My daughter started at Martial Arts Hero Factory in January and I must say she absolutely adores it! Not only is she learning a new skill, but it is also contributing to her social/ emotional skills, focus, and discipline!! I couldn’t ask for a better organization and it’s so welcoming and Sensei really pays attention to the children and shows genuine support and care! As a parent that’s amazing to witness!

My daughter started taking the karate classes a couple of months ago and she is almost 14. She was afraid she was too old to start but that is not the case at all. She goes as many nights as they have open for her and it is great to see her so motivated especially during the pandemic. She is getting great exercise, forming friendships, and most importantly learning to respect the Martial Arts as a skill set and way of approaching life each day. My son has been taking classes with Sensei John for over a year now and he ABSOLUTELY loves it. He has gained focus, confidence and an admiration of martial arts since he started. Last year his birthday party was at the Martial Arts Hero Factory and the kids couldn’t have had a better time. Sensei really knows how to work with and handle all types of kids (quiet, shy, active, unfocused...) I would definitely recommend these classes to all ages !! Get your kids off of the iPads and get them over to the hero factory :) !!!

My son loves going to karate. He really enjoys working with Sensei John. We use not going to karate as a consequence if he doesn’t have good behavior. I like how Sensei John has control of the class so the kids are learning to respect someone in authority. I also love the friends he’s making in class.

My six year old son has thoroughly enjoyed the past year training at Martial Arts Hero Factory. We have seen an improvement in his confidence levels and his ability to take direction. Sensei and Mr. John have used techniques that have created a learning environment that is both educational and engaging. The classes go beyond just learning how to kick and punch. Martial Arts Hero Factory instills discipline, respect and self-confidence. We are grateful that this is part of my son’s week and he looks forward to his time spent at karate. He leaves with a smile on his face, a feeling of accomplishment and excitement about working towards his next belt.

The website shows little kids that couldn’t be more than 8yrs old wearing black belts. I would be very skeptical of the effectiveness of this karate when they are giving out belts like that so easily to kids.

The Martial Arts training has instilled more confidence in my son. He is able to deal with aggressive children and often steps up to assist other children who are being bullied. Overall the training has has a positive impact on him. The team at hero factory always puts the needs of the students first, while teaching them respect and self control. I would recommend the Hero Factory to anyone interested.

We have enrolled both our children, ages 3 and 4. It was recommended by a friend and has been one of the best things we did for our children. The instructors are so nice as are the parents and students. Sensei John is firm but kind. He handles the little ones perfectly. This is definitely a place your child can learn and grow and have fun!

Brought my 4year granddaughter here and she and I love it. The staff is so patient with the children, they instruct them on their level/ability to learn. The atmosphere is friendly and nurturing as well as clean and organized.

If I could give the Martial Arts Hero Factory more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! My kids are in love with this place. They ask me everyday if they are able to go. They have grown so strong, both mentally and physically, in such a short amount of time. They get so excited to receive new stripes, because it gives them such a sense of confidence knowing that they earned them. I can’t tell you how proud I am of them but more importantly how proud they are of themselves. Not only are they learning and growing but they are having a blast doing it! One of the best class that I signed up for my daughter!!! She enjoyed the class structure and all the activities that they do during the class. Sensei John is firm with the kids but he can also makes kids laugh and have so much fun in his class. My son has been going to the Martial Arts Hero Factory for a little over a year. The positive changes we have seen in him are a direct result of the hard work his instructors put into the classes. My daughter started this school a little over a month ago and she loves it!! Mr. John is wonderful with the children. He knows how to have fun with the kids while teaching them Karate skills. He also teaches the kids to be attentive and respectful. I highly recommend this school to everyone.

The program at Martial Arts Hero Factory is incredible! It is the perfect mix of discipline and fun! Both of my kids have started only 2 months ago and are completely hooked! My son has improved immensely physically and mentally. He has always feared being the center of attention and has held himself back physically out of fear of being embarrassed or even applauded. My son is 4.5 and has been going to weekly karate classes for the past four months. He really looks forward to attending the Saturday morning classes. His balance and coordination has noticeably improved in just a few short months. The teachers create a warm, fun, and educational atmosphere for the children. I started my daughter (4) a few months ago and this program is great. She is always excited for class. She practices at home and simply cant get enough karate! I have seen improvement in her focus, confidence and strength. She seems happier and enjoys being more active. She listens better too! It is great to be able to reference things that she has leaned in class and apply those lessons to other areas of life. Sensei and Johanna are a wonderful team and what they are doing for these youngsters is good for the kids as well as the community. I see this being a long term commitment that will aid our little girl in many areas as she grows into a responsible adult.

Wow, just wow! This place is amazing and such an experience all around. Sensei John expects a lot even out of the preschoolers and it works. The kids love being taken seriously and held to high standards. He really gives kids confidence. And he really treats boys and girls equally. I respect that so much. The atmosphere is very family- like.

Hello my name is Sitia C, ever since my son Averi has been attending the Martial Arts Hero Factory, Ive noticed that he has become more self confident in all aspects of his life. At school hes eager to show his friends what he is learning, so much that they would like to join too. Ive talk to a few parents already and gave information about this facility. This program is great exercise for the kids, and an added bonus is that Averis sleep has drastically improved which is an even bigger plus for me as his parent! I started class thinking i would take for a while, while I enjoyed it and got something out of it. 10 years later I am still growing and learning and enjoying Sensei John McGonigle and his excellent classes. His approach is based in real life reaction attack scenarios and his classes reflect that while not losing the deep history and tradition of karates Okinawan roots. Please note: My son, Anthony is telling me what to type.I like karate because it is fun and will help protect me. Punching and kicking pads, sock-mon and porkchops are good exercise. My classmates are friendly and Sensei John is an awesome teacher. I like that Sensei John is also teaching my dad.

This review is from my son Tyler, who is 6 years old and started taking classes in January (about 8 months ago). I like taking classes at Martial Arts Hero factory a WHOLE LOT. In the class I have learned how to do back kicks, Taikyoku Shodan (not sure if Im spelling it right), and that I can break a piece of wood with my hands or knee!! I never thought I could do that! Ive also learned about listening - I do what my Mom or Dad tell me - the first time they ask. (Mom: here - this is the truth!). I also like the other kids in the class and the fun stuff like laser tag, and nerf gun battles.

My husband and I are blown away by what our son, Santino, is learning in karate. We wanted to send our son to karate for discipline and exercise. He is not in preschool, so we wanted him to have a classroom experience as well. Parents, this school is fabulous! Our son loves Sensei and looks up to him as a mentor already. He wants that black belt! We have seen Santino grow in discipline, focus, manners and strength. He not only has learned karate form and technique at a young age, but everyday social skills and emotional needs are constantly reinforced. If you ask our son what his favorite part is, it would be Superhero Week! We love how they incorporate the fun as well! Thank you, thank you!

Krav Maga class was great. Learned a lot, had fun, and a great workout. Instructors are dedicated to there kids and its a great safe environment.

Next month will be two years that we started our journey here. My son is now one month away from being seven and has grown and learned so much these past two years. There were times when I felt all was moving too fast, but I simply needed to trust the process. Sensei John and Mr. John certainly have a great thing going at this dojo. Both Sensei John and Mr. John are great with the kids; their ability to make the class fun while they are teaching the kids the necessary karate skills is nothing short of amazing. I have been a student of Sensei John McGonigle’s for almost 5 years. Ive seen a lot of people start at the dojo, and it doesn’t matter if it’s your first day or your 5th year, everyone is treated with respect and encouraged to do their best.
