Quality hair and beard spot for men. The manly appeal can feel a bit forced at times but in general the quality of the service is better than most larger chains. Make sure if you are going somewhere to get your hair cut that you dont fall for gimmicks like drinks or anything else. Expect a moderate price bump compared to the competition.

I loved my visit I did not get a haircut but I enjoyed spending time with all these ladies the owner was nice and the staff... They where very very friendly and like a family they welcomed me with open arms and the shop was very clean and organized if u need a haircut I would suggest going here its awesome

My two boys (4+7) love coming to the Big Boy place to get their hair cuts. As someone who doesnt know the numbers used to describe their cuts, the stylists are always helpful in telling me about the picture I show them as an example of what I want and how it will look on my super blonde kiddo.Not only do they offer free drinks (liquor,beer,and non alcoholic) but they offer the boys ice cream or ice pops before or after their appointment which makes the trip so much sweeter for the boys! My oldest so bragged to his uncle, and now hes hooked on the place too!

I had set an appointment for a haircut and the receptionist said that there was only one barber available on Sunday, but what the weird thing was that there were two other barbers cutting hair. When I got there the receptionist was not hospitable towards me, also the service was poor the barber took too long to prep then while I was getting my haircut the barber was on his phone which is entirely unprofessional and he actually stopped cutting my hair to text someone. Not to mention the injuries I sustained from the clippers the barber used to cut my hair. Also i asked the barber to give me a high fade and he gave me a mid fade instead like he didnt listen to what his customer wanted i hope he gets fired

I have been coming here for almost a year now and have been very impressed with each visit. Scheduling is a breeze and all of the stylists are knowledgeable and know exactly how to cut correctly.Besides the awesome staff you are allowed 2 drinks of your choice for no extra charge and they also have games available for you to play while waiting.10/10 would recommend.

Not taking stated COVID precautionsThe previous reply is not accurate. The sign on the door states a mask is required. When I witnessed a patron entering without a mask, I called before entering. I was told by the associate on the phone that customers were required to wear a mask unless seated at the station or having a drink.So I entered to check in. While checking in, two patrons entered without a mask. Nothing was said to them about the mask policy. Then, I requested to wait in my car for my appointment. I was told I might miss my appointment If I left the building.This is not the way to treat a customer who used to regularly visit with my two boys. Please work with your associates to consistently enforce your health policies.

Just moved to the area and needed a cut after putting it off due to the pandemic. Hannah took very good care of me. The cut was great and she really made sure everything was perfect. After the wash, which ill get to in a min, she was applying product to my hair and noticed a stray clump. Most would have used the product to flatten it but she addressed it with thinning shears which I appreciated. The shampoo and hot towel treatment was amazing. The most relaxing point in my stressful week. I almost fell asleep.

I made an appointment two days ago prior, and no one had bothered to inform me or update me on what type of services they were not giving. I drove 40 minutes away to come here, but I will no longer be doing that. Screw this place.

The staff is friendly and attentive. I got what I needed. I was tired of going to nail salons where people keep staring at me. This may sound crazy, however, the music was driving me nuts. Nothing ‘manly’ about them at all. I couldn’t give 5 stars because of the music. I’ve been in here since 6p and listening to the music. Can’t relax with it broski. No go sir. Can’t even get myself hyped. I will come with headphones on next time perhaps, but then again I would miss all the great service the staff provides. 50/50. Wish I didn’t leave my airpods in my blazer. I might to visit the ENT after this my ears are bleeding. Jk. Take care

I’ve never had an experience quite like this. For $30 you get a free drink (alcohol, soda, juice or water), a clean haircut, a hair wash, and a hot towel over your face.No appointment required. Walk ins are acceptable but if you want to avoid any wait, you can set up an appointment via app or phone call.The receptionist was super friendly and fun to talk with, and the stylist who cut my hair was absolutely brilliant and kind. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted and continuously asked for my input.I honestly hate getting haircuts but for the first time ever in 32 years, I am actually excited for the next time I need a trim or cut.

