I have been many times to Pet Urgent Care, as my pup had a serious (incurable but manageable for a time) illness. My regular vet could not see us in a timely manner, and a friend recommended Pet Urgent Care. Pup and I always were treated with the utmost respect and care. During those visits, Jane was the person at the desk. Without fail, she was compassionate, thoughtful, efficient. After the first visit or two, my little guy was ready as soon as we got there to walk down the hall to a treatment room, whether or not they were ready for him. He never balked! To me, that is about the best recommendation a consumer ( the dog!) can give, and he had some rather uncomfortable procedures. It wasn’t all treats and hugs! We found everyone there to be extraordinary. I now have another pup, and I will be seeing them again.
Dr Gilson is top notch. Double board certified and knows his stuff. Front desk is super kind, tiny little place in a strip mall you wouldn’t expect the caliber of care.
The entire staff was so nice and very helpful and informative. The services were MUCH cheaper than other emergency vets, and even cheaper than regular vets in my area. They were able to save my cat and shes doing great day after surgery. Highly highly recommend!
The lady at the front desk was SO kind. The vet was professional and his vet tech was also super informative. We lasted more in driving here than we did waiting. Super fast. Very cheap prices compared to emergency vets. HIGHLY recommend. Thank you to all the staff at Pet Urgent Care! I left feeling better about my kittens health.
After reading the reviews i had high hopes for the place, i ended up very disappointed and underwhelmed with the service i received. The woman at the front desk yelled at me when i had my puppy on the ground (i was there for a spinal injury i didn’t want to hold her and hurt her more) which was fine she doesn’t have her 3rd round of shots yet so i picked her up the best way i could to not hurt her, once i told her what i thought might be wrong with my puppy she yelled at me for the way i was holding her but didn’t give me an alternate way to hold her… and then she told me that they were at full capacity (which was also fine) but this was the last place near me that i had gone to and she asked if i went to 1st pet yet which i did, they sent me out because it “wasn’t an emergency” and she told me to go back and say that i believe it’s an emergency which i had already told them and they didn’t care. I told the lady i wasn’t going to go back there i was just going to try and find somewhere else. I found somewhere else and my dad was on his way but he forgot which one i said i went to so he stopped by this place and the lady told him i was at 1st pet, which i clearly stated to her that i wasn’t going to go back there, causing my dad to panic (my phone had died and i didn’t have a charger with me) I feel that they didn’t take into consideration what i might be going through and they didn’t seem to care. The place was dirty and unorganized i do not recommend going there at all.
The receptionist, technician, and doctor were all friendly and personable. Reasonable wait time for our cat that needed non urgent medical attention. I would definitely utilize their service in the future if needed!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! You guys are simply the best!! You took care of my best friend Midgy, he had to have 16 extractions. Everything went smooth, you were so warm and caring with my little man, great outcome. Your prices very reasonable making it less traumatic on the finances, it makes you more apt to get the care your pet needs without the stress of financially ruining oneself. Thank you again my friends at Pet Urgent Care ❤❤❤❤❤
As a lifelong pet owner and animal lover, this is the most helpful and honest vet office Ive ever been to. They work with rescues and sanctuaries to help them help animals. Great people with big hearts!
Excellent service. The vet really knows what he’s doing . Very reasonable prices. I’m happy I found this place . I highly recommend it.
Amazing!!! Im a first time pet mom and my kitty fell from a 2nd story balcony!! I was FREAKING OUT!!! the wonderful woman whom answered the phone, took me in her arms with her calm demeanor on the phone. She was an angel! Calmed me down, explained I was in good hands. And I was!!! Come to find out MY BABY was freaking out cause MOM was freaking out. Everyone is doing great!!!
Dr. Gilson and his staff are absolutely amazing. We were referred by our primary Vet to bring our 7 year old boxer here after he was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma and required amputation. He and his staff are compassionate and his prices are definitely reasonable and affordable in comparison to others. Would highly recommend.
Immediate and compassionate help in emergency situation. Dr. Gilson and his staff examined my dog Sophie right away and provided a treatment plan for her. Highly recommended Pet Urgent Care!
