Update: had an impromptu root canal yesterday (August 2021) my first one after a filling removal for a crown revealed a really thin membrane or something that would be better to address now rather than later, and everything went really well and it was not nearly as scary as someone thinks when they hear root canal. I absolutely recommend this office to everyone!Original: I have been coming to this dentist for a couple years since I moved to Philly. Everyone is super friendly but also very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. The dentists take the time to address any questions or concerns you may have, and the ladies at the front help you understand your bill or estimate. Overall, an amazing office!

JUST DON’T GO THERE! They treat patients awfully. All the staff is horrible, from the doctors to the cleaning specialist and to the receptionist. I’m never going in my life to that place! Run a away from there! Instead go to SMILE TEAM! They are great and they actually explain what’s going on and they have respect for patients.PS: In Smile Team the office is prettier, cleaner and smells nice!

Looking over the reviews, it seems patients either love them or hate them; there is not much in between. Here is my experience. I went in for a cleaning. The front desk staff was nice but the dental assistance appeared to be not well trained and was clumsy and excruciatingly slow. At the end of the visit, he also told me that the dental hygienist agreed with the doctor. Hello! Shouldnt it be the other way around? To make it short, there was exam -- not your usual exam where the dentist checks each tooth and calls out a number, but only x-rays (clumsily and painfully done), and then the dentist looking into my mouth and telling me I needed 2 crowns. Then I was supposed to schedule an appointment for periodontal maintenance (the hygienist agrees with the doctor). I insisted I just wanted a cleaning -- thats what I had scheduled the appointment for (the periodontal treatments are done by my periodontist). The hygienist (rudely) told me she didnt have time for a cleaning and offered me a future date. I walked out. Yesterday I had an appointment at another dental office and got my teeth cleaned on the spot. There were new x-rays (done competently) and an exam by the dentist, and no mention of new crowns. In 3 months I will have my periodontal maintenance treatment with my periodontist, and all is well.

Dr. Lewis, Alvi, Alisha, Deb, everyone here is killin it. Everyone made me feel safe and at home. My numbing injections were quick and I didn’t feel a thing when I got my fillings (6 of them). Dr. Lewis and Alisha were very cool, let me listen to music while they operated and set a really calm tone for the operation. Amazing people working here, they show a lot of care and I’m grateful for it.

The entire staff was great. Everyone is so friendly and they are great at helping you to relax if you are nervous about going to the dentist. They are so gentle. The treatment was painless. I would recommend them to everyone.

The doctors and staff members are professional, very courteous and caring. Their facilities are always clean and well disinfected between patients and adhere to all appropriate guidelines. They are well equipped and up-to-date in terms of their equipment and technology. Services are provided to patients in a timely manner according to their appointment time. Although the rating method goes up to five stars, I will personally rate (Dr David Louis) ten stars. It is a pleasure to go for my necessary dental services. I highly recommend.

I made an appointment to get a procedure done. While I’m face to face with the front desk personnel, I asked her what was the cost for everything and she says they’ll call me and let me know and made a note to do it. Mind you I made this appointment month in advance. Is the week of the appointment and I call the office asking for the cost because I don’t want surprises at the dental office, the lady (Debbie) picks up the phone and say “we have been very busy this week. We’ll call you before your appointment”. I called a Tuesday and the appointment is Friday. No one called me. Is Friday and I called before the appointment to cancel and Debbie picks up again. She told me I had to cancel within 24h of my appointment. (If the personnel in the front desk have done their job, I wouldn’t have cancelled.) I told her that someone was suppose to call me and let me know the cost and she said rudely “you should’ve have called”, “what did you wanted us to call you about?”, “what were you expecting?” And I DID called. I can’t called them everything asking them to do something. At that moment I was done with that office.That doctor is great and but unfortunately the people in the front desk aren’t doing what they are there to do.

Ah where to start... as for my first appointment their computer systems were down so we couldnt go over my x-rays which wasnt a huge deal. Next appointment, I had to get a root canal done and get a crown. Unfortunately, they did not have enough time to finish so we made another appointment to get the crown as well as three fillings. So I go back again and there was a misunderstanding where they did not put in my appointment that I was getting a crown which was the main reason I made the appointment. The lady at the front desk even explained that she was making my appointment for two hours so we would have enough time since Ive already had a bad experience there. Luckily, they were able to complete the crown and the fillings. I must say the dentist and the two assistants are AMAZING! The front desk staff however, not so much... They were gossiping so loudly through half of my appointment which you can hear everywhere since there are no walls. I go to check out and two of the ladys wouldnt help me because they were still gossiping and the other was doing something. I understand they might have had a bad day or whatever but come on be a little more professional. They were talking about how they were so backed up because my appointment took too long (1 1/2 hours) when she told me she was making it for two hours... If it wasnt for the amazing dentist and assistants, I would not go back here.

