I recently moved to this area from Central Mass so I needed a new trustworthy mechanic. Kevin at Custom Auto was recommended by our neighbor. I was able to make an appointment a couple days ahead of time. My truck was making a metallic scraping noise. Kevin started on my truck right on time. Kevin drove it, came back put it up on the lift and showed me what was wrong with it. It was a bent piece of metal shield rubbing on one of the rotors edge. Brake pads still 50% remaining so no need to replace anything. He just adjusted the shield, test drove the truck again and noise was gone. Perfect! It was completed so quickly he didnt charge me! (I dont know if hed want me to post that part.....maybe because I was recommended by a mutual friend?) Yup.....I found my new trustworthy mechanic. Thanks Kevin!

As a parent you are always concerned about people looking to take advantage of the inexperienced youth. I can say that Custom Auto is not one of those types of shops. My experiences talking with Kevin over the phone was outstanding, pleasant and helpful as was the service he provided, making repairs to my daughter’s Jeep’s Cooling system. His professionalism and expertise was outstanding and without a doubt I will use his shop again.

Ive brought a few cars here and he has always done a good job. The prices were fair and he gave his opinions on things, but last time I brought my vehicle there I was told that something needed to be replaced and it was gonna be a big job and cost a few hundred dollars. I decided to hold off on it because I didnt have the money. While I was getting something done somewhere else I had another shop take a look at the same problem and they said it was a completely different part that was broken. A rather simple fix that would save me a ton of money. Im starting to question some of the other things I had repaired if they needed to be repaired at all. Kevin is a good guy and maybe he thought it was something different, but after seeing this not sure if I will come back.

Kevin went over and above to make sure my sons car was safe and sound. He was doing warranty work and fought to include all the repairs necessary. He is up front, honest, and a pleasure to work with.

I had a great experience with kevin over at custom auto he stays true to his pricing on repairs never tried to upcharge me for work I didnt need! I trust with all of my vehicles honest and reliable will definitely be going back to him as needed.

I’ve been dealing with custom auto for the last four years it with my vehicle. Kevin the lead mechanic is trustworthy honest and does great work. He is not like most mechanics that will just say you need new parts he’ll make sure you get the most out of your car. I can trust Kevin with all my cars and I am happy to recommend him for anyone that needs work on their vehicles. He’s the owner only mechanic in the Boston area that I know will be honest and true to his word.

Honest and ethical.Originally got Custom Auto Installations recommended by a colleague as I had a timing chain tensioner repair coming up on my Nissan Pathfinder. My coworker is just as I very knowledgeable about cars so I followed his recommendation, but was a little skeptical as it just sounded too good to be true. Man, this shop changed my view on car repairs after the first time and has continued to do so. It is the best repair shop I have ever used by a far margin and I am sure I will never find a better shop – Kevin White has an idea of what is wrong immediately and you are charged for the time he is using which has always been way less than the book hours. Not that I really want to share this shop with too many people but good things should be promoted to make the world go in the right direction.

Kevin is completely opportunistic. Buyer beware - do not take him for his word.
