Amazing customer service experience. The customer service rep was very transparent with costs- even what the cost was to diagnose the issue.Also because we are a commercial building we needed to set up an account. They were prompt, quick and set this up in the same day. The technician William was prompt, friendly, very knowledgeable. He did check to ensure the unit was working properly before explaining to me what the issue was when our other tech inspected it. Very reliable, helpful and a great team of people to work with.

Dave was very professional and a good communicator with what he was going to do and what he did when he finished the maintenance of our heating and AC system. He also pointed out potential pack rat infestation by one of the condensers which we will point out to our exterminator. He was super helpful and want him back if we can get him.

AC drain line clogged. Contacted this morning and they offered and came out same day. Have had zero regrets buying and installing these units 8 years ago from them and glad to see they are still around providing excellent service.

Despite record temperatures experienced this week, their response was quick. We couldnt endure another night in the 90s indoors. Our service technician David Gutierrez responded promptly and was able to keep our 19 year old system working until they are able to come out next month and install a new Carrier system. They were willing to wave the cost of the motor fan needed to keep the old unit running with the purchase of a new system. Other reputable companies were not willing to do so. When its 118 degrees outside, you tend to appreciate that. We appreciate Howard Air and highly recommend their services.

Technician was very professional and explained the problem thoroughly. Provided information and photos each step of the way before performing any service task to ensure I knew why and how it would be remedied. Afterwards provided tips to improve performance and life of my equipment. A very pleasant experience at a good value.

Everything was great the only minor goof was my lot number someone Transposed the 6 in to a 9 so they drove up to my Neighbors. But that was a easy fix. The work was fast, good Quality and the prices was great and a lot less that I thought it would be. Give them a call you will not go wrong.

Uneven cooling has been an issue since I moved into my house. While some differences are expected, too much heat was always present in one half of the house. Eric went into our attic (a terrifying place for me to go even in the winter) with the confinement and heat and made adjustments making it possible to feel cool air coming out of a living room vent for the first time ever after living here for over ten years. I was pleased from the moment I called to set up an appointment and spoke with Victor. He was very pleasant and set me up not trying to hard sell me on a maintenance package right away assuring me that the technician would be the same way, telling me only what needed to be done and give recommendations for the future. He was right, Shawn, the technician who came out to do the AC maintenance, was very friendly. He also wore a mask and booties on his shoes in my home which I thought was very responsible and respectful. When he was finished, he told us how the inspection went and that everything was good for now and what he recommended for the future of our units along with the service plan that would fit our needs. The Best part was, he didnt pressure us to sign up for the plan at that moment, giving us time to think, which I very much like. We purchased our air conditioning unit from Howard Air and subscribe to their maintenance program. They have always provided an excellent product and superior service at a reasonable price. Their tech, Chris Reeves, has been to our home several times. He is professional, thorough and goes above and beyond to insure our AC unit functions at peak performance.

I was called twice within my time frame to give me an update on the actual time the serviceman would arrive. The time was well-within the window I was originally given. Then, the serviceman arrived and was SUPER friendly. He then told me what he would be doing first. Our air conditioner went out at 7:00pm, called Howard Air at 7:45pm. A tech came out by 9pm, and we had cold air at 9:30pm. It was a bad capacitor. Tech was very knowledgeable and friendly. Price and service was fantastic!

Carlos Aguilar came to our house after a long day beginning at 7 am. He arrived a bit after 6 pm and stayed until about 8:30 pm this past Friday. While here he replaced a fan and did some diagnostic work. I understand that he had another residence to visit and was there until about 11:30 pm. He returned today and completed his work here. Things seem to be working. We appreciated Mr. Aguilars good nature, persistence and efforts and hope he is well-treated by you folks.

Paid for emergency service $147.00 non-refundable fee on Friday 8/6 and was told new air compressor needed to be fixed. I had to contact Howard Air on 8/7 for next steps to get it fixed, they did not call me. Was told by lady on 8/7 she would contact me on 8/9 to schedule when a/c could be fixed and take my credit card. Was never contacted on 8/9 or 8/10 by lady after she knew our unit was not working at all. Highly recommend to not use Howard Air!Update: Even though it says someone would contact me, as of 8/16/21 nobody from Howard Air ever contacted me. Very disappointing.

I originally called about a year ago to take advantage of their free second opinion. I had P****r and Sons out and they wanted several thousand dollars for needed repairs. I don’t remember that tech’s name but he spent quite a long time assessing my AC. He said that there were some issues but nothing that needed immediate attention and to just wait until there was an actual issue as the unit was operating as it should. And again... that service was free!I called them recently to do a routine maintenance check. Aaron came out on time, masked and looking professional. He told me he and reviewed notes from the previous visit and asked me about any concerns. He spent a good 2 hours going over the unit. Then he took pictures, made notes and explained in detail what he had found. Basically, he said everything looked fine and that considering it was 2 years old to not spend a lot of money if something should go wrong and consider a new unit when that time comes. But for now, it doesn’t need anything.After he left, I got an automated email from Bryant saying “possible frozen coil.” The AC was working fine. I called the office and they said they wanted to come back and check it out. Diego came the next day. We talked for quite a while about how the thermostat works, software updates and WiFi issues with almost all newer thermostats. The he went up and did a thorough check of the unit and declared it in good working condition. No charge!Good customer service, friendly, knowledgeable and professional! Can’t go wrong with Howard Air!!

Almost everything was perfect, timely, efficient, knowledgeable, but one thing was peculiar. The technician put on shoe covers so he did not get the floor dirty as soon as he entered. Great job! I appreciate the gesture and showing of respect. That was the only time he wore them. He went out and back in two or three times. He got the floor dirty in the area he was working near the thermostat. Shoe covering would have prevented this. Why did he stop wearing them? Why didn’t he clean the floor?

