My experience with the Center City Express Employment Professionals is a very good experience. They have worked with me to find the temporary jobs that best suits my experience, and it has worked out for me. My assignment is a good placement getting me more experience working in the Data Entry field. I want to say thank you to Thomas McBride @ Express Employment Professionals Philadelphia.

This employment agency I would not recommend to anyone is anything other than a black African. Receptionist is black, and is extremely racist. I walked in there for a scheduled interview and as I was walking in she was talking to a black applicant like they were best friends, and she told him they were going to hook him up with something. Because they were talking at the desk I went in and had a seat. When they were done talking she looked at me, and her tone completely changed and she was like next in the most unprofessional unenthusiastic tone. She look at my application, and told me I had only applied to their company for dishwashing positions. I am certain that I did not apply only for that, I applied 4 general labor positions. So she told me in the most unprofessional and unenthusiastic voice that since I only applied for dishwashing jobs and dont have any dishwashing experience, they could not help me with anything and turn me away. Like I said I was there for a scheduled interview, and because of the receptionist oh, I never even got to the interview portion. Very obviously racially motivated receptionist who is only interested in getting Africans jobs. If you are not black, dont even waste your time going there. To make matters worse, another employment agency had offered me a full day of work the same day as the scheduled interview with the center City office of Express employment. Since I wanted to see all of my employment options I elected to turn down the day of work to go on the interview. So not only did I waste my time, I also missed out on a very much needed full days wages. Like I said, if youre not black, dont waste your time going to the center City Express employment office. To all the people who want to write a negative comeback or write negative feedback to this post of mine, dont even bother because youre wasting your time, because Im not gonna see it. Ive already been declined employment with the company and, as you can see, Ive already left my opinions and feedback regarding my experience with the company, so I have no reason to return to this page.

Unprofessional. Dropped the ball on verifying hours worked for their employees. Called to pick up my check and was told oh the client never got back to us. So instead of being a professional establishment and following up on issues they forget about it. But I bet all of the in house staff was and are always paid correctly and on time...and this was my first assignment with them. Needless to say I rather not deal with a company who doesnt value their employees enough to make sure they get paid correctly and on time.

I interviewed with a staffing member @ Express in June 2017. The interview consisted of asking about me; job experience, preferences for work, hours, etc. Paperwork included declining their insurance, a direct deposit form, and the standard pre-employment info. I went to take a keying test that afternoon for a particular client they represented, and after a couple of days and calls to them to find out how I placed with their client, I HEARD NOTHING BACK. In the interim I was hired by a company that folded w/n a month. I called Express back and they placed me in a position w/n 3 days. But understand, in the interim from interview day to the day I lost my new job, I HEARD NOTHING FROM THEM.I am now employed with a company that wants to hire me with full benefits and a living salary. Express will not release me from a contract w/a minimum of 700 hours to work for them. AT NO POINT WAS A MINIMUM OF 700 HOURS DISCUSSED WITH ME NOR IN PAPERWORK I SIGNED. Furthermore, they want the company I work for to buy me out so I can work for my new employer. I have never heard of anything like this before. Why would you hold someone up from earning a decent salary, vacation time, sick, time, personal time, and insurance? You dont earn anything with Express...if you are sick, you lose time. If there is a holiday, they do not pay you nor does your employer since you dont work for them but for the temp agency. So, again, WHY WOULD EXPRESS HOLD ANY EMPLOYEE BACK WHO HAS BEEN OFFERED A GOOD JOB W/BENEFITS AND NOT RELEASE THEM FROM THEIR CONTRACT?And in general, the recruiter I have worked with has been less than professional on a few issues, response time back to my queries is slow, the manager of the company has yet to respond to my requests to s/w him or her.....however I must say the young woman at the front desk is polite and tries to help. I would not recommend Express staffing just for the unprofessionalism I have experienced and the fact they will hold someone for ransom instead of moving on and earning a better salary w/benefits.

Theyre very biased and rude. I have been lied to several times by this company with them denying I got a job, when a company actually called me back themselves asking did I accept another offer. I wouldnt recommend this agency to anyone.

I was taking my boyfriend to his express appointment because he doesnt have a car. We get there and the receptionist wasnt there for 10min. Then whenever she does get there she looks both of us up and down and asks rudely what we wanted. He said that he had an appointment at 2 and I said I was with him. She then looks at me and says I cant be here because its like a job interview and it reflects that Ill always be with him. I asked her if I could just stay in the waiting room because I was his ride. She very rudely said no and I would have to leave. If me waiting in the waiting room for him to get done is a bad reflection on his work ethic what does not even being at your desk and then kicking someone out look like? They are in desperate need of a new receptionist, one who is nice, like theyre supposed to be!

So Ghetto and extremely unprofessional. No training for a staffing consultant position. The people in the office have no umph or life they are very dull and judgemental and for no reason at all threatened by other females that come on board. The only individual who was pleasant and honest was nyficia. She should own the place by now because she does everyones damn job!
