Wet nose rescue was great start to finish. I was amazed at the commitment and love they have for all of these animals. Steve called me and told me everything I would need to prepare and went over the process of having our puppy brought to us. What this organization is doing is amazing and I am so happy to have found them. Thank you for bringing Indy to us and completing our family. Highly recommend!!!
We adopted our baby from Wet Nose in November of 2019. They are very sweet and caring people, and I am so thankful for what they do. Kim provided us with a vast amount of great advice and information. I highly recommend this rescue, they truly care about the animals and providing them with the best homes. I cant thank them enough.
Got my dog Addie from there back in 2017 but there was one issue, they never sent me her paperwork. I met this little girl the day after my cat passed and it was my cousins birthday party and my aunt happened to be fostering 3 dogs, one of em happened to be Addie a 7 year old pure breed chihuahua and for some reason instantly bonded with me so after a few weeks we ended up adopting her. Shes still got a attitude towards certain people, her little brother whos 5 times her size, her sister, and niece. Although she is afraid of her new family member thats a iguana who hasnt interacted with her.
I adopted 2 dogs from Wet Nose. 3 of my friends also adopted from them. We all had exceptional experiences. They go out of their way for you, beginning with selection of a dog or puppy.. plus if there is a medical issue, they will take care of it before you sign any papers
Loved getting our puppy here!!! They keep all their pups in foster homes and then bring them into the adoption center for a scheduled meet and greet. It’s a very loving environment for the doggies. They were also so knowledgeable and really spent a lot of time with us talking about puppy care and letting us get to know our pup before taking him home.
My husband and I adopted our puppy from here and the process was incredible. We love our baby girl so much and we are lucky to have found this rescue. They do such great work.
Very thorough with the entire process. Couldnt be happier with our new addition and the staff!
Always have what I want 👍
Saving lives and building families is a beautiful thing what wet nose rescue does is truly exceptional
I got my rescue pup with my kids from here back in January 2020, the owners were amazing. Communicated very well, explained everything they could. GENUINELY care for every dog like its, their own. Even the foster family was amazing, gave tips and helped...great place to adopt from ....this pup is an amazing dog cant picture a family without her.
Im interested in adopting and no one called me back
Everything was great I was in n out
I cant say enough great things about Wet Nose Rescue! I applied for Jane (now Mya) on Tuesday. Got a call on Friday, and drove home with here the same day. They sent us home with a goodie bag of toys, and a bag of food. They seriously go above and beyond for these sweet animals. They have a passion for what they do. Every foster family cares for their foster baby, and take great care of them. Myas foster family did such a great job with her. She is so sweet, and perfect for my little family. Thank you all for all you do.
Awesome organization. I overnight pups from M.A.M.A.S that go to Wet Nose Rescue. I love following the website to see these babies find their new homes. You guys do a great job placing these sweeties in loving families. Thank you for your dedication.
There were several people interested in Kiya, we took a shot anyway. Once we filled out application we called Wet Nose to let them know. Within a half hour of reviewing our application we were told, she is ours. Maybe because we had just lost our best friend. We were not looking for a replacement rather an addition. We brought Kiya home yesterday and she is an absolute sweetheart. She bonded with everyone in the house. Wouldn’t trade the experience or Kiya for anything. They will check your references.
I have the privilege of getting a Dog named Panda. Everyone has been extremely helpful in the process of adopting this Dog. Now I’m going to get her home to my house. I hope she’s as excited as I am.
I came across this place after searching around for places to adopt. Adoption fee was great as well as meeting a great foster family where my dog was. Me and my dog have bonded and go together everywhere. I would definitely adopt from here again. Great knowledgeable staff and great people who foster them and give them a great home.
If you want to support a great rescue - adopt one of the dogs from Wet Nose Rescue. Both Kim and Sandy run this professional rescue and take the time to make sure you are getting the perfect, adoptable, furry friend.
Quickly communicates with potential adopters. Checks references. Adoption process is quick and easy.
We picked our forever dog from here she is the best dog we could of hoped for. Her name is Dora. She is 3 now and grew up to be a real lady.