John Dicecco was able to make an after hours diagnostics and repair action on my AC outside condenser unit that went down hard in 115 degree heat. John was great, he was able to diagnose that the run capacitor was dead and installed a brand new one, and I asked about installing an additional start capacitor. He had all the parts and was able to effect the repairs in under an hour. John is very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining all of the work that he was doing. He also checked out the condensate line just to make sure it was working correctly. Its unfortunate that Carrier only rates these ACs for operation up to 108 degrees, but we do live in Phoenix so I would recommend to install a start capacitor to reduce the wear and tear on your outside AC condenser unit. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Howard Air. Thx John ! - Rick

Pat and John (Jon?) were very professional, on time, exceptionally respectful of our property, and went above and beyond in the installation. We had a mini-split added in an area where a majority of the system is in the front of our home. They took their time and made sure to do everything in their powers to reduce the visual impact the AC unit had on the street view of our home.

We had a total gut job with a new heating and AC system as well as new ducting, air vents and a second return air vent as well. Howard Air was professional from the minute Scott came out to give us our bid. They set a time to install and then followed up a couple days before to confirm. The morning of the install, Pat and Josh came right on time and finished a long, hot job all in one day. They cleaned up every mess so that you wouldn’t have even known they were there other than all the new equipment. After they were finished they stayed and walked us through the set up of the thermostat and answered all our questions. We 100% recommend this company for all your AC and heating needs.

I’ve used Howard Air for years with great results. I called for an A/c check up the tec. arrived I showed him around and I had an appointment so left him there with my wife to finish up. I came home later and asked my wife how did Howard air do? She said he never got in the attic to check the air handler didn’t even check the filter so $130.00 to clean coils outside with the hose. Then he tried to sell her a start capacitor for $400.00 I called and complained and they sent another tec. To finish the job. I have always thought Howard air was honest and straight forward but now I don’t know. I am wondering if the original owners sold the company? Operating like a typical a/c rip off company!

Called 5 April at 7 am, talked with Amber and got a same day appt to fix my AC. Amber was very friendly, pleasant and helpful informing me that my AC could be fixed between 12 and five. He diagnosed my AC problem, performed service maintenance, explained what the malfunction was, what it would cost to fix and repaired it in a timely manner. Sorry, but the info you have to go on is in error.1) I was the ONLY one talking to your people until 4:30/5:00 pm Wednesday.2) yes, i cancelled the first appointment and rescheduled. THAT IS NOT WHAT MY COMPLAINT WAS ABOUT, as the clerk was very nice in rescheduling. It was about the rescheduled time and location.3) i rescheduled for a wednesday. I repeated that back to the clerk and she said yes Wednesday. I asked from 1:30 to 6:00 time frame...your clerk said yes when i repeated that. Your clerk repeated my address and i said yes and i repeated my address and again your clerk said yes (that has been my custom no matter who i call for service....repeat info and make the business verbally reply back...prevents misunderstandings).4) what your clerk put in your system evidently was thursday with an address that was 60 blocks east of my location as evidenced by my call on Wednesday in the late afternoon....more than likely a typo.5) after i told the second person what your dispatch told me, the second person called (on Wednesday) to ask when will technician arrive. When they told her the same she cancelled and we went to another company. (The 2nd person NEVER had your number untill i gave it to her after my call on wednesday to see when the tech would arrive). The other company we called said they would be there on Saturday between 1 and 5 And they showed up at 11:30 and had the system of up and running by 12:15 (2 bad starter capacitors).We know our systems are old and will need to be replaced in the near future. This was a test to see how well you would service us if we did purchase the replacements from your business. YOU FAILED! And on top of that belittled us in you reply. I repeated everything back to your clerk and made them reply in the affirmative yet they entered it wrong in your system. I even checked reviews for your company here and elsewhere and found two other instances of the same exact type of complaint...granted given the number of positive reviews my complaint is rare.....but it is still valid. Note: i am not complaining of how well and competent your repair people are (based on all the reviews they are very good). My complaint centers on the attempt to schedule a repair.Scheduling demands several pieces of information....time, place, and contact information. Your clerk had the right contact info but left off a digit in my address and entered the wrong date. The fact that they left off a digit in my address suggest a simple typo and more than likely a typo occurred on the date. Customer mistakes generally occur on one item not multiple items and especially when typos occur it is usually the input clerks error.So yes i respectfully dispute your reply. You have my number if you want to discuss further

Diagnostic testing was performed on two A/C units. The service was performed by Erik who was courteous and knowledgeable. He was thorough and explained a lot to me. Well done!!

When Shawn Frye 1st walked in the door I proceeded to instruct him that the most important reason for his visit was the thermostat and that I wanted the same as my business partner purchased, he proceeded to tell me he didn’t have one and tried to sell me 1 of 2 different ones that were not WiFi capable. He said he’d look back on the truck but 1st would look at the unit. Inspections and service in your company must be a wave of a wand as he wasn’t up there more than 4-5 minutes. He came back in with a torn up box of the HoneyWell VisionPro and proceeded to open a book and show me a price of over $600, not the $525 he wrote in his report and I explained that my business partner paid $325 (again, not the $200 in his report) and that was unacceptable. I asked him to leave and have his company bill me as I wasnt going to pay for a service that I didnt receive.I did find the HoneyWell Vision Pro Thermostat, not for $600 or $300 but only $130.00 and installed it myself in less than 15 minutes. Ill be looking for a new HVAC company to service my unit.
