I rarely rent cars but price seemed high (ya Im that old guy that complains about prices). Staff was great though. Easy pick up and return process. Fast return (15 minutes maybe). Car was clean and functioned well. Not at airport so of course it wouldve been nice to have a shuttle to the airport but understand why they dont. It appears Budget and Avis are the same company.
It was a very positive experience and the employees were kind and professional. Would definitely use this location again!

Avis Pennsacola. Fl on Davis hwy. I rented 12 passenger van got a 15 passager van with the seats covered in sand and dirty outside, was also missing last row so only 11 seats. Bad customer service at pickup was told I should be happy I even got a van because they were busy and I had a debit card instead of credit, even though i rented van 3 months ahead and was told that debit was accepted. Cant get customer support over the phone had to send an email to speak with someone about it.
Our church rented 2-12 passenger vans for a Youth trip to be picked up on July 6th. On the morning of JULY 6th, we received a call as we were driving to pick up the vans from Mobile, Al, that they only had one van and an SUV to rent to us. UNACCEPTABLE! We had to drive to Orlando, Florida hoping to be able to switch the SUV for a van there. After a little run around, we did. As we drove home, we asked if we could drop off the vans in Mobile since they had given us such a mess to begin with. No. They said that they would charge over $300 per van if they were not returned to Pensacola. FYI,….. they closed at noon on Saturday, so that was out as we drove through to get to Mobile. Don’t bother with this company if you want to get what you reserve.
Car was not clean & and I down graded from a 12 passenger van to a 5 seater due to Covid 19 and paid nearly $200 more! Doesnt make sense but oh well

Great actual price. Nice check in when I received the initial rental....but upon return the young lady LITERALLY did not tell me I would be charged for another day, until she printed the receipt. And the reason Im upset about this, is because I LITERALLY called Friday to affirm the latest time theyd be open Sunday. So I wouldnt be late. If Id been told I was 2 hours late...Id be charged an additional day. I wouldnt have been late. I have the call screenshot, to prove my call 2 days before. I didnt even keep the vehicle, even though I got charged an additional day. Dont get me wrong, its definitely, or probably in the contract. But you would think the agents would mention that upon checkout. Other than that it was a great experience. After being a long time Enterprise customer
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.I’ve had a reservation for almost 2 months, my flight time changed, I notified them a week and a half ago that I would be picking up the car 1 1/2 hr late from reservation time. They said no problem at all. We got to airport, took taxi to North Town Plaza because I was told during reservation that I couldn’t pick up from airport... got there and they had rented it out.The only car that had was a 12 passenger van, my wife and I had to take this back to airport because that had our correct car there...We get to airport and manager Jermain won’t allow us to front of line, after waiting an hour in line that would give us a discount on rental or upgrade.Whatever, I’m about to burst at this point because we should be in our expensive condo already.They give me keys, I head out and car is filthy inside and out and smells of smoke.Manager wouldn’t swap (There was an exact match of car two down from this one) or upgrade... we had to wait for it to be cleaned.We are 2 hours behind schedule.I called manager at North Town Plaza and he offers me a $25 gift card.This is a joke of any remote type of customer service. I will never use Avis ever again.
The rep requested I prepay for rental and he added an extra day to my rental fee and made it non refundable.
I like Avis, and plan on staying a loyal customer. However - with this COVID-19 issue you MUST call any of the AVIS facilities you plan to rent from and ensure the posted hours on the AVIS website are accurate!! A simple paper sign on the door is all I saw with the hours (much reduced) change. This inaction by AVIS is unsatisfactory! Keep your website hours current and correct!

Car was not very clean. When I turned the car in, ON TIME AND FULLY REFUELED!!! I was overcharged for not refueling!! I called your national number and the gentleman kindly refunded me the overcharged amount which I have yet to receive back in my account. I know this may take a day or so and I will patiently wait. If it is not refunded, you WILL hear back from me!