I came here for a haircut a couple months ago and it was great so I came by a second time and got a different hair stylist. I told her a 3 on the sides and just shorter on the top. Someone please tell me since when did the top back of your head count as the side? It starts off at the right level in the front but the trim angles up so that it’s shaved where my hair whorl is. Now my hair looks alfalfa. I’m just trying to understand why the “sides” are not at the same level all the way around. It looks so dumb. Was hoping this would become my regular spot, just gonna go to the tune up in Friendswood instead.

Based on the owners reply below, I will not be returning. It was not one stylist on the phone, it was all three that I could see there and the check in lady had to approach each one to try and get them off of their phones.The hair cut and beard trim are $40 together, but then the mandatory $10 tip makes it $50, the credit card machine doesnt give the option not to tip. And apparently the stylist abrasive attitude is acceptable. So rather than blame the customer for your horrible service perhaps you should address the issue within your business. (original review follows) Ive come here three times now. The first time customer service was decent for a $30 hair cut. Second trip, the customer service was OK at best. Today I went for a hair cut and beard trim that ran $50. Customer service was severely lacking. The check in ladies were nice but they had to convince any of the barbers to put their cell phones down and take a customer. My hair cut is a short flat top, the barber said, that doesnt tell me anything, what do you want. For $50, customer service needs to be exceptional, cell phones needs to go down and the customer needs to be taken care of first.

GREAT PLACE!!! I loved every second of it. I came by today for my boyfriend hair cut and Tammy did an AMAZING job he loves it so much. The stylist and all employees I do enjoy. I’m just not a huge fan of the business model with regards to VIP members getting to skip the line. I understand there has to be perks with it, but for people who get 2 haircuts a month, $120 minimum for a VIP membership is not worth it. If you’re not a VIP member, you can be waiting thinking you’re next then you can be skipped and wait for another 30-45 minutes minimum. If you don’t get many haircuts every month, just be prepared you might have to wait longer than normal for a haircut here.

This place is awesome. Always a great cut and trim. Cool to be able to relax a bit and have a cool one before or after your cut. Staff actually listens to what you want. I wont go anywhere else.

This Salon only hires Stylists with over 2 years of experience so I dont have to worry about being a guinea pig. My haircut came out top notch. I bought the VIP membership and Im glad Ive found a new spot for my haircuts.

Came here while on vacation and was pleasantly impressed. I’m very picky and only trust one stylist back at home, but the place seemed clean and professional so I decided to try it out. A Asian lady cut me and I asked my sides to be 1 1/2 but she cut it to a 1 and she cut me twice and now my head hurts for those cuts

Been here 3 times. First cut was mediocre and took forever. Second cut was better. 3rd cut was for my son ....it took 55 minutes for a boys cut. Hed been in the chair so long he actually handed me my phone back because he was tired of watching cartoons.Probably not going back. Its a shame as we have no options on this side of 288.

This is a review with two parts. I went in to the salon last Friday and got a haircut from one of the stylists (name withheld) and it was horrible. I was very frustrated at the stylist as it seemed she was very inexperienced...and the results showed it. That was a 0 star experience. As I was approaching the register to speak to someone, the owner/manager (Chau La?) came over to me and asked to try and fix it. She was very helpful and did what she could to fix the cut I received. I appreciated her efforts and she did not charge me for any of the services. Still a few days after the cut, there are still issues from it that are apparent. I seriously doubt I will be back any time soon and certainly would not go to that first stylist again but I can say that Chau does very good work and she is very personable. I gave a 3-star review as an average of my overall experience.

I paid for a membership, looking forward to an spa-like experience for men. What I got was an expensive barbershop with young children running around and mothers with babies sitting on the bar. For this, I can go to great clips and save a ton of money.

I took my husband in Tune Up Salon.They charge $30 a haircut. I was sceptical at first but very satisfied in the outcome. The price includes hot towel, shampoo, conditioner and head message. Happy camper here.