This place is wonderful. I called on a Saturday afternoon because my dog Lizzy was not acting herself and my regular vet could not get me in. Dr. Gilson and his staff are extremely compassionate and gave me several options since I was on a budget. Their prices are affordable and I never felt like anything was being pushed on me. I will definitely return the next time one of my pets is sick. Thank you Pet Urgent Care!
Cat needed an expensive surgery asap and they worked with me on the cost and ended up estimating it for half the price another vet did AND stayed past hours to get it done. The technician was very supportive and gave us a lot of tips and tricks to try during post-OP care before rushing him back for another overnight fee. He also insisted we call him multiple times across a few days to check in and even gave us his schedule to make sure we would reach him. Extremely grateful for the dedication to pet care and will recommend this place to everyone!
I’m extremely satisfied with my first visit. I came in very panicked about my pet, but the friendly staff there took amazing care of my kitten and did a great job explaining all the details to me. Not only was the service outstanding, but it was very cost effective. I’m definitely recommending this office to all my pet owner friends!
I came here three weeks ago because my dog had become very slow and almost non responsive and because the good reviews made me think that this place was good but god was I wrong, they showed zero sympathy for what was happening, they said I needed to pay $500 in deposit for honestly nothing, they did blood work and UV liquid but $500?? They had already told me it would be 300 at most yet asked for 500 but because I was legitimately afraid, I accepted it. But then they still wanted me to pay $190 for medication, the $500 was all I had at the moment and when I offered to come back and pay off the rest because I would get paid on the 10th, they refused me and kept antagonizing me, constantly saying how are you going to afford her surgery? If you dont do her surgery, shell die over and over again so I left. Two weeks later I went to banfield hospital and they gave me the same medication for $87. Then guess what pet urgent care? Three weeks later, I got the surgery done for my dog with 1st vet in north valley and I cant express enough how absolutely sweet they are, the experience compared to here was significantly different. Learn your priorities because you guys are money hungry who took advantage of the fact that I was desperate for a solution because a persons dog becomes everything to them, seriously, I wish I had requested whatever vet that everyone was praising about but I wasnt fortune enough. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE, IM BEGGING YOU.
Wow they turned me away with my dog an hour before they closed saying they couldn’t see him!!!! This is the second time!!!! Lost my business
They only care about money. Took my dog there because he kept throwing up and wasn’t eating or drinking. They made a “blood test” and everything came back ”good.” They gave him some fluids, shots, Medicine, and also told us to not feed him or let him drink water. We were in relief because it wasn’t something that could potentially put him in danger. A few hours later, my dog kept throwing up again but this time it was worse. He stopped and we though it was part of the shots they gave him, that we shouldn’t worry. Later on he wasn’t standing up and kept spacing out. My dog wasn’t acting the same. Matter of fact he became worst. Finally we took him to an emergency vet. Turns out he had stomach issues and had too much liquid inside his stomach. So why would they tell me that his blood and organs were good when they were failing? It was all because of money. I DOUBT they even took a blood test. My dog sadly passed away, he was far too weak and we had to put him down. He wouldn’t have made it pass the night if we never took him. So no, I do not recommend this place at all.
Have a 10 lb. Chihuahua who came up with a limp and in pain. Took him to Pet urgent care and within 30 minutes he was seen, diagnosed, treated and dismissed. After 2 doses of the prescribed meds, the limp was gone and the dog resumed his usual neurotic behavior. All this at a reasonable cost. Ill be back. Good job folks!!
I took my Yorkie here after she spent 5 days in trauma, labored breathing non stop vomiting. I had taken her to VetMed and received only charges and tests no relief. The staff here was marvelous and made the last hour of my Princess Leias life much better. They sedated her which allowed my daughter and i to hold her and give her some much needed relief and love in her final hour. They gave us all the time we needed before they finally ended her suffering. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone who loves their pet.
My dog got attacked by two very large dogs and I rushed her here. They helped in a timely manner and it was very affordable considering everything they did for her. She’s is currently recovering and I’m very happy I brought her here. !!
