They were wonderful throughout the whole process, from check in for my appointment to the day after my procedure! I went in for an emergency consultation and they were able to remove my wisdom teeth the same day! (Basically the same hour!)I have had bad experiences with other dental offices in the past so I was afraid, but they assured me and made me feel safe and comfortable the whole time. It was quick, easy, and pretty much painless. They even called to check up on me the next day! I would definitely recommend this office to everyone I know!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! I really hate going to the dentist and the staff at Afton Family Dental made this a great experience. I am so, so glad that I chose to go to their office over others in the area. The staff made every effort to make me feel at ease during my visit and answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed. My hygienist, Dana, was amazing. She was professional, kind, and very patient. She gave excellent recommendations. I will be recommending this practice to my family and friends!

A great place for the kids. I don’t know why there were animatronics at a dentist but it was nice. Supposedly a man named Mr. William Afton took some children into a room and they went missing? It’s just a neighborhood rumor hopefully. Although there are cases of the animatronics moving around on their own at night. He looked like this

Ive been coming to Afton Family Dental for 10 years. My first visit was an emergency root canal, which is a very unpleasant experience but just shows that their dentists, staff and facility was so great that I decided to come back. They also took extra care and precautions during my pregnancy, because pregnancy literally effects everything - including your teeth. One time I had a problem with my insurance and they were able to work with them and figure it out. Evening and weekend hours also a plus! Cant say enough good things about them.

Afton Dental did a great job with me. I recently needed an implant and Dr Sherestha was amazing. He explained everything and made me very comfortable. He listened and addressed my concerns that I had. The whole process only took about an hour. I normally don’t do reviews, but felt the need to do it today because it was such a good experience. The assistant was great too. Made sure I was comfortable. They let me listen to my headphones during the procedure. I hate listening to the drill and the music makes it a better experience. Novacane by frank ocean even came on my Pandora which I thought was very appropriate.

Great dentist. Painless. I have had 3-4 dental implants done here & this dentist did a great job. I did not even need to take any tylenols with codin afterward because I had no pain after he drilled & put a dental implant. These guys do it all, one stop shopping & they do it well plus their prices are great.

I am usually nervous about going to dentist but this dental office made me feel very comfortable. I had a really great experience with Dr. Shrestha and his staff. He is very good and knows what he is doing. My extraction barely took a minute and I did not feel any thing at all. Thanks to him and entire staff I am no longer nervous about seeing a dentist. Don’t go to this place if I could give it zero stars I would. Brought my mother here she was supposed to see a Woman Doctor first but they changed Doctors on her. Then they quoted her $7,000 for what she needed done. We went and got a second opinion and they quoted us $1,100 that’s a huge difference. They are getting over on people.

Just went to get a wisdom tooth out. Never had one out and had no idea what to expect. I was nervous about not being under anesthesia but, that man was in my mouth for like 10 minutes tops! Amazing. Kudos to Dr. Shrestha 👏🏾👏🏾And the dental assistant was very nice too

I saw Dr. Sherestha for the first time on September 10, 2020 as an emergency at 4:00 pm. One of my crowns (two unit) had broken off due to the old Root Canal failing and an infection settling at the bottom. Normally a General dentist does not do a retreatment of an already root canaled tooth but Dr Sherestha did not want me to wait to see and endontist and told me he could do it. After we talked I also decided to have him post and core another tooth and buildup a third creating a 4 unit bridge which would save me time, money and future pain. He and the staff rearranged everything to accommodate me and in few hours everything was done with a temporary and zero pain! I just have to wait for the bridge to be made and go back in a few weeks for that. I cant express how happy I am with Tony and the staff at Afton and the skill level of Dr. Sherestha! Thank you!

Superb, excellent service! Came here for my. 8 yr old son to get an xray because he had chipped his permanent front tooth. I got the xray and was told the diffrent options that was available for his unique case. I was able to get his chipped tooth fixed that day, all within the hour!! Very professional, attentive and yes Dr. shrestha is very good at what he does. I was very sastified with the results and Ms. Avis was very wonderful and Exceptional as well. Highly disappointed!! I went to have my teeth whitened with the Zoom procedure. The technician put the harden gel to protect my gums to far down on my teeth. I questioned her about it after the first 15 minute session and again before the last 15 minute session. I even took my finger with the mirror and tried to pull the harden gel up off my teeth to show her what I was talking about. I was told no it will get up there too dont worry about it. Well she was wrong and she knew it when she took the gel off. The bottom of my upper teeth were whitened but the top of my upper teeth were exactly the same as when I came in. It was the same with the bottom teeth, the top part of bottom teeth were whitened and the bottom was exactly the same. She saw it as soon as she removed the harden gel and said oh sometimes the gel comes down to far its hard to stop that from happening. I said but HALF of the tooth???? Its so noticeable its not funny. I said Im not happy! She in return said that makes me sad! She put on my paperwork that my teeth was whitening 3 shades and ushered me to the front. I was so upset. I tried to explain to the front desk clerk in a rush since now it was 1p and I need to get to my next appointment. On my way to the car I called the front desk back and explained what had happened. She was very apologetic for my experience and said she would talk to 2 other people and figure out what/if they could do anything for me. I believe if its a technician error they should fix it. I did not get a call back. The worst part of this for me is that the technician saw and commented on the mistake and decided to try and pretend it didnt happen instead of try to fix it. The Zoom procedure is good but be aware of who does it. If I had even received a phone call back I would have written a review after the resolution. The technician was nice but just needs more practice. I should not have to pay $239 to be practiced on. To be fair if I receive a phone call back I will update my review.

