Real shame to see this shop close. Mike ran a great barbershop and put everything he had into the place.

Have been going here for 3 or 4 years. It is a nice, local barbershop where Jackie remembers me and how I like my hair cut. I think this is the most important part of going to get my hair cut. I see this with other customers who go in and do not have to tell the barbers how they want their hair. This place has been around for a while and has the familial atmosphere I like in a barbershop. I think the only downside is they do not take credit card. I usually forget to bring cash so I have to go to an ATM. There is a bank at the corner so at least there is one near Mario’s.I have also taken my three year old son a couple times for him to get a hair cut. Jackie is patient with him as well. Was a great father/son bonding time.

By far the best experience Ive had at a barbershop. A quality cut, great staff, and it actually felt like they listened and cared. Am definitely going here again!

This is the place. Clean location, fast, skilled barbers. This is the only place where barbers give proper symmetry to my hair and beard. Staff is very respectful,

This place does not even take anything other than cash and give poor quality while charging extremely high. I went to have my beard and moustache lined but was charged $25 by this place. There are many ethnic barbershops that give you better service and at low prices!

Mario`s barber shop, this place rocks. As you step into the door you step back in time, it has that flash back wow factor. I was first greeted by Mike & Derek, two pretty entertaining guys i might add. They are both pretty much Picasso with a pair of clippers, true old school talent a lost art. My son and I both got a cut and could not ask for a better one @ that. It was our first time here and most definitely wont be our last. we have just found our new spot in town and let me tell ya, reasonably priced. Thanks Guys.

Horrible place for beard service. I went in for a beard trim. The first thing the barber did was talk negatively about my beard after telling him I wanted to grow it out. He said squaring it off would make it look fuller. He proceeded to take less than five minutes doing that and told me I was done. Didnt even give me a mirror to see if I was satisfied. After getting in my car, noticed he missed a huge patch on my neck. DO NOT GO HERE TO GET YOUR BEARD CUT OR TRIMMED.

I have been serving in the Marines for the past 8 years. During this time, I got a haircut once a week. Its very important for me to have the most professional haircut possible to start off my week. I have been here twice now and both times they did an impressive job. These barbers are genuinely great people to talk with.The shop was filled with regulars that have been coming here for years both times. I definitely recommend this Marios Barber Shop.

Unfortunately I dont get a lot of chances to frequent here as their business hours are the same as mine, but Everytime I do, its nothing less than an excellent cut. Tom hooked me up decent last time.

Ive been coming to Marios for a little over a year, and have gotten haircuts from almost everyone there. Each time, its been better than any haircut Ive gotten anywhere else. It never feels or looks the goofy way fresh haircuts can look, it just looks good.

I remember coming here when i was 7, im 43 now. If you like old world charm and and a real place where a guy can feel like a guy, then this is the place for you. All the barbers seem well versed in their skill, however i recommend Ron. Fast, courteous, and he kept the conversation flowing. Very reasonable pricing.

I came here once and will always cut my hair at Marios as long as Im in Des Plaines. I had my hair cut with Joe he asked me few questions about how old my hair cut was and what do I want to do exactly I showed him old pic and he got it perfectly
