Needed to get a haircut before end of day yesterday but as you know most barbershops are closed on Mondays but rode passed Sharp Skillzs and sign said open so I called and then was given an app to setup a appointment which had availability for Monday picked 6:30pm with Rob and I arrived 10mins early and I was in his chair by 6:30pm cut was great he was on point paid attention to details of my hair. Would definitely return

I love sharp skills Norm is a great barber and the other guys in there are good barbers as well great place to get a cut they know how to handle the kids who don’t like to get a haircut they talk to them read books and everything. I been going there a long time so one bad apple in the group should not define what the other barber can do. They are respectable young man

This shop was a true find. I was on the other side of town with a deadline and needed a cut. Looked good, fast service, will visit again!

Took my son for a haircut last week and the barber was visibly either heavily intoxicated or under the influence of narcotics. The barber named Jewels (sp) was very belligerent using profane language in the shop towards other barbers and I will never return. His behavior was absolutely embarrassing, disrespectful and outright disgusting. While I understand the traditions of Black Barbershops and how it’s a place where one can vent, speak their minds, unwind, discuss openly various conversations, but, this was a bit much to experience. No respect or attempt to tone down tradition in the presence of women and children and barbers coming in visibly drunk or high. However the older gentleman, somewhat father figure barber made all attempts to pacify the problem to no avail. I will also be reporting my review to the BBB and will never patronize this establishment again. I encourage all readers of these reviews to examine the business practices of Sharp Skills barbers before supporting this business.

Ive been getting my weekly haircut here for almost 20 years, and wouldnt trust any other barbershop. Even after I moved about an hour away from Philadelphia 4 years ago, I still gladly make that commute. Great atmosphere, with skilled barbers who regularly give back to the community, and proudly share their craft with those who inspire to be barbers. Chris has been my barber from day one, but in a pinch, I can count on a good cut from Rob, Norm, or any of the barbers in there. The shop is open everyday, even on holidays and has late hours so they make it convenient for everyones schedule to come in and get serviced.

My friends and I attend Villanova University and we had a hard time finding a barbershop specializing in cutting Black peoples hair. After a lot of time spent searching on google, we stumbled across this barbershop. It was only 15 minutes away and the service was fast since there were multiple barbers present. We all have hairstyles ranging from faded curly tops and low caesars. The haircuts turned out great and I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a barber in the nearby area!!!

Rob is a great barber especially for kids. The only barber my grandson will sit still for. I always have a good experience there. He has a wonderful personality and is always in a good mood. I highly recommend him.

Good cuts. The barbers are friendly and skilled. The crowd doesnt seem very friendly, but maybe its because I am a newcomer (only been there three or four times as of this rating).

Excellent barbershop, great place to just go and hang out. They welcome everyone of any race. Literally got the best haircut Ive ever had. I also made a really good friend there.

Sloppy hair cut. Dude couldnt tell the difference between a 3 1/2, 3 3/4 and a 3. Shape up was done with clippers, no straight blade. I had cuts on the back of my head. The only reason why I gave the guy a good tip was because my wife insisted. Im also not gonna sit there and argue about the cut after the fact. Now to be honest my lines were real straight in the front but Ive had better fades. Here I found out the only reason why she insisted on giving him a good tip and leaving was because she was trying to leave the place asap. As soon as we walked out the door, she was sobbing. The guy cutting hair next to me was saying the most perverted and disgraceful things about women, right in front of her. Small businesses should reflect not only quality standards of practice but ethical standards as well. For real though, I might be a white bol, but I know shape ups and that was embarrassing. Take your business elsewhere.

Went there for a Cut, and this guy played with my hair, gave me a really bad cut. Ended up giving the guy $40 (not knowing what he did) just to show my support for black business. Went back home and saw what he did, I’m really disappointed. Not sure what I did to make him treat me like that (young black guy with tattoos on his arms), me being black myself. The message was clear, I’ll never set foot in there again. I wish him well tho because at the end of the day it’s not up to me.

My son loves his haircut, very sharp and detailed .. area was clean and kept . Professional service and very reasonable price ! Will be returning to this shop

The barbershop is open EVERYDAY. The barbers pay attention to detail. They also let kids come in on Saturdays and learn how to cut and take care of hair practicing on mannequins. Although I use one barber there I havent seen a bad haircut from any barber there.

Awesome atmosphere even better hair kuts

New to the overbrook park area and was looking for a good barber shop for me and my 5 year old son. I always see the sign and and its in close walking distance so I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, and quickly learned that this is NOT a family friendly environment. The barber with the dreadlocks who was the only one available appeared to be either high or drunk and had a noticeable hygiene issue and a very bad odor. After listening to him talk loudly about pu$$y and several other profanoties with his older client in the chair, I left. Other barbers told him to watch his language and he told them to suck his you know what, with no regards to the 3 or 4 children inn the shop. Found another barber shop about three blocks down with no issues. I too am white but enjoy a quality mens get away from a barbershop, but without having to cover my sons ears. Whoever is the owner needs to step in and muzzle that guy, and address his B.O. If yiu have children, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE TO PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT.