We were looking for a vet at 5:00 on a Saturday afternoon. We called a few places, but they were either closing soon or were already closed. This vet not only took us in, but they bandaged our dogs leg up for free! That kind of customer service and care for the patient isnt very common today, and we just want to express how grateful we are to have found you. We will definitely be back!
We were so lucky to have been referred here. Dr Gilson was phenomenal in caring for our boxer with a bowel obstruction. He helped us make the right decision for our dog and I never felt pressured. I would highly recommend Pet Urgent Care. Michael was so great in facilitating the logistics and details of the visit and was a great coordinator between the doctor and clients. We didn’t wait any time at all to go back to a room. Their prices were fair, when other emergency vet companies weren’t, and we are grateful for the care Dr Gilson provided our boxer. His health would have been at great risk had Dr Gilson not performed surgery on him. I would highly recommend this office for those in an emergent situation. You won’t be disappointed in their top notch care.
My cat broke his canine and they got him in quick. They were nice and knowledgeable. Another time, same cat caught a baby bunny and mortally wounded him. I called and they said bring him in to stop his suffering. At no charge.
Excellent veterinary care. The staff was very kind, helpful and compassionate. Dr Gilson examined my dog Emma diagnosed her and gave me a treatment plan. I have been to several other emergency clinics in the last couple of years were I waited for hours was charged for tons of test and then they misdiagnosed my dog. I highly recommend Pet Urgent Care.
I take my pets here any time they have a problem. I have had only great experiences. They take us back quickly. They take care of my pets.
Im honestly split between giving this place a one star and a two star. The veterinarians are never on time for an appointment nor call back with a follow up in a proper amount of time. If you call the clinic, every secretary will call and say they will call back in thirty minutes, and that has NEVER happened. The soonest I got a call back was 7 hours later. Usually I never get a call back. My veterinarian even forgot to call in my dogs prescription and I couldnt get ahold of them for a week or so to ask her to do that. Finally when I did get a hold of her, she said she would do it that day, and that did not happen. They say they are opening a new location, which is sad because they cant even handle this one location. If you can, avoid this place, youre better off taking your pet somewhere else. I would give it a two star because the surgery that they performed on my dog was pretty seamless, BUT the wound got infected and they wont call me back at all to discuss it or answer a single question I have about it.
This has to be the SADDEST experience I have ever had at a Vets office. My little dog was bitten by a large dog and this was the closest place to go. Mind you this little dog we took in was a rescue dog. He was part of our family and loved very much...hence...why we went to the vet to begin with. They are outrageously overpriced and have a lack of compassion. To make a long story short because we could not afford the OVERPRICED fees they charge. They gave us two options, put the dog down who by the way is only 6 months old or make a donation and they will give him to a shelter. So the dog starts his life in a shelter and ends up with the trauma of going back to the shelter. Why you ask, how he was bite by a large dog, because that dog was rescued because the owners were going to put him down. It was a fast unfortunate situation for our little dog.I would NEVER go here again, total lack of compassion for the animal, its all about the HIGH dollar sign. Yes, they are ridiculously over priced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This place ROCKS! We went to the Pet Urgent Care last week when our dog started vomiting. The doc was smart, efficient and the wait time was non-existent! Fixed Titan up in a jiffy and he is back to counter surfing once again. Weve been to other emergency hospitals before and this one is faster, better and cheaper. Its not often you find better service for less money! I dont know what the crazy nut job Dawn S is talking about. These guys are a class act. Our only complaint is that they cant be our regular vet because they are urgent care only. If you need fast service at a screamin deal, this place if for you.
We were very pleased with the staff and service they provided. First time for us and will use them again when needed. What I liked most was the staff keeping us informed and not just letting us wait. Thank you for the care you gave us and our cat.
NEVER take a sick pet to this place! The do not care about the animal, only the convenience of the vets. We had a very sick dog that needed urgent attention. After waiting in the empty lobby for about 5 minutes we were greeted by a clueless person that asked us why we were there (dog wrapped in a blanket in the lobby of a pet ER wasnt enough of a clue). After telling her we had a sick dog, she said - and I quote - We close at 8, let me see if the doctor WANTS to see him. We arrived at 7:45 pm, apparently this place now closes at 8 pm on Sunday - nobody bothered to update the web page which still today says midnight. Well the doctor did not WANT to see him, but she would if we felt it was necessary. We were further cautioned that if it was something serious, we would have to take him somewhere else. We asked where somewhere else was and promptly left. Please take your pets to Emergency Animal Clinic in Avondale instead. They never close, and they always WANT to take care of your pet! Our dog is well on her way to a full recovery no thanks to this place.
