We used ONeils to trim a variety of trees that were overhanging or bumping into our house -- they were great. They did everything they were supposed to in a professional manner and totally cleaned up the debris when they were done. They sent of a crew of four who were all really nice -- we will definitely use them again for tree service! The price they quoted was the price we were charged -- definitely 5-star.

I had a 50 foot tree branch land on my home over the weekend and as a home owner, it couldnt of scared me more of what damage could be done with this huge branch on my home. ONeils came out within a few hours and as the team was hustling with other projects, the owner Apollo came out himself to do the work and lifted the branch off my house and dealt with cutting it up and removing it from my property. They were precise and efficient as well as knowledgeable on how to handle trees moving forward to help save them from situations like this. One of the marks of a really good company, in my opinion, is how well they handle things when there is a slight disconnect between expectations between the client and company after a job is done. This was my first time using ONeils and we found they are really careful to do the right thing for the trees to not stress them and yet make them look their best. I was super impressed with Roys knowledge and ease in explaining what they could do to help us with our trees when we first had him out to discuss our tree trimming and he came up with a great plan that we agreed on and I hired them to do the job.After the work was finished and the crew had left, my husband and I had some questions about our expectations and the work that was done. I seldom write reviews but when I come across a company that goes above and beyond my expectations, I feel it’s the least I can do. From the sales consultant, (Roy) and down the line to the on site crew, I can’t say enough positive things about them all. State of the art equipment, Safety was first priority, on time and on schedule, everyone was pleasant and professional. The foreman was very knowledgeable and was eager and willing to share his knowledge. The job was extremely difficult with fencing, pool screens, landscape, and sprinklers. I had three very large oaks removed and the job went without a hitch. Super impressed with this company. Recommended by our long term respected and trusted local arborist. We have a rather large live oak in the front of our home that expands over the 2nd story roof. Prepping for hurricane season, we had budgeted this tree. Which came at a very reasonable price. Their trucks and equipment are cared for well, a sign I always look for in companies. Staff very professional and patiently explained their process and steps prior to beginning. Not one flower shrub in our new landscaped area was damaged. Laid out a nice tarp along our driveway. Removed all debris. And they care about mother nature. Great company!

The workers tending to the 10 trees were courteous and professional, with consistent effort throughout the day despite brief rain spells. After completion, the wife and I went on a walk around to view the results of their labor. We were very impressed with the trees! They look amazing. We were very conscious about seeking Arborists to trim back our trees to maintain their health. They did a fantastic job preparing us for hurricane season while maintaining tree integrity. Very pleased with the service ONeils provided to remove a few trees (including a large live oak) on my property. Knowledgeable arborists who were able to breakdown and explain things in laymans terms. It took a little while to get an estimate, but thats because of the volume of work. O’Neils Tree Service did a wonderful job pruning my giant Brazilian Pepper tree. I live the tree because it provides such beautiful shade coverage but grows so quickly. I know it’s invasive so to keep it, I faithfully prune and keep it in bounds several times a year. With the help of O’Neils it is affordable and wonderfully taken care of with their EXCELLENT caring service.

Oniels expertly removed a giant tree that was very close to the house and pool. The large equipment needed to make the job easier wouldnt fit in the backyard so they created an ingenious work around to get the job done. They were personable in answering our many questions. They were fast and efficient and took care to ensure the house and pool were safe from the massive limbs. The clean up was superb, too.

Apollo was very professional and knowledgeable. He immediately diagnosed my oak problem with chemical damage showing me pictures of the tress that had suffered from the same thing. He said any tree trimming/removal now would be compromise the tree and said he did not want to do it while it was under stress. He did not do anything and told me to call him in 6 months. He spent a lot of time explaining the issue and in the end did not look for anything else to do on the property to make it worth his while. From the first call to the arborist to the finished service, everything was as planned. Don the Office Manager always responded to my emails and was very informative. The crew was on-time the day of service and did an out standing job. Highly recommended and will use them again in the future.

I haven’t personally used them because I’m in a different city, but when I called they still gave me advice on my issue and told me if I have more questions later to call back anytime. Don was very knowledgeable on what I called about and I’m very appreciative that he took the time to give me advice even though I can’t hire them for my project.

