Id give them zero stars if possible. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Very rude. Do not communicate about schedule changes. They will hang up on you while in the middle of a conversation if they dont have an answer to a problem caused by them. Will not provide any information or contact driver for updates even when the delivery window has come and went. If you are a consolidator or an OEM looking for a local delivery service PLEASE avoid R+L Carriers as they are horrible and will not represent your company respectfully!Update. They responded to this complaint the same way they respond to all complaints by providing a link and asking for more information (see for yourself). Well, the link doesnt take you to a site for feedback! Its a ruse! A PR ploy so readers think they are responsive. It dumps you into their website. Thats it. While there, I typed in my Pro# and find outdated and inaccurate information. No help. If R+L Carriers really were concerned you think they would look up my order using my name (as shown on this complaint, nothing to hide). Find the address, and contact me using the order information. All of the information is in their system. But they dont. And they wont take my calls! Choose another carrier people!

Terrible customer service. From my experience (that of the company I work for) they do not offer world class customer service. Agents can be rude and unprofessional. They fail to communicate well with clients or provide sufficient details regarding clients shipment whereabouts, they fail to follow instructions so I am constantly calling trying to track my shipments that never arrives the day nor time they communicate it will be delivered. Wasted 7 hours waiting on a shipment that they delayed dropping off 3 days in a row. This is possibly the worst carrier Ive dealt with professional speaking.

I didnt know what they were calling me about but that kid that I talked to was real patient with me to set up an appointment. I thought companies did there own deliveries and he told me that RL carriers does deliveries for other companies. I appreciate the young folk that are real patient with the older generation. Mathew was real good to me on the phone. I got my safe on time with no dents or anything. I would go with this company again. Thanks for some good service.

They have a very nice young gentleman making delivery appointments and he was very helpful, I think he said his name was Mike or Matt or something. My package arrived on time and the driver was awesome as well. I wish I could give this company 10 stars!!

Called 2 days in the row.1st day had to reschedule a missed delivery. Was transferred 5 times before being hung up on by a guy name David part of dispatch.2nd dayCalled for status. Was transferred twice.Then hung up on again.

Customer Service is great. My delivery was promised for a time window and they could not make it. I called in and spoke to them and they promised to deliver the same day, they rerouted a smaller vehicle to get my shipment delivered to me same day a few hours later. They made it happen. Great Service!!!

I am beyond satisfied with the service we have received with our delivery. In the beginning we have hit a roughy patch because our building made it really difficult for us to get anything delivered. I contacted customer service at R&L and they were super friendly and told me to work with the driver on solution. When the driver, Teofilo Ortiz, arrived we were stressed on how everything was going to work but he made the delivery so smooth. Despite the inconvenience we were left with, he was very understanding, very friendly, super polite and went above and beyond to work with us and make this delivery smooth. We are forever thankful and he truly made our day! Amazing customer service from the company and the driver!

You have to call to schedule the appointment and be on top of them to get delivery otherwise no one will call you from this company and your will never get your shipment. I feel you almost have to drive the truck and unload yourself at your house with this type of low quality service.

Worst customer service I spoke with guy name frank in customer service asking where is my package they called on Friday to confirm they will deliver package on Monday from 1-5. I waited Monday till 4pm i gave them call to see where is my package and he said we cant find your document will have to schedule it for you tomorrow i said I cant i will be out of town for few days i need that package and i explained when i spoke with the person who called to schedule for delivery i explained i can pick it up the item since i will be out of town so they gave me excuse i need to call sender to get a release form and that will take few days and this guy frank so rude he just ignored everything i said and hang up the phone on me. if i could give them 0 star