During this pandemic, your website claims to thoroughly clean and check these cars. Unfortunately, I was beyond terrified when I received my rental. Not only did this location not clean it, they didn’t even look inside of it. There were 3 old, dirty soda cups scattered throughout the car, it has not been vacuumed, there were trash everywhere that I had to pick up, there were sticky soda stains on the arm rests that I had to clean. It was the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had.
Ive been renting from Enterprise for years. I have been very happy with the service I received with my last rental. Janice was helpful and professional. She worked hard to correct our rental and made our experience one I will repeat.

Great company to rent from. I like the new location and the staff is awesome. Although I do feel bad for the guys cleaning the cars and trucks in the sun with no shade and the extremely long walk but they do it with pride. They will bring it to the door and I find that as great customer service. They work hard and make sure the vehicles are nice and clean. Good job young men and I will definitely rent again!

Just rented for 10 days for trip to Va and back to Fl. No problems, LOVED IT... So happy with the vehicle, I wanted to buy it...

Booked a reservation on the phone with the manager and when I arrived they didnt have the car.
They will show you as late and charge late fees and fuel charges even on a full tank -Revised - COVID hit them hard and they reversed the charges - thank you AVIS!

Im horribly unhappy with the service I have received from this location. I reserved a car for Saturday to pick up at 12 pm and return on Sunday, just a 1 day rental. When I arrived, the car they rented me was dirty, dusty, had damage to it, and had alert lights on for the tire pressure. I immediately mentioned all of this and expressed my concern of traveling in a car that may have a leak in the tire. They pulled the car around to the bay to fix the tire. This set me back almost an hour and they didnt even offer me a different car. Then, I called the 1-800 avis number to let them know that my son was suffering from dehydration following a military event and that the car would be a few hours late. I was told that the location was already closed, just drop the keys in the drop box and it should be fine. I checked my credit card statement and see they charged me a late fee AND for an additional day. I called the manager and he was NOT helpful, stating I kept the car for an additional day and will pay for it. I have now wasted and additional hour of my day on the phone with corporate. I had the car an additional few hours for the safety of my son and was told it wouldnt be a problem... not to mention the the time it took them to situate a car that should have been clean and waiting on me. Its obvious they DO NOT check these cars out after they are returned, which is a shame. I will NEVER use Avis again!
Absolutely phenomenal service. I had a mechanical breakdown and needed a rental quick. The tow truck was coming for my vehicle and I was going to need a way to finish my errands and get back home. Wayan and Kevin were there for me, in such a short time they had me back on the road. I will not rent from anywhere else than Avis Rental on Davis Highway. You guys ROCK!

Avis is a competitive and consistent rental experience but needs to have better communication for rate changes when using the prepay online reservations and allow local rental sites the ability to make changes to online reservations as needed .

I reserved a Premium vehicle and when i got there to pick it up it wasnt there. Miss Janice offered me a Camaro for the same price, but i declined so she offered me a SUV for the same price... perfect! The vehicle had a full tank of gas upon receiving, however it was dirty inside and out. Dog hair seemed to be in the rear of the vehicle as well as the back seats seemed to have juice stains and the seat was folded down as not to draw attention to it.... However it rode well! Upon turning it back in it seem to be a lot going on as if we were disrupting what was about to be a party in the backroom with guest that wasnt employees. I miss the old staff and customer service i use to receive when they were with Sears...

After making a reservation several days in advance for a truck and car dolly, we arrived only to hear that the dolly was broken and would not compatible with the moving truck. The operator told us that there was nothing that they could do and that wed be forced to look elsewhere for a car dolly that would work, in the middle of a time-specific, long-distance move. What is the point in using a rental company that specializes in moving trucks if theyre unable to foresee difficulties like this?

I called to confirm a reservation and the lady at the location hung up while I was getting my conformation number. Mind you she didnt even wait 30seconds. I guess when its almost time for you to close, customer service goes out the window. I hope I dont have any trouble when its time to pick up the rental.