I just want to say thank you to everyone that helped me at Pet Urgent Care when my dog passed away. I was hysterical and a mess. The doctor did everything he could to try and revive my pup but it was too late. We got to the pet urgent care when they were already closing for the night but they still let us in and tried to save my dog. The doctor sat with my boyfriend and I to answer all of our questions. We wanted to know what could of caused this to happen since he was fine an hour before he passed and was only 2 1/2 years old. He told us all of the possibilities and let me just have the time I needed with my dog since it would be the last time I would be able to see him, hold him, etc.. I then got home a few days after my pup had passed and received a card in the mail from the doctor sending his condolences which I thought was incredible!! I never thought someone would go out of there way to write me a card regarding my dogs passing. Thank you for EVERYTHING you did for me and my pup. I wish we could have saved him but I appreciate everything you did for me during this tremendously heartbreaking and tragic time!!
I have known Dr. Gilsin for 20+ years & even though he works quickly, he knows his stuff. He treated two if my dogs in the past who had very complicated cases. Since he opened this practice, the hours of operation to provide urgent and emergency care have saved me hundreds of dollars compared to going to the Emergency Animal Clinics, now called Blue Pearl. I do wish his hours were longer, but, I am thankful for him and his staff when I have needed him. We live quite a distance away, but, it has always been well worth the drive to have Dr. Gilson or his other staff vet treat my pets.
Amazing doctor and staff!! We can’t thank Dr Gilson enough for all the times he’s helped our animals!
My dog Buddy (17yrs old) had been having a lot of health issues. One Sunday evening around 5-5:30 he started to go down hill fast, couldn’t breath, was lethargic and more..I called our usual vet who’s open till 8pm and explained I was loading him in my car and was on my way with him (praying he didn’t die on the way) I was told not to bother they were booked up thru closing (Mind you we had been going to this vet for 10yrs..) and I would be turned away and I’d be wasting my gas..then they hung up on me..I called back 2 times and got the same answer.. I was in tears as I was pulled over at a gas station googling and calling every vet place near me. My 3rd call was to Pet Urgent Care and I was told to come right in. They were 3 mins from where I was. The doctor on that night help me rush him into a room, they did an exam and started fluids. Then the doctor after looking him over and looking at the medical paperwork I had with me, told me I had 2 options, they could keep him for a few days and do their best to treat him with meds n possible surgery but his heart was failing and his chances were very low of him surviving. Or he could put him to sleep peacefully so he wouldn’t be suffering any more. He not only let me stay in the room but managed to distract me by talking to me and before I knew it, it was over.. The lady up front came in the room afterwards to find out what I wanted to do with his remains, I asked what my choices were and prices since I only had XXX amount of money at that moment. Not only did they help me at a last minute emergency but they managed to find a way for Buddy to be cremated and it was way under the amount of money I had in my account at that time..I will always bring my pets there from then on..To add insult to it all- the other Vet sent me a final bill on my account I had for Buddy from a visit 2 weeks before for $98.00. I send them $1.00 a week and will keep doing it until it’s paid in full..yet every week I get a call from them asking for the balance in full..they refused me when I needed help so I’ll pay my bill with them as I choose..
These guys are awesome! They are the first place that we have gone to the cares more about your pet than making a profit! Highly recommend this talented staff to take care of your animals! We drive from Lichfield park because these guys are worth it!
If you ever need a vet, this is the place to go. My little Bitsy was not acting like herself and Dr. Steve Gilson was able to figure out what was going on right away, and he got her all fixed up! I cant say enough good about Pet Urgent Care. Their prices are VERY reasonable and they really know what they are doing. The staff was friendly and even called me the next day to see how we was doing. Thank you for fixing my baby girl.