Tooth extraction was very quick and painless great job

Over the past couple years, Ive had 4 implants done by the great staff at Afton Family Dental. They are a very competent group of very nice people, with excellent skills in Dentistry. I have had nothing but good experiences and results with Dr. J. Singh and Dr. T. Clark along with their magnificent and very capable assistants. I must admit, the dentist has always been a terrifying experience for me, but Afton Family Dental made it quick and painless. Its been a few years since Ive been to the dentist. This was one of the least painful, most efficient and comfortable dentist visits Ive ever had in Philadelphia. The staff is very courteous and professional. Dr. Tanner & his assistants made me feel at ease, assuring me every step of the way. Dr. Tanner was extremely thorough and clear on what he was doing. Even though this was a distressing situation for me, I felt Dr. Tanner & co. made sure I was as relaxed as possible. Theyre honest & caring, and stand behind their work. I was referred to Afton Family Dental by my daughters orthodontist. My daughter and I were very pleased with the staff and the treatment she received at Afton Dental. Because of that, I also became a patient. I had to have an emergency root canal - which I was very nervous about, but the procedure was not painful at all. The staff was very accommodating to my schedule, gentle, professional and kind. I felt 100% better the day after the procedure. The staff is very informative, and they make you feel at ease. Called on Monday because I lost a filling. They got me in on Wednesday and filled the filling. Good price. But what was good about it: the dentist showed me pictures of exactly what was wrong, told me all the pitfalls and the worst case scenario.I’ve been going here for three years and very happy. I used to hate the dentist, I havent been to a dentist in about two years (I know) and i finally got to my appointment there after trying to figure out where to go, I had Dr. Nick, he was super nice. Considering it was my first time being at the dentist in a while, it was a good experience and it took my fear of the dentist away. The people in the office are really nice, and they arent expensive for a dentist. $99 for a cleaning is cheep to me, i would suggest going there.

I love this office for so many reasons. Before going to Afton Family Dental, I used to worry that some dentists scam people but the dentists here have proven to me to be 100% trustworthy. I have always had gum issues and this office has helped me with this problem while never implying that I have even one cavity or any other issues that don’t exists. I have even went to this office for specific problems and tooth sensitivity and they always recommend the least invasive (and most affordable treatment). They even accommodated me when I mixed up the day of my appointment and squeezed me in for a new visit on the same day with no penalty. I really love the staff from the front desk to the hygienists and the dentists. And there is plenty of parking. 5 stars for sure.

When my dentist did not return my calls for a broken tooth, I called Afton Family Dental and the receptionist, Rosemarie gave me an appointment the same day I called. Dr. Nik was very gentle and I didnt even feel the injection. Tony and Roe were very friendly and helpful. I will never return to my former dentist!

Good customer service. Dr. Singh explained everything for my sinus lift. During tbe procedure he and his assistant were attentive to my needs. Prescriptions were well targetted toward any pain control I needed and followed what appeared to be a carefully planned strategy of antibiotics, steroids, and diet. My initial impression was that a sinus lift is a big deal (can be invasive), but Dr. Singh made it seem less so during the 90 minute to 2 hour procedure. Very good work overall.

DONT GO HERE. Went here for a teeth cleaning because I thought id save a drive back home to go to my normal dentist. Ill get straight to the point. Cleaned my teeth (which hurt like hell) while asking me questions about my job (which I later found out because they were trying to see if I made a good living) and then said I had 4 cavities. FOUR cavities! Ive never had a cavity in my life and knew they were full of sh*t. Then they told me an outrageous amount to fill each cavity. THEN they said I also need teeth correction. It was like being at a car dealership, trying to be sold things left and right. I obviously didnt believe them so went to a dentist by my office near Rittenhouse and first question they asked Who said you had 4 cavities?. They didnt see any and asked if the person who I saw looked like a new dentist out of school (which could be possible). I waited a couple months and stopped by my dentist in my hometown because if anyones fixing my teeth, it should be someone I trust. They took a look and surprise surprise.. no cavities. I cant believe there are still people like this that try to rip innocent people off.

When I made my first appointment with Afton Dental I was a dental chicken. I had a couple of bad experiences with dentists and had no desire to go to a dentist again, but I have been going now for over a year and have not had a problem with the care given. The staff is very accomodating and work to schedule an appointment around you. If you are a dental chicken, I suggest you give Afton Dental a chance. Dr. Clark is very good at putting you at ease and makes sure that you are not in pain (very important), and he explains everything he is doing. I kept postponing my appointment for the implant. I was scared especially after reviewing other peoples experience with other dentist. Dr. Nick and his team did a wonderful job for my implant. I didnt have to use the pain killer they gave me because I didnt feel no pain after the screw was planted. Ive had other works from root canal to regular cleaning, and I must confess Afton is the best. I recently convinced my gf to abandon her dentist to come to Afton. She was so happy after her encounter with Dr. Nick. She paid less than what she used to pay at her former dentist. I strongly do recommend Afton dentist

Afton Family Dental is the dental location and services I have used for several years. Each visit has been a great experience. Dr. Tahira Rizvi is among the best dental staff in Philadelphia. She uses her experience and dental training/knowledge to fulfill dental needs/request which always sends her patients away with a smile and a desire to fill every remaining appointment. When I need dental services Dr. Rizvis number is the one that is never lost.

I had implants done and the crowns have come off 4 times. Now I cant be seen to put the crown back on for over 2 weeks. Getting a new dentist. Update - After complaint I was seen (only waiting a couple of days). This was the 2nd time I was told to wait. First time a few days, second time 2 weeks, which was rectified.

It was not worth spending time and money.Office and equipments were quite old looking and receptionist office were full of food.Dentist was not informative at all and no explanation what so ever.Dont go, its a waste of time.
