One of the best patio settings I have ever seen in a bar. Sand volleyball court and other outdoor games available. Full-size bar and Weekly entertainment. Pet friendly and great atmosphere. The price is just right.

Awesome beers and vibe here with a friendly staff

My sister and I found this place and it is so chill. They have inside and outside seating which is great. Theres volleyball, live music, good food, and drinks. They even have Uncle Garys dog who loves visiting with everyone. Great little place all around.

So I guess its unfortunate to have to post this. I drive 45 min to come see Uncle Gary who is a geeked up 56 guy with some short man issues. I put everything aside and understood all his vehicles have problems. I am a mechanic. I understood for the cash price id have things to fix. After making facial contact multiple times and being ignored, I for the second time approached Gary. He insisted I was trying to intimidate him and that he would have me thrown in jail. this is after an initial phone call assuring I was coming to buy a car. Sadly, I came here to buy a car. The rudeness that was directed towards me was uncalled for. I highly suggest nobody help this man. There was no food available. Nobody was upholding mask mandates. He is only accepting cash for a reason. There is obvious tax evasion going on. He is trying to avoid having TABC come visit him because he is in clear violation of the orders. Other business owners have worked very hard to comply with these orders. As a business man, I Expected a little more tact. Not to have my reason for being at his business brought into other customers hearing. I hope this will reach other people who; like me, are considering the benefit of the doubt. Its ok to give people the benefit of the doubt however this man does not deserve that. I find myself to be a patient individual. That was tested today on many fronts.

Bias review here because of old stomping grounds. Lots of open space, currently called backyard 685. Cheap beer and usually always 2 food trucks on the property

We came to see the band Bourbon Legend so it was our first time here. This is a great neighborhood bar. Only thing missing was room to dance and the club was packed.

Love this place and London​​ David band is awesome.

Great atmosphere, good prices & outdoor games

UPDATE: sold .. new ownership and name.... This place is definitely in an obscure location but worth the trip. They have some very good options. Some crafts and lots of domestics and liquor options are also plentiful. Their seating is indoor and out. They have a stage. I was no smoking inside. Prices are reasonable. We had a good time.

Great local hang out. Always folks at the indoor area. Huge outdoor area with sand volleyball courts, decks with TVs, picnic tables and a large mowed grassy area in the back. Much larger in back than you would think. The most unusual thing about this place is that its behind Uncle Garys car lot! When you enter the parking lot (full of cars for sale) you pass Uncle Garys house (no kidding) on the right and then drive around to the left of his house and Viola! Youre in the bar parking lot! Like I said. Great local hang out you might never know is there.

Guess what a place like uncle Garys would look like. Thats this place. 5 star experience for a 0 star expectation. Love it. Highly recommend.

Annie is EXCEPTIONAL! I had the best service of my LIFE. She is an angle from heaven. Her smile lights up the room and her drinks are far from mediocre. It is worth the trip from Houston every weekend, I will continue to come as long as she is here.

This is a great venue to see some of Austins famous live music. Its intimate, smoke free, and has great accoustics. The staff is friendly and Gary is always mingling with his patrons.

This was my first and last experience with the establishment. It was distasteful and the owner was very rude. My family had a planned fundraiser here. We were told water bottles only were fine to bring in and everything else had to be purchased on site. We were all ready to abide by such rules. The owner comes out hollering and being very rude to my family for having a water bottle! We couldn’t believe the hostility he had towards us. Very disappointing!

Nice open indoor/outdoor bar and venue. Volleyball court, very large outdoor area (covered and uncovered), stages inside and out, corn hole, Beers and mixed drinks. Great family friendly place. The word bar shouldnt always hold a negative connotation. This place is awesome.

Great atmosphere. Huge outdoor area in back with plenty of seating. Volleyball court also! Inside they have live music and a nice bar. More bars outside. Prices were a bit higher than I would have liked for beer, but still had a great time.

This is the place you go to. This place is fun no matter what theyre doing. Outdoors, indoors... Both... People are enjoying.

Full bar but no draft beer.No food but Russos delivers.Great outside​ spaces but needs more ceiling fans and some swamp coolers.Bartender, Lexi, was friendly and quick.Lone guy inside with a guitar on stage. Great voice nice arrangements, super talented. If this is the quality of music on a Tuesday night then it must be spectacular on the weekends.As it got dark the flickering lights were beyond annoying and I ended up leaving.All in all a pretty typical ice house style place.