My doxie got injured by another dog and had to have surgery. I was home calling around for affordable help, Im new to the area. I found Pet Urgent Care! I called, got a quote for the visit and was on my way. They were expecting me and allowed us in a room right away! My little guy was missing part of his ear! I was seen quickly, was given plenty of reassurance that my Bestie would be fine and the price was reasonable for his surgery! Odie is on the mend now and I couldnt be happier! Thank You Dr. Samson and Staff! 🐶💜💜Love,Sunny and Odie
I have very few regrets in life, but taking my amazing irreplaceable kitten here is one of them. He never made it out of here. I feel like my little boy was murdered and then the situation handled in the worst way possible. I requested blood work pre-operation and they didnt do it. They lost our appointment and told us they didnt have the man power to do the surgery, then called us on our way home to come back. A neutering procedure takes 5 damn minutes, and yet his heart stopped instantly on the table. The percent chance that this occurs is 0.05% as neutering is considered vet 101 yet they failed at it. I will never bring a pet here again. The staff was callous, unsympathetic and they charged us for the cremation when it was their fault the kitten died in the first place. There was no medication given to us for our other kitten we just had spayed at the same time as the neutering (saying there was no medication on hand--its an Emergency vet clinic dang it). This place is THE LAST PLACE you should take your companion to. Stay far away from here. Everything was handled poorly by the doctor and the vet tech. I would give anything to have my baby back.
My poor baby girl passed away, she was in extreme critical condition with a blood sac surrounding her heart which was slowly killing her. I rushed her to this pet urgent care facility since it was the closest to me at the moment. I sat there for 20min, let me repeat that ...20 minutes ...... without anyone putting a finger on my baby to help her . I was in a room with her and the doctor, the doctor just wanted to get my money and didnt care about my baby dying on the floor in front of him . She was limp, unresponsive, bout to die and the doctor says .... sorry and walks away refusing to help me with a slight smile on his face . So I picked my baby and rushed her to VetMed and wow wat a difference. As soon as I walked thru the doors of VetMed, they instantly grabbed my girl and rushed her into the back to start an IV and CPR if necessary to sustain her before even talking to me about money. Unfortunately she had a cancerous tumor on her heart that couldnt be helped .. I am soooo incredibly heart broken and upset . Please please please let this post get as many views as possible... dont bring your pets to Pet Urgent cuz they dont care about your pet, they only care about your money... please please please spread this post if possible. Im so depressed now cuz of my dog passing and everytime I think of how thses Pet Urgent people treated her .... it just breaks my heart :(
Thank you pet urgent care for saving our little Mollies life. She had a life threatening infection and pet urgent care went above and beyond to make sure our baby was taken care of. Mollie and us are super greatful for all your services. They truly do care. 🐾 Highly Recommend
Our rescue uses this vet often for emergencies and for full service purposes. Never disappointed, staff is friendly, and vets are always extremely informative and friendly/helpful.
Unfortunately, my experience wasnt the greatest. I begrudgingly took my mutt into this facility, as my vet and seemingly every vet in Phoenix was booked for another week, and my dog had injured his front paw playing with another dog and could hardly walk so my options were limited. Before I took him in, I noticed that the claw on the offending paw was crooked and I felt that was the main problem considering he could move his joints about freely. I wont complain about the wait time (3 and a half hours total) since it is an urgent care facility so that is to be expected and they were very busy. When we were finally seen, the vet thought he saw the bottom of a cactus quill or something similar stuck in his paw pad. I did mention that his claw looked odd but that notion was dismissed. They explained that they would need to put him under sedation ($55 on top of the normal visit cost $75), and if the problem was not a foreign object, they would need to do an x-ray ($170). After taking him away, they told me to stick around as the entire process should only take about 20-30 minutes. Now, I mentioned earlier that I wasnt angry about my total time spent there. However, what upset me was the fact that I ended up sitting there for about an hour and 20 minutes waiting for my dog to come out. I inquired a few times with the assistant at the service desk about what was going on but her responses were either Im not exactly sure, or theyll let you know if there are any updates. Anyways, he eventually came out and the conclusion was that it was a bad sprain as his bone structure was fine and there were not any foreign objects. I didnt really understand how a dog can possibly get a sprain on their paw rather than at an actual joint, but they prescribed him some pain