Technician came when he was scheduled (actually before I got there... LOL). He was efficient and personable. Parts for repair were mailed directly to my home and arrived prior to appointment. The refrigerator is working fine and I am pleased with the service.

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I scheduled an appointment and got a confirmation but the technician never showed up nor called. Then talking to customer service they could do anything except send me to a department that take 24 hours to contact you back. As a service provider they didnt reschedule.

The technician was prompt and seemed knowledgeable. He told me that with this make and model my repair was the number complaint. The refrigerator is only 4 years old and cost $2,200.00 new. The compressor had died but was still under warranty so no charge for that replacement .The technician was at my residence a total of 2 hrs if not a little less. He was here from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM and probably the last 20 minutes was clean up and putting the refrigerator back in place. My bill which I printed out was $494.50 for labor. I dont think even the president of the United States makes $250.00 an hour! I could be wrong as Im still in shock!

Tech was great, it was the timeline of the repair I had an issue with, reported Jan 14, tech on Feb 17, first visit for diagnosis and order parts, tech scheduled repair for March 18th as first available both times. 2 months without washer and I paid extra for a warranty is just unacceptable.

Hold time on the phone was horrible! Most of the time I got disconnected after holding an hour. I had to call at least 8 times to get my problem resolved. After holding about 2 hours, I would finally GET THROUGH SOMETIMES.I was told I would receive a return phone call and never did. This took over 2 and 1/2 months to complete. The Chat online was much quicker but they were unable to do anything to help except to tell me someone would call me back ....and they never did.

Ive always loved Sears I was so sad when it closed here in Pensacola. I was happy to find out it was Sears that would be doing my A.C. repairs. I was disappointed when it wasnt fixed on the first visit, but when they showed up for a second time and within 5 minutes called(without looking at anything) the warranty company and lied to them saying that the problem was something they couldnt do. While they were on the phone we asked them to let us know what they find out, and they said they would. Two minutes later we looked back outside and they had just left. So sad to see such poor service from what was such a great company, at least at one time.

I had an appt for May8 which was changed. D and J appliance repair said they had left a voice mail to change appt til Tues May 12 between 1-6. Never did receive the voicemail. On Tuesday My 12 we waited finally called said they were still coming they got here at 8:30pm, They were very good and quick replace the ice maker and they were gone. They were good but we never received a phone call to up date us they would be late.

The technician arrived, maskless during a pandemic. I informed him that I had had a flare up on the bake element in my kenmore oven. He opened the door, said “Yep, that’s it” and started punching stuff into his phone. He then informed me that the cost would be $444 and that he would have to order the part and he would have to return to install it at an additional charge unless I wanted to try to install myself. Part would be shipped directly to me within three days. I chose the latter. When I received the receipt ( after he left), I was charged $245 for labor instead of the $99 diagnostic fee indicated in the service request. Calls and online chats with customer service revealed that the part was on backorder with no anticipated delivery date as they were waiting to hear from the vendor. However, the part is shown as in stock online with a delivery date of June 16 and $50 cheaper than what I was charged! I requested cancellation of the part order and a refund of the cost But the agents were unable to provide a confirmation number or email confirming. I was told that only the refund department could address my concern but there was no way for me to contact them directly. Instead, I must wait for them to call me within the next two to three days. My only recourse is to dispute the credit card transaction. My experience with sears home repair services has not, thus far, been satisfactory. I will update if sears responds.

Put out $300 and my machine is just as dead as it was when the tech arrived. Tech said machine was checked and running fine, totally untrue. Ive left a negative review on Yelp and have filed complaints with the Chicago BBB, FL Attorney General and FTC. I feel I was the victim of a scam and calls to customer was of time. I purchased a new machine from Lowes and have filed a complaint with them as well.

Technician came by on 11/11/19, said I had a leak on my condensing coil, took some photos and left. Multiple phone calls over the course of three weeks were made to several departments with follow-up appointments scheduled and then cancelled by Sears, but I still had no answers, a repair, or a resolution of any sort. My appointment of 12/02/19 (three weeks after the first and only service visit) consisted only of a 4:00 PM phone call from the technician stating that the repairs were not covered by my protection agreement and my out of pocket cost would be in excess of $5,000. And this was for replacement of the condensing coil only, nothing else! But at least I finally had an answer. I don’t usually do reviews but after quite a few of these “how did we do, please rate our service” emails I figured I’d do one. In short, the service and experience was absolutely lousy.

The problem was solved by the hands of a very skilled technician. I was very pleased with his manner of checking things out as he went about finding the bad sensor and replacing it with a new one. He also pointed out things I could do to make the refrigerator run properly. Im very satisfied with the end results and appreciate the technicians knowledge. We have been Sears customers since the 60s the quality of everything we have purchased has been excellent.

The repairman was fast, friendly and left no mess. I will never purchase an appliance that I can not get the Sears Master plan warranty with. They stand behind their warranty unlike Lowes who you have to fight to get them to repair a warranted item without telling you that they are going to charge you.