It was fun walking around with my foster dog Pearl. I spoke to some people and bought some natural treats for my 3 doxies. I would go again. It was hot but fun.
Great place
The time online said they will be open until 6 sunday but they closed around 430 5 nice place tho
Never received a call after the 48 hour process period, per the info stated on their website. Called the place four days after submitting my application. Owner, name unknown, stated that he had over 50 applications to review and he is the only one that runs the place. The dog that I wanted was adopted.02/24/2018Still, no call or a response to my application.03/13/2018Still, no call or a response to my application.

Our family has now adopted 2 baby girls through Wet Nose and we could not be happier! We adopted one 5 years ago and one about a month ago. There is a real family feel to Wet Nose. I have recommended them more than once and when we are ready to adopt again, they will be the 1st call I make! Thanks Wet Nose, you guys are the best!
Its great that they use foster parents for all of their pets. Search online and make an appointment to see the dogs. We are very happy with our dog.
Save furries helping make Philadelphia a NO KILL SHELTER
Love animals
Easy adoption process. Look online, schedule an appointment and meet the pets at Wetnose. Great knowing all of their animals are fostered.
Steve and Kim Leslie are the founders of Wet Nose Rescue and Ive been very impressed with their fierce dedication to finding wonderful homes for homeless dogs. They give of their time, their finances, and a lot of energy to making sure every dog that comes into their adoption center leaves with a loving new owner or foster parent, as well as hosting many events to raise funds to bring more dogs into the center to be adopted. I have never seen two people more dedicated to loving homeless animals as much as the Leslies do, and anyone adopting or fostering through them is sure to go home with a beautiful, friendly pup that will make a welcome addition to any home. The many adoptive families who share photos and stories of their new family members are proof that Wet Nose Rescue is one of the best around this area. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to become a pet parent to a new dog.
Adopted my pup here 11/20/16. He was a mess when I took him to vet, but hes good now. They rescue from SC hk shelter, I dont the shelter really checks the pups much, just shots and go. He had flea bites and yeast infection in ears. But people who ran it were great and I wouldnt trade my pup for anything!
Doggie angle helpers
We adopted Craig (now Buddy) in January of 2012. The entire process from start to finish was absolutely wonderful. Steve and Kim and their host of volunteers work tirelessly to make sure the adoption process went off without a hitch. We recommend WNR to everyone we hear of that is looking into adopting a new furbaby into their home.
Wet Nose is where my wife and I rescued the best puppy Cherry
Wonderful place with wonderful people...
Never heard back
Unlike what they post on their website they DO NOT take surrendered dogs from families from locals who have to move or are in hardships. They are misrepresenting what they stand for. When trying to reach out they didnt even have an answering machine to leave a message. When I finally did get a hold of a Steve he was incredibly rude and uneducated about his site and policy. Rescue is to help animals sometimes there is an emergency, you shouldnt always brush things off. At least other rescues who dont take in over 12 week old dogs say so and properly address it, you cant even edit your website right. For someone apparently doing rescue for ten years I feel as if they need to go and be watched and apart of a different larger group. Honestly they need to learn empathy, organization, editing skills, and overall how to deal with doing rescue.
They do great work
Got my moms dog here great place and service
What amazing work this organization does.
What an awesome group. They take animals scheduled to be euthanized and shepherd them across the country in search of new homes. My new baby Tasmanian Devil [lab/pit] was saved from a high kill S.C. shelter, then he traveled to where I picked him up up in N.E. Philly with the help of many people, each driving him north about an hour and passing him off to the next kind soul.Got my pup at an estimated 9 weeks old, just in time for teething, with half his shots, and an in depth medical history. The total price came to $175, but they will refund $50 once we show proof that he was neutered at a humane facility. You can pretty much find all this info on their web page, but what they dont mention there is the valuable care and handling information the volunteers will give you when you pick up your bundle of house destroying joy. They also pass along a good amount of food vouchers, ID tag, toys, informative literature, etc. that have been donated by pet supply stores/companies and the like just because you saved a life.Very cool and worthwhile experience, and we are nothing but pleased with the outcome.
Very helpful and knowledgeable people
I love this rescue
