It surprises me there would be anything but the most positive reviews for Hubbard’s Landscaping. We reached out to several landscaping companies and Tim (the owner) was by far the most professional and communicative. He is a straight-shooter and an honest person who aims to do a fantastic job. He exceeded our expectations and we couldn’t be happier. If you want someone who will discuss the options with you, commit to a plan, and do his absolute best to do a great job, then go with Hubbard’s. Tim, thank you so much for the great job you guys did!
Tim and his crew recently completed a pretty labor-intensive project for us. They did and excellent job, on time, as promised and went above and beyond in finishing up. Great experience.
They came when they said they would. They did what they said they would. The job they did looks great, and they finished quickly. I highly recommend using them
Stay away. I should have read the reviews. Over charges and doesn’t understand plants. He promises the world and completely under delivers in what he gives you. And of course he demands cash so you’re left with little recourse.
Friendly and got the job done quickly.
Tim and his crew did a fantastic job updating our lot and planting a new sod lawn. We added dozens of shrubs and they installed them expertly. Also repaired our entire sprinkler system and put appropriate heads on as necessary. Overall an excellent job. I would be very suspicious of the motives of negative reviews, our experience was very good. I will call Tim again when I need landscaping work.
Never showed up
We just had our entire property landscaping redone by Tim Hubbard and his company. Everything from extensive shrub trimming, pruning trees, large oak tree removal, stump grinding, sod addition/replacement, new planting, new mulch, etc etc etc. Everythjng looks fantastic! Tim is an expert and was professional throughout the whole process and we highly recommend his company! They did an awesome job!
Was the wrong company for the job. I had an issue with drainage and flooding in one of our rooms, Tim looked everything over and assured me he could fix the issue by grading the yard installing some lumber as a barricade to guide water and then filling with cloth/pebble. The very next time it rained, I realized the way he graded the yard caused even more water to flow into the back yard where we didn’t want it to begin with. While one room is no longer flooding due to grading, we now have a back patio that floods when it rains, the pebble is all ruined and the swale he dug in front yard doesn’t carry any of the water out because it starts too high and most of the water is carried to the back yard. The cloth floated the very first time it rained, dirt rose up from underneath and is now burying the pebble, I feel like something wasn’t done right. Not the way I wanted to throw 4K away. Tim was a nice enough fellow for the most part at least in the beginning, he was on time with crew and everyone seemed very professional. After I brought this issue up to him a few weeks later he was unwilling to fix anything or work toward any solutions. He stated that he fixed the flooding issue with the one room and that that was what I paid his services for... while he did indeed stop the flooding he caused it to occur elsewhere. I honestly believe he meant well but was in over his head with this project as he may just not know drainage all that well or at least underestimated our project. I don’t know if he will reply to this or try to make me out to be a “bad customer” but if anyone wants, I can send you email exchanges and pictures of job and what happened after just 2 nights of raining. I do want to make it known Tim never avoided me via phone or anything like that, simply told me he couldn’t help. Again I don’t think he tried to take advantage, just maybe took on something outside of his expertise. I just wish he would have taken some responsibility and ownership of the issue. I never have and will never seek monetary compensation just wished he could have came up with better solution other than to ask my neighbors to pay him do do work on their yard.
Had Mr. Hubbard and his crew do a complete renovation of my property to include irrigation, design of beds and new sod installation. Tim was professional and honest in recommendations of what works and what does not. I am very pleased with the outcome and look forward to coming home to beautiful lawn. I recommend Hubbard Landscaping.
My wife and I just used hubbards landscaping service for installing a new yard and it looks great. All communication was professional and the installation was done on time. We couldnt be any happier. It is nice to have a yard again. do not let me forget about the prices!!! THEY ARE AMAZING!!!!. Will do business again.
Very Knowledgable ! Took the time to explain details of our project. I would highly recomend.
My experience with Hubbards was terrific. Bought a house with a horrible yard and Tim transformed it into something gorgeous that even our property manager loves. It wasnt cheap but he saved me money where he could by bundling plants together and moving some I already had and making alternative suggestions. I had to start from the bottom up with sprinklers and everything. He was able to get rid of the old crap that was there and really did a wonderful job, even alerting me when my other workmen were in danger of damaging some of my new plants. Unfortunately, the house is to be rented for awhile and I wont get to enjoy his work for a few years but Im sure he will keep it in wonderful shape until I move in there. Thanks Tim.dont know how he got some bad reviews as I think he is very good at what he does. I think they were trolls. AND what he doesnt know, he has people he can get to do the job so a win-win all around for all of us.
Do NOT hire these people, theyre rude, they do terrible work and there were beer cans in the truck, so they drink while driving and working
I would lke to say that my experience with Hubbards landscaping has been great. They are very professional. Always on time and they do a GREAT job. Thanks Tim, my propertys look great.
Dishonest and does the bare minimum work for top dollar. Do not let him do any tree work, he has NO idea how to trim trees! Very arrogant. I would recommend everyone stay away from this guy and his company. A mistake that ill never make again!
I contracted Tim Hubbard of Hubbards Landscaping to install a retaining wall, backfill with dirt, raise and relocate necessary sprinkler heads, install new sod, and drainage pipe from downspouts, add gravel drainage bed. This was easily the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. Being a facility manager with a large design manufacturing company, I have worked with many trades and contractors and have never experienced anything close to this. The retaining wall does not run true to the house. It is 60 long has a 1 hook in it at 96 then runs on a taper inward towards the house, 13 1/4 overall out of square in 60. When this was brought up during phone conversation, I had only measured the screen enclosure distance and it was 9 1/4 off and was told That is really good on a 60 foot long wall. I said that was only the screen enclosure length, then I was told Thats still really good. Asked where the measurements were pulled from when they were building the wall, I was told that there were no measurements taken, it was built by eye. The wall was brought into the conversation after it was apparent that Tim Hubbard was not going to stand by his work when he would not correct the 2 items that were not properly done. I was told there would be a service fee of $150.00 to move the sprinkler head they moved that was spraying into the pool enclosure 57 straight ahead and facing existing sprinkler head that was 59 away from the sprinkler head they moved. I was told the sprinkler head they moved was needed to water the grass in the corner which is 11 feet away and it was in the best area for water conservation, which not sure how spraying water into pool and on enclosure and atop of other sprinkler head has anything to do with water conservation. The transition area from the existing grass to the new grade and sod was the sod dropped on top of existing grass, no attempt to merge these 2 areas together, told if it was summer it might take 60 to 90 days for this to fill in, but being winter time will take longer. There is a defining unsightly height ridge 15 feet long that you step across coming into the backyard from this side. It has been just over 2 months since Hubbards Landscaping did this and when I walk in the back yard I still get frustrated over the total lack of responsible workmanship and inability to complete a job correctly and honestly. It is my feeling that his only concern is getting his money and does not stand behind his work to correct it. I have documented the things I have said in this review and the one thing that does not lie are measurements. I have suspended all communication with Hubbards Landscaping. They will never be allowed on my property again. Don Loucks