My grandfather always used to say, if you cant say anything good about someone, dont say anything bad either. So firstly I want to mention that we shipped with RL more than few times, their booking person Anne Shuster is beyond amazing and proffessional, pick ups were more less on time, deliveries were fast, until recently we didnt have any issues.We had 2 pallets of vertical steel bars panels i inche thick, shipped to KY, one arrived in perfect condition, the othet one was most likely ran over by forklift or a truck during reloading at the terminals, based on amount of damage on such string steel frame and bars. Client refused the delivery of those panels, took notes on the Bill Of Ladding, took photos, RL was notified, and claim for damages filed. We provided all the documents, photos of previous shippments with RL and other carriers, Greg Hefner and his team denied the claim blaiming it on packaging. What does packiging has to do with shippment that was ran over by truck or forklift, and I mentioned above the same exact pallet on the same shippment arrived intact. I hope I can upload photos for everyone to see how metal panels look like when delivered, and what kind of damage they have. If they dropped them from 10th floor I guarantee they would be less damaged. Long story short, we will not let this slide, our family lawyer will file a lawsuit for damages, and we will share the info on social media for everyone to see how big companies try to twist the arm of small companies, but would sing to a tune while standing on one leg, if this was Amazon in question or any other big company instead of us. This is disgrace to do business like this, and to treat clients and thier shippments this way. Accidents like this can happen when company handles this amount of freight, but honest company owns their mistakes and makes it right to the customer. Our company will never use RL again, neither our sister companies will. Only in one week we would spend more on freight with RL than the amount of claim.So if the person that handles that claims thinks thats the way to treat clients and run the company, good for RL .Everyone who considers using RL in the future, have in mind what happened to us, can happen to you, and this company will take no responsibility or have your back.

Today 11/23/2020Good afternoon, todays frustration has been the worst I still think that the customer service lady is super rude, they also agreed that they brought me my furniture today from 1:00 to 5:00 and without apologizing for not bringing them is something incredible really that the lack of respect is tremendous..Good morning today I made a call to make my appointment so that they give me some things that I bought and the truth is that the girl who speaks Spanish is very rude, she left me waiting for more than 15 minutes and then I hung up the phone and then she did notI wanted to attend somehow because I told him until heA girl named mini came out and was friendly. Despite all the negative reviews, my experience was great! They called me the day before to schedule an appointment for my delivery. They said between 11am and 2pm, driver showed up at 11:15am. Very helpful and friendly. Also received up to the minute updates via email for tracking. Thank you R+L.

Worst company ever !!! I been waiting for my package for 2 weeks and they sent to wrong location. When I called customer service, the receptionist didn’t even want to help me. People are incompetent, Although website said 24 hours, the receptionist said all the supervisor went home and call back tomorrow. I called around 5:30pm . She didn’t not even check the system or see if she can do anything to help. Horrible company policy and staff are rude !!

Ive contacted Electric Generators Direct to make sure that any future order is delivered with this carrier. NEVER again!!!. Were not making them a favor, we paid for delivery and this company made us to waste money and time. We have so many complaints against the delivery carrier that the owner of our company wants to make sure the office staff never allow a delivery with R&L Carriers.

I made a order for a Studio Desk from Guitar Center and this company absolutely destroyed it.Received a text message in the morning that my item arrived but wouldnt ship till the next day. I asked since it was already there could they please ship it today? I was told no and that itll be delivered tomorrow. So I gave my information to confirm my order and was hung up on. I called back too be hung up on a second time. I called a third time, line didnt go through so I called a fourth time and got through to an agent named Isabelle (I hope I spelled your name right :) whom went above and beyond to have my item delivered today (thank you for all your hard work, you deserve a raise!) My Studio Desk arrived here around 3:30PM, the driver had me inspect the boxes before he issued them over too me due to some damages both boxes were absolutely DESTROYED and you can clearly see the total disregard for my Studio Desk. This was no cheap desk your company destroyed and Ive since called Guitar Center to open my claim. Needless too say we will not be using your company again and I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that no company, nor person, makes the same mistake Guitar Center did by using R+L Carriers.

Delivery was scheduled for today Friday, July 10th 2020. I made arrangements for the freight delivery and opened my schedule for the item to be delivered. (Which had a deadline) Upon calling R+L Carriers after they missed the drop-off window I was advised that the packag never made it onto a truck and would now be delivered the next day.. This was beyond unprofessional to me as everything was confirmed and a schedule was set, a deadline was made and due to R+L Carriers mishandling the package now I did not make my deadline causing me to be out several thousand dollars. Not only did I lose a customer but I lost money because of R+L Carriers unprofessionalism.