Great service by the Sears technician. He thoroughly explained everything about the service call. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and after getting the repair parts, fixed the refrigerator. So far, the refrigerator is back to normal. Our refrigerator was out of warranty. The cost of repair was very reasonable. Were very happy with Sears Appliance Repair, and recommend it to anyone in need of appliance services.

The technician was great. He seemed genuinely upset that we had been dealing with an outage for over 3 weeks. The fact that this particular fridge (Kenmore elite) has failed us 5 times over the last 3 years has upset us greatly. We are not impressed with how the quality of Kenmore products has declined over the last several years. They used to be so dependable and would last for several years. This is no longer the case. We are in the process of building a new home and will ABSOLUTELY NOT be using any Kenmore products. What a complete waste of money..... not to mention the time I’ve wasted meeting the repairmen on multiple occasions. The window of arrival time, between 8-5 is ridiculous and super inconvenient for anyone that is employeed with an 8-5 job themselves. An entire day off from work to sit around and wait????? I waited one day till 4, I could have gone to work and taken off a little early. The wages lost as well as the loss of food I have incurred has been terribly expensive for me, not that any of your customer service representatives care at all. They are masters at keeping the customers from dealing with anyone who has any authority.In summary, it would be outstanding if the manufacturer would stand behind their product and expedite any repairs needed. As you can see, we are very dissatisfied customers.

Technician was quick in doing the repairs, but failed to give excellent service when he left cleaning up after him up to me. I had tried to defrost the block of ice because the defroster was broken ahead of the scheduled repair. The technician was required to bring in a heater to defrost the rest and chipped off the weakened ice, but after the repair simply left everything, water and ice just sitting in the bottom of my refrigerator. Prior technicians had assisted me with the cleanup similar to this incident before. Maybe a policy change, maybe not, but I felt it worth mentioning since Im the customer and appreciate those kinds of extra mile services.

After 7 years the door gaskets on our LG refrigerator needed replacing. The tech ordered the gaskets and installed them shortly after they arrived. He also thoroughly vacuumed and cleaned the fridge. We were very pleased with his professionalism and knowledge of our unit. We also like the feature on Sears email notices of tech arrival that they show the picture of the tech. We think that is a nice security feature. We highly recommend the annual warranty program for any appliances which may cause problems, such as the refrigerator and microwave/oven combo.

After a lightning strike my Kenmore stove did not work properly. The cooking surface appeared to work, but the oven, timer, light etc did not. I contacted Sears and a technician arrived on time. He said the control board was gone, tried to order a replacement only to find this model was no longer available. I reluctantly started looking to replace the stove - approx. price around $1200.An electrician later came to install other equipment and disconnected power to the kitchen. After completion he mention that he had turned both power connections to the kitchens back on. My stove worked as it should.Was it a fluke? Should the Sears repair person have checked that power was coming to all parts of the stove before deciding what was wrong?I think the latter.AKR

They wouldnt even repair our BBQ Grill. We have had Sears Appliance Repairs Warranties for years for everything we buy from them. They said our BBQ Grill was not warranted due to rust. We didnt cause this. We have it under cover all year long. It is a faulty BBQ Grill. Then we asked for a refund of the money that we paid for the Warranty, they kept cutting us off. We had called back 4 times, and then just gave up. I will not buy anything from them again.

Simple call made to setup repair on my riding mower via the internet. Confirmation was received by email. Two weeks ago today my dryer quit working. I immediately called Sears to have someone come to check it out. My appointment was the following Monday, December 3. The repair man said dryer needed new starter and he would have to order it. The part arrived the shop on the following Thursday and again, I had to wait until this past Monday, the 10th for the man to install it. When he got here, he realized hed ordered the wrong part so now that part is on order and I have yet to hear from him. Ive called Sears and they say they cannot expedite the process. To date, I still have a non-functioning dryer.

FINALLY! After a year of issues with my washer the best repair man in history came out & fixed it. (fingers crossed) First he called & ask about the noises, previous issues and what I was doing when it croaked. Much like your physician does before treating the symptoms. This was the key to the repair. He asked questions. Everyone else over the years was repairing what wasnt working - he fixed what was causing the washer to fault the other parts. My appointment time was between 8AM and 5PM . Serviceman arrived at 7:30. I had no call from the serviceman until he was on the way @7PM. There were two men on the truck. A considerate serviceman or service company would have given me a courtesy call of the delay.The serviceman came thru my garage rather than the front door. When I opened the door he barged in announcing Im here to fix your microwave. No explanation nor apology for the late hour or delay in the appointment.Previous serviceman when delayed called with an explanation for the delay and asked if an after 5PM arrival would be acceptable.

The repair ended up being a multi-part affair. As a result of checking the initial install, a few more problems were discovered.The additional parts and service calls yielded good results after the third try. The slightly lower rating is certainly no fault of the repair group. The machine problems caused a few trips to the laundromat. At the LGs relatively young age, that was distressing, as was one no show. So far, a relatively happy ending.

