Beautiful interior and sparkling clean. Bob didn’t cut my hair but he was very patient with my toddler. One of the best salons I have ever been. HIGHLY recommended.

Keep cash with you if you are going in there for a service  that costs less than $35! This piece of information is not mentioned anywhere on the website.I took my 5 yr old for haircut and it was our first time at this place. The hair dresser who worked with us was great and made my kid very comfortable throughout the time. However when it came to pay for the service the guy at the front desk informed me that they only take cash if service was below $20.00 pointed me to an ATM machine they have inside the store. Unfortunately I didnt carry cash or a debit card and didnt want to use my credit card to withdraw such a small amount of money. I asked if there was no way to use credit card and at that time the guy looked at the owner who btw was overhearing the whole conversation. The owner directed the gentleman at the front desk to use my credit card and charge me $25 ! With no explanation other than - this is my first time so charge her 25! It was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional to overcharge customer for a policy that is not written anywhere on your website. I made an online appointment and had I seen the info on cash only payment, I would have carried cash with me. Either way, that whole thing was sketchy and is enough for me to not wanna go back. Sadly the hair dresser was very good and I would come back for her. But the owner needs to work on customer service.

I took my 16 month old son to J+B Studio for his FIRST haircut!! They were amazing! They had an awesome car for my son to sit in, toys for him to play with, and they brought a basket of lollipops when he started crying. The staff that did not have clients at the time came over to help distract him and cheer him up. It was by far the best customer service I have ever received and my son looks absolutely adorable!!!!! My son will definitely be getting all his future haircuts from this amazing staff! Also, the place was clean and beautiful as well!!!

The shop is clean and looks very nice. The lady who cut my hair (didnt catch her name) was very nice and did a good job. My issue, is that they charged me an extra $5 dollars for a hard part. Of course nobody told me this until it was time to pay. She didnt tell me before doing it and its not on their website (that I can see). If they had been upfront about this, I would have given more stars. That being said, the idea of charging $5 for something that takes 10 seconds to do is ridiculous. It would be more understandable if she used a straight razor instead of clippers, but she didnt. Ill definitely be making the drive back to my barber in Bloomington from now on.

I was I town for my daughter to shop at the mall and desperately needed a hair cut. I found J+B was super close so I gave them a try. I was extremely delighted that I was able to walk in, no appointment. The shop was crazy clean, the working the desk checking people in was really nice. Walking in im greeted with a warm welcome and not some half fake one either. I didnt wait long either as he called me hey red shorts lol. He was attempting to call for me but I wasnt really paying attention. Then the lady cut my hair was extremely nice and funny. She was well kept up and didnt look like she came off some binder like other places. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted it! She was real quick and didnt miss anything! The price was more than fair and I would definitely go back with no hesitation! For not being a regular and getting in and out, Im super happy!!!They also had some power wheel looking car chairs for kids that looked awesome! I seriously cant think of a place that was set up cooler!

First time visiting and I was lucky enough to get cut by Andrea! She was quick to break that sometimes awkward first cut tension that some barbers seem to struggle with. While the conversation flowed she stayed busy at work, extremely efficient blended with very steady and focused eyes/hands. In the midst of the cut I brought up that I had was going to stop somewhere after to get my eyebrows done and she quickly interjected saying that she also does brows. Im a one stop shop kind of guy so I insisted on her doing mine after the cut. Once she finished with my hair/beard I absolutely LOVED the outcome. Within 10-15 minutes I was completely transformed. She then started on my brows. Painless and yet again.. perfection. J+B Studio has an amazing atmosphere and a jack of all trades artist in Andrea!

Bob is absolutely amazing and the kids all want him when they get their hair cut. Since we have six people getting done, we divide and conquer with the rest of the staff. We’ve never had a bad experience. I think my teens are a bit jealous they don’t get to sit in the sports cars while they get their cut like their youngest sibling though. This is the first salon we’ve been to in the area that does a phenomenal job fading the sides. We won’t go elsewhere now. I’ve got 2 kids who have hair that doesn’t do what we attempt. When I described to them the problem, they had zero difficulties making it a nonissue.

The new location and wonderful and Bob is a master craftsman (hair and beard trim for me today). In these COVID days, Id point out that this location is very large so there is lots of room for distancing. Everyone should feel comfortable going there (the old place was much smaller). Masks, distancing from other patrons, hand sanitizer - everything youd expect to make the customer feel safe and comfortable. Glad to support the local business!

THAT PLACE LEFT ME SPEECHLESS...THEY SPENT ALOT OF TIME ON HOW I LOOK TO MAKE ME FEEL GOOD TOWARDS MYSELF....

Just trim the split ends apparently means cut half my hair off.Mid fade apparently means do whatever you want.Barber never wet hair during cut,didnt attempt to style it to make sure it worked,and didnt even brush it before I left.After showering,I had to put half a gallon of gel in my hair to get the top flat,which was half the reason I came in the first place,and my cut doesnt even remotely resemble what I asked for.Customer service was great,I guess if youre gonna pork someone,you might as well do it with a smile.

I have been going to Bob since he started his business 10 years ago. I want the same hair cut every time and that is what he provides. He is efficient, punctual, straight to the point and down to do business. If hes too busy, but an opening comes up, he will let me know via phone and give me an appointment that same day. I am sure he does this for others if they ask. I have also had haircuts with his other employees and they also do a good job. I have yet to find a place that cuts hair well in Peoria. There is a difference between cutting hair good and cutting hair well. My barber, Missy, listened to what I wanted and gave me feedback on what I said. Both Missy and Bob were enjoyable people to be around. It felt like I was in a place where the people loved what they were doing and were happy to be working. Overall, my haircut came out very well, and this is a place I will for sure go to in the upcoming future.

Ive always had hit and miss experiences getting my hair cut due to my weirdly shaped head and cowlick in the back but Bob has done great every time. Hes crazy fast and everybody seems to like him. You can tell he has a lot of very long time customers. Weve taken my son to him since he was about 18 months old and he does great with kids too. Just make sure to be on time to your appointment!

Havent been to a barber in a long time. I was a walk in on a pretty busy Friday afternoon. They were very friendly, and Missy stayed over and worked in the owners chair to take care of me. I got a good haircut and they were really nice people. (It might be nice if you called first, I will next time)

Bob does the haicuts for my husband and two sons. He does a superior haircut. Hes not too expensive, but a little more than those chain places. It is worth every penny. It is impeccable every time. Call ahead a few days if you can. Hes busy... and for good reason!

Bob is the man. His talent is well worth the extra few dollars compared to saving a few bucks going somewhere else. Very upscale and high end cuts. Im a cost efficient guy, but find Bobs long history of experience and talent, well worth it. You will come out looking way better than any other barber shop in the area.

Small barbershop with a few chairs. I walked in with two other guys and we didnt have appointments set. They were very helpful in squeezing us in and getting us all setup for my wedding. Nice shop good work and friendly staff. No wonder there are so many good reviews

I’ve been going to Bob for about 7 years now. After moving an hour and a half away to Springfield, you would think one would have to find a new barber.... well after going to several of the “top rated” barbers in Springfield, I quickly realized how good Bob is in comparison. I regularly make the trip back to Peoria so that the only man who ever cuts my hair is Bob!