The absolute worst shipper I have every used. NEVER, NEVER use use R + L shipping. They destroyed a beautiful walnut 60 lbs antique bench that I had purchased off e-bay for $600.00. After R + Ls shipper broke off one of the arms, and one of the lateral support legs and cracked the seat, I submitted the repair invoice to R + L. They cited some obscure language which I could not find on their website and offered me $6.00!!!!!!!! Ten cents per pound. Outrageous! If I could give R + L a negative 10 rating I would. What an unprofessional operation.

Terrible company, checked before scheduling the delivery if they will deliver to the front door (requires to go up 14 stairs outside the building) they told me specifically - yes we will, as long as its not required from us to go inside the building.Next thing the tenant calls me tell me the delivery company didnt agree to deliver upstairs.When I called to their services, I got terrible service, no ownership, and no responsibility for employees representations. Jot only complains how can I expect delivery for the front door...

The company told me that they will deliver the product anytime between 10 and 4 so basically you have to take your whole day off and wait for their call the morning of to know when they will arrive to deliver. Totally ridiculous!

Cheap is sometimes very expensive. Shipments, if not lost, may be received in a deplorable state and no responsability is taken. Advice: never sign off a B/L without detailed inspection.

Delivery guy was incredibly rude and refused to deliver package to the door. He left it outside in the driveway and then fought with me and the housekeeper. I called the company to complain and they said it wasnt a big deal and made it clear they couldnt have cared less about the outcome. Terrible, rude drivers and management that doesnt care.

Its really hard to talk to any one without being transferred to phones that do not get answered. In addition to not delivering my package, they offer no solutions to missing deadlines they do not make. Waiting for an illusive phone call to see if they can get my package. Ever. The person what scheduled the delivery, my only previous call, was very rude and hung up on me when I asked to leave a message for the driver.

They delivered our shipment to the wrong address after they CONFIRMED the change on the BOL. When I told them this they said it was my fault it was delivered. The supervisor I spoke to wouldnt even give his name before telling me off, I guess he wanted to preserve his anonymity for atrocious customer service. The Kearny NJ office was much more helpful.

System is flawed... system schedules a delivery in error... customer gets stood up and the system schedules another delivery... customer complains.. employee refers customer to the system for answers... this is we call in operations management a stupid loop. I would drop the world class costumer service language from your on-hold recording until you get your stuff together... It just makes people want to write reviews like this.

I am referring this review towards one of their employees named Laz ( I assume his name is Lazaro) who is a truck driver. I used to work at a warehouse where Laz would come every now and then, and deliver he would the freight. He was extremely rude, and shouted when I did not understand after I simply asked him to repeat it, in a formal way. Well he shouted instead of talking. Point of this is I am telling people out there to watch out for this guy. Because my impression of him is that he is not very nice and also I wish for this message to reach some kind of supervisor at R+L. Laz is the only truck driver I ever had a problem with from R+L. All the other drivers were very kind.

They are some seriously rude people. Called today to Schedule my delivery when the place I ordered from told me it would be here by Friday. I told R&L I need the package can I come pick it up from your warehouse - they guy says - what do you not get about you will get it Monday. I was trying to talk to him and see if there was any way I could get it prior to then and he just hung up on me. Totally rude I wouldnt suggest using them if there is an alternative.

I am very upset since I lost 4h of work for no reason, yesterday afternoon (01/28/19) when calling their office to make the appointment, they told me that today (01/29/19) from 11am to 3pm I would be delivered the package, but 30 minutes before I would make a phone call. And when they got me it was at 2:45 pm to tell me that the delivery was already being made.

Worse customer service ever. Robert hung up in my face a couple times and was holding one of my pallets captive wouldnt deliver it to me. Only to find out in the end. Alls I had to do was get my corporate to tell him to deliver it. But, they messed up in the first place. The driver didnt deliver it and lost a pallet for a different store.

I can not believe that they will not cover the damage. I wrote about it at drhaley (dotcom) /beware-of-rl-carriers-scam/ My office manager received our custom crate on a pallat. They put it on a pallet after smashing it and breaking it with a forklift. The digital pictures taken moments later and sent to them immediately were not date stamped. That is their reason for refusal.
