Let me preface my review by saying I have had car insurance with State Farm since I was 16 years old. I carried it through college and eventually across the country from Michigan to Florida. I have NEVER had any issues with any agent except Michelle Silva.When I first moved to Florida I lived in Dania Beach, so I was transferred to an agent closer to there. When we bought our house in Pembroke Pines I wanted an agent who was closer to home so State Farm recommended this office... at first there were no issues, but then comes the games...My husband and I got married last summer, so naturally we wanted to consolidate our insurance accounts. At that time he is as with Progressive and was paying ~$90 a month for a 2009 Chevy Cobalt while I had a 2017 VW Jetta and was paying ~$140 a month through State Farm. In February 2020 I emailed Michelle inquiring about a policy together and she said she would run some quotes for us, and I requested the last name on my account be updated.Fast forward a few days and she quoted us less than $200 a month for our vehicles to both be insured so I quickly signed up! Meanwhile, she said my email wasn’t in her system (which is the same email I had been using for 5+ years with State Farm??)... okay... she also recommended we look into life insurance... which is way overpriced through this company but that’s not the point...Now here we are at the end of May 2020 and our bill has increased $50/month. When I emailed to ask why, since I learned quickly that Michelle gives you the run around on the phone, someone replied addressing me by my maiden name, gave me a not very good reason it increased without warning in the middle of a global pandemic, AND never called me at a time I requested.Michelle may have a lot of family and friends who will rate her highly, but I’m trying to save someone else a headache of dealing with this difficult State Farm agent.