I was absolutely impressed with ONeils from start to finish! Roy came out to my house to see what I wanted to do. We had a great experience. Unfortunately, the tree we needed to be removed was right next to a power line, so it required a pre-trim by Duke Energy. Due to the pandemic, Duke was difficult to get ahold of and postponed us by 4 months. However, Don stayed on top of them weekly to get updates and urge them to complete the pre-trim. I very much appreciated this as I’m a busy business owner and the last thing I would have wanted to do is spend the little free time I have hounding Duke. Roy, the arborist who did our assessment and estimate, was also extremely knowledgeable and professional. The communication and service we received throughout our project was outstanding. The canopy trimming of our giant Cuban Laurel was a marvel to behold. The remote control of the huge crane and precision movement of the claw lifting big branches in a petfect arch away from any interference was magnificent. The whole operation was like watching the maestro lead the orchestra. I have always been impressed with Oneills and now more than ever. Reasonable price for great work and always in schedule.

Gunnar gundersen stopped by my home and was extremely professional and knowledgeable.He was incredibly honest when I showed him trees that I was concerned about hanging above my roof and let me know that really only one tree had to be trimmed. We requested an estimate to take a dead China Berry tree down from ONeils. We had other estimates from City of Safety Harbor approved tree companies an these crooks gave us an estimate for twice the price of companies we had previously contacted. We are retired living on a fixed income and were highly insulted by their estimate. We will never use them and I would suggest to others to be careful if you get an estimate from these jerks!

Very happy with the work that was done. I only dealt with the estimator that came out - but he was very nice and very informative. Went over all the details with me and was super personable. My husband was home when they came to cut the trees. He says they were great and we will be definitely calling them back for our front trees. Ive been through a number of tree service companies since moving to Florida a few years back. We have the regulars coming through our wooded neighborhood looking to do some work, and its easy to hop on the bandwagon of getting trees trimmed by those fly-by-night operations with little in the way of safety, questionable licenses and insurance, and a few rental chainsaws in tow. Theres always a do-it-yourself cleanup effort afterwards and that gnawing feeling that you just let someone damage your trees--and you probably did--when doing on-the-spot hiring. This time around, I wanted to do it right and know that certified arborists would planning and directing the trimming of trees, that they would be safe, not damage my property, and were properly licensed and insured; that my trees would be healthy going forward. I went with ONeils after a recommendation from a neighbor and some online research. I couldnt be happier. The prices were good--far less than I expected given the level of expertise, equipment, and professionalism I was getting. An arborist was onsite with professional equipment and safety gear for all employees--harnesses, hardhats, and all. They provided me copies of licenses and insurance--all current. They explained what they were going to do, what was right for each type of tree, and what should be avoided in the future. The cuts were detailed and meticulous--care was taken to get everything right. Their equipment was well maintained and was appropriate for getting into high places without damaging my yard. The process of getting an estimate, a site and work plan, and workers onsite was straightforward. When Apollo and his team showed up, they were communicative, professional, and expedient. Our contractor used ONeils Tree Service to remove over 9 very large trees off our property. They did a great job and were very professional. One of our neighbors complained that they did not move their trucks to let traffic by but that statement was incorrect. Our street is not very wide and at one point a huge RV Bus needed to get by. They did move their truck so I am not sure why he would have said that. As far as I am concerned they did a fantastic job and we were impressed that they were able to pull all those trees in 1 day and left no debris!

We had to have 2 very large diseased oak trees removed from inside our pool cage. The exact location was between the pool and the house. The trees soared at least 100 above that area.The removal required a 160 ton crane and, at least to me, nerves of steel. It was very technical and yet they handled the job perfectly. There was no damage to our home, pool, pavers, the street or the neighbors property.Not only was the job done expertly, but the crew was most professional, friendly and walked us through each challenge that they had. They cleaned up the tree debris nicely. They are the best!

Roy came out to give me a estimate for dead branch removal and another for entire tree removal. He was certified, very honest and knowledgeable about the entire scenario, he actually turned away business. Knowing I wanted to remove the problem trees, he told me to start saving money and NOT get them trimmed now. He actually threw a pull line and took down the branch I was concerned with for free!!! This guys got my business for life, I will definitely use them for the removal and any other tree care I will need in the future. If you want professional honest service, call O’neils Tree Service.

We needed our date palm to be trimmed in our front yard and also decided to remove an umbrella tree in our backyard which had gotten fairly large...maybe 30 high. The problem was that a few feet to the right we have a large areca palm and some bamboo. In front of the tree we have a corn plant about 5 high and to the left are some large split leaf philodendron. So we were worried about damaging the nearby plants when the tree was removed. Oh, also, the stump was quite large. Roy Carter, the arborist, came out gave up an estimate and told us not to worry about nearby plantings being damaged and they could grind the stump down. Imagine a picture of everything before the removal and then photo shopping the same photo without the umbrella tree. The job could not have been done better. By the way, about 4 years ago we had Roy out to check out our backyard. I wanted to eliminate some trees. Too many trees I thought. Roy took one look and had nothing but positive comments about what we had and recommended we leave things as they are...great hurricane protection he said. All the trees together would act like a team against a hurricane. Sure enough, hurricane Irma came through with no damage to our trees.

