Ive been represented by Adam Horwitz in 3 domestic cases; 1 for a Divorce and 2 for Child support. Mr. Horwitz was very professional & responsive with communication of progress & status in all cases. The most important thing was Mr. Horwitz represented me beyond expectation ensuring I was not taken advantage of by the Court System. All cases was handled to my satisfaction. His rates was excellent and service even better. Truly satisfied and would recommend him to anyone having to deal with the PA Domestic Relations Dept. to ensure theyre given a fair & honest account of the laws within the system.
Adam Horwitz handled my son’s name change case and we received a successfully outcome!. I have no doubt that this positive result was due to Adam’s preparation and legal experience. I highly recommend Adam as a qualified and highly competent attorney. He’s also personable and transparent about costs and fees. That’s rare for attorneys in my experience.
A great lawyer and a great person. I highly recommend Him.
I had Adam represent me as my attorney and his expertise in this field showed. He helped me go through a messy custody battle and the results of what was best for the well being of my child. I highly recommend him if you want a good outcome for your kids he is a good choice. He’s very patient and gives the best advice for your case. Thanks so much Adam I would highly recommend you to anyone.
Adam is a very experienced lawyer who always offers you the best advice. I have a very complex case that covers almost all civil court cases (divorce, protection orders, custody, division of property). Also, Adam gave me advice to apply for child support, but I didnt do it for some personal reason. I am quite satisfied with the final result, thank Adam very much.
I have nothing but praise for Adam Horwitz, who represented my side in the custody litigation process. It was a bumpy road with a lot of curve balls thrown by the other side, but it was always handled professionally and knowledgeably by Adam. I highly recommend his services.
Adam Horowitz helped me through a messy divorce by providing empathetic, knowledgeable and effective legal representation. He has always taken the time to listen and explain what was happening during the various stages of the divorce and has gone above and beyond to reassure me and make me feel like there was light at the end of the tunnel. He was never pushy and every interaction Ive had with him and with his staff has been professional and courteous. He has had my best interests at heart and gave me information about my rights while leaving the final decisions up to me, advising me to go with what I felt most comfortable with once I had a clear idea of what my rights were. He is a kind, brilliant and non judgmental attorney that literally saved my life when I was faced with a scary ex husband who was on a rampage. The divorce was finalized in time for me to move on with my personal life and start building a family with my second husband. Even after the divorce, Adam has been available to answer any questions I had about how to make sure my second marriage was handled properly from the get go. My gratitude is deep and heartfelt and I cant recommend him and his firm enough.
Adam represented me in my divorce and custody matter. Everything went very smoothly and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
I spent $5,000 in fees, to have Elaine Smith generally seem to know very little about LGBT family law, not remember anything about my case from visit to visit, send me documents for another client, and make very little effort at all on my behalf. Likely I could have managed just as well with a little assertiveness and a google search. But she was easy to contact and responded quickly to my calls.
I highly recommend this law office. Adam represented me on my family law case and was extremely attentive to my personal needs and the complexities of my issues. He is well-spoken and intelligent and I believe he had my best interests at heart at all times. I was beyond pleased with my final judgement (didnt think I would get the outcome I did) and I would recommend Adam to anyone in the area who needs a family law or divorce lawyer. Most importantly I felt Adam and his firm were reasonable with the costs and understood that I was working on a budget. Although it was an unfortunate and trying experience, I felt I was in good hands the entire time and Im very grateful to have had Adam on my side. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a family law or divorce lawyer in the greater Philadelphia area.
Adam Horwitz represented me in my divorce and custody cases. I was very happy with the outcome of both. Adam has always been prompt in returning my calls and emails. I recommend him and I would have him represent me again.
Called Adam about an AMICABLE agreed upon divorce with a settlement. He gave me two options: $500 (plus filing fees) for an agreement and divorce, or $1500, and the agreement would be filed with the divorce. I chose $1500 and had my amicable ex husband call him to do the divorce.Divorce started, settlement agreement signed. After the proper waiting period, I find it very suspicious that he hasnt shown us any copies of the filed settlement agreement. Adam assures us that the agreement is only filed with the final paperwork of the divorce. I assume that this man knows the law and I relax. During this time I reiterate over and over about the name change paper (its one paper, should be filed with divorce.) Divorce license (is this what its called?) comes in the mail, but despite the finalized divorce, there is still no sign of this settlement agreement having been filed. Queue phone conversation where at first, Adam lies about having filed the agreement, then finally admits it was never filed:Adam: I filed it with the paperwork. They dont stamp settlement agreements.me: Can I get copies of the divorce paperworkAdam: We did the wrong divorce in the first place, they wouldnt let me file the settlement agreement, it never got filed.I am obviously paraphrasing. So even though we went into this divorce knowing exactly what we wanted (an amicable divorce WITH a settlement agreement) you filed the wrong type of divorce, and lied to me and my ex husband over and over about having filed the settlement agreement without ever actually filing it. He assured us over and over via email that he was filing the agreement, confirmed it had been filed, lied about it on the phone, THEN remembered it had never been filed in the same six minute conversation. He didnt even file the ONE paper for a name change. Yay for long lines at the Social Security office instead!Enjoy the $1500 we wasted learning our lesson. I hope no one else has to go through that. It was probably the most simple divorce possible and you still managed to mangle it.
I worked with Adam through most of 2016 before my case was transfered out of Philadelphia. I have nothing but good things to say about his counsel and advise during a very difficult and trying time.He was always available to discuss issues with my custody case, and keep my best interests and those of my young son in mind.If you are looking for a family lawyer thay will not only help you through the maze that is family court, but someone to help keep you grounded while you are in probably one of the most difficult times of your life, I highly recommend speaking with Adam. Finally, if your case has multi-state aspects - Adam was able to explain how this even more complicated process works better than just about any lawyer I have spoken to. Even though he is not able to give advice in regards to other states, he has a very good understanding of the process and can help explain things in a clear and understandable way.
I had a great experience from the consultation through my proceedings. I have no compliants. My lawyer (Adam Horwitz) was always prepared, easy to contact, and very knowledgeable with regards to my divorce situation. I recommend them, and would use them again with no hesitation.
Very unprofessional, charges per minute for every phone call, her attitude is nice she wants your business after you sign papers she doesnt take time to call you and when she does all she can talk about is money after 7 months she still hasnt done anything but send me bills monthly and I Dont even know what Im paying for anymore 100% ripoff. Im sure she might be good in the court room but unfortunately after 7 months I never got to see that part of her job.
Elaine and Adam are both great!! They made sure that I was given the proper treatment at my cases and provided great advice and services!!
Highly recommend this firm. Adam provided professional representation for my hearing.
She is a really really good lawyer
