it was Saturday afternoon, we were able to get an appointment right away. As soon as I saw Wally I knew he was mine. All the people there were so kind and helpful, and really care about animals. The cat room there is kept really clean and nice, with lots of toys and places to climb. There were a couple of older cats I saw that were there awhile, and I really hope they can find homes soon- at least theyre well taken care of and not lonely at this shelter. After my experience adopting here, I would recommend them to everyone! If you dont adopt here, definitely at least donate because they put so much into caring for these animals while they find their forever homes.P.S. Wally says hi! Hes purring in my lap as I write this.

Adopted 2 kittens from here over a year ago, Eggsy and Toast, and when I unfortunately had to take them back (my father is ill and I have to go take care of him), they gave my furbabies a place to go where I know they wont be euthanised. They are very caring people.

I was able to adopt my best friend here! The process was super smooth and everyone was helpful and amazing!

Vaccination time for my dogs. By appointment only. I lucked out. There was a cancelation and I was able to take them in today. One appointment at a time. I was able to bring in both of my dogs. They used a side door for dogs to exit. That way my small dogs didnt have to interact with other large dogs.

Love my pup! They took good care of her and were awesome to work with. They even took care of all her dental work. Try the vaccine and dental clinic! They are awesome and much less expensive than the vet.

The lady that ran the adoption for the cats always very rude. Also, when I adopted my kitten they said she still needed all the booster shots (in which the website said they come with all shots) and 1 day after taking my kitten home, she got severe upper respiratory infection and is still battling it. The area in which they keep their cats was not clean at all.

Scheduled a dental for my dog with Home Fur Good because their cost was over $100 savings.

Hands down, the best shelter/rescue around. The people are great! They truly love the animals they take in. Highly recommend!

They are a rescue with a great affordable dental clinic. They do blood work before scheduling your dog for a procedure. My boy had a high white count so they are putting him on antibiotics before his appointment 😘

I didnt visit, but was a phone call that made me realize why people arent going out of their way to help stray animals. We have a problem with stray cats. They are adults, but now theyve had babies so LOTS of kittens. Anyway I was trying to find a shelter to take the kitten because I dont want to see another cat run over! The lady I spoke to kept telling me to keep the cats and was basically calling me a liar (like the cats were mine and I just wanted to get rid of them). Anyway she was NO help of any kind. She couldnt even give me a phone number to someone else that maybe able to help, she was to busy telling me to just keep your kittens . I was online and making calls all day trying to find homes for the kittens.

We met Home Fur Good at an adoption event. We were so impressed with the care and knowledge that they had about their rescue dogs! We ended up going back to look at their other dogs and found our first fur baby! I cannot say enough good things about our experience through the adoption process with them.First their facility for the dogs is top notch. They have an excellent space outside for the dogs to soak up the sun and run around. The dogs are clearly well cared for and loved. They rescue most of their dogs from the Maricopa shelter I believe and they are incredible patient with all of them. We specifically worked with Tina and when we explained what kind of dog we were looking for she introduced us to the one we adopted. As their website says, they are interested in finding the right fit for your family and not just adopting out a dog to clear out space. Tina was also extremely helpful from the time we left to before we came to pick her up on what kind of food and kennel size she needed to prepare for her coming home.When we came to pick her up they had a goodie bag ready for us with a new collar/leash, toy and other informational papers. Linda spent a lot of time going over how to successfully transition our rescue dog to her new home. They also take pictures of you with your new dog and send them to you to celebrate the addition to your family.I cannot recommend Home Fur Good enough! They were truly wonderful to work with. We plan to continue supporting their business!

This place is amazing! The people there are all animal lovers and they volunteer their time out of pure love for the animals there. Their #1 priority is the animals that come in to the shelter. Please visit, donate, or volunteer if you can.I was a volunteer there and fostered a dog that is now the love of my life. She stole my heart and I adopted her. She is my baby and I will forever be grateful for everything HFG has done for us.Note: HFG is one of the few NO KILL animal shelters in the area.

This is a nice little rescue. They have a small dog room, a medium and large. While we were there they had a big van there that had doggy treadmills inside. The dogs were really enjoying walking on them! We didnt end up adopting from here because our existing dog didnt get along with the little guy we were considering- but we would have for sure.

We had set up a meet and greet a few days earlier and even called the day before to make sure the dog was still available. The day of the appointment we showed up and was immediately discouraged from meeting the dog, then being shown two other dogs we had no interest in meeting. After a hour of stalling we finally were able to meet the dog we had the appointment to see. At this time we were told we could not adopt the dog because a lady had met the dog the day before and was coming back to possibly adopt the dog. Of course we decided to leave and was toldwe would be called if the dog became available later in the day. Wow I will not be back

Was there today to get my kitten his first shots, the nurse that was on the floor definitely had the best energy where as the doctor herself could use some work. It’s a nerve racking moment to get your kitten his first shot and to be disregarded and not acknowledged by the doctor like that was not pleasing. But once again the nurse made up for it because she was so sweet and kind!

Best place to adopt. Best dogs and best staff/volunteers. They also have a vaccine clinic on Sundays. Its the only place I would ever go to adopt a dog or cat.

I have worked with numerous shelters and rescues in the valley and hands down Home Fur Good does the best job. Not only working with animals but the humans too. I have been able to foster for HFG and they have helped me save numerous lives since 2016. The compassion, care and low cost vet/dental services that are offered are unbeatable. Special thanks to Judy there that has gone above and beyond to work with me and other passionate rescuers in finding forever homes to all our furry friends.

I recently have been calling around trying to help my cat get rehomed, and every place i Have contacted says they arent willing to come pick her up and that I have to bring her in my self, it wasnt until I called Home Fur Good that I got an explanation as to why. they were not only kind and respectful to me but even attempted to look into my questions more personally, but most of all they were willing to explain to me that the reason for not being able to come get her is due to testing. apparently you have to pay a 40$ fee to get the animal tested and if they fail they cannot take the animal due to health concerns. honestly I like this answer because its honest and makes it easier for me not to feel so frustrated about not being able to find a good home for my baby. ty Home Fur Good, though you werent able to help me I appreciate your caring interest ^ ^

It a very friendly environment the people are very kind I found the cats that took to the the took the kittens with mom and kept them together they are so good with them its a none kill so I know they will go to a nice place and the kittens to thank u guys for helping me I just couldnt see them out there in the heat no more

Weve adopted several cats from Home Fur Good over the years. They are a solid no-kill shelter with their hearts in the right place. I went in to visit and meet the adult cats, and had fun working with a litter of kittens who needed social time. One kitten pooped and scooped it right away to keep the smell in the cat room at a minimum.

Reasonable vaccine prices and a dedicated staff. Weve been bringing our dogs here for years and have always been happy with the results. They can get very busy on Sundays, so expect to be there for an hour+.

If your looking to adopt a pet, definitely go to this placr first. I got both of my fur babies from the location in Scottsdale and the workers there were wonderful and pleasant to work with. This is a wonderful place to adopt a fur baby into your forever home.

This is a fairly large dog park. The grass in throughout the middle, is a bit worn down. Lots of dogs and owners. They do have a water spigot. Also there are buckets for that water throughout the park. My German Shepherd loves to run and there is plenty of room for it.

I only talked to someone on the phone but they were very helpful and are very involved in the community how to save and re home dogs and cats that need adoption

Place seems to run off volunteers and donations, which is great. Facilities could use some updating, but I understand thats a lot of money. Very friendly staff though. Will help you find the friend youre looking for!

No help at all!!! Called to ask them if my dog might have been brought in per recommendations by others in my area and was greated by a very snooty lady on the phone and said they wouldnt even look at a stray!! Gave them a second chance and went inside and was given the same attitude by employee who said she was the owner/mgr. They wouldnt accept a stray, I explained she wasnt she had a home and just got out. Boy the nasty look I got! The only good part about it they had a picture of my lost dog.

This is the rescue that brings dogs and cats to the Tatum/ Shea Petsmart. When I have extra towels or blankets, I drop them off here and theyre grateful to get them for the animals to feel comforted and at home. The staff can tell you a bit about each dog our cat to help you find a good fit for your lifestyle and personality. So much better than paying a breeder!

This shelter adopts animals off the euthanasia list at the local humane society and the city animal control. They get the pets neutered, clean their teeth, and some are even enrolled into behavioral classes before they are ready to be adopted again to their fur-ever home! They do a lot of great things for these animals to give them a second chance. I am very proud to be a part of this team of pet angels that watch over these guys until they have found their home fur good!

They are not interested in giving dogs to people with other dogs and are definitely not fans of big dogs. Wouldnt even give any of their big male dogs the chance to be adopted by a loving family that already has a big dog like the ones they didnt allow us to meet and greet with. They want to keep them there with them at their Home in a cage Fur Good. You will feel judged unless you have no dog, a tiny dog or your dog is calm and doesnt have any personality. How can a dog rescue and dog facilitation be so judgmental about dog placement. I understand there are mistreated animals and it is sensitive, but stuck in those cages is not beneficial and never will be. They hand-pick animals from kill shelters and pre-judge dogs that arent to their liking. Wish for better luck for others who are judged by the workers from places like this. Our family loves our dog and that is all that matters. They also write fraudulent reviews. Business etiquette - You shouldnt retaliate bad reviews with false reviews. The consumer is entitled to their opinion.

I attempted to adopt kittens. The facility seemed well run, but the lady in charge of adoptions, Judy, was very accusational in her tone. While asking their vetting questions [which is completely understandable] she began to increase her voice telling my fiance and myself that we didnt know how to take care of cats. She informed us that EVERY cat NEEDS 2 cans of wet cat food every single day. I have owned and taken care of cats since I was 5 years old. [And the youngest my cats have passed away was 12 years old]. I have always fed them dry food, with wet food as a treat every couple of days. Also while we were there two young ladies were attempting to adopt kittens and she had the same voice with them. While asking her questions she is very angry and accusational. I understand that your facility wants to make sure the cats are going to good homes, but you do not need to persecute the pet parents who are looking for a new companion and help your business.

Horrible. It was Not disclosed in any of the Home Fur Good literature that I must continue to pay an additional $20 a year! I have four digs and none of the other chip companies make you keep paying a fee. I tried calling customer service twice only to be put on external hold and then sent to voicemail. NO ONE RETURNED MY CALL!

I have been volunteering for this shelter for over a year now, I love helping the animals, and I can honestly say each one of them is handled with the best care and love there is to offer at a shelter. Please if you are thinking about adopting or just giving out animals some love come and stop by.

I adopted Alfie from them just a little more than two years ago. I collected blankets, food, treats etc to take to them. They take animals from the county and get them ready for adopting.

We stopped by after waiting a long time at the HALO place on 32nd St and Bell Rd. HALO didnt care about adopting an animal to us. Home fur good was wonderful. We arrived at 10 minutes till 4 (closing time) and we were welcomed. We were allowed to look at the cats and dogs. An older kitty chose us and we did the paperwork, paid the fee and now we are getting ready to take kitty home. So happy to know there are places that focus on an adoption vs the hassle just to see an animal. Not really a good pic but hes in a cage. He is ours and we will love him. Best wishes.