We have used O’Neill’s over the years and because of their expert care, our yard was the only one that did not have limbs down after the hurricane...we had leaves in the millions, but the trees were intact because of the care they had received over the years.Brian and his crew came out last week and in two hours did a beautiful job of trimming out tree limbs over the roof, over the neighbor’s roof, trimming out dead branches and removing branches from the back of our property on our neighbor’s property. The neighbor’s were totally fine w having their trimmed out over our property because they knew of the great, prudent, and careful care O’Neill’s would provide. They cleaned up in such a way you would never know they were there....except the trees looked great.Basicly, if you value your trees, take the time to have the trees pruned properly... it will make such a difference in the long run. We love our trees and so does O’Neill’s!

The city used this company to remove a nuisance tree that was in the right of way in front of our house. I was so impressed with their crew and work, I contracted them to clean up a large tree in my back yard that had been storm damaged by Irma. They were friendly, respectful, and knowledgable.They also cleaned up the entire yard and street afterwards.I have used ONeills for the past 4 years and would not use anyone else. Their prices are fair and you will not be disappointed.You might have a little wait to get the job done since they are so busy, but it is so worth it. I highly recommend them!!!

I am the President of Park Place Townhomes in PInellas Park. We have used ONeils a few times in the past to trim our growing trees. This time we needed all of our Palm Trees trimmed that had lots of berry fronds and had grown very tall. They brought in light weight equipment to reach the heights with very minimal disruption to our lawns. Cleaned up nicely. Their bid was reasonable, and very responsive to emails and calls as well as verifying the appointment. Did a great job, and our neighborhood looks great. ONeils Tree Service removed a tree for us on one of our properties. From quote to project completion, they were extremely knowledgeable, reliable and professional. This particular job had some difficulties since electric cables and plumbing, etc ran around and under the tree. They took extreme care to cause little or no disruption and the entire project was a complete success. Don, the office manager, was especially helpful throughout the process. I will definitely use ONeils for any future tree services and recommend them 100%.

Had a great experience with this company. They were fast, efficient and kept me the customer happy. We got 3 quotes on our project and they were definitely fair and proved to be honest and affordable. They removed two trees from our front yard, on of the trees was making our front yard an eye sore, it was the ugliest thing and it was half dead. It looked like it just stepped out of a horror film. They came in and did the job and left it clean and done afterwards.Highly recommend them and will be using them for any work that we may need in the future!!!

We had ONeils Tree Service take down three trees in our back yard ... one oak, maple and pine. It took them a full day to complete the job which is what they had originally stated. A crane was used to remove the limbs and trunks to the front of our property. The process was done with the utmost care for property and safety. After grinding all three stumps, all debris was removed from our property including all the ground material. My largest concern was that the job be done with safety in mind. ONeils exceeded all my expectations. The office manager was also very accommodating and kept me informed at all times. I would use this company for any tree work in the future.

ONeils came by to give me a quote on services. The arborist, who was extremely knowledgable told me I was good for now and left with a lifelong customer. Why? Because they were honest! They did NOT try to sell me any unneeded services-as a matter of fact they even removed (at no charge) a small branch that hung over my pool that potentially could have caused issues. I have 6 oak trees and they had every opportunity to pounce on that- but their honesty and reputation prevailed. The city I live in also recommends their expertise! I am going to have them monitor annually some potential situations-which they also do at NO CHARGE. Its reassuring to know that the future of my trees rests with honest advocates instead of drive by opportunists.

We had a great experience with Oneils from start to finish. They removed a huge oak tree and handled everything from permitting to clean up. Their knowledge of trees is definitely at the college level -- i.e. they know all the physiology and fancy stuff about trees, and can help you identify anything on your property. Their estimate was almost 40% less than their competitor in the area (one of which told me, Youll never get a permit to remove that tree.), so I dont think they can be beat on any count.

One of my kids recently bought their first home and was concerned about one of the trees on the property. I had previously used ONeils at my own house and was extremely pleased with ONeils knowledge and professionalism so I recommended they call ONeils. Appollo came out to inspect my sons tree and said the tree was in good shape at this point and didnt need any immediate attention. Appollo explained in detail the condition of the tree and what to expect and look for in the future. Once again ONeils professionalism, knowledge and integrity was evident as he could have told us we needed immediate work. If you need tree work I would highly suggest you call ONeils and at least listen to what they say before hiring anyone else. I think you will find ONeils will be the one and only one you call after that.