meds and sent us on our way. Everything costed me about $340.Fast forward to this past Saturday: I was taking my dog on a short walk (doctors orders) and as another dog passed us by, my mutt did his usual barking and hopping about routine. During this moment, he slammed his front paws into the pavement, and produced a rather loud yelp. He then held up the same paw from before, and as I took a look, what did I see? Surprise, surprise, the same nail I had mentioned before was now completed twisted to the side and bleeding profusely. I ended up taking him to a different (and much nicer) urgent care facility, and they ended up having to remove the claw entirely, which cost me about $250. I did mention to the vet that I had taken him to another facility prior, and when I informed him of what they told me, he couldnt believe it.Basically, I gave you folks a cozy $340 for absolutely nothing, and I sure as hell know I wont be getting ANY of it back despite the fact that you, as professionals, should have taken into consideration that his claw was messed up rather than just simply ignoring it. Im not a vet but even I could tell that it didnt look right! I thought I paid you for a diagnoses but instead I paid you to tell me what it wasnt.I will not be returning to this facility, and if inquired by others, I will be directing them elsewhere. I only gave you two stars because the staff was, overall, friendly. But that sadly wont give me my money back now, will it?
My mom brought her senior pit mix in because he was attacked by her other dog. He had a huge open cash across his neck and needed to be seen immediately. She waited for 2.5 hrs to be seen! Then, was given 2 estimates. $900 and change to just put a dressing on it and then take to her own vet Tuesday to stitch it up, or $1300 and change to stitch it up. Of course she wanted it stitched up! She went with the $1300, had to go back at 2am to pick him up, and was told they could not stitch it up cuz he was moving too much! Are u kidding me!?! No anesthesia!!?! And they still charged her $1300 fi4 basically doing nothing but waste time! Booooooo u guys are horrible and should be ashamed!!!
I think a lot of people leave reviews under this business that are intended for VetMed which is across the street on Cave Creek Road (behind Uhaul). Pet Urgent Care (also called PetER) was amazing with my dog and helped me during a very stressful time. He is still recovering from his surgery, but the staff and Dr. Stephen Gilson were professional, caring and understanding of the financial strain. The follow up care has been responsive and helpful. My calls are answered or returned. I believe Dr. Gilson and his staff are caring and compassionate individuals who do the best they can to help animals and their owners.
Dr. Stephen Gilson is an awesome vet. My dog was in major pain all night. Monday morning i called different facilities and the earliest they could see my dog was Tuesday morning. I did not want to wait that long. I called this place and they told me to come on by. They helped diagnose my dog and provided the appropriate diagnosis. The best part was that the did not try to upsell me on getting things that i did not need. They also provided the prescription medication onsite and did not overcharge me. Every place i have been to tries to upsell me and they overprice their prescriptions. So I appreciate their honesty and due diligence. Its what you expect and appreciate in a vet practice. I would recommend this fine establishment to my friends and family. If you go there ask for Dr. Stephen if he is available because he has years of experience, is personable, and very smart.
Dont take your dog here!!!! This place needs to be closed down. Our family dog was dying and they didnt do anything to help her... the doctor was more interested in giving us quotes on how much everything costs instead of tending to my dying dog on the floor!!!! Take your pet to VetMed instead. It’s close by and they tend to your dog immediately!!!
Very nice place! Took my huskies there and they did an amazing job!
Not sure about Zacharys visit. I dont think an extra $10 is something to be upset about. I actually had the opposite experience. I have been charged like crazy by past vets.Office visit is only $50 which is great for urgent pet care that allows walk ins! Besides this I just paid for the meds themselves. People were friendly & professional. No sweats or hoodie? Prices are great. I know going elsewhere I would be charged double. They truly do strive to be affordable for pet parents.
Very sad that Dr. Samson is no longer here. She was always so kind and put the animals first. This weekend I called for help on a refill for a chronic springtime allergy condition and they insisted I come in to establish a new Dr relationship. When I explained that I was between pay days and wondered if they could work with me, I received a solid no without an ounce of empathy. I am a nurse and understand the need to examine a patient to safely prescribe, the tough luck attitude was pretty disheartening. I used to love this place. Seems to have changed a bit and not for the better.***update*** I was able to schedule an appt for my poor pup at the VCA at McCormick Ranch. They offer a free initial visit with a coupon you can request at the VCA website.