So, I dont like going to the dentist, I dont like people in my mouth and I dont like having cleanings done. That said, this was about as good of a dentist experience as I could imagine having. Marissa was my hygienist and she was very nice and friendly and made the process of having my teeth cleaned as comfortable as is possible and did a great job. Dr. Gelbart was my dentist and he came in, explained everything very easily and clearly and even performed the filling that was needed right in that same appointment rather than making me come back. As far as dentist visits go, I have no complaints and will certainly be going back for the foreseeable future.

Friendly warm amazing staff and Dr. Gelbart is amazing. I had my first procedure yesterday and had 3 teeth removed. It was simple and almost painless and not rushed. I was well taken care of and my time felt so valued even on a Holiday and Im healing very nicely. Best dental experience ever.

Horrible! I was a new patient, and they tried to charge for services I didnt ask for and were not covered by my insurance. These services were not anything my previous dentists ever charged for. Then they tried to hide it by saying they were a co-pay. I called them out and they said they would refund me, but this did not happen. The dental assistant was horribly sadistic. Rough beyond belief, spraying water down my face, and onto my shirt. Im talking about my shirt being soaked, not droplets. She didnt seem to care that I was wincing in pain and at one point I had to ask her to stop because she wasnt getting the clue. Stay away!

Even though it was at 5pm, the appointment wasn’t rushed. Everyone went above and beyond for me. Dr. Gelbart was exceptional and assuaged my nerves. Will definitely return to this practice!

Horrible place!!!! A-Z is done by a dentist assistant rather than the dentist... I was supposed to get a dental crown... the dentist just showed up for a 1 min... said hi and disappeared!!!! his assistant performed all the procedures which was not clean at all... My GOD!!!! it was very disgusting... she did not sterilize anything before putting in my mouth!!!!!! Definitely it was my worst (disgusting in terms of hygiene of an office) doctor experience ... Im thinking to file a complaint against this dentist...Forgot to mention that another assistant did the cleaning... she was not professional at all and removed a large part of my lips while working on my teeth and talking with other folks in the office!!! Took my lips 4 weeks to heal after the injury!!!!!!!

Super friendly staff. I am not the biggest fan of going to the dentist, and the entire staff made this a great visit. They were comforting, and made sure I was comfortable. Theyre up front on costs and what to expect. Highly recommend and everyone was great!

Like most humans, I really hate going to the dentist but Dr Velasquez and his staff make it so quick, painless, and easy. They are friendly, charming, professional and make an obvious effort to make you feel comfortable. They have accepted both Delta Dental and Guardian I have had different insurances through different jobs and are just on top of their game. I also really like getting the text reminders. Props guys, you all rock.

Awesome experience, Incredibly helpful office manager and Dr Gelbart was very efficient. I required a bit of work done and didnt have insurance and they were willing to work with me to see if it was more affordable/easier to go elsewhere. In the end their services cost the same price and they were able to get it done for me the next morning.

I wish I had taken the online reviews more seriously before coming in. I came in for a small chipped tooth- something that can just be bonded (confirmed by 2 other dentists), but the dentist refused to do the work because they arent permanent and then people arent happy. They tried to up-sell me and have me get a crown! Not only was this unnecessary, but they wanted me to pay $600 for the TEMPORARY crown- and then another $1200 for a total of $2000 WITH INSURANCE. In speaking to other dentists (that are not in my network or else Id go there) they do not charge for the temporary crown- it is part of the cost. When I questioned this, the dentist still refused to do the work, and then his assistant was pushy about my decision. She also tried to scare me by saying if I didnt do it, my tooth would chip higher and that would be a root canal! Were talking about a small chip here, people. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. The only reason I am even giving 1 star is because the front desk lady was nice and tried to help, but I will NEVER return to this office. Run!UPDATE 7/20/19: After the dentist REFUSED to perform the work requested, and tried to sell me unnecessary work, they not only BILLED my insurance (which used my benefits for the period), but also sent on outstanding payment of FIFTEEN DOLLARS to a COLLECTION AGENCY! So they didnt do the small filling, then used my benefits so I couldnt elsewhere, then still charged me additional money that is now on my credit report!! What is wrong with these people?!?

Great experience overall. No wait, I was able to get an appointment next day. Reception staff was friendly, assistant, hygienist, and dentist were all very kind, funny, and straightforward. Plus the 42 hour work playlist!

I will definitely be returning here for any dental work I need. Dr. Gelbart took his time to assess and perform my root canal, took X-rays throughout to make sure everything looked good, and consistently updated me on the process. I greatly appreciate the attention to detail. Its been about a month since Ive gotten the crown on, and no pain or problems. The hygienists were kind and attentive, and overall the office vibe is very friendly. I had a couple terrible experiences elsewhere over the past few years, so it was a relief to find this team.

Yesterday was my first visit to Gentle Dental. The office was clean. The receptionist and dental technicians were friendly. I was seen within 10 minutes of my scheduled time. After taking xrays, my treatment plan was put in place. I had root canal done at another dental facility but never had it capped. The dentist at Gentle Dental put something in that tooth to strengthen it and had impressions made so that they can cap it in a few weeks. The dentist assigned to me talked and worked fast. He also made sure that I was as comfortable as possible.

The staff is friendly, the doctors were great.However, they completely hid the ball regarding the realities of what insurances they accept and how much of the cost is covered by insurance. Rather than explaining that information at the very beginning of my entrance, like every other medical/dental office that I have ever been to has done, they waited until I was well into my visit to explain that there is going to be an additional cost. And their explanation is simply that every insurance has a deductible and only covers a percentage. While that is true, certain insurances cover a higher percentage depending on whether the office in considered in or out of network. That information should have been explained and it never was.Bottom line: The got me. Make sure to ask the right questions so that they do not get you to.

I always have good experience when I go to GD center city. The front desk staff know me and always are kind. Denise, the DA is great and the Dr. always explains things well. I had a problem with a crown and had to return twice and they were great. Sent two friends to them as well.

To start, Id like to state the fact that I selected this dental care provider through my insurance company website, with no prior research. I selected it purely on its location, as it is very close to where I work. Once I scheduled my first appointment, I, inevitably, ended up here on Google, reading these horrible reviews. I honestly began to wonder what I had gotten myself in to, but I decided to just roll with it, and get my own opinion on the place.One thing that almost ALL of the negative reviews cited, was the wait time. In my experience, at almost ANY medical facility, there will be a wait time. In most cases, it will be at least 45 minutes, and you will rarely be seen at the exact moment of your appointment. I plan around this by leaving my schedule OPEN for HOURS after the scheduled time of my appointment, and... problem solved. A little patience can go a long way.As far as my visit, I arrived with plenty of time to fill out my paperwork, and was finished before my scheduled time. I settled in to watch The Talk on the flat screen TV, and waited for my name to be called (This, by the way, was the worst part of my visit. I cant believe people actually watch that show! ha ha.). The receptionists were fairly neutral, and certainly were not the grumps that the other reviews made them out to be, although, Id imagine that if you throw your own rudeness in their faces, they could dish it right back out to you.I was called back about 10-15 minutes after my scheduled time (really good, compared to other places Ive been), received my preliminary x-rays, and then sat in the patient chair for about five minutes, waiting on my dentist. She came in, introduced her herself, and gave my x-rays and mouth a once over, noting things as she went along. She gave me the low-down on my situation, and in about five minutes I had the list of pricing/insurance coverage in my hands. I had a few questions, which were promptly answered, and since some of it involved some changes to the list, it was immediately adjusted and reprinted for me to review. I ended up getting one filling, which was done in about five minutes (or at least very, very, fast.), and then they sent me on my way, just a bit more numb than when I came in. I was told to sit in the waiting area, until my charts came back, and within five minutes, I was out the door, and on my way home.Overall, it was one of the best dentist visits Ive EVER had, and I will tell you that it is worth any wait that you might have to go through. I will be back soon, Im sure. :)

This place is incredible! Dr. Gelbart is the man! I just met him last week and he is VERY good! He’s extremely knowledgeable, hilarious, and very patient with you. They are busy, like most dental offices I’ve come across in center city, but he answers all of your questions and doesn’t rush you. I look forward to going to him for all my dental work. Also, yesterday he filled a cavity in my far back wisdom tooth that a dentist in Rittenhouse Square was too scared to touch.. Well, he nailed it! (Not literally) He filled the cavity and saved my tooth from being pulled. Do yourself a favor and go to this guy!

HORRIBLE! They OVER CHARGED me. They did not back up their SHODDY JOB with NEITHER INTEGRITY OR DIGNITY as they BLAMED THE PATIENT (ME) for their INFERIOR LABOR and WANTED MORE MONEY out of my POCKET to FIX his BAD HANDIWORK.As a new patient they asked me to rate them. I rescind my favorable rating as their TREATMENT to me AS A RETURNING PATIENT WAS APPALLING!YOUVE BEEN WARNED!They CHARGED me $1005.00(cash out of pocket) for a CAP that GOT LOOSE WITHIN A YEAR AND EVENTUALLY CAME OUT. The young Asian dentist blamed me for his shoddy work! He said you came in as an emergency and you did not follow up with other dental needs( in need of bridge for bottom), you chewed with your cap. (1ST of all, duh, yeah! We use our teeth to chew! Youre the expert that was to fix the tooth in need so it can perform what it does best and THAT IS TO CHEW FOOD! ) Now, that being said...I have caps right next to his FAULTY ONE in my mouth that cost half the amount they charge and deacades later still in tact and I have been chewing on those caps for a couple decades! They turned me away because they WANTED MORE MONEY out of my pocket to fix his SHODDY WORK!His INFERIOR cap came out and now my gums are growing around some the metal ring where the his cap should be. That metal ring wont come out. I feel ill from this and I HONESTLY REGRET SEEKING THEIR HORRIBLE SERVICE. THEY CAUSED A BIGGER HEALTH PROBLEM FOR ME!

Not even lying, I almost gave up on this place when it was known as Gentle Dental. But I gave it one more chance out of desperation not realizing that it has a new name, new management, and a new outlook. Gone are the TVs blaring The View. Instead there is great music, and super friendly front of house staff. Dr. Gelbart is not only a great dentist, he is also hilarious. Everyone there seems to like each other. What a massive turn-around. I am so glad that I dont have to look for a new dentist now.

I had to receive dental care at a specific time, and unfortunately this was the only place that could see me within the given time frame. I wish this wasnt the case. The staff were abrasive with their service, and rushed through the work. Furthermore, Ive been trying for nearly 2 weeks to get a call back to receive follow up documents from them. I truly dont know what previous reviewers are talking about with Gentle Dentals service, but I can certainly tell you from my multiple experiences with this branch that they leave much to be desired.

I have previously been quite satisfied with my care at this practice, despite long waiting times for the dentist to actually get to your room. However, this week I had an experience that entirely changed my feelings about this office.I made an appt and when I arrived, I told the dentist that I believed I had an infection at the extraction site from a wisdom tooth removal about a month ago. As a biologist, I do have some experience in these things, and was almost certain thats what the problem was. I was complaining of sudden jaw pain (out of nowhere after my healing process had all gone fine), a warm cheek, and a bump in my mouth (large enough that I could take a picture oh with my phone!). The dentist appeared to be in a rush, and I felt as though he was simply trying to get me out of his way. He poked my incision site (which is not at all where the bump was), asked me if it hurt, told me that my pain was completely normal, and gave me a prescription for pain. The night after seeing him, the infection got worse, causing a fever, swelling, and in extreme pain. I called up the surgeon I had seen and he gave me a prescription for an antibiotic. The infection has already improved, and I just started the medication today. I am appalled at how easily the dentist dismissed my concerns when they were fully valid ones, and merely rushed me out of the office.I will not be returning to this practice.

This office is very good at smoke screens and doubletalk.. I have been waiting for a return call from anyone at this office for 3 weeks. I have left lots of messages but no responses. They change information without explanation or justification. And then refuse to return calls. Maybe they should hire some new people.

I thought I had finally found a good dentist, but I came to get one tooth extracted, afterwards I found out that the one next to it was broken off, nobody said anything; then I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic prescribed causing me to experience severe diarrhea. Im still hanging in there, I really want my teeth fixed.The thing that made me think things werent going right was the dentist that started the root canal couldnt finish the job, so they switched me to another dentist that wasnt gentle, I really liked him, two thumbs up, finally! All was well, I think my appointments were scheduled on Tuesdays, for no reason at all they gave me a Saturday appointment, but with the other dentist I got lock jaw, Im done.

THE OLD LADY RECEPTIONIST WITH THE JACKED UP EYEBROWS IS RUDE AND THE YOUNG ONE SEEMS LIKE SHE COULDNT CARE LESS ABOUT BEING THERE. I HAVE HAD TO GO BACK MORE THAN 6 TIMES TO REPAIR THE TEMPORARY CROWNS THAT WERE ONLY SUPPOSED TO BE IN MY MOUTH FOR THREE WEEKS. I AM GOING ON WEEK 6 BECAUSE THEY CRACKED THE PERMANENT PIECE TRYING TO FORCE IT INTO A SPACE THAT IT CLEARLY DID NOT FIT! NOW I HAVE TO TO WAIT AN ADDITIONAL 3 WEEKS FOR THE REPLACEMENT PERMANENT PIECE! I AM IN CONSTANT PAIN AND THE DOCTOR REFUSES TO WRITE A SCRIPT FOR ANYTHING STRONGER THAN TYLENOL 3. AND ONLY GAVE ME 8 OF THOSE! DURING THE VISIT THERE IS ALWAYS A LONG WAIT AND WHEN YOU FINALLY GET IN A CHAIR THE DOCTOR IS JUGGLING MULTIPLE PATIENTS SIMULTANEOUSLY, DOING SOME WORK ON THIS ONE THEN MOVING ON TO THE NEXT AND SO ON. OVERALL TRULY DISGUSTED WITH THIS EXPERIENCE!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!SIDENOTE: THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I AM TRYING THIS LOCATION. THE FIRST TIME 5 YEARS AGO, I HAD A TOOTH PULLED THERE ( THE SPACE THE PERMANENT PIECE WOULDNT FIT IN). THE DENTIST WAS VERY HEAVY HANDED AND ACTUALLY BROKE THE BONE IN THE FLOOR OF MY SINUS CAVITY. I ENDED UP WITH A MASSIVE INFECTION AND WAS ACTUALLY HOSPITALIZED FOR TWO DAYS, WHEN I REPORTED THIS TO THE OFFICE THEY SAID THESE THINGS HAPPEN OFTEN BECAUSE THAT BONE IS SO THIN. NO APOLOGY, NO REFUND PARTIAL OR OTHERWISE.I SHOULD NEVER HAVE GONE BACK!

Ive been using this location off and on for about 10yrs but coming back in 2019 they are under a New Dentist Dr. Gelbret and hes dope. The entire staff is attentive to my needs and Dr. Gelbret really puts you at ease and doesnt mind all the questions. I never really had issues before but I will say previously the Drs/nurses just took xrays and got to work. No small talk, no explanation really of what needed to be done. Not complaining because I still had amazing dental work done and I was appreciative of that but def like the new direction here and plan to stay and get my dental work needs done here. Place is clean, friendly and just great staff! Thank you

Great service. This is my go to dentist for everythin from cleanings to implants. Ill admit I freak out as soon as I know I need dental work. They spend the time to explain all that you can expect from a proceedure and go out of their way to to make sure to reduce your anxiety.

The Hygienst was wonderful and did a great job cleaning my sons teeth. The receptionists were great too. Thank you!

Assistant answering phones was rude, repeating the same thing is not giving an explanation about assigned office or plans. Tone was miserable and very unwelcoming. Sounded disappointed that I had another insurance as if it was a surprise... never coming to the office or network again.

I would never recommend this office. I first scheduled a cleaning appointment and at the time of my visit come to find the hygienist had left early and they could not do my cleaning. The staff are all very rude and do absolutely nothing to take care of their customers. Everyone seems very rushed and there is no attention given to the patient. Irony of ironies given the name gentle dental I have never had a rougher cleaning in my life yet then was told that my gums were bleeding because of lack of flossing. Would HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere regardless of this office location convenience to center city.

The 13th and Walnut location is perfect for people who work in Center City Philadelphia! As a Nurse I was able to fit my visits into my busy work schedule! The staff was friendly, professional and expeditious! They even had a clean-cut and visuslly appealing staff!

I have been going to this place for a while because this is one of the places that accepts my dental coverage. A couple of years ago I was told that I needed a procedure that had a co-pay. I paid a partial payment toward that procedure ... unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to proceed with this procedure in a timely manner.Two months ago I went back for a very long overdue cleaning and to ask if I could proceed with the dental work ... I reminded them that I had already partially paid. I payment was found in my records that had no explanation ... and I was told that the manager would look into it by calling their headquarters.I was told that after looking into it the manager would call me back. No call received, I called back after 1 week and was told the manager would call me back, I called again and was told the same thing .... STILL WAITING.

Great mid town dentistry. Great staff, from the receptionists, to the assistants to the doctors.Dr. Shrestha, Donika and Denise are excellent! Definitely the people you want to see when you need a root canal!

DO NOT GO! They are in up selling patients.I get my teeth checked and cleaned every six months from a dentist in my neighborhood for 15 years. My insurance changed so I was force to find another dentist for my 6 months cleaning.I went to Gentle Dental because I needed my 6 months cleaning and because of its location.Just as I read in other reviews, the receptionist wasnt friendly. It was 45min before I was called back in the chair. They examined my mouth, the dentist told me that I didnt have any decay(according to my x-rays) however I was advise to get my filling removed because it is too large and I need it replace with a smaller filling and a cap on the one tooth. I was also told I had a cavity on anther tooth that needed fixed. I was removed from the dentist chair and placed in another chair in front of an assistance to show me the charges for the work they wanted to do $800.00 out of pocket. I didnt get it done and was made to make another appointment for my cleaning.A week later I had my cleaning. The hygienist viewed my x-rays and told me that I needed special cleaning on two of my teeth. The cost for that is $400.00 out of pocket. I didnt get that done. The hygienist flossed and polished my teeth that day and said I had nice teeth and then released me from the chair.Dont trust them!!! They make up issues to bill a patients for out of pocket expense.

Dr Gelbert and his team are the best! He communicates well and ensures everything is going ok through all procedures. I would recommend Dr Gelbert to anyone who wants to be treated with care and wants great service!!!

Ive been calling that last few days for an appointment and no one answers to returns phone calls. This is upsetting horrible customer service.5/17/2018 Once again I tried calling about a problem I’ve been having after being seems 3 weeks ago and no one ever calls back. I don’t know what goes on in there. Sure they are friendly but NO ONE ever returns calls like they say they will. It’s very inconvenient. I’m tired of calling and calling going to voicemail and not getting a call back when they are the ones who told me to call after my appointment.

The first dentist I had there was very nice, he did a good job with my crowns. However, a i do not why, they change the dentist and I did not like him at all. I felt as he was just trying to make more money whit me. For this reason I change and I will not come back.

I was in Philadelphia visiting my sister when BOOM out of no where- worst toothache Ive ever had. Thankfully, Dr. Gelbart at Dental Solutions on 13th street really saved the day. Within an hour, I was out of pain. The staff were so friendly and the dentist stayed and answered all my questions about what came next. He also explained everything he was doing and made me feel at ease. Would definitely recommend Dr. Gelbart to anyone who needs a dentist!

This place is terrible. I had 2 cleanings which were incredibly abrasive and caused excessive bleeding. When I asked the hygienist to be less aggressive she was rude and sped through the rest of the cleaning which was NOT thorough- she didnt even floss my teeth. When she did try to explain something it was difficult to understand her because she speaks very broken English. I was prepared to speak with the Dr. about this and then was told he was too busy to see me and that if I wanted him to check my mouth I would have to come back another day! On top of all of this they never answer the phone or return messages.

Great experience! They were very kind with me and worked with me even though I didn’t have insurance and flawlessly took out my wisdom teeth, back at work the next day with no pain.

I have been a patient of this location of Gentle Dental for years. Everyones experience is different, for the most part, I have had great care. Dr Shrestha takes excellent care of me. He came to the office in January 2015 which I was apprehensive because I had a great relationship with my former dentist. When we met, he saw that I wasnt prepared for a new dentist, he asked me to give him a chance and I am so glad I did. Hes awesome and has a great bedside manner, if that works in dentistry. In June, I had an emergency and was seen within the hour. All offices are not perfect and you will experience some crazy stuff at times but I will take the little crazy for good dental care.

Way too busy. Always wait a long time then feel rushed when I see the doctor. They are nice people, just have too many patients

Efficiency at its highest standard, Dr. Shrestha and his assistant, Donika were well organized and thorough. Dr.Shrestha is always pleasant nd attentive in his care.The receptionist, Eddie and management at the front desk are very welcoming and knowledgeable as well. Overall I’ve enjoyed my experience and pleased to have this office attend to my dental needs.

I really enjoyed the service there . My cleaning was amazing !!! A little painful here and there but the hygienist was polite and talked to me the whole time .

The worst dental office i ever been too, dont waste your time.. rude and do not know what they are doing, after being there for 1 plus hours i walked out, didnt even know how to use the exray machine, it was a waste of time..

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Was on time for my scheduled appointment and waited an hour before called back. Had to have x-rays taken twice because the technician made a mistake. Was there a little over two hours total and wasnt even able to get my teeth cleaned, the hygenist was too busy! That was the whole reason for my visit, so had to schedule another apt. for the cleaning. They called 4 hrs before I was scheduled for that apt. to say the hygenist was still too overbooked for my cleaning and had to reschedule. Them cancelling with such short notice was esp. ridiculous since they will charge you $25 if you cancel your apt. with less than 24 hrs. notice! I dont plan to return here, the place was also very shabby-looking, like going to the dentist isnt depressing enough!

Dr Gelbart was great ! He gets a 5 star!

This office had me come into the office just to tell me they dont take my insurance!!! I was taken to the back and waited for 30 minutes for the doctor to inconvenience me by telling me they dont take my insurance.STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME!! THE STAFF IS HORRIBLE&DISMISSIVE OF HOW THE PATIENT FEELS!!

Great staff and fast procedure. 4 stars because the X-ray technician was a little rough so the underside of my tongue was all cut up and got a canker sore from it.

I received very good care the waiting time wasPerfect and the service was also very good I would highly recommend their services.

Rude people at that front desk. if you want great service I suggest you go to another place or To the South Philly location .

Dont go, its a waste of time.Wait time is extremely long normally close to 1 hour, even with appointment.Dentist was not nice and not informative at all.I do not recommend to go there.

Worst experience ever! I confirmed with manager before I left the office that I had pay in full . However, they sent me a bill in months that I had an extra bill . I called couple times to the office, the front desk said manager would call me back which she never did. DO NOT GO HERE TO FIX YOUR TEETH. They dont know what they are doing, and denied what they said to the customer.

Sadly the dentists are pretty decent as are the hygeinists. One of the front desk staff is extremely professional and friendly as well. The place goes to the bottom of the pile because of the 2nd front desk receptionist who is a middle aged eastern european lady. Extremely rude and unprofessional. How she scored a job in this economy is beyond me. My family are paying customers and the lady is super rude to us. Perhaps its because she racist, stupid, ignorant or all three. I changed dentists because of this woman. Perhaps she has maybe a good fit as a prison guard in a super max prison but if a an office hires someone with her attitude to man a front desk then they got to be mad.

Good morning!I am emailing the corporate head quarters because I had an extraction done on last Thursday. Two teeth were pulled one was successful and the last one on my upper right hand side was NOT! The dentist that did the procedures was NOT PROFESSIONAL along with his employee. His dental assistant name was Denise, I cant even start to spell the dentist name as it is a name that isnt common. His dental assistant and hisself were talking about office business in front of me, talking about someone named Chris that comes to the building and give them training I guess. The other dental assistant name was Alicia and she was the ONLY ONE that consistently asked me if I was ok which was appreciated. There are pieces of tooth that is left in my mouth, I just called and someone got on the phone and said she thinks its bone. I ASSURED her that I know what bone feels like and that I personally TOOK TWO PIECES OF TOOTH OUT OF MY MOUTH! There is a big piece left but I cant get it. My face is swollen and I feel like the tooth is still in there. I wasnt given any form of antibiotics, I asked for pain killers and Denise the dental assistant acted like she had an attitude when I asked for the pain killers! I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED such unprofessionalism and such disregard for the patient the way that I did with this place. I go to gentle dental in Collingdale Pa but they are booked until May 26th thats why I opted to go to the center city office. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THERE! ANYONE that goes to this office needs to RETHINK their decision! I love gentle dental BUT this facility was a horrible experience for me!!! NOW I have to go to another dentist to complete something that this gentleman was supposed to complete. Once again I have NEVER experienced such terrible customer service in a dental office! They made me feel terrible for even coming to the dentist! I WILL be contacting the corporate and even go above them to have this office get another office manager or a new staff! 😡Sent from my iPhone