Terrible. Over the years I have purchase a lot of items from Sears, tools, matrass, vacuum cleaner, microwave, range, refrigerator, and many other expensive items. Never Again. The simple replacement of the oven light bulb cost me $149.43. Wow, did you rip me off. I will never do business with Sears or Sears Home Service again.I would file a complaint with the BBB but I doubt that you would care. Your reputation is falling like a rock and I hope you will soon be forced to close and go away. In the future I will do my business with companys who care about their clients, not just home much of a quick kill they can get in cash. It appears Sears knows its not going to get repeat business so you rip off the customer for all you can on the immediate service.The service man said he did not set the price but someone on the other end of his computer did. What a convenient way to avoid responsibility.I will never step foot inside a Sears business again. Nothing more than an act of theft. I had an appointment on a monday to come on a following thursday and they never showed up. They contracted another company to come. I called that company. They said they couldnt come because they just got the notice. I called and the best they could do was reschedule for the next week. They told me they would send $30 for my troubles and I have still not seen it. It has been 2 months. I have a service contract. I am disgusted with this service. I had to call a repairman at my own expense. I emailed the big boss. I just got an email telling me to call the service department to reschedule. I have been with Sears for over 30 years. Our Kenmore Elite dishwasher (2 years old) has NOT been fixed after 3 trips! We have spent a total of $460, I missed 3 half days of work, and was without a dishwasher for 1.5 months...going in 2!! When we called to say, we are not happy and just want our money back and we will buy a new one, the CustomerCare rep snapped, We DONT give refunds! Needless to say, it went South from there! Even with me vowing that Id NEVER buy another Sears appliance!A better response from them should have been, we want to make this right for you. If we cant fix it in one more visit, we will give you all your money toward a new dishwasher. I do want to say that we loved our repairman, but he did not seem familiar with this dishwasher and had to search for information on how to repair. The service provided on Feb 3 (washer) was excellent -- a very capable and polite technician made the repair very quickly and completely. I appreciate his ability and integrity.HOWEVER -- SEARS service leading up to the arrival of the exemplary employee was totally unacceptable.Problems began with a maintenance contract renewal coordination that went on for weeks -- Then I had appointments for an annual maintenance check (7 appliances) followed by a repair on the washer.I had no-shows or last-minute cancellations on 4 or 5 appointments, beginning in the first week of December 2015... thats almost 2 months of delays in being able to wash clothes....over Christmas.. with company... and the sheets, towels, etc.I had to keep calling in to your offices... no one had shown up....or no one had called.... or parts had not been ordered..... or appointments had been cancelled... and on.I literally spent days of hours on the phone trying to get a correct and complete copy of the contract renewal and then trying to get my washer repaired. And much of that time also required SEARS employee time.I have received numerous requests for feedback from your employees, but -- even though a phone rep may have been polite and told me was that all was corrected and that Id have no more problems -- I did not respond until I actually had results from the interaction. And -- repeatedly -- results werent there.Politeness alone does not warrant an excellent review.One rep even told me she was sending a $30 gift certificate because of all the problems... That was approx. 2 weeks ago and nothing has been received.All of my appliances have been purchased at SEARS.I have maintained and renewed multiple service contracts with SEARS. I have been satisfied overall and highly satisfied with the local service coordination for over 10 years..... UNTIL NOW.Something has been drastically changed in a very inefficient and unprofessional manner.I believe that changes have been made in efforts to minimize employee time required for various tasks, to minimize OT, to improve the bottom line........ well, the reality is just the opposite. It appears that workers are cutting corners (at the customers expense) to try to meet some numbers they are being judged on.... unfortunately, the numbers appear (from my experiences) to misrepresent what is being accomplished. Another possible issue -- training programs may not be effective.You must be sure that the appropriate behaviors are being rewarded. Otherwise, employees will find ways to beat the system; chaos, disgruntled customers, and lost business will result. I want to maintain the relationship that Ive had with SEARS for many years.... but not the horror story experienced for the last few months.Please make corrections that make good business sense!

I have been using Sears for warranty service for years and I can say that their customer service has fallen dramatically. In the past when a repair was needed under warranty, someone showed within a couple of days. Now my dryer has failed without any warning and its going to take 3 weeks for someone to show. The parts showed up a couple of days but after the initial call. But after repeated phone calls over the last week they still say that there is no wat to move my appointment up sooner. Either every Sears appliance in the area is broken or their dispatch system is broken. Either way, Im no longer going to bother paying for the Sears warranty if this is the service I get.

It was very unsatisfactory! The tech from AL enterprises was not certified to work on gas I had to wait til today 6/19/17 before the repair was made!

The technician replaced the discharge hose which had been leaking. He reset the dishwasher in its space and reinstalled the kick plate and door seal. There is a clicking sound when the door is opened, think it is just interference between the kick plate and the bottom of the door, it should go away after a few cycles of door operation.