I took my dog Laika here on the day after she stopped eating. We went on a Saturday. I asked to leave work and I kept calling to make an appointment and they said to just come in anytime before 8PM. I took my baby in and was seen pretty quickly for being a walk in. She tested positive for Parvo and after explaining the virus thoroughly and our options began treatment quickly. They gave me pricing beforehand which was very doable. Obviously I was very terrified and called frequently with questions and they answered with kindness and patience. ALOT OF PATIENCE. I did have tp take her in the next day to get more fluids because we were doing treatment at home and she was not drinking water at all. After that we had to force food and liquids small amounts at a time as well as give her medication that they prescribed. After the sixth day she seemed as good as new. Eating and drinking on her own!I absolutely feel that she is alive because of the wonderful people there. Thank you so much for saving my little Laika! You guys saved her life!
Great vet, great hours for the working people. Reasonable prices
Posted by Debra MascarelliThe vet and vetenary assistant were both amazing during one of the most difficult times of my life, the loss of my four legged child. My dog was 13 years old and had been very sick for awhile, I fought having to give her up. The time came much quicker than I wanted or planned. After a dramatic decline over 24 hours I realized she would never make it to the regular vet appointment we had in two days. In desperation I called the urgent care fearing not only the inevitable loss but the cost of urgent or emergent care (last time I took her to an emergency clinic they wanted $1500 to keep her over night, give her 2 doses of oral meds). When I inquired about the cost here at Pet Urgent Care I had to ask for it to be repeated I thought I heard them wrong, the price they quoted and charged me was $100 less than the vet I had planned to take her to. But more than the cost it was the amazing care they took of my Dulce and us. The compassion of both the vet and vet assistant made the painful experience easier to bear and for that we are most grateful.
This was one of the worst visits that I have ever experienced in having the pleasure of owning a pet. From when we walked in the place was a ghost town. We were recommended by our vet to see them as our 9 week old puppy had diarrhea and she threw up a couple times. Just out of pre-caution I decided to take her there. We were told the appointment would be $45 before going to the back room. We were also told the Parvo test was going to be $45 as well by the assistant. Once those test were done the Vet walked in, in sweat pants and a hoody. Not what I would call the most professional attire but that is beside the point. He said that the Parvo came back negative but we should be concerned because there is a high likelihood that the test is a false negative. After he started taking a look at my puppy he said she was really sick. He kept pushing us to get blood work, blood glucose tests, X-rays and so on. He also recommended us getting her hospitalized because he just kept insisting that she was very sick. He kept pushing more tests and kept mentioning spending more money on her. VERY SALES PITCHY! There was no genuine care for our puppy. At this point we decided it was best to see how she was for the night and see our primary Vet in the morning. He then mentioned that he had some sort of relationship with them and was started to explain and looked at us and said well... I just wont get into that situation or place. As if he thought they were not a reputable vet. Before we left the room he said he would email us dismissal papers... We waited for ten minutes in the waiting room after paying for everything... The sad thing is after the told us the exam was $45 and the parvo was $45 we were charged $100 and they said it was $50 for each.... I will never go back to this Pet hospital, I will never recommend anyone I know to see this place. IT WAS THE MOST FRUSTRATING AND UNPROFESSIONAL AND INSINSINCRE EXPERIENCE EVER! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!! IF I COULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS I WOULD!ON TOP OF IT ALL I RECEIVED A CALL FROM MANAGEMENT THAT WAS REALLY JUST THE NURSE THAT LIED TO ME AND TOLD ME THE PRICING ON THE PARVO TEST. THEY CONTINUED TO ARGUE WITH ME AND SAY THAT EVERYTHING THAT I WAS SAYING WAS WRONG BECAUSE THEY WERE CROSSCHECKING THE NOTES AND THE DR IS RIGHT AND BECAUSE HE IS THE DR. WORST EXCUSE EVER!!!!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff
