At this time I have not used Mr.Kirby but I did have a consultation. I currently have an attorney that has been with my case a long time so a 3rd parties position was very helpful. Mr.Kirby was so good! His fees are very fair and all that good stuff but his thought process was impressive. He really cared about my case and had some great strategies about handling my custody case. Due to personal circumstances I was not able to retain him at this time but felt so good about our meeting that I felt I needed to at least share my great experience. If you are looking for a strong and smart family attorney this is your guy. Searching for representation can be such a nightmare so I thought I would write a review that would have helped me and others.

Called for a consultation and the representative I spoke to said they dont believe they would be able to assist with my specific case but I could schedule a consultation with an attorney to discuss the facts. In order for me to schedule a consultation they wanted a $100 payment up front. If after speaking to an attorney they in fact could not handle my case they would not offer a refund. So, Im basically paying $100 for the attorney to tell me whether or not they handle my type of case? Thats like paying a $100 entrance fee to Target for a chance they have the item you are looking for. Terrible business practice to charge someone up front for a consultation when youre own representative said they dont believe they would be able to assist.

I decided to go with Mr. Kirby as my rep for my custody case based on the reviews and further investigation and it was the best decision I’ve made in a long time. During the consultation he was open, honest and made me feel like a priority. Right away I felt at ease and confident I would be able to get the detailed custody order I felt most comfortable with. I had a consultation with Mr. Kirby yesterday. I must say that I was overwhelmed by the accomplishments that he has achieved. Talking to him brought a little bit of relief as I am going through a custody battle for my daughter. Im still stressed, as anyone would be when it comes to your child whom you have raised. Im currently going through a really nasty custody battle out in NJ with my ex-husband. I needed an attorney that understood not only PA law but NJ law as well. There were a few attorneys that came up with great ratings, but they didnt seem to be overly concerned with how my current matter was being handled. See I have an NJ attorney already but he only practiced in NJ and didnt have a license to practice in PA. So he wasnt familiar with PA laws and what options I had in Philadelphia. My ex and I both lived in Philadelphia for the past year and had a custody order based out of NJ that my ex filed a counter motion against. I needed someone to help me understand my rights with both PA and NJ. When I first called Mr. Kirby and explained my situation he stated that because I had a current attorney in NJ that he couldnt really discuss the case not because he wasnt allowed to but because of integrity and respect for his fellow attorney. This is the first I heard any attorney say to me. The rest were ready to have me fire my current attorney and take over the matter in which I wasnt comfortable with. That initial phone call made my decision for me because most attorneys are looking to get more money from you while he was giving me his honest feedback and your integrity is everything. I immediately scheduled an in person consultation with him. After meeting with Mr. Kirby, he completely put me at ease and regained my confidence back with my current case. My NJ attorney is great but because he didnt understand PA law it was difficult to understand my rights and what procedures needed to be followed. When Mr. Kirby got in touch with my NJ attorney they got along great and exchanged information regarding my case to prepare him for when he can have the matter moved over to PA. Since my exs current attorney keeps requesting more motions and wasnt willing to come to a settlement on the matter this case has dragged on in NJ since September and wont be finalized (hopefully) till December. Mr. Kirby has never declined one of my calls and has been extremely mindful of my time and the money I am spending because technically I am currently paying for 2 attorneys on retainer.