We had a blast and Uncle Garys Bar. Gary himself is usually there shouting HELL YA when the live music is playing. Very well kept and tons of space to park. Really enjoyed listening to the live music and plenty of games to play while drinking.

Sat out side at the out side bar. Has plenty of tables and the bar tender was really nice and made me new drinks to try witch I loved. The price for all the drinks I ordered was in good pricing. Nothing to expensive. The only thing that sucked was that the bathroom door did not lock. Other then that it is a good place to go

My 1st visit i loved the place great drinks great people the outside deck and all the surrounding things looked lile a lot of fun in good weather. The priced were in line with other bars. I was a little hard to find but once you do, youll go back. (Hint stay on frontage rd of of 685 past Kelly ln. In right lane you will approach a car dealership turn eight into the car dealership and keep following that road till you see the bar way im the back)

I have been here a few times with family and friends. Each time it has been a relaxing place to enjoy a drink and relax whether your sitting around talking, listening to music when they have a live band, or playing with the games they have to offer.As for the games they offer Jenga, volley ball, corn hole, I saw some tables with checkers, but I am not sure if they have checkers.Its definitely a great local bar close to home so you dont have to worry about traveling far.Overall the staff has been friendly from my experience each time. I havent really met anyone who has been rude to me there. Their restrooms are pretty clean too for being a bar.Parking is easy but can be difficult when this place gets busy. Its family friendly, but as one fellow Yelper recommended, I will recommend the same thing, that its not for children after late hours.There is plenty of outside covered seating and during the winter they have these cool tables that have a propane fire pit with glass rocks that look cool. They actually do a pretty good job of keeping you warm too.

The best bar in Austin if youre an outside drinker. I love the place. Very solid bartending as well as ownership. Its a beautiful place. No food served but food always welcome in. Fair prices. Good Bloody Mary. Go when its sunny.

Real relax place to get some drinks, outdoor atmosphere with volley courts. There is a large dog that roams around and he is really friendly. I assume he is the spirit and the mascot of the place. He will go up to only those people that invite him over for a good rub.

I thought this place was good at first but today I witnessed the owner being very disrespectful and unprofessional! He started yelling and throwing a fit at some people who were just trying to play volleyball, not causing any trouble. It was so disturbing we ended up leaving as well. Must be why I only ever see a few people here all the time.

If you like a fully bar and live music than this is the place for you. With 3 stages what more can you ask for. And tucked away in this huge Americana themed venue there is a full sized Sand Volley Ball Court. What more can you ask for. BBQ? Oh yea they have that too!

Never would recommend this place to a group of friends trying to have a good time. The bartender was very discriminative towards my friends and I who came to enjoy the volleyball court. When we asked to have the lights turned on the bartender rudely refused because we did not want to order alcohol. The place was empty and we were the most entertaining thing at the location. NOT going back and do not recommend for a fun, friendly outing. Extremely disappointed.

Great atmosphere, good staff and a fun all around place

Aside from being served in a plastic disposable cup, it was a pretty cool place. The staff puts thier patrons safety first and makes sure no one drives home intoxicated so if you are one of those who try to hide it, they will figure it out and call an uber for you.

It was Uncle Garys 69th Birthday. We arrived around 9p. It was raining and the enclosed area is relatively small. Apparently the party started very early in the day because quite a few very happy and very drunk patrons. Not my kinda of fun but we didnt have to wait long...the happy drunks went home. The band was awesome and we had a very good time. I love the the casual atmosphere and during the day the outside area is set up with games.

While at first it appears like a really unusual and borderline creepy place, go and have a drink. Sit outside and enjoy it. The drinks are quite good and the ambience is absolutely fantastic.

If you live in the area, is a given. It is an /outdoor bar that has live music on the weekends until elevenish or so. Older crowd, but it is a mix crowd. Decent prices. More then enough parking. Odd place. Come out and see if is your type a place.

Found this place on Google Maps...saved it 2 months ago to visit in the future...stopped in finally and all I can say is I wish Id been earlier. The atmosphere and sheer quantity of outside seating, decking, stages, volleyball court, etc. is amazing and welk-kept. The drink prices are on the cheap side--I dont know how. Only thing missing us a kitchen, but there are several places that deliver and have menus readily available up front--pizza, wings, whatever. They really need to add a kitchen for just basics--burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries, onion rings, chips, & queso would be enough. Id live at this place if they had a kitchen and want to delete a star down to 4 for the lack, but I cant get over how big and pretty this place is at a cheap price. Kudos!!!
