I recently moved to the Palm Harbor area, and started going to PaP for my pool needs. Every visit, as soon as I would walk into the store, anywhere from 3 to 4 employees would descend on me to ask how they can help, with some talking over others or even yelling from the other side of the store. It was worse than any car dealership I have even been in. One employee named Quinn was helpful, but overall, I couldnt take the attacking nature of their service and have gone elsewhere and have been much happier.

The staff are awesome here. A young lad named Sam was very helpful. Would absolutely recommend friends and family to use this branch.

I was having a problem with lack of pressure from my pump, filled out a request on line for someone to call me which never happened so I called them. For a service call they charge $75 for the first hour then $15 for every 15 minutes after plus parts and labor....are you kidding me, not saving a penny with this company! Found another company who has a 5 star review who charges $89 for the service call then they provide estimate and deduct the $89 from the total and they did quality work. All Im saying is price around, there are cheaper companies who are just as experienced and provide quality work.

I have been going to the Palm Harbor store since it was opened years ago. My experiences have been excellent! Everyone seems very knowledgeable and helpful with all my concerns. They are all so friendly and and they make you feel so important. I just went yesterday and Sam went out of his way to answer all my questions and was very interested in how I was doing. I really appreciate the personal service since I lost my husband two years ago. Thanks to all of you and keep up the excellent customer service!!

Store #17, just south of Tampa Rd., would get more than 5-Stars, if I could.I thought my 10 year old Hayward Pool Vac was ready to replace. I took it in 2 years ago ready to buy a new one. Their tech specialist asked to see it 1st. He quickly disassembled it, made a couple of adjustments and told me that it is old, but I could probably get a bit more use out of it. I told him that he could have sold me a new one. He just smiled and said, when you need a new one, please purchase it from us. That was in early 2018. Well, yesterday I did go to Pinch a Penny @ 32350 US 19 N, Palm Harbor, and bought a brand new Hayward Navi 50. I shared this story with them and asked that they convey my gratitude to the Store Manager. This type of service and honesty is what secures Forever Customers.

Had a nice young man by the name of Sam today test my pool water, he took the time to explain to me every step that needed to be done to bring my pool water back to normal. He was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This store #17 does a great job when it comes to customer service. Thanks!

I needed a new leader hose for my pool vacuum, I walked in with the old hose in my hand and was greeted by Sam. He asked if I needed help, and before I could say anything he already knew what I needed and to which vacuum it went to. I didnt even need to walk past the register, Sam brought the hose to me, and cashed me out. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Ive been to this store many times before, and Ive always had a good experience. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone.

Pinch a Penny Palm Harbor has been inconsistent since corporate re-bought the store. Of course, COVID has changed things also. The water tests are inconsistent what with 5PPM chlorine one day and 0PPM the next. If you test the water at another pool store you get different results.Prices are in line with what they have been years ago (which is usually higher than smaller shops) but sales on items seems to be good as before. However, due to COVID, sales advertisements are few and far between. So, things are pretty much the same as it has been for many years.

First time coming here. One employee was really rude to almost every customer and his co-workers. He must had been having a bad day. Other than that, everyone else was very helpful. Nice new clean facility.

I would recommend everyone with a pool or spa to go to Pinch-A-Penny, especially the Palm Harbor store!!! The staff there is the best... knowledgeable and very helpful. I was very impressed with Keaton Ford, the manager, Marty Ortega, and the very special Becca Scarlota. These people know how to run a business with integrity. Love this place. Been going here for years. They always greet you when you walk in the door and are always nice to ones who are unfamiliar with pools and the upkeep of them. Their pool sample station is great..their calculations have fixed my pool many of times without mistake. A lot of times theyll carry the heavy pool chemicals out to my car for me. Great group of guys! Highly recommend.

Demetri is awesome. Remembers us every time and is really good at simplifying and explaining how pool chemicals and maintenance work. Always very patient and genuinely interested in how our family is doing. Love that they are putting money back into the business and remodeling. Really starting to look good in there.

Jason the Manager and Keaton the Asst Manager KNOW their stuff! With their help I was able to plumb my pool correctly by myself when over the past year I have had 5 pool repair companies and 3 leak detectors that could not figure it out. They took the time to explain things to me so that I could do it myself. I highly recommend this Pinch A Penny Store you will not be disappointed!!

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I WON’T SHOP THERE AGAIN. I came in with to return two jugs of acid that I bought a the day before. As soon as I walked in, I was asked by one guy if I was returning the acid. I responded that I was and he made a face and walked away. I walked up to the counter and waited for the guy ahead of me to finish paying. I put the jugs on the counter and explained that I needed to return them. I got a deer in the headlights look from the guy. He proceeded to tell me that he wasn’t sure if he could return it and told me that he would have to ask someone. Then he proceeded to ring up two other people, who came in after I did, before going to ask the manager. At this point it’s almost been 30 minutes of me waiting there and I’m frustrated over returning $12 of acid! Mr. Personally comes back and tells me that they are going to return it, even though they shouldn’t, with a horrible attitude. I finally got my $12.01 back after 30 minutes and being treated like I shouldn’t have come in there. I don’t generally get upset with people in stores because I have worked in retail for most of my life, and I understand what they go through. Unfortunately this guy just made me want to take my business elsewhere from now on!

Been using Pinch-a-Penny in north Pinellas county for 30+ years.This is my favorite Pinch-a-Penny store because the top assistants at this store are really top-notch. The few I have in mind have been here for years.Many minor pump or filter repairs are often performed in their back-room right on the spot which is most convenient.This also one of their bigger stores so parts selection & availability is better here.Pinch-a-Penny, like most pool accessory stores, often charges outrageous prices on many rather insignificant items. For these type of items, when not urgently needed, I shop for on-line.

I live in Tarpon Springs, and go to this Pinch a Penny. They know what they are doing and it doesnt stink of cigarettes! Ive never left there with an unanswered question. Pool looks and feels great. I have a skin condition, and they are always helpful with the chemicals.

I am a 1st time pool owner and knew very little about pool care. The staff there really knows their stuff and helped me learn the basics. I had to make a few upgrades and found the deals on vacs and lights to be as good as anywhere, but everything was backed with service and support.

They are very attentive but make sure you check their prices!Indeed they are helpful, check your water chemistry promptly, etc. However always check prices online. Went to buy a two kreepy krauly parts, one was $100 the other one $60 roughly at the store. Was able to check one of the parts online while waiting there, and the $100 part was $30 online, they reduced the price down to $65. I bought it. After I got home, the other part found it online at $30. They are very helpful and deserve to be paid a premium for their products due to their service but 100+ percent markup is robbery.
